Comment: The Blue Cake vacation rental was perfect for our family gathering. I would recommend this property for multi generational family vacations, access to a safe, child friendly beach was perfect, along with a expecting mom. Keep in mind the 8 person occupancy, bunk beds are perfect for children. The home was stocked with beach toys as well as family games. I would love to stay here again. REMAX vacation coordinators were the best, their communicated with me very timely and made renting so easy. Nothing but great things to say! Thank you.

Comment: Renters beware. Even with a lease they will try to screw you. Always paid rent on time or early. Clean and quiet renter. Home owners didn’t agree with some part of my life style. Remax harassed me to leave. When I told them I would vacate when my lease was up… the home owners harassed me to the point Ventura Sheriffs told me to get a restraining order. Remax refused to repair or remedy any issues the last month on the lease(ants, electrica). Remax canceled my maintenance requests instead. I left the unit in better condition than was received, cause that’s how I roll.

My deceased wife and I always named our homes and she would have loved this beach property! I’ve moved back to The Mermaid Manor at Oxnard Shores, the beach property that my wife and I purchased together 15 years ago. The six months that I lived at 132 Santa Monica Ave. has given me a vacation from the grief of my wife Tammy’s passing from pancreatic cancer almost one year ago. Now that I’m back home I realize how much that I needed the time away as a part of the healing process. My son Grant, who played football his freshman year at SDSU, and is now a Business Finance Major, also enjoyed breaks, visits and time away for all of these same reasons related to the death of his Mother. Comment: Our entire family spent Thanksgiving week at the house and it was perfect! Each family had their own, comfortable area for the night. Dishes and cooking supplies were well stocked. The appliances and furnishings were top quality. You cannot beat the ocean front location. We all spent many hours on the beach, kids and adults. Management was very responsive when we couldnt locate kitchen towels or the vacuum. The only issue we had was sketchy cell service inside the house and wifi that only worked in the living room. But we were on the beach! For a week with all of our family. It truly was the perfect place for us to gather for an unforgettable vacation. We wouldnt hesitate to stay again. A beautiful home!

Comment: It gives me a bit of chills to leave this review because number one from the moment I walked into the house. I had this prickly feeling in my back, because that particular house meant so much to myself and my children we all attended Hollywood-beach school and my husband rest in peace, who passed away was able to enjoy those moments with us and meeting Laura she was very thorough and did a walk-through and she had mentioned a few things about taking care of a beach house and inside I laughed because I grew up on Silverstein beach. I know all about the beach living and I wasn’t gonna tell her that because she was doing an extremely wonderful job at. Giving me my space to view the house and have my moments and then after we talked, she was just so calming and went over about the Dawn dish soap in the sand in the windows and I just thought it was so adorable and then the application process starts. And I start to feel nervous because I can’t get more honest and more personal about my life and my son or my sister and I just felt like it wasn’t enough and dealing with the application process. There is a gentleman who I thought was a robot lol I decided to send him a message and give him a little background on myself, and what that house would mean to me, and why we would respect it and take care of it, as if it was our own, And, he forwarded that and a few extra things were asked for which totally understandable and then he blew my mind when he said I just want to thank you because of what you’ve done and provided and helped me help you to get you in this house and I just thought that was just so nice and so unselfish to give me the credit for the job he’s doing I haven’t had a chance to meet anybody else in the office but if these two people speak for the rest of the office, I am blessed and thankful to have the opportunity to be with Remax as a renter and hopefully eventually buy with Remax so thank you thank you for giving me and my family this opportunity I don’t think anybody will ever understand the meaning it means to us personally But it means the world to us to have the support of your company so thank you

Comment: 3425 Ocean Drive in Oxnard is right on what we consider the best part of Hollywood Beach. The 3 story house has a beautiful layout, is clean, and well furnished. There was a functional elevator and a spacious industrial quality kitchen. We loved taking walks on the beach, which was quite secluded and sparsely populated. If you can afford it, we definitely recommend staying in this Tuscan beach home.

House stayed nice and cool with open windows and fans if needed. A lot of stairs to go up and down daily because of tri level so not the best for people or dogs with impaired movement. Everything you need is within in walking or bike distance. Truly a place to relax, unplug, and unwind with plenty to keep kids busy too so you can do just that.

Comment: I cannot express enough the appreciation from Lisa at GCR, and her team. I moved into a property managed by them and have always been, by the HOA guidelines, eligible for a parking permit (to park one vehicle outside of my garage within the community). However, the HOA denied me over and over again, ignored correspondence, never provided guidance on how to correct something that didnt need to be corrected so my process was ongoing. I moved in April 15th, 2022 and have just now received my very first parking permit in April of 2023 (YES, OVER A YEAR LATER). Lisa and all of GCR exhausted an absolute disgusting amount of hours emailing, calling and following up with the HOA, whose point of contact for the parking committee is ever changing. With that said, Lisa never gave up and always remained polite, optimistic and eager to assist. Her tenacious dedication is THE SOLE factor that I have not moved out of this property and why her client remains to have a great tenant that cares for, pays early each month and treats the property as if it were my own. Whatever GCR is paying Lisa, it is hands down not enough. Thank you Lisa and to all of Gold Coast RE/MAX!

Comment: The realtor that was doing a showing for the rental property i wanted to look at never responded to my text when I let her know I was on my way @ 2:58 pm and she never told me she was leaving the property, when I had texted her @ 3:17pm I was 5 mins away. We arrive still with no responses to my texts. I didnt see anyone so I walked to the front door, the screen door was unlocked so I thought maybe she was inside but the front door was locked. I walked back to my car took the phone from my child (watching disney) called them at 3:26pm to find out what happened and let the office know she never responded weather she had gotten my messages or not. They respond she is their only showing agent...please hold so we can see what happen... came back from the hold she was already showing another place. Even with all my texts and calls explain i have . Car at the moment and 3 kids husband is home at 3 we are gonna try and be there. yet they couldnt work with our times available even with a rescheduled. We probably would have rented the place but just want to make sure it would fit what we need before applying, but they couldnt work with us by 30 mins and we showed up at 3:20, we were right out front between the showing appointment times originally was told 3pm qnd she would leave qt 330 then she text me 320 the day of.. super disappointing and as we drove up nobody was driving away. Yes I was in contact threw out the day and was doing my best to be on time tho they were aware of my time and availability but did not bend at all they dont do 330 appointments is their response. Unless you put application in and get approved. Yet who in middle class has extra money to apply places they havent seen And may not want. yet I did think I would have like this place but to have only 1 showing agent who doesnt responded to a text on my way like okay I am here or anything and then to not wait a couple minutes... I honestly probably only need 5 minutes if that to look at the property. They are willing to reschedule at the same time yet it will be the same dilemma due to my husband not getting home til 3 super disappointing... I wonder how the home owner would have handled this.

Comment: I rented a property managed by the Remax Gold Coast team for a year. We had a smooth process from the beginning, signing our lease and moving in. Throughout our time with them, we had several maintenance issues which were resolved promptly and professionally. Our move out process was non-standard, and the support we received from the Remax team was amazing. I am grateful for their entire office and how they support tenants. Unfortunately while we looked for our next place, we did have some hiccups with their applications department for new apartments and unfortunately had to move into an apartment with a different management company. I cannot be more thankful for Lisas dedication to her work, and I tell you getting an apartment from the other half of the country is no simple undertaking, qualification process requires documents of all sorts, payments, inspection, account set up, unit tour, final inspection, all done extremely well. Remax Gold Coast Property is a good choice if you worrying about moving from one side of the country to the other. I would like to mention that Ms. Hilary (last name not known), another agent from Remax Gold Coast Property, has also impressed me when she transferred the unit (apartment) to me in the last steps of the process. She was on site within half an hour from request (unplanned due to lots of moving parts), has helped me with the entire inspection process, completed the forms for me, uploaded all images to my account including the inspection docs I just signed less than two hours ago for me to download. Highly recommend!!!

Comment: My family has been renting a few properties for more than 30 years. They’re single unit family homes and we’ve always managed them ourselves. Over the year’s management has grown increasingly complicated. Tennant requests and legal formalities have become a growing concern. With our latest property we elected to sign on with Remax Gold Coast Properties. We have been using their services since 2019. The first tenants signed a one-year lease, but in March they had to break the lease and move out of state. Within one week the property had new tenants. We have had little to no worries with Remax managing. Here are a few key points that may help you decide whether to use their service. First of all when we were looking for an investment property, almost every agent of every property we looked at assumed we were going to use the services of Remax. It was very clear that Remax was the dominant management company in the area. We did visit one of the competing companies in the area but clearly Remax had a much larger workforce. As we began to work with Remax it became clear that this large workforce meant that someone was dedicated and specialized to different tasks or departments. Kristina always oversaw every aspect of the property so we always knew there was someone in charge. Andrea was always welcoming any procedural question, Hilary kept us in the loop of anything that needed attention whether it was a leaky faucet or a garage door failing to open. Allie and Andee have always returned calls within the hour, Lee has always welcomed any accounting question. Also we like is that they have a handyman to go immediately out and take care of the easy fix, or size up bigger concerns. When bigger concerns come up. I have always received a call prior to any action taken. Each time I’ve tried to get my own estimates for any work needed, the Remax estimates have always been comparable. So far our experience with the whole team has been very professional courteous and overall we’re very please with their service.

Comment: I rented two properties managed by Kristina and her staff. One unit for over two years and one unit for one month. We always had our needs met, maintenance issues were always responded to immediately or within reason, and move in, annual, and move out inspections were fair and handles with the utmost professionalism.When dire circumstances caused me to have to move out of the second unit within a month of signing the lease, Kristina and Hilary helped me find a replacement tenant, which made me feel like a valued person and not just another tenant paying rent every month.Different folks will have different experiences with any type of interaction. It has been my experience that positivity and optimism helps to set a great tone when engaging in business relations with others.My experience with the property management company and its employees was a great experience.
