This is one of the best places to get old fashioned candy. The price per pound is excellent and the selection is unmatched. I recently got a dozen different candies and they can all be mixed in one bag. Chick-o-sticks, root beer barrels, Taffy and so much more. If youre in the area, stop by. (They also have a lot of antiques, clothes and jewelery, but lets be honest: the candy is where its at.)
Been coming to Raus for 50 years now and I always feel like Im 5 again lost in the candy store! However there is a whole lot more than candy going on inside this place! Upstairs, downstairs, middle flloor...it is definitely the place to browse for high quality finds such as doilies, handmade linens, tons of cookie cutter shapes, puzzles, and a metal sign section that is amazing. Clean, and always Frankenmuth friendly, Raus continues to impress.
This is a toy store, dont let the name fool you. The majority of toys are priced higher than what you find online, how are you on vacation and looking for gifts so it might be worth it. There are a lot of fun things in this toy store which children really enjoy so I just a great place to take kids to waste a few minutes, if you can get them out of the store.
Candy? Yes - just about any type you can dream of, in bulk or pre- packaged. Canned and pickled goods too. Check out the tin signs in the back for a cool or amusing display. Dont forget to head down to the lower level for doll house miniatures. Something for everyone with decent prices. A lot of history here!
I was refused service and told to leave the store because we did not have a mask. I will never shop this business again. FYI. Its not a law. This was the only store in Frankenmuth that I was asked to leave even though I am disabled. I told them and their response was We Dont Care.Horrible people, Horrible morals.
Yes, it is unusual, but at the same time, it successfully attracts curious patrons with classy interiors and a wide range of both old and new. I found a lot to love about Raus (dollhouse accessories, old signs, vintage memorabilia, etc.), and a little not to love (some old, worn out fixtures). However, this does not detract much from the overall experience. Customer service is down to earth and calm.
Candy by the pound - $6.49! Plus tea pots, jewelry, named jewelry and gifts, signs, movie and star themed gifts, wall art, garden art, small furniture, sports teams memorial gifts, glassware, dishware, dish towels, picture frames, figurines, tractor and farm gifts, clothing including clothing from Michigan and the lakes, plus too much more than I can mention here! Its a lot!
I love coming here everytime i come to Fraknemuth. There is such a variety of the old time candy. My hubby went nuts over all the different types of salt water taffy they have. I like looking at the different types of teas and novelty merchandise. They chnaged the downstairs level since the last time I was there. They now have a farmer room with international harvester and john deere merchandise, harly davidson and dog/cat stuff. Come and take a step back in time :)

2021-07-06This store has a very wide variety of items. When you first walk in, there are a ton of different kinds of candies. There are a lot of decorative signs. They have a nice selection of puzzles, including some by Ravensburger. They have plenty of clothes, including sweatshirts, socks, pajamas, and hats. And there is a downstairs, as well. There is a little sports shop down there with Michigan, State, Tigers, and Lions paraphernalia.

2020-12-06LOVED it! I had called last night (Sat, Dec 5) to inquire about tiny china animals. Susan was VERY helpful! So my husband and drove up this morning and purchased several replacement animals for the Santa, his sleigh, and four little elves, all handmade by my grandparents over 75 years ago! Today Mary helped me and I am SO delighted to report that I was able to replace every animal except a kitten. Thank you SO MUCH for employing WONDERFUL sales associates! I live in Clio, so I WILL be back! Merry Christmas!
