Comment: Today is April 13th 2024 the day of our move in. I must say Im truly happy to be amongst the residents of renaissance uptown orange. Id like to acknowledge Jody, Donald and Chris. Jody, what fabulous individual to speak with. I was on the phone with her during my self tour. She made me feel like this was the right spot for me. Donald was the individual who was in communications. Donald was always informative and prompt. He was always nice and very welcoming. Chris was also apart of keeping us up to date. These 3 people were FABOLOUS in making our transition a WARM AND WELCOMING one. Thank you to the Renaissance uptown orange team for EVERYTHING.

Comment: This place is terrible. It’s disgusting, there are stray cats with fleas that roam around the apartment complex all day. I’m allergic to cats! The gym is terrible and outdated. The place is way too small for the price. The parking is ridiculous. We have to park minutes walking from our place. The stalls are too close to each other so if you have a child good luck getting the car seat out. There’s no space I have to pull my car out to put my child in the car. Huge inconvenience. No security. You can blare music as loud as you want all night. The trash is constantly backed up. I wouldn’t recommend this place at all

Comment: Based on my three-year experience living at the Renaissance, I can confirm its a fantastic location in Orange, with plenty to do nearby and convenient access to freeways. Overall, its a great place to live.The front office staff are very helpful and responsive, and the maintenance and cleaning teams, especially Maria and Alonzo, are top-notch. I cannot stress enough how much their hard work has positively impact in my experience living here. I also appreciate the smart home features and the easy-to-use app for service calls and rent payments.However, there are a couple of negatives. Theres no guest parking available, and the barbecues in the back where I live went from working poorly to not working at all. Despite significant rent increases each year, amenities havent been upgraded or properly maintained.Despite these issues, the apartments themselves are very nice, and Ive enjoyed living here. While I would recommend it, addressing the lack of guest parking (no clue how that would even be possible) and ensuring functional amenities, especially the barbecues, would make it even better.

Comment: WARNING: If you dont want to waste hundreds of dollars and have your car towed then read this...Under no circumstances should you park in any reserved space or red zone, even for a brief visit such as a 5-minute preview of a unit.Parking availability is extremely limited.All guest spots, including those specifically allocated for property tours, appear to be occupied for long periods of time.Considering this, I opted to park in front of the unit temporarily, assuming a quick in-and-out visit.However...I found my vehicle towed after less than 6 minutes inside the unit!(I have time stamps of the first picture taken inside the unit and the subsequent image showing the absence of the car).To avoid the risk of being towed, don’t park in red zones or any areas not explicitly designated for guests.(Which are extremely limited 100+ resident unit complex!)Its unclear whether the complex management or another tenant notified the towing company.Nevertheless, this incident sheds light on the kind of individuals residing in or managing this complex.The question then becomes: Who would want to live among such individuals anyway?

Comment: Ive been living at Renaissance for 7 months now. The facilities are well-kept besides the occasional overflowed trash rooms. Porch pirates are definitely a thing, they dont care if you have a Ring camera AT ALL. I wish management would invest in an Amazon locker. Maintenance does take a while to fix our requests sometimes (we havent had a working kitchen sink for 12 days now). Parking can be a hassle but if your guests dont mind parking down the street by the 7-11 then its no biggie. My biggest issue is the amount of Airbnbs at this place. Im constantly seeing strangers walk by my door with suitcases. I know of two operating near my apt alone. Doesnt make me feel safe knowing random people are always coming & going.

Comment: UPDATE ON 2/27/24(side note, my husband and I have had our work truck broken into 3 times since we have lived here-NO BUENO- my 5 STAR REVIEW IS ONLY REFERRING TO EMPLOYEES, not our living here).Would like to add MIRNA I believe she works housekeeping. I have seen her picking up the poop that dog owners unfortunately leave behind and seemingly on purpose. We have doggy bags and trash cans all throughout the property and sometimes som dog owners dont care and leave their animals feces thinking its only the housekeeping job! incredible and so unfortunate. As a dog owner myself, IT IS MY RESPONSIBILITY to clean up after my dog NOT the housekeeping! They already have enough on their on plate. Mirna is an amazing housekeeper and has always been very kind to us.Also, for Alonzo and Maria, both amazing employees that work here and that we interact continually.MY 5 STAR REVIEW ARE FOR THE 2 FOLLOWING INDIVIDUALS:1-ALONZO (maintenance)2-MARIA (housekeeping)Both if these individuals have made our stay here absolutely amazing. Alonzo, every single we have had a work order and hes been our technician, not only is he amazing with our fur baby lol our dog, he is also very kind and patient with us and always helpful in answering any of our questions. Comment: Glad to be here at my new home! Use to live at The George and the only thing over there that made it worth a while was the other tenants. Renaissance is really low key, quiet and pretty chill. Heads up tho. THERE IS NO GUEST PARKING. Like none. It is a fight and that’s one thing new people coming should know. And like TONS of Airbnb. I don’t blame the management for that because people will always break rules to do what they want and it’s almost near impossible for the guys in the front to catch them ALL. But there is a lot that i can see lol. But besides the parking and random cars parking in other apartment numbers (we all have designated parking so idc) i don’t mind it. It is a bit older but they are going through upgrades rn. (Which is annoying in the morning but i just go to work) And despite all I’ve read about the management team, I personally really like them. I’m straight to the point and very direct so I don’t want someone beating around the bush. Donald and Chris has always been so helpful and pretty chill. I know they get hecka backed up but for the most part, they follow up. I love that they aren’t about the hype or try to be unnaturally nice. Most people might see it as cold, but I like that they don’t waste time. Gotta bring them some yummy snacks one day! XD Either way. Rent is pretty ok compared to The George so I am happy esp abut the location. Ive lived in another essex building before and i cant say that they are the best. Just the people in office thats holding their weight. Alrhough we SHOULD have the business center back and get better amenities. Least get a light for hot tub, sheesh.

Comment: A special shout out to Danny (maintenance supervisor) for always being there to solve any maintenance concerns of mine quickly and hassle free. I was having an issue with a difficult to solve slow refrigerant leak in my HVAC last year and Danny stepped up and helped me resolve it by getting a new HVAC system installed. Danny helped me make the case to management and got it pushed through for me. I couldnt be happier with the new system and it has been operating flawlessly. Danny is also very inventive, coming up with on the spot solutions for difficult to solve problems -- just a few days ago when a specific part was unavailable he cleverly designed a solution for it to get me through the day while we waited on formal repairs to be completed. Im confident that Danny can handle just about any maintenance related concern, and impressed by his ability to handle the incredibly overbearing workload at Renaissance.

Comment: The worst place I have ever rented is here, it is so dirty and ruined that even when you come home from the parking lot, your shoe prints blacken the floor in the house, they are scammers and they only charge rent for any facilities that have been never work, the pool is never usable, always or Is it broken or is it so dirty that you dont dare to use it, postal packages are stolen from the door and no one is responsible, the neighbor hits your car while parking and runs away and no one is responsible, they sent me a new contract price. With a price increase of 300 dollars, while they put an availablle same apartment on their website with a price lower than the price I rented last yearI will never recommend this place to anyone

I had two different technicians check out our place and let us know if potential charges. They said our carpet was in good condition, next thing you know I’m charged $600 for the carpet. I took photos and everything, not sure what they are charging me for. They said they uploaded photos to the portal, I checked nothing. I had my sister and other roommate check, nothing. On top of that, I sent them photos of the entire place cause we spent over 10 hrs cleaning. I even schedule a phone call with them which was confirmed for today and no one called me. This has become ridiculous!

Maintenance was the only good thing about this place and now they are changing that all up. Comment: Renaissance is a laughable name for this place; its more like The Dark Ages.When we moved here in Dec. 2020 an independent contractor evaluated the filthy and unacceptable condition of our ducts and advised management to replace the entire HVAC system. They didnt listen and when it broke this past month leaving us without air conditioning during a heat wave, nobody from the front team bothered to reach out even once to apologize, update us with a timeline of repairs, or offer any kind of resolution for the thousands of dollars we had to spend booking a last minute hotel during peak Disney season so that our toddler could live in safe and comfortable conditions.It took them over a week to fix the HVAC system, during which we continuously had to initiate communication with them only to be met with dismissive, rude, and inaccurate responses. They brought a portable unit that was not specd for our apartment which flipped the breaker multiple times leaving us without electricity, to which Devyn the new maintenance manager stated in writing that we were advised not to run the system, which never happened.Then the contractor they hired left our apartment unattended and unlocked for FOUR hours in a community with rampant theft, and we were told that they needed to get something last minute in their rush to complete the order. This was a lie, as we have records on the smartrent app that residents here are forced to use showing the time that the unit was unlocked by staff.The one good thing about this community is the maintenance staff. Jonathan, Alonzo, and Miguel in particular are always professional, prompt, and kind. Unfortunately Essex recently updated their maintenance request system and it is now extremely inefficient, much like their management style. A few months ago when our garbage disposal broke with water spilling onto the floor no one showed up for two days.Management is well trained in diverting responsibility and posturing in online reviews for prospective tenants. Basic customer service and common courtesy would suggest that residents should not have to reach out to you to rectify a situation that you messed up, Catherine. But thats how they roll. Theyre a multibillion dollar corporate housing company that has taken over $60,000 from us during our stay here, and they also want us to foot the bill for their mismanagement, greed, and incompetence - that, or have our three year old living in 90+ degree conditions for a week. I dont know about you, but to me that doesnt sound like acceptable service for an apartment that costs $2,600+ US dollars per month to live in.On top of that, the complex is appallingly filthy, with dog urine and feces in the hallways, heavy wall panels coming loose in the elevators posing a safety threat, a literal rat infestation, and a dozen or so units being used as short-term Airbnb rentals (go look up the address on airbnb), so there is a constant stream of rowdy people using up the amenities and driving recklessly through the parking structure. Theft is out of control. We have seen at least 10 cars with their tires stolen on cinderblocks, my husbands motorcycle was stolen out of our parking spot, packages are stolen constantly and on top of that, according to numerous other reviewers, management will spend an uncharacteristic amount of effort and expedience on gauging tenants on their way out with outrageous move-out fees, so we have that to look forward to.Its unfortunate that Essex resorts to deceitful tactics like incentivizing prospective tenants to write 5-star reviews in order to bring up their Yelp rating and bury the experiences of existing residents, but that should tell anyone looking to move here about their lack of ethics. PLEASE save yourself the trouble and look for somewhere else to live.

Otherwise this place is unbelievably terrible, the management team is rude, and we were told that the community is not responsible to immediately repair AC when our AC went out in 95 degree weather last week in a $3000 a month apartment. The garage is filthy, there is dog urine and feces everywhere, including the elevators on a regular basis. Ask around before signing a lease here, there are numerous Air BnBs which the management team repeatedly denies, and its sucks when so many people are treating your home like a hotel.UPDATE – on the 7th day our air conditioner was repaired, however it should be noted that not one time over the past week did the community relations manager reach out to us. The community response below is clearly posturing for the public. In fact, when we moved in to the unit in December 2020, there were several problems with the unit and at that time the community relations manager expected my family and 6 month old daughter (at that time) to stand outside in 55 degree weather while the maintenance team went inside. Yesterday when I went home to check on the AC Contractor, I found my Unit Unlocked and no one inside for nearly 20 minutes. I was extremely upset and again the management team refused to meet with me and told maintenance team I was acting irrational. I guess I should have not been upset my apartment was left unlocked and unattended, which is difficult given my motorcycle was stolen from my parking space October 2021. It should also be noted that I am out of pocket thousands of dollars putting my family in Embassy Suites for a week, and the community has refused to discuss any credit or compensation for this cost to my family.

Comment: Jonathan on the maintenance team is FANTASTIC - he gets 5 stars.However, Essex has incorporated a new maintenance system that is terrible which is why my overall rating is 3 stars (their recent decision on incorporating a new maintenance system deserves 0 stars). Prior to the new system we were very content here - issues would be fixed within 24 hours and we knew the team and who was coming into our apartment. Now, I’m lucky if I know who is coming in, I don’t know when something will be fixed, and it’s purely due to Essex’s new system. I can see maintenance are working hard, but Essex has made it difficult for their own employees to care for tenants. My thoughts of Essex has plummeted.

Comment: My family and I moved in to this complex in 2016. It was great at first but we’ve had so many issues for the past two years that we are planning on moving. Cars are stolen here every week, packages are stolen (twice for me and more for my neighbors), smoke everywhere, people do not follow the noise ordinance even after being confronted and having security called. Management is non existent. I believe they care more about short term leases since they’re making more money off of them than the actual residents.

Comment: Lived here for 2 years and it was good at first. Love the floorplan. Management + Maintenance teams are excellent. What pushed us to move out were the many little things that added up to a massively negative experience: extremely rude downstairs neighbor blasting their music during quiet hours (we tolerated it during the day to try and be reasonable on our end), and even after confronting them and calling courtesy patrol on them quite a few times, they persisted. Same neighbor smoked on their patio, stinking up our unit even with doors and windows closed. Found 1 cockroach in our unit and many others outside in the hallway and parking lot. The dumpster is always overflowing with trash and literally spilling out grossness all around it (probably helped in attracting roaches). Stolen Amazon packages. And of course, horrible parking. Values differ, and for us, we didnt think it was worth the price to live with these inconveniences, so we took our leave.

Comment: I have lived here for about 4 years. In the beginning it was great to live here with not problems. Within the past couple of years we have had too many cars tires stolen and car break in. To me it doesnt feel safe anymore. They should hire a security person to roam the parking structure for this. We have also had several neighbors having there base music too loud and not having any concerderation for the other neighbors around them. We had people arguing and slamming car doors, gates making it hard for some of us to sleep well. The office doesnt really help much in this situation.

Comment: I loved this place when Channing and Sherri were part of the leasing office. I felt like THINGS got addressed immediately. How I miss them. By the way the maintenance team is the BEST! They get their stuff done.Anyway, my story begins this morning, rent day, the dumb RentCafe app charged me twice. When you pay your rent through the app, almost immediately you get a confirmation. So after not seeing the confirmation, I processed the payment again, still no confirmation or the payment being reflected on the open balance, the payment did not even show being taken off my bank account or in the process of being taken out. 10 minutes later, BAM, two charges. I do admit it was my fault for not thinking it through, but you would think that an app designed to take payments can handle the traffic of multiple users submitting payments on the same day.So I called the leasing office, come to find out, THEY CANT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT BECAUSE IT IS A 3rd PARTY MERCHANT. From the 3-4 years I have lived at this property and since Channing left, it seems that that it is issue, THEY (the leasing office) literally cant do anything about anything . I know I am not the only one whos had this kind of issue . They suggested I called my bank, my bank said contact the merchant. So I emailed the leasing office...they couldnt even provide me with a phone number for me contact the 3rd party merchant, I had to do a Google search for the company. Had it been Channing or Sherri, I know for a fact they would have gone above and beyond to help me. Over all the quality of leasing office vs. resident relationship has gone down the tube.This is the last year staying at this property. Not because of this incident, but this will add to the other factors considered.

Comment: I have all but 2 complaints about the apartment besides the Loud neighbors sometimes. no complaints they make everything easy and accessible, from getting car wash, dog wash carpet cleaning to painting they dont leave things damage for long one time I made a request they had to wait for me they was so fast I was literally so shocked they even come at 3am !! in the morning they upkeep the building very nicely mop the floors about 2 -3 times a week you always see someone cleaning the property they are not crazy with lawn mowing but yet the grass is always nice which was huge plus for me, Jody and sherry are always fast to respond with any problems the maintenance crew deserve so much props they are always nice and respectful My two complaints are #1 the car break-in I even got my groceries stolen .. yes that bad #2 the security rarely they answer the phone or they will call you back hours later. And I advocate for SPEEDBumps in the parking garage !! So many people in a rush in this narrow structure I almost got hit twice and I was a pedestrian 🚶‍♀️which is in no way the apartment fault but its residence and outsider guest which if you drive up Chapman and just drive till you get to main you will see why. But overall my stay has been nice

Comment: First off I want to mention that I have lived here with my wife and son for about 5 years and we really enjoy it at this complex. But this review is on the maintenance manager and the maintenance crew. Right before the holidays started we were having a few issues with our refrigerator and stove. We voiced our concerns to the maintenance manager and let me tell you, he listened to everything we had to say and more, he was very patient with our concerns and quick to address them. He was friendly, personable and very professional. He treated us like we were family and we couldnt be more grateful. He went above and beyond our expectations. He replaced and fixed all of the appliances that were having issues and he did it without delay, simply amazing customer service! And I have to give credit to the maintenance crew also they do such a great job on getting it done, they are fast and efficient and also friendly. Thank you guys for all your services, its people like you that make this complex fill like home.

Ali in the leasing office was our leasing agent and he Did a fantastic job throughout the leasing process and took his time during our move in orientation, answering all of our questions. Comment: One of the biggest issues Ive had with apartments in the past is sub-par maintenance. I had an issue with my dishwasher here at Renaissance, maintenance was out to check it by the next day, and upon realizing it couldnt be fixed, had a replacement installed and running within two business days. Every person Ive interacted with has been awesome. Jody helped with the move in process and made it feel easier than any apartment before. The pool feels like a resort, there are top notch barbecues for us to use. I finally live in a place I want to invite my friends to. Great place, would definitely recommend it.

Comment: I lived in one of these units for fifteen months. The location and apartment themselves were great. However, there were many issues that caused me to not renew my contract. The parking situation is horrendous! During my fifteen months here I witnessed many people sleeping in their cars in order to get a parking spot.I was also unable to have family visit due to the lack of parking. My family members were towed twice. Once, my brother in law stopped for less than a minute to pick up his infant son and was towed immediately. The tow truck did not stop although they saw him running behind his car with his child. This caused me to call and complain to corporate about their rude towing company, to which corporate said they were unable to control this. A multilevel parking complex is available in order to rent an extra parking space, but it is ridiculous to pay a parking fee on top of the high rent tenants have to pay.I really do not recommend this apartment complex. Management does not care for their tenants and would rather witness their tenants suffer over parking, rather than finding a reasonable solution. If I could, I would give them zero stars.

Comment: This place is awful!!! Ive lived here for 14 months and I am so glad to be getting out!! First, they are not the best price. When there was a homeless community living alongside the complex the price was very cheap, but now theyve raised the price HIGHER than complexes right by Angel Stadium with way more amenities. This place is across from a Motel 6; theres no excuse for that. Next, this place is NOT safe or secure. The gates never work allowing anyone to come in. My uber and lyft drivers always manage to get behind the gates to pick me up, every time. And I have only seen security here a handful of times. Maintenance here is THE BIGGEST JOKE OF ALL TIME!!! They never clean the gym equipment (its really gross, I had to put in several maintenance requests over the course of 2 weeks just to get someone to put in more wipes to clean off the machines myself) and the trash rooms are always very smelly and overflowing (Ive lived in several large facilities and say with absolute assurance Renaissance is the worst about this). On top of that they took ONE MONTH to fix my ice machine and TWO WEEKS TO FIX MY BROKEN FREEZER! They literally admitted to me that they just forgot about my case because they were understaffed and had a mix up. Recently the wall in my hallway began to leak water from the ceiling. I called the emergency maintenance hotline and it took them 15 minutes just to get a technician on the phone; they wouldnt answer their calls. Even though its classified as an EMERGENCY they took about half an hour to respond. And once again, did not fix the problem. I woke up this morning to water leaking EVERYWHERE in my hallway. Once again, they told the hotline they wouldnt be able to come out for TWO HOURS because they dont have the right tools. I even informed the hotline that I believed it was affecting my electrical (all appliances in my bedroom have stopped working), andddd nothing. Worst of all is parking. There are never any guest spots so if you ever want to have people over, definitely dont live here. To even purchase a second spot we had to wait for about 3-4 months on a waiting list! The apartment itself (when it isnt leaking or broken) is nice, which is why I gave this mess 2 stars instead of 1 but there always seems to be a problem because it was built cheap. Anaheim/Orange is a great place to live, but there are far nicer complexes than Renaissance.

Comment: I will just list the occurrences that has happened in the past year to justify the 1 star:1. Cleanliness is a real issue: the parking structure and hall ways smell like pee and are filthy. Trash cans are always overflowing and there are bugs everywhere; wasps nests, cockroaches, and nats (they probably love the garbage smell)2. There was a major leak in our ceiling due to the air conditioning unit, the ceiling was soaked with water and the flooring was wet for over a week. They had to cut 2 huge holes in our roof and take out all the insolation for it to dry. They also had a loud dehumidifier on in our apartment 24 hrs a day for 4 weeks. Once it was repaired, another leak happened in another vent.3. Maintenance is so over worked, they could never come when they said they were going to come4. Our kitchen light went out and we had to live in the dark for 3 weeks until they figured out how to fix it5. FAUCETS IN KITCHEN AND BATHROOM LEAK BROWN WATER, this concern was brought up to multiple staff members and the manager and it was ignored. See attached video.6. Elevator was broken for at least a month and the front gates never open.7. They never did a final walk through before move out to allow us to fix before leaving - which we are ENTITLED TO BY LAW8. Used my rent money to pay for cleaning - which is AGAINST THE LAW

Comment: I revised my old review about the homeless, because they were removed.not much to say, its a apartment, just because the place its more expensive and looks nicer, doesnt means its perfect, its a apartment, it have problems just like every other apartments: pest, noise and other issues. have to say, its a lot better than those cheaper apartment. but again, its not perfect. i will update the review later.for those who never live in a cheap apartment, i want share some of my experience:Once i was live in a very cheap, old apartment in Fremont, north California. I can still remember the strong smell of curry&onion that in the apartment hallway, every single day. (guess they really like cook onion and curry). also some kind of sour or rotting-wood smells always in my living room. and not to mention countless pest and terrible stuffs.

Comment: If i could give this place zero stars i would. i am a military wife and moved in by myself while my husband was on deployment and while i was pregnant with my first child. they showed me a beautiful apartment with a courtyard view so i signed the lease. the day i moved in it was a totally different apartment with a view of a huge homeless encampent. some of which were directly outside my window. living there wasnt too bad except for the homeless problem. they had dogs outside my window that would bark loudly all night so that was awful. when i moved out i was forced to leave under military orders with my husband so we had to break the lease. it’s illegal to charge someone for breaking a lease when moved due to government orders yet 6 months later here i am getting notices in the mail that i owe them over $600!!! upon moving out they charged me for cleaning (even though a maitenence man told us we wouldnt be because our apartment was immaculate) and they kept my 1200 security deposit and i paid another full months rent. this place is a huge rip off. DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!! the managerial staff is horrible, the fire alarm will go off ALL the time, it’s dangerous because of all of the homeless people right outside who are on drugs and beat their dogs, and they will lie to you and swindle you out of every dollar you have. a big F you to this awful place.

Comment: I have lived in the Renaissance for about 3 years since December 2014 and I was very happy with my stay here. I had to move cross country because of my job, and leaving this community was tough for me.The whole place is kept clean with maintanence staff being quick for every issue I had. I rarely needed to talk with management because I rarely had any problems. When I did talk with management, they have always been very fast and responsive.Improvements to the area are frequent and visible, such as improving parking organization, secure bike parking, and security upgrades. Management is also very proactive with communications, pushing out lots of email flyers of things happening in the community.However, the Renaissance is not perfect. It’s so unfortunate that there is such a large homeless problem sitting right outside the main gate, but we can’t blame the management for that. In fact, they have been very active in trying to resolve the problem from installing flood lights to organizing meetings with the mayor and city hall! The fire alarms are very sensitive and go off every month or two, but that doesn’t really bother me. Guest parking can be hit or miss, so avoid having lots of frequent guests as there is a good chance they will not be able to park. It’s still very expensive, but it’s location within walking distance of the block makes it worth it for me.Since I have been searching new apartments in Maryland, I have really been missing this place. I wish I could take my home with me and I highly recommend this community to anyone who is willing to pay the high cost of the rent.

Seems like they are 100 to 200 parking spots short. There is an alleged wait list to pay an extra $100 fee to secure a parking spot. Cigarette butts and dog waste can collect in certain spots. Maintenance was helpful. Ambulance and fire engine noises from UCI medical center are audible.

Comment: I just renewed my lease again.. I can honestly say Im extremely comfortable living here. Anytime there is an issue the staff consistently makes sure it gets taken care of. The staff at the office and the maintenance crew are all amazing people and have always made sure I was good. Guest parking does get filled quick but I do notice that theyve maximized the space and offer 50+ guest parking spots. If I have someone coming over I always make sure I try to find parking then just move it when my guest arrives. Saves the hassle. Needless to say a perfect 5 stars for how accommodating the staff is and also love my apartment and all the amenities that are offered by this complex.

We live here, have 2 vehicles and one dedicated spot (they promised us a second before we moved in), there are about 15 guest spots total in this huge complex and most people just leave their other cars in them so theyre hardly ever available. Today we drove around for an hour looking for a spot before stopping in the office and the woman says I dont know, maybe go across the street and ask Dennys if you can park there... REALLY? Not happy about that.Oh and the garage with all the designated spots is about 60% empty all the time. But they police it.Next. The model you preview is not what youll get. We moved in to a dented fridge, a leaky kitchen sink, a burner that didnt work, a tub faucet that is loose and drips all the time, a broken soap dispenser on the kitchen sink, and carpets and floors thAt hadnt been cleaned very well.For the price, not worth it all. Dont let the fancy pool, gym and foliage fool you..Location is good. Thats about all.

Comment: I am surprised for all the bad reviews here, I wish I had read them before I moved in. my story starts one year ago, when I was sold the idea that I was moving to a LUXURY apt place, BS, I started smelling people smoking, some people like to party all night long and they dont give a dime if you want to go to sleep or not, there is no security here, I have seen more police at this place than when I recently moved to Vegas and was living in downtown. The pool in the back is not heated, big fat lie, and the back GYM closes at 10 pm and opens at 8, Ok if I get to work at 10, they renovated the main GYM and they made it worst, they attached the tv to the wall, so too bad if you want to watch something else.At Renaissance, they never told me, that the parking spaces were RESERVED, they gave me a sticker and I thought it was OK to park close to my unit but I was so WRONG, I got towed away and that did cost me 330. one of the lease specialist called me right after my car was gone, very fishy- There is no parking here, my sister in law was visiting for summer and I just felt so bad, she had to walk from the top of the parking structure (about 4 floors), and then to the last building in the back every night for 2 months with her 2 kids. I requested an additional parking space and until the date I moved out I didnt get it.I just got the security deposit check back, guess what? I had to pay for painting and cleaning, write down how much is the deposit since I remember I paid 475 plus 70 bucks for the keys and 25 for the remotes, they claim the deposit it is only 400, maybe today, not a year ago. 130 that is the amount of the refund, lol.Maybe some people like to live under some circumstances, not me, this is the worst place I have lived in my whole life, and I have been in ugly places, ATF is going to have this place under the loop very soon, that is my feeling, look for better choices.

Comment: In my experience, this place is better than Gateway because its smaller. I like that its walking distance to Angel Stadium (for day games, go up Rampart, I wouldnt walk at night), and close to Disneyland, the Orange Circle, and two good hospitals. The landscaping and pool areas are pretty. And since Im a student they let me sign a 10-month lease, which is nice. The only noise I hear is from the pool and neighbors children, which isnt THAT bad to be honest (maybe I just got lucky).What sucks: guest parking gets crowded nights/weekends, people are stupid and let their dogs poo in the hallway or will put their trash in the trash room but not down the chute (like SERIOUSLY people? So dumb, youre right there). The staff is nice but seems unorganized. And the gates are ALWAYS broken, I swear one of them has been propped open for a month straight now. They need more practical sliding gates that wont break. This is a shame because I chose this place thinking it would be really safe, but anybody can walk or drive right in. Ladies, unfortunately you should be careful because Ive seen some creepy looking dudes hanging around. Sometimes the security guard patrols the garage late at night, which is good, but other than that I dont feel very safe here. Biggest drawback.Also, they dont recycle (which is required by law in CA with the Renters Right to Recycle Act). Get it together, Renaissance!Overall its okay, but I dont think its worth the high price.

Comment: The place looks great on a visit or the model. NO GUEST PARKING. Parking is a real hassle here. The grounds are not kept very well cleaned for the most part. Maintenance is fast to come and fix things.Very loud, due to highway noise, and police sirens all the time. Walls are thin, dogs barking constantly.Fire alarms probably go off 2-3 times a month. Why not put a basic breakable cover over the fire alarms so nobody can pull them. Theres an Idea.Office staff very nice, and helpful.All in all I wish I read the reviews on this place before I moved in. I cannot wait to move out.
