My husband and I decided to visit Rays Lighting Center after feeling overwhelmed with picking out all of the lights for our new home. We went without an appointment and were helped by Vanessa. We explained to her the basic look we were going for with our house. She was able to help us choose coordinating lights for the main parts of our house and give us direction for choosing the remaining lights. The Rays Lighting website and wish list option make it easy to save ideas and communicate with the sales person when a final decision is made.With Rays Lighting and Vanessa, picking out the light fixtures for our new home was one of the easiest parts of the new construction process!

I was pretty thrilled with them. I went in looking for ceiling fans. Luba was very patient and thorough with me. She spent quite a lot of time with me explaining things and looking up specifications for me. Then she quoted me an open ended discount price! They had a great selection too.

I really enjoyed working with the store and with Luba directly for an under and above kitchen cabinet lighting project. It was a pleasant experience. However, the store recommended an electrician that did not do good work. This electrician left 4 holes in my walls without indicating he was not going to fill the holes, I am still trying to get an invoice for the paid work, he did not re-install 2 cabinet trim pieces he took down, he did not have the correct parts and I had to make a special drive to the store to pick these up and then he expected me to pay for them and he installed electrical transformers under my dishwasher where there is visible, previous water damage. I had to pay for multiple hours of cleanup to restore this project to the quoted job. I realize the store is not responsible for his errors, however, they are responsible for who they recommend.

Luba provided outstanding customer service from beginning to end. We changed our minds 3 times on lighting for our kitchen and she was able to find everything we needed from the other locations. We highly recommend Ray Lighting for any lighting needs. She was very knowledgeable and provided excellent recommendations!

I went to this store 3 times I was never greeted, did I mention Im African American, they gad a chandelier I wanted so bad went in again the lady looked at me an put her head back down two caucasian women walked in she spoke to them and I looked at her like how dare you. I asked for some one directly by nsme an then only she began to respect me. I purchased a 1200 dollar light an I felt so foolish for patronizing a business that didnt even respect me but I have my beautiful chandelier.

I must warn you against using Rays Lighting in Novi.The prices are fair, but the service is really and truly terrible. We ordered a fixture and placed the deposit, and called back a few days later, only to find that the order was filed, but never actually ordered.In other words, they took our money and did not actually order the product. The employee we worked with claimed she forgot to make the order. She called back saying that instead of the 4-6 weeks of waiting promised, our fixture would not arrive until October!So beware if you are planning to use Rays, and check up on the status of your order frequently. We are having them return our money today.
