Comment: My experience with RentReporters has been great! I signed up and chose the split payment option to get started. Love that there was an alternative. I was contacted right away from the company and agent assisting me. It was a smooth process sending my information to them for review and it was a quick process as well. They handle miscommunications well with fast resolutions. My rent had changed so the confusion with the payment history was quickly remedied. Then there were difficulties reaching my landlord, but RentReporters did their due diligence to keep reaching out to him until successful. They updated me throughout the process to keep me informed. Once reached, I was called immediately with the update and confirmation they were ready to report my rental payments to the credit bureaus.

Comment: After speaking with Rep about why I didn’t receive the 40 points initially I was under the impression that I would receive I chose to give this a 3 star in hopes that my future reporting will have a greater impact. However my credit reporting currently has gone up 7 points ONLY. The rep expressed that on average people receive up to 40 points increases, however they can’t explain why. I think this service of reporting is great for longevity purposes and I look forward to seeing my growth in 6months time. If my results are positive I’ll leave another review of 5 stars.

The customer service team is AWESOME and answered every concern/question before I signed up this week on 06/02/2024. My Address has been Verified. Now I’m waiting for RR to Confirm my Landlord Verification and Rent Verification. I informed my Landlord to be expecting a phone call which they are happy to support me in this matter. Comment: DO NOT WORK WITH RENT REPORTERS THEY ARE VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!! I contacted them via chat as they don’t let you talk on the phone with associates. The first person I spoke with via chat was SETH, I asked my question he didn’t know the answer, didn’t respond and he let me sit there for about 10 minutes then ended the chat! I then tried to contact them again and got someone named Charmanay who after I explained the situation and that I was disconnected on by her co-worker she did not offer me an apology and sent a copy paste standard response that had nothing to do with my original question. Once I asked again she stopped responding and sat there for about 10 minutes started typing and then I typed “hello” as I was getting no response she still didn’t reply for about 10 MORE minutes then when I started to type she ended the chat! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! See screenshots below!!!!!

Comment: I unfortunately need to update my review. I had previously reviewed Rent Reporters as a way for rental payments to make it to your credit report. However, after years of using them, it doesnt have any positive impact. It is a waste of money.My experience with them ended badly, with very poor customer service, as they ignored my request to update my property manager information and then, after six months of reporting nothing to any agency, refused to provide a credit or refund for the money I paid for them NOT to do what they were contracted to do.I would avoid this company. It wont make a difference to your credit situation and as another review has stated: Customer Service is everything.

Comment: Excellent experience. This service increased 2 Bureaus for me over 21 points (twenty one points). Im excited to see how the potential new points are once they start reporting to Experian, which is major. Anyone improving their score knows that not one single trade line is designed to be the answer to everything. If you have more than 24 months to report on time payments. I would definitely use this service. If you think this trade line will magically give you an 800 credit score, then you really dont understand credit building, the scoring model or how points work, plus they all take time. If you have more than 24 months of on time payment history, especially at the same property, I would definitely recommend this service. Additionally, I would use this service, with one or two other credit builders, like Ava Finance, or pick ones you like, do that for at least 1 year minimum. Then decide what was working for you. There is no single trade line that will get you to an 800 credit score. Unbelievable some people blame this company for not reaching an 800 credit score. If you study FICO high achievers and all the factors to get an 800, it takes a large variety of factors to get that type of score. All new points and all positive history are what count over time. Finally everyone is in a different place age and financial situation. Just work on yours and over time most people should see things improve.

Like how one person says one thing and later someone tells me a completely different thing. Comment: Dont believe the hype. I paid my money and my credit score didnt change not 1 point. Im only 21 points from having an 800 credit score which has always been my goal so I decided to try Rent Reporters. Ive always had excellent credit never anything negative. They advertise that you will see a score increase in 10 days. After a month I contacted them and the response I received was gaslighting at its best without giving the truth. They even blamed the credit bureaus and the reasons made absolutely no sense. I screenshot the messages so they cant come on here denying things. Just be careful unless you have money to throw away because they dont do what they advertise.Follow-up: I was called and asked if I would take my review down and I honestly was going to edit it after speaking to representative who agree I was right and more information to potential customers should be disclosured before someone signs up, but I see where they have done a follow up to my initial review which makes it seem like my 1st review is wrong but yet they are still not telling potential clients the truth about how it works and the fact still stands that this has been a waste of money and Im waiting for my refund. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY!!! To do a follow-up saying such as they have futher lets me know that I should have read all the other reviews before putting my credit card on file.

Upon me trying to reach him back on the number he listed in the voicemail, I continued to be ignored and not get any reply back. Very glad I did not give these people my money or waste my time with it! Please people, be cautious!What a joke of a place! The website showed a promo code and the code did not work. So I contacted support. They told me the promo was over, mind you the website showed the promo code on its main page indicating the promo was so active. The customer service agent was rude and would not help. Do not give these people your money, what a scam! Its horrible that this place tells people they will help build their credit and you have to pay a ton of money for it, way to be a predator towards low income families. I explained I was being charged for a service I didn’t receive and they refused to reimburse me. Claimed they could not reach my landlord. So I guess they couldn’t reach the landlord for seven whole months. Bad business and this is not the way you treat customers. The lady said this is a subscription and the plan will keep charging customers no matter if the company reports to the credit bureaus or not. The customer must call in to cancel or they will continue to be charged.This is literally stealing.🤬

The TRUTH to my experience is below:Alicia IS the only professional & helpful rep that assited me with respect through my time using their services.Stephe was horrible and rude during chats.Not only did she take forever to submit documents BUT she continuously wasted time, making preventative errors.We as clients pay monthly so time is of the essense. For almost 2/3 weeks I waited for them to send a simple form to my landlord WITH the CORRECT INFO. I literally had to call every day until it was done. After finally getting her to do her job by sending it, the form had an old address on it - SMH! When I mentioned it to her in a chat, she laughed and spoke very rude and was completely unprofessional.I asked to speak to a supervisor over 10times as issue after issue occured and either my chat ended, or chat was turned off the moment I selected to chat with someone or was laughed at by Stephe (which management can check chat logs to see proof of such activity)I canceled the membership today and will never return

I followed all the steps required to set up my account and paid the service fee as requested. However, as time progressed, I noticed that there were no updates regarding my account. The purpose of Rent Reporters is to report your consistent rental payments to the three major bureaus. But to my dismay, I found out that it only reports to two of the agencies. Although this was a minor issue, it still seemed counterproductive to the purpose.I tried to communicate with their support team, constantly sending emails asking for updates. Unfortunately, their responses were not satisfactory, leaving me feeling unvalued as a customer. After dealing with this for some time, I finally couldnt take it anymore and requested a refund. To my surprise, the person responding to my request seemed sarcastic and unhelpful.I waited for over three days but did not receive the refund. Therefore, I lost my patience and immediately reported the charges to my bank. I felt that I didnt owe anything to a company that failed to deliver their service. Upon further research, I discovered that the same service could be provided directly by at least one of the bureaus. However, the customer service is exceptional and they made navigating the process better. After being able to submit my rental history my credit scoree went up by 38 points. There are other companies out there but they only report to one credit bureau. They report it to TWO. This was the deciding factor for me. Comment: Rent Reporters is phenomenal. First of all, they constantly offer coupon codes in their ads, and the codes make the sign up a great value. Signing up is easy. The verification process is also easy. I communicated with a representative via email, and she was prompt! I didn’t have to wait a day or more for a reply, she replied within hours.This is a great service to invest in for building credit. I’m ALWAYS going to pay rent. So, why not report it to the credit bureaus and get something more from the money spent on rent!? At $10 a month it’s as easy to afford as Netflix.My credit score is on a constant climb with the help of Rent Reporters. Comment: I got ZERO credit boost for reporting the rent history. Whats worse is that the communication between the account specialist and my leasing office was really ineffective and inefficient. It took almost a month for them to figure out the leasing office is not able to sign the agreement for reporting to Equifax. However, they did not want to issue a refund for me even though I requested it within 48 hours of my Equifax report was updated. They claimed that the refund can only be processed within 48 hours of the first report updated. This means that if you have multiple landlords, you are unlikely to get any refund when you are still waiting for all rent history gets reported.I had multiple conversations with different departments of them. Finally got them agree to refund me. But if I would choose again, I will not use this service. Rental Kharma provides 90 days for refund. I think that is more fair. So watch out if you are considering using this service.===================Update: 11/16/2019The company replied below. So wanted to give clarifications. Dont want to be framed as a unreasonable customer.1. The key issue of the ineffective communication is that they didnt notify me when they fail to get response from my leasing office. It turned out to be that I took multiple initiatives to ask them. They also didnt reply to my leasing office once they replied.During the whole process, the most communication emails are like automatically generated spam emails with the same/similar contents. This is not a good way of communication.2. The terms of use does not say that the first trade line to TransUnion is the 48 hour refund period basis. FAQ says the tradeline part, not the first ever. Again, if you have multiple landlords, you are likely to pass that 48 hour refund period. In FAQ, they also dont mention about the situation when the reporting failed.3. I am not someone who wants to take an advantage of a service without being willing to pay. I am totally fine if the refund is partial, or if they have been communicating clearly the refund period is such a short time. The only reason I came to leave a review is that I think the refund (which is part of the marketing strategy they have) is not working as they claimed to be.4. Also, given that the public reviews are mostly positive (which made me want to try), I think it is important to let people another perspective so that future people can make better choices. My friend who I recommended the service encountered exactly the same situation with zero boost and our credit profiles are very different. So it is likely many other people may not get boosts as well. This is what I wished to know when trying a service.5. If I got a refund without the battles I have been through, I would have kept recommending the service to others. In one of the conversations someone told me they work hard and those money are used to pay for their salaries. I do appreciate all the people who worked on this, and I treat this more like a policy, marketing strategy, and communication failure. I dont think that should be used as a reason why I should be responsible for the mistake the company made. I also work hard for my job, and so as many people in the world.6. I think some of the text on the agreement and the website are outdated since it looks like it was only for one report (they said they used to only work with TransUnion). Again, my case may be partially due to the confusion coming out from these outdated text.I hope the company will take my case as a true customers feedback than merely an unreasonable customer who made an emotional comment here (I spent so much time writing this comment and did a few analyses on the website). Comment: I did experience a slight increase when I started this service; however, when I first signed up, the agent that signed me up advised that in a few months your company will begin reporting to another agency as well and that has never been done. I found out about Rent Reporters and decided to give it a try. I already have to pay rent! It took 5minutes to sign up online, I paid the fee, and they called my landlord about two weeks later and verified my rent payments. Rent Reporters reported THE LAST TWO YEARS I have been paying rent to the credit bureau! It gave my score a 27 point boost! (Seriously). Not to mention, customer service literally answered every question I had and quickly at that. It was super easy and definitely worth it!

Comment: My credit took a nose dive in the past year due to numerous factors (hospital bills, credit cards, collections, etc) and Ive been trying to get it back into a manageable zone so that my family and I can live a little more comfortably. Last year at this time, my credit score was hovering around the 720-730 range, right now its at 615. Not terrible, but not great either. My girlfriend turned me on to RentReporters and in just the first couple of weeks Ive had an amazing experience! Before, my credit was losing roughly 2-3 points/week and without changing a thing, last week my credit score bumped by 2 points! Ive been told that this is just the beginning! Comment: I usually dont write reviews, but thought that this company warranted a little extra praise. I have been having issues getting myself offered a credit card without having to go through the secured credit card route. A friend recommended RentReporters and after a week or two after signing up, my past rent and future rent started influencing my credit score. Now, I have so many credit card offers to chose from. Thank you so much RentReporters! Great way to get introduced into the credit world!
