Great stay from start to finish. We were upgraded to a two bedroom based on my suite request. The room was clean and comfortable. Staff were great bringing us towels and taking out trash (which is all what we needed really). Brandon and Crystal were very kind and helpful in providing housekeeping service after hours and an upgrade for our next stay. Great stay again overall.
Looks new from the outside but poor quality. Hotel needs a makeover. The couch was more comfortable than the old foam mattress. Carpet is ripped. Breakfast was terrible - burnt scrambled eggs, cold cereal and muffins. Better quality and variety needed for a long stay hotel. Other hotels nearby that you can choose from.
What a pleasant stay! The hotel was excellent and very modern and up to date! Room was very clean and had all the appliances you could want. I am a runner and there is a an awesome trail right behind the hotel which was a definite plus! Pool was clean and hot tub was awesome. I would definitely stay here again when I am in Saginaw!
From check-in to checkout, every Staff was professional, very friendly, and always attentive. This Hotel is always clean and well kept on the outside and inside. Bed and pillows are very comfortable! The suites are beautiful, spacious, and have everything you need for a short or long stay. When I return to Saginaw, my reservation will be with the Residence Inn by Marriott Saginaw.
Positive: The continental breakfast was very good and had many choices for picky eaters, but the best id say is the quality of the room and everything in it. Negative: The mattress has seen better days but thats nothing new for hotels, nothing really to complain about.
We stayed for 2 nights. The rooms are absolutely perfect. We had a plenty of space and it worked out great. We had 2 issues, one- mold was starting to grow on the ceiling in the shower room. There was no fan so this will be a repetitive issue. Two - streaming was awful. Now I know that we dont go to hotels to watch TV but as you are settling down for the evening its nice to chill watching some movies. The HBO streaming didnt work at all and Showtime was sketchy with MANY interruptions. I told the maid as we left about the mold, and called the desk to inform them of the streaming service. I didnt address the streaming prior because at 10pm the staff was no longer available. So ideally they will fix this with feedback.
So disappointed in this hotel, for what we paid per night we had so many things wrong with the room, had to pay a $400 deposit because we lived in the same city and was never told when we booked the room, had I not had it then my daughters birthday would have been ruined. i was scared that i would be charged for the broken night stand, the smoke alarm falling from the ceiling, the TV wouldnt work when we 1st got in the room and took 3 half hours from someone to attend to us, there was dust everywhere. i was told we would have a call from the manager about the problems and no one contacted. i would never recommend this hotel to anyone for what we paid and the problems we had. eggs for breakfast was old and not good at all.
Hotel lobby was nice, very friendly staff. Unfortunately (even during a pandemic) our room was not the cleanest. My dog found a random sock under the bed right away (not ours) as well as some candy under the couch. There was some type of food splatter on the dish washer and visible kid finger prints on the refrigerator (we do not have children) as well as hard crusted food on plates in the cabinets. We had dogs so had to pay the $100 pet fee for cleaning, which is totally fine, but it would of been nice to receive a clean room as well.
I had a great stay. The staff was helpful and courteous. I had one noise complaint after listening for 2 hours to a loud room of guests above me in a weekend. I wouldn’t have called l, but then I started hearing thuds and rumbling sounds at midnight. The desk person quickly addressed the issue and it was quiet within 10 minutes. Everyone was friendly and helpful, but also allowed guests to have their privacy.
Total rip-off! The room smelled and was not clean! On top of that the bed was so old, uncomfortable, and the mattress had some discusting stains of blood all over the top. The compensation I was told I would receive was 30$ which I haven’t received. I can’t believe a Marriott Hotel charging these prices would have such low standards!
There was insufficient ventilation in the room, which gave it a dankness. Also, the lack of ventilation caused the orders from whatever may have been cooked to remain in the room for days. The sheets for the pull-out bed were just thrown inside, which made me wonder if they were clean or not. The sofa had round circular stains on it. The fitted sheet in the bedroom had lint balls on it which made it uncomfortable to sleep on. The top sheet was dingy and thin - both should have been thrown away. The covering on top of the comforter, which I assume is used to protect the comforter had black marks on it. The plastic shower curtain which is inside the tub was black on the bottom, and should have been replaced. The toilet backed up when flushed. We let it sit for a while and flushed it again, and it seemed to be okay. The same thing happened in two of my sisters rooms. One was bad enough to have to be moved to another room. The clerks at the front desk were pleasant except for one, who was really rude. When checking out, I was asked about my stay, and stated some of the issues above. The clerk told me that your hotel is due for an upgrade. I hope it happens soon.
The hotel was good in general. The staff were friendly. I did not like the breakfast. It was the same every day and you have to ask someone to get it for you which was not optimal. The coffee was warm only in the morning but the rest of the day was cold which is unfortunate.
The hotel over all was a nice place to stay. We were informed upon arrival that the pool and hot tub were closed. Very disappointed since it was a little get away for us. The food service was not back to normal and was very minimal. The hotel staff was friendly and the room was comfortable.
Nice property. If you get the accommodations you book! No complaints overall except being assigned an accessible room which made my trip uncomfortable. I understand these room types are offered, but if you don’t book or request them, you should be made aware that’s the only option.
(week of July 4th 2021) The breakfast was HORRIBLE. Boxed/bagged to-go, no where to sit (one table and outdoors), and no all-day coffee available. One lady (who was WONDERFUL) is tasked weekly to box eggs and sausage. Every. Single. Day. No meal menu rotations over our 5 nights (M-F). And there were no weeknight meals available - a hallmark of most Residence Inns. The Saginaw Marriott Residence Inn web page made no mention of this prior to our booking and staying - simply that some services may be reduced at this time.
The Residence Inn was fine and the Staff as usual. My only complaint was beyond the control of the Staff. It was Mothers Day Weekend and I believe there was a big soccer tournament in town. Many kids were running up and down and making noise. I can live with that. The problem was that 3 or 4 times kids were knocking on our door and running away. My wifes sister had COVID and my wife had been up for most of the week caring for her sister and her home along with comforting her 86 year old mother. She was exhausted and didnt need someone pounding on our door and disrupting our stay. Frankly it wasnt the staffs fault but it was the fault of the irresponsible parents. I Called the staff and they profusely apologized and said theyd monitor the cameras in the hall.
Great staff! Love the rooms with the full kitchen. The woman working breakfast on Sept. 2nd, 2019 made breakfast very enjoyable. She greeted each person, and made such everyone was satisfied. Very nice selection of food as well. Never had a more pleasant experience at a hotel
I would stay here again I felt very comfortable and it didnt matter where you were in the hotel, you could smell and see staff cleaning to ensure the safety of its guests. If you are leary of places to stay because of Covid19 I would highly recommend this hotel. Very clean and maintained
Stayed there this past weekend and was very impressed with the staff! The people at the front desk were absolutely amazing! Nick L. and Alyssa both went above and beyond what I have ever experienced at a hotel. Both deserve raises for their outstanding service! The hotel was clean and kept up very well by the housekeeping staff. The breakfast was a nice treat to wake up to. Even got to spend a little time at the outdoor fireplace which was beautiful. We only stayed two days but would not hesitate to stay weeks at this hotel. I have stayed at many hotels and have to say that this place is on the top of the list for guest treatment and service. Thank you for the wonderful stay! Only thing I could recommend would be a TV in the main lobby, maybe above the indoor fireplace. Great place to stay!
Pool was not open for the kids (not on website). Breakfast options were eggs or oatmeal. My 12 year old son wanted to use the fitness center since the pool was closed, but he couldn’t be alone and even though I’m his father he could not go in with me because it’s only one person as a time. We are in the same household, made absolutely no sense.
We travel for competitive swim meets with children all the time and this was by far our best overall hotel stay experience. The staff were friendly and genuinely helpful. It was clean, everything works, and well built so quiet. We highly recommend this hotel as it also added to our overall happiness as a family. It can be tough managing swimmers and naps and good meals and the hotel matters! Thank you for running such a good hotel.
Attended our nieces sweet 16th and didnt want to drive 2 hours back home at midnight. The rate was great. The setup of the king suite was perfect. I loved there was a door to seperate the living room from the bathroom even though the bathroom had its own door. 2 TVs so the kids had their own. The setup provided great privacy. Spacious enough for the 4 of us. The beds slept good and everything was clean Overall great stay.
Lots of families here permanently or long term so the Hotel gets a bit noisy. Doors constantly slamming, people smoking at entrance and exits. Reminds me more of staying in an apartment building. Walls are thin, you can hear people next to you. Would suggest getting a room away from the stairs and elevator. Furniture is a bit dated in rooms and rooms are a little smaller than what I’m use to from this company. Maybe they choose not to upgrade the rooms since they have a lot of ”tenants” vs “guests/visitors” breakfast and Evening mixer (m-f) are nice additions. Basic selections at breakfast. Nice location with lots of stores, restaurants, and mall within walking distance and 2 mile radius. Also close to highway. My stay was for business. Needed to be here for 3 months for work. Because of my length of stay. I’m choosing to move to one of the other hotels for a little more quiet.
Im torn on the rating for this hotel. The staff and housekeeping do an exceptional job. The staff are extremely accommodating and quick to resolve any issues. Housekeeping does a good job cleaning the room and if you leave them a note on specific things you want done, they get it done. Tamika from housekeeping is extremely considerate and thoughtful! Im always asking for more coffee and this morning she she came by my room and delivered a Christmas gift. Inside the gift bag was coffee filters with Maxwell and Starbucks coffee!! She just made my day!The hotel is in a great location. The hotel rooms are spacious and the kitchens are well equipped. The bed has a comfortable mattress with a mix of firm and soft pillows. They have blackout curtains that work very well. The walls are a bit thin and if you are a light sleeper, you can hear the doors slam and people talking in the hallway (not to often). I would strongly recommend a corner room facing the Springfield Inn (back of hotel). The gym is a bit cramped with 2 treadmills, 2 ellipticals, a bike and free weights. For some reason, the TV is really not accessible if you are on the treadmills or ellipticals. If you are on those machines you are staring at a wall.I have to say, if it wasnt for the exceptional staff and housekeeping, I probably would have left this hotel weeks ago. The owner is so cheap that it reflects throughout the hotel! From an outdated guest room, to gum on the gym carpet, to having a stained (I have to put the extra sheets on it) couch, cheap coffee and stating the hotel cant do a decent breakfast due to COVID (they currently have a water bottle, apple, small blueberry muffin and a snack bar). However, the Residence Inn in Midland, MI (20 mins away) where my colleagues are staying have beautifully decorated rooms (taupe coloring, compared to plain white stucco type walls) and a decent breakfast with coffee and tea!
Justine demanded I give up my room and stay across the street at another hotel because a family had a fire. Said pretty much I had no choice. Manager called me back and said my room will be ready. I will not be staying here anymore. I have always stayed at ONLY Marriott hotels, but this was uncalled for.
Overall: Excellent experience, friendly staff, clean roomStayed here while attending a wedding in the area. When we arrived, a surprise late checkout made our room unavailable. Staff was incredibly nice and was able to arrange a temporary room for us to get ready, then moved our bags to our original room while we were gone. Hotel shuttle got us to the wedding on time. Very accommodating and friendly staff. Particularly appreciated Nick from the front desk who made sure that all was well and our needs were met. When we arrived in our room for the evening, was very clean including bed and bathroom. Overall, they absolutely took care of us when a problematic situation arose beyond their control. We would stay here again and recommend that friends and family do the same.
My wife and I, along with our two teenage sons enjoyed our stay at this location. Everything was very clean and well maintained. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating when we asked questions or made requests. In addition to having a comfortable room, my wife and I enjoyed the patio area while our sons played basketball on the adjacent court. All in all, this was a top notch experience.
We stayed just one night while attending a wedding at the Bay City Country club: the Inn is convenient to I-75 but not so close that we heard or saw the freeway traffic. Considering the relatively low cost we were pleasantly surprised at the size of the room.Since its a Marriott we expected the service to be good and the room to be very clean and we were not disappointed. We thought that the free breakfast would be a light continental one but it was full meal of good quality.Im not in the habit of posting reviews and I hope this does not read like an ad for the hotel, but the building was modernand very clean and the staff was genuinely friendly and professional.
My daughter had a softball tournament in the area which brought us to your hotel. We were wishing her game times would have allowed us more time to enjoy our stay!! During our two night stay we were only able to swim once but enjoyed the larger pool than other places weve stayed. I especially appreciated the washer and dryer that actually cleaned and dried her uniform in a timely manner.
We enjoyed the experience When we went to see the saginaw spirit hockey games . We felt safe and taken care of !We traveled 5.5 hours and it was worth the stay at this place. It was close to shopping and eating but most of all the comfort of the stay was the best . We always booked the residence inn because we enjoyed the kitchen area and the separate bedrooms. It wa a short distance to the dow event center where the hockey games were. The breakfast was amazing and perfect amount of food. The workers were all so pleasant and helped us in so many ways. Always greeting us when we entered and asked how we were every single time. The definitely take pride in their jobs and the quality was outstanding.
This property exceeded our expectations. I have stayed at Residence inns in the past and would say that this one was the nicest one Ive been at. My cousins, that I was travelling with, were most impressed as they had never stayed at a Residence inn before. The only small issue was that one of our group members was gluetin free, When I booked the reservation, I mentioned it and was told just to mention it at check in. We did and were met with uncertainty and told that the breakfast staff could advise us in the morning. So in the morning, I saw a gluetin free options available sign and asked one of the breakfast staff what the options were. She said that she was unsure as she was new to the breakfast area. Fair enough. When she returned, (she checked in the kitchen as well as at the front desk) she advised that they were unsure and probably we shouldnt risk it. We stuck with the eggs and yogurt and fruit. We would have been happier if there was some type of muffin or something kept in the freezer even, that could have been served. Not a huge issue though. We had called the manager Chanze earlier in the day to deal with a cancellation, we had a cousin who was unexpectedly snowed in and couldnt make it and needed to cancel one of our rooms, he was professional and helpful and was there to greet us when we checked in. Other staff were professional and friendly as well, particularly the kitchen staff, but really everyone said hello as you walked by. Rooms were extremely clean and well maintained. We couldnt have been happier with our stay.
My family absolutely loved this hotel! With 2 little girls ages 2&5 we found that the pool of course was their favorite and breakfast was awesome! There was waffles every morning for them and something different everyday for us (eggs,French toast, sausage biscuits and gravy, and pancakes)! The lady running the breakfast is super nice as well. We got a 2 bedroom suite and this I would definitely recommend. There was 2 bedrooms,2 bathrooms and a full kitchen complete with dishes, pots and pans and silverware! You have no need to spend a fortune eating out every night. There also is a tv in every room so the kids can watch cartoons to their hearts desire and dad can still watch his cop shows! If you have little kids their is a nice little park just down the street across from the Walmart! You can literally walk there! All in all we really loved our stay!
We have been staying at the Residence Inn Saginaw for the last 4 years with a group of athletes. They have always been very friendly and helpful. The mixer dinners have helped keep costs down for the athletes traveling from out of state. The rooms are comfortable and the kitchens are great. Breakfast is wonderful and takes away the stress of feeding our athletes in the mornings. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
I highly recommend this up-to-date, beautifully decorated, comfortable suite. The housekeeping staff keep it impeccable! Pet-friendly. Lovely gas fireplace. Separate bedroom and ample closet/dresser space. Everything you need available. The bed is comfortable and the bedroom well-appointed. Two flat screens and fast Internet are a plus. Staff is friendly and efficient.I have very high standards and would stay here anytime, recommend it, and will look for other like properties on vacation. The price was low and quality high. Lives up to Marriot standards 100%.
I would be able to rate the hotel well except for a major complaint.... our door was unlocked twice upon returning. This is a concern as money became missing but even greater as we had two small children with us. When staying in a hotel it is assumed that your door will remain locked and only housekeeping will have entrance. This is a great concern and if you feel so I would definitely not recommend this hotel. I travel frequently at least twice s month for work and have never experienced this at any other hotel!
Rooms are very spacious and clean. What really made the stay special was how friendly the staff was. They went out of their way to find my sister gluten free breakfast food (she has celiacs). Then they brought over coloring materials for the kids and proceeded to make up a contest and hang up their pictures. Were definitely going to stay again when we visit Saginaw in the future.
Pool and hot tub are very well maintained, the pm front woman Jasmine was always so kind and helpful with all of our needs. Rooms were very well kept and tidy. Manager was helpful with giving advice on what to do around town. This is our families new place to stay for vacation
Wouldn’t go there no more they charged me $721 for 3 nights no cleaning services,no clean towels, & the tv was not working then had the nerve to charge me $250 for smoking fee and me & my guests smoked outside and the smoke was on us when we came in the room so of course it smelled like smoke then took a picture of the lighter on the table milds that wasn’t lit and ashes that came out the milds the white heavy set lady from the front desk seem like she didn’t like us because we were black she kept giving us mean looks she was rude towards us like it was so horrible never again !!
If yoy are looking for a hotel in the area, i highly recommend the residence inn. The staff are wonderful people! Im here for business for 6 weeks, by myself, a small 24 year old girl. They took good care of me, and kept and eye on me, and made sure I was safe. They even gave me a Christmas card signed by all the staff, and a candy cane on Christmas day! Pet friendly, dogs, cats, birds, hamsters, rabbits, you name it! My room has a full sized kitchen and dish washer! Very comfortable! Free breakfast every morning at 6am, and free dinner Monday through Wednesday, starting at 7pm. Pool is really nice, along with a gym and laundry room! They even have FRER name brand Paul Mitchell shampoo and conditioner!Best hotel Ive ever stayed at! 10/10 will stay again! I have nothing bad to say about this place!
This place is great! Big, clean rooms, comfortable beds and its very quiet. The breakfast was awesome, with alot of options. Friendly staff. I will go back here every time. The only downside is, they dont tell you about the hidden fees. Our room was supposed to be $119 a night, and they charged $160. My husband asked the front desk and they said that they charge a just in case deposit, which will be returned within a few days. The pool was out of order while we were there was the hot tub was great!
The Residence Inn Marriott was fantastic! The value of the what I experienced was money well spent. I was just a mile or two from the conference, the floor was quiet so I could focus on my presentation. The grounds, elevator, and room was clean. Finally, the service I received for Chance and David was spot on!
This is my second time staying at the Saginaw Residence Inn. Both times I have been very impressed with the service quality and the room comfort. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone staying in town longer than a few days. The kitchenette and larger living space make these rooms much more comfortable than a regular room--especially when traveling with family.
We came to Saginaw to meet up with extended family to celebrate my Grandmothers 90th birthday. My family has met in previous years at the Saginaw Residence Inn, and my Aunt recommended it for my family too. It was perfect for large afternoon/evening family get togethers using the Mix area. We played old home movie DVDs on the tv, took family photos by the fireplace in the lobby, and ordered pizzas. The suites were perfect for families - my Aunt had a two bedroom suite for her, her husband and two teenagers, and my kids and I shared a one bedroom suite. We were able to prepare meals in our private kitchen areas, and the pool, hot tub, and fitness center kept everyone busy! The staff were very helpful and friendly, and every area was clean and modern.
Stayed at many Residence Inns in the past and this is hands down the best one Ive stayed at. I wasnt able to get her name, but there is this one lady who I believe was one of the chefs. She is literally the sweetest and most genuine person Ive encountered. Breakfast is excellent and the free dinner doesnt hurt. 5/5 will be staying here again!
If you are looking for a hotel to stay with your family this is the place to go. The staff was extremely kind, helpful and responsive to our needs. The rooms were clean and the amenities were great. I have 3 kids and they all enjoyed their time and we found the value to meet our needs.
We have been traveling all over Michigan all week staying in hotels everywhere we go and this is by far the best hotel. The price was awesome and the room. They have Really friendly staff, good breakfast and we enjoyed playing pool and the pool. They even have popcorn in the room which was a nice touch with our movie we watched.
Wonderful hotel and staff. The suite was more like a five star hotel then any other. Looking forward to my next visit there and hope to find other Residence Inns Marriott in other locations as nice as this one. Stayed in one in Miami but wasnt quite as happy with or comfortable with the staff or room. Also stayed in a five star in Havana, Cuba. It was beautiful but the rooms did not compare to beauty and comfort. Thank you again. Recommend highly.
We went to visit our daughter who attends Saginaw state valley university. It is a really nice hotel with all the amenities of home. It was clean and everyone was really nice and courteous.. I highly recommend this hotel. The breakfast area was stocked full and the staff was keeping a close eye on it to make sure nothing ran low. From the check in process to the check out process everything was top notch!
The Residence Inn Saginaw is one of the nicest Residence Inns I have stayed at. Newly renovated and spacious. The two bedroom/two bath suites and amazing. The room and hotel was extremely clean and well kept. Every staff member I encountered was friendly and helpful. It is always refreshing to be greeted by the housekeeping staff as they walk by. I will stay here again when in the area!
Housekeeping crew leaves a lot to be desired. You need to stay on top of them at all times if you want your room cleaned properly. If not they do as little as possible. They will take dirty dish clothes and towels but not replace them. Trying to get paper towels or dishwasher cleaner is like pulling teeth. Always say they dont have any.Guess this Marriott is on a very tight budget. They stopped getting the USA Today which was a nice bonus. If you are not from Saginaw why would you care about the local Saginaw news???The stairwells are never vacuumed and they look it!Other Residence Inns are maintained so much better!
I would highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a comfortable, clean, quiet, and very well maintained property. We spent 5 nights, and enjoyed each and every night, equally! The front desk staff, maintenance personnel, and cleaning crew were ALL very personable! We throughly enjoyed our stay!Well be back!
Facility and room are tastefully decorated, excellent breakfast and facilities. Only issue was the room which was too warm at night for a restful sleep - need a fan or other means to keep the sleeping area cool ,with less noise from the air conditioning system which cycled on and off during the night which also woke me up. Staff very pleasant and helpful.
We were in town for our granddaughters soccer tournament, which her team WON, and decided to stay in town rather than travel back down to Ann Arbor and back up the next day. It was a good decision. The room at the hotel was fine and we enjoyed the friendly staff and not having to drive the extra hour and a half each way.
This hotel was a pleasant surprise. We have paid more money elsewhere and havent enjoyed it. The only downfall would be the pool temperature. Very cold. I purchased the upgrade on the internet and was greatly disappointed. The breakfast was wonderful. The two rooms we enjoyed. Lovely hotel.
We chose this hotel because it was central to Saginaw, Frankenmuth and Birch Run. This hotel is close to great shopping in Saginaw and was close to I-675 so that we could easily and quickly travel to Frankenmuth and Birch Run. There were many good restaurants close to this hotel as well as a movie theatre. Our suite was great; clean, spacious and well laid out. We were in prime summer travel time when we stayed there. Would like to see breakfast items refreshed a little more often. They were quickly emptied due to high volume. Would also recommend extra pool maintenance when there is much use.
I am currently staying at the same hotel for an extended amount of time (6/3), I have 2 co-workers staying there as well (1 checked out last night) but there is 1 other person still there with me for the duration. He says where I stay. All of us have had issues with the lack of hot water. Mine was only a couple of days. The guy that is working with me however has had issues from day 1. He has reported it to the front desk numerous times, they are having water issues, I get that, but, this morning he reported it to the front desk AGAIN, what the on duty manager done next just made me cringe. Its to the point that Im about ready to switch to a different hotel other than Marriott. When told about about the water situation, his question was what time are you taking your shower?Im sorry, but I didnt realize we had assigned shower times!! While were on the subject, when I checked in, I spoke with sales to negotiate a better rate, I also, asked for the high speed internet to be included, she said she would have to get back to me, that was a week ago, still no answer. I guess she works like the water does. Now lets move onto the breakfast, I would be ashamed to set the food out to the public the way it is here. The eggs are cut into squares like its quiche, let alone it has enough butter/grease in the bottom to make you not even want it. Whats wrong with mixing them up before serving them? Thats when theres enough food out for everyone. You know, I hate doing this, its hard enough to run a business that is customer driven, and have someone complaining, but when he (Bryan)asked what time are you taking your shower? I wont put down what I really wanted to say because it is not professional was the last straw. All Im asking for is good customer service.I know by 2 of us checking out will not break Marriott or this hotel, but, I will have no problem going to a competitor because of it either. I stay at Marriott for a reason, because they are normally a good company to deal with. I travel @ 300 days a year and am fortunate enough to be able to choose what hotels I stay at and I normally choose Marriott. My colleagues name is he is staying in room
Clean, well maintained, full complement of kitchen equipment and food-related items: utensils, containers, pots, etc. Internet is very decent. High speed is limited to only three devices and there seems no way to switch which devices are where but speed difference seems insignificant anyway. All appliances and lights are in working order and so are the thermostat and plumbing. Large office, resting and eating areas near lobby. Overall, highly recommended!
Ive stayed here 3 weeks in a row and the printer was out of order. Every week I complain and they tell me its being fixed that day. At least once a week I return to my room and the key doesnt work. I had towels with hair stuck in them. There is seriously something wrong with the scrambled eggs at breakfast. I dont know how they prepare them but they taste horrible.
We experienced endless issues with our room and satisfaction. I believe and hope they are able to learn from our experiences and improve their standards. If focusing on their product standards they have to potential to with location and brand to have satisfactory. It is my hope that are experience is not common occurrence, but rather an unfortunate experience all around.
The staff at the Residence Inn was extremely polite. The rooms were neat and clean. The bed very comfortable. The whole place was very well maintained and inviting. My wife and I liked everything about the hotel and if we are returning to Saginaw will definitely be back to the same place.
We stayed over Christmas at the Saginaw Residence Inn. We had a get together on Christmas Eve in the Breakfast room. As usual your staff was very helpful. This is a great hotel. Your staff from the Managers down to the maids and breakfast staff are fabulous. Keep up the good work.
We are accustomed to Excellent service with the Marriott Hotels. A large majority of our stays are at the FAIRFIELD Inn of OKEMOS, Mi. When in the area of Saginaw we have enjoyed the FAIRFIELD INN next to the Residence In of Saginaw. We chose to stay at the Saginaw Fairfield Inn but were informed of their rooms being sold out. Conveniently for Marriott both the Residence Inn and the Fairfield Inn are contiguous. The Residence Inn undoubtedly costs more BUT...the concierge didnt mind since we were paying. We accepted, used our points and checked in.While the FairField Inn would be our number one choice, I would accept Residence Inn again.
Lady at the front in the morning “jasmine” was horrible. Attitude on the phone, laughing at my concerns, then the other morning staff was laughing with her. Would not help me at all. The most disrespectful front desk person i ever experienced. Would hang up on me and say “the call dropped”, they lied saying i left something in the frig and i left nothing. I asked to see pictures they said “we don’t have to show you”, would not print me a receipt. I will not be staying there ever again.
We are Marriott members and often choose the Residence Inn however the Saginaw site is tired. Although they have renovated and you can smell the new carpets and paint; the beds are tired and saggy, the bath tub was chipped, both the taps in the bath and sink leaked constantly. The breakfast food was luke warm at best even the coffee . When we brought it to their attention they offered to nuke it for us in the microwave. I did not want nuked coffee so I did without. There was debris on the bottom of the hot tub. Not just a small amount but a large amount of grit and gravel.
I Love this hotel...I seem to get a room here twice a month because I just love the environment at this hotel...This hotel really makes you feel like your at home away from home...I mean the beds are really comfortable...The rooms are always nice and clean...The air in the entire building is just fresh...last but not least the staff there are just AWESOME!!!! Havent had not one problem yet!!!
The stay was ok but I was disgusted when I asked for complimentary toothpaste and was told they (Residence Inn) didnt have any. That was ok then I asked to purchase some remind you in the lobby is a whole line of things to purchase. But was told sorry no toothpaste to purchase either. Residence Inn was rated 4.5 well to my family and I its more like a 1.5 over priced and almost one step from the hood!!!! But I can say that housekeeping was phenomenal.😊😊😊😊😊..... My family and I wouldnt recommend this place or will we be returning..................😒
Was there for pleasure, for shopping. It is close to Birch Run and Frankenmuth. The staff are very friendly from the time that we got to the hotel to the time we left. We were suprised about the comp. dinner on Monday and Tuesday and it was good. There is alot to do in the area, shopping and if you have kids there is a great park down the street from the hotel. Thanks to the staff for a great time
I found the stay to be fantastic, the staff friendly and helpful and it made the trip worthwhile after 6 hours in the car. The decor is an odd mix of late 60s mixed with modern day but it was nothing that I would balk at. The hotel is nice, the area was nice and I had a fantastic stay.
The residence Inn in Saginaw, MI is excellent. Only ran into one problem and it was not the hotels fault. Some other people at the hotel were horribly abusing the breakfast service (e.g. 14 waffles so they could have dinner later) and it took a bit for the 1-person staff to overcome the result. Not her fault people have no class. Once the food was restocked and the mess cleaned up, everything was great. But to reiterate, the hotel itself was great. Even has a billards table. :)
T.V. did not work half the time and very few TV channels so forced to use NETFLIX but could not get NETFLIX 90% of the time because the internet service was so poor. The worst Residence Inn I have ever stayed in and I am a Platinum Elite member so I stay in Residence Inns for business all the time. Only Residence Inn with no newspapers and lousy evening food as little as there was. I would not come up here at all except I have to for business. I would not even call this a decent 2 star hotel. I work all day and am not at the hotel and only ask for a newspaper and decent internet service and decent TV service. Compared to all other Residence Inns I stay at, I do not think that is asking much.
I come back time after time because of the good people (staff) that work in the hotel. They are awesome, polite, always smiling and geniune to the core, they really want to know how you are feeling and what they can do to make it even better. Going beyond normal service...........keep up the good work Cory and Megan
The was not a friendly place. They do not allow non registered guess. Kids went to visit out of town relatives there and they were kicked out of the pool for not being guess. They then threatened to kick my relatives out unless they made us get out of the room. All of this happened before 8pm. I will not recommend going to this establishment.
I stay here because it is close to work. I come twice a year and stay here because of that. Also, I like that there are restaurants close by. So location is very good. Also, I am very particular about cleanliness and your hotel is very clean. Also I like that it is quiet and the staff is friendly. Thats just about it but thats all I need.
We had a lot of fun on our stay, even just staying in our room. We made dinner, watch a movie as a family and when it was time for the kids to go to bed my partner and I were able to go to our own area, the bedroom, and continue watching tv and hanging out while the kids slept on the pull out bed on the couch.
Receptionist wasnt very nice . Then got asked to step out my room I had kids in , because someone else in their building was smoking. Then he continues to ask me to step out and smell it. Which if it is , thats not my job to help you get that situation under control. Dont feel like I should of been disturbed while Im relaxing with my family , to step outside to smell funk in your hall way.
When I was about to check into my room, they told me that I couldnt pay with cash and I had no idea because they didnt tell me that over the phone when I was booking the room. So I had to leave and go to the bank. But overall, everything was very nice. The rooms were amazing. It made me feel like I wasnt in Saginaw.
Clean, modern and friendly staff. I am here for up to 90 days so having the full kitchen and separate bedroom makes this fell like home. The Residence Inn is located in walking distance from restaurants, libations, shopping and is only 18 minutes from the MBS airport.
I had a conference at the nearby Sheraton 4-Points which is being totally remodeled - It was a very attractive property and in some ways superior to the residence inn, but I choose to stay here to help maintain my Gold status. The fact that it is set back from the road is nice, but can make finding it a bit difficult at first.

2022-02-13I enjoyed my three night stay at Residence Inn during one of my work trips in Saginaw, MI. The Residence Inn by Marriott is a reliable chain for quality when staying. My Suite was a good size, the desk staff addressed any need I had. The kitchen manager in the morning did a great job having breakfast prepared each morning by 6:30am. I was able to take advantage of the heated indoor pool and whirlpool in my spare time at night. I appreciated that the pool facilities were open until 11AM.My only downside is my room was not turned over once during my 4-day, 3-night stay.

2022-04-14The rooms and hotel were exceptionally clean, modern, comfortable, and well-designed. Comfortable bed, good shower pressure, and Paul Mitchell bath products. Hotel employees were polite and professional. There were a few minor inconveniences: only 2 bath towels, no sheets/blankets for the sofa bed, lacking some silverware (ex. Only 2 spoons), overly chlorinated pool/hot tub, TV out of order in the gym, and breakfast items werent restocked after other guests absconded with most/all of the yogurt, chocolate milk, and hard boiled eggs.I would absolutely stay here again on my next visit to Saginaw.

2022-05-03Stayed here for 3 nights while in town visiting from Virginia. After having a horrible experience at the Renaissance in Detroit, coming here for the last leg of our trip, my fiance & I were greeted with a warm welcome.During our stay, I had the pleasure to work with Brandon. This man took care of us and made sure our stay was nothing less than perfect! Hes professional, personable, and such a sweetheart. His kindness was the highlight of our trip (everyone had seemed angry and impatient the whole time we were in Michigan). Had great conversation and wished us safe travels as we left.I highly recommend this location! Its clean, quiet, and in the perfect location. This hotel will definitely be my go to every time I visit the area. Thank you for having us and going above and beyond to accommodate us!

2022-07-01Ive stayed in a lot of Marriotts for work and for business, of all hotel grades. My expectation is regardless of level or brand, the bed will be comfortable, the room will be clean, and staff will be helpful. This room smelled strange, had cobwebs, and the staff made me feel that I was a burden while simply checking in. There are a bunch of other hotels in this complex. This one needs a serious investment from Marriott or to be closed down. The room is worth 60$ max.

2022-07-08The General manager is an arrogant sarcastic individual who should not be the face of Marriott. My plan was to stay at this hotel until Spring but the noise and mediocre service forced me to end my stay in 3 days. I went to the staff for a solution and that when I met the saddest example of customer service I have ever encountered. He let me know that he could care less about my comfort or concerns. He only attempted to act as if he cared when I asked for the number to customer service. As I was speaking with him his staff came to talk with him and his attitude and demeanor towards them was that of a parent scolding a child. I will never stay at a Marriott again if this is the type of person they are having represnt their brand! Im very disappointed and shocked!

2022-07-03This hotel is disgusting. My daughters feet were black from dirt on the floor within 10 minutes. The bathtub had stains from an old bath mat and a dirt ring. The toilet was stained inside the bowel to the point it looked like permanent skid marks. There were stains on some of the sheets. The couch and chairs had rips and stains from some substance on them. I let the front desk know and was told they were due for a renovation before covid and were delayed. We were so disgusted that we left in the middle of the night and went elsewhere. Do not stay here....

2022-05-15Positive: My room had stained sheets and stained comforter. The hotel staff move my room and stated she would have the manager call me. He never did because she forgot to tell him. They promise me points that I never received

2022-07-03Been here 3 times and 2 of my experiences were good but this time the night worker was very rude and not allowing a bone fire because she said it was to late when at most it had been dark 2 hours. Closed and kicked everyone out of pool at 11

2022-01-04Positive: The room was spacious and clean. It had a full kitchen and seating area. To top it off the staff was amazing, they brushed my car off after the storm. Negative: No.

2021-12-26I love my room and the people are very nice. I got a king suite. It is roomy and has almost everything you need. The only advice I have is check the room out before you go shopping. There are not a lot of utensils and the cookware is not that great. But there are plenty of stores near by or you can bring your own. I still give it 5 stars.. great location, great employees and clean.
