Comment: Theyve been good to me. The Toyota dealer gave me a diagnosis that replacing my transmission wouldve been 5.5k. Got a second opinion here and turns out my engine mounts were broken, which only ran me 1200. Been a couple months, and its held up pretty decently. A well deserved 5 stars from me.

Comment: Rapid Transmissions came highly recommended by my mechanic. The transmission in my truck was acting up occasionally so I took it in.One of the services I paid for was a reseal. Along with various other repairs. Equating to basically and entire overhaul.Fast forward a year. The truck went in a total of 4 times over 13 months. At first it was for a leak and the speedometer. Then it was for a leak and when I got it back this time it was worse than it had ever been. The transmission was leaking so bad it nearly had to be towed back to the shop. Issues with the transmission were still cropping up.The shop said it’s outside of warranty on the last visit. Which according to the date is technically correct. Surely though the leaks that never ceased leaking after they fixed them four times were?When I had the truck in the last time the manager wouldn’t even give me an invoice for the work preformed. He actually wanted to charge me an extra $1000 to fix the leaks I already paid to have fixed.I would not recommend this shop to anyone. cheated. I just wanted my truinto a rec

Two days later, without doing any additional work to the trans, the told us that we needed additional parts and of couse, additional labor to install them. We will not return nor recommend that anyone use their services.

Comment: I paid to have my transmission rebuilt 2 months ago. They had to rebuild it twice already because it kept breaking down. As of right now my truck has broke down again. Im a general contractor and relay on my truck for my way of living. I have paid over $1200 in rental cars and towing fees Due to the negligence of this company. I asked if they could reimburse me for the towing and rental fees they declined. This is there Responsibility as a company to provide a quality service and what I have been receiving has been nothing but a joke. Last time my truck broke down I called them and they wouldnt even call me a tow truck because of their failed transmission work. I will be heading down there Tuesday Morning hoping they will make this right. All I can say is get your transmission work somewhere else stay away from this company.

Comment: BEWARE I took my van in for a transmission rebuild. what was said to be a factory rebuild went from 900$ to 1800$ 3 trips back to adjust and Chad going above and beyond by removing the fan clutch and his worker bending the radiator hose over the oil filler tube causing the motor to over heat and blow the head gaskets . Admitting it was there fault he gave me 500$ back towards new motor .after dropping 1800$ on the transmission and the new motor costing upwards of 3000$.... being a single father I had to scrap the van with the rebuilt 1800$ transmission with less than 50 mi on the rebuild ..Thanks Chad ! Your establishments integrity is less than stellar.. after you telling me Clemente your front desk guy knew nothing about transmissions and good help is hard to find these days please take a look in the mirror honest people are few and far between. I see why first hand why rapid transmission is not accredited with the BBB.Thanks Chad & the rapid transmission team !

Comment: I brought my 1995 Corolla in because my transmission was a little sluggish while shifting. Greg, and the team at the location on Convoy street did an outstanding job. They evaluated my car, and in two hours the problem was solved. My transmission shift wire was loose, they tightened it and my car is now shifting fine! These guys are professional, and very knowledgeable! I would highly recommend them to anyone in need of transmission service.

Gilbert greeted me as soon as I walked in the door.I live conveniently close and had a friend waiting outside to take me home while my truck was getting fixed but Gilbert still offered a ride home if I needed it which was extremely generous.I got a call as soon as the truck was ready to be picked up (which was faster than I anticipated )When I came back to pick up my vehicle Greg checked me out. The process was quick and I was out of there in no time.The guys are Rapid Transmissions are awesome! Ill definitely be coming back when I need any service on either of my vehicles.

Comment: I took my truck into Rapid less than a year ago already knowing she needed a tranny rebuild. They offered a fair price for rebuilding the existing tranny with a guarantee so we went ahead with it. The transmission worked great for some time and then developed shifting problems. I took it back into them and right away, while I waited, they began to investigate the problem. Long story short; the problem turned out to be chaffed/worn/broken wires in the wiring harness that controls the transmission. I know enough about vehicles to know that this issue probably wasnt caused by them rebuilding the tranny but rather just of old age and being worn. Nonetheless they fixed it for free, the same day, and they had to drop the tranny to do it! Great job on their part.

Comment: Sweet! now where to start! I read a lot of reviews prior to my decision to go with Rapid Transmission. For me it was the right choice...The front office was great with customer care and Nick was just all around very helpful. He went to the point and never sugar coated anything. Layed down the problem with explanation and the price. He gave me a great discount and OUTSTANDING quality of work. Being an engineer myself I knew that there are unforeseen problems that will happen as they tear apart my transmission, but Nick managed to keep honest on his price. Best thing about it is the warrantee, cant beat the time line and the coverage. Now im taking all my cars to Rapid just as a pre-maintenance, get it done so dont have to wait until it breaks! Highly recommended...Even if you dont have a problem stop by see Nick and the gang and think about getting your transmission serviced before you really need it.

A year ago Rapid T rebuilt my transmission that Poway Honda had said they rebuilt 8 months earlier - but turned out Honda dealer didnt do what they said and wouldnt cover it... came back again 1 year later to Rapid T with problems again and they took care of it completely putting me in right away and getting it back rebuilt again in couple days. They stand by the work they do. Thanks.

Comment: My experience with Rapid Transmission was not good. They were friendly and knowledgeable enough initially but then offered me no customer service after handing over my vehicle and coughing up $3k for them to repair my transmission. I had to call every day to find the status from Nick. Pretty sure that dude’s only job is to manage the clientele – how do you forget to do the ONE THING you’re supposed to? Wait, it gets better. Conveniently enough, Nick was willing to give me $300 in discounts due to the higher than estimated bill which I really appreciated (never mind they quoted me around $1200 to $1500). After that, I was almost satisfied with the discount UNTIL I went in to pick up my car where he sprung $300 in extra parts they broke trying to get my transmission out. Suspicious? Yea, I thought so too. How does your so-called “discount” miraculously equal the spare parts you say you broke? C’MON man. So after I take my car back and pay the hefty bill I come back after 500 miles for my “courtesy” check-up in which they tell me all is good to go and no leaks. At the time I complained of compression in the transmission because shifting seemed slow but they said they didn’t think anything was wrong. So, I take my baby home to find that the transmission pan is leaking. I immediately bring it back in and question how they thought it wasn’t leaking. So they kept it for a day and had to practically beg for them to pick up the rental charges for a loaner – good customer service, eh? Pretty much got nowhere with the guys in the shop as they tried to feed me some bull about the leak. I ultimately found out they put the WRONG PART on my transmission!!! SERIOUSLY?! The WRONG PART?!?! Let’s just say that I’m happy they’re liable for the warranty on it but I’m VERY SKEPTICAL OF THE CALIBER OF TECHNICIANS WORKING THERE.

Comment: Dont be fooled by the Wolf in sheep clothing! Oh yeah everyone seems friendly and accommodating that is until there is a problem with their service, then you are given the back seat or better yet the incompetent tech to work on your vehicle. My opinion is they have a bunch of used car salesman working the desk and a bunch of fly by night mechanics in the shop. Here is my reason for this. I brought my truck in for just a routine transmission maintenance service. I made an appointment but I dont believe anyone really set up the time. Anyways they changed the fluid, filter, etc. Things seem ok but the next morning there are oil spots on my expensive paver stone driveway, in various locations under the transmission. So I call and set another appointment which is pretty useless because they dont seem to know how to set appointments for this type of servicing. But they change out the gasket which was leaking and send me on my way. This time the service was better than before, now it was only leaking fluid from one corner of the pan! I remind you again that this is just a normal maintenance service. So I set another appointment for them to evaluate where the leak is coming from because they are to busy to service it at the time and I would have to leave it overnight. They check it and find the place on the pan it is leaking from and try to tighten it down and telling me if it still leaks bring it in. Of course it still leaks, so once again I try to set an appointment for 3:30 (so Im not without a vehicle for the next day) and the Manager Nick tells me to bring it in at 3pm instead because he doesnt think 3:30 to 5pm will give them enough time to service it. I bring my truck in around 2:40 for my supposed 3pm appointment and to make a long story a little shorter I go for a walk and come back at 3:40 and my truck is exactly where I had left it. So I politely ask them, Did I not have a 3:00 appointment? The clerk is trying to explain to me the situation to the best of his abilities, then Nick comes out of the office like an immature child (not the Better Business Professional they are suppose to be) and says, he told me it would be ready by 5pm and if I dont like it get my keys and go somewhere else! Well from what I recalled during my phone conversation he said if I got it there by 3:30 he couldnt assure me that they would have time to service it and it may have to stay there. So now the clerk is trying to make things right but I over hear the manger Nick yelling like a baby that I shouldnt be able to dictate the flow of the work and he doesnt care, etc. etc. Needless to say I took my keys and left. I called asking for a refund so I could do what they told me to do and take my truck somewhere else, and they said they would call me back and help me out. No call back, I may have to take them to small claims for the refund and driveway damage. To top it off my truck is still leaking from their service. If you do business with these guys, dont fool yourself thinking your dealing with competent professionals. They cant even do a simple Transmission Maintenance Service correctly.

Comment: My transmission went out and ended up brining my car here, they claimed I needed a completely new transmission so I went ahead and paid for it. 8 months later my transmission blew out, so i took it back and they claimed I needed a new transmission again. I was highly doubtful so I ended up towing it to another transmission shop. All i needed was an $8 sensor. Great business ethics, if you like getting robbed!
