As someone who often officiates at funerals, Harris funeral homes are my first recommendation for a grieving family. Their professionalism, compassion, and care is unmatched. Also, they keep their locations in top condition. They go above and beyond to ensure that details such as sound systems, music, chair arrangements, etc. are met with excellence. A family only gets one opportunity to grieve and celebrate the life of a deceased loved-one at a memorial service. Harris does it right. I give them my highest recommendation.
I made arrangements many years ago at Harris Funeral Home in Livonia for each of my parents. Through that difficult time the people at Harris Funeral home were a true blessing. They thoroughly set things up in a very professional manner and in a loving way. They also answered the many questions that I had and were simply terrific. I have presided over many funerals, including quite a few at the Harris funeral home. I have never heard a bad word about them from anyone. They have always showed wonderful compassion toward the family of the loved one who died; they conduct the funeral with utmost dignity; and they are always ready to help in the grief process with those left behind.

We used Harris Funeral Home for my mothers funeral services just recently. I cannot say enough good things about them. They guided us through this very sad time with such care, and made everything surprisingly smooth and effortless. The rooms are comfortable and inviting, and we were proud to have our mothers viewing here. Providing memory boards and producing a really nice DVD of photos to play in the room and in the lounge was a great touch. Everyone we worked with was so accessible and kind, professional and efficient. It was a pleasure working with them.
Dave and the group from Harris were very kind and accommodating to my family during the loss of our mother. They created a one day funeral outside of their building during covid this past November. They have been calling and checking on my family to meet our needs. This is a smaller funeral home with a big heart. Thank you Harris!

Everyone was very caring and considerate during a very difficult time. My mother passed away during the pandemic, and we had no idea what restrictions were in place or what we could and could not do. Dave and everyone at RG and GR Harris were on top of everything.

My wifes cousin lived in livonia and we live in ohio. The staff was so kind and helpful to us. We had never met, yet they treated us like old friends. We just got a card from them, because it has been one year since she passed away. Such thoughtfulness. We would highly recommend them.

My father who is 82 passed away and he was a paraplegic the funeral director made my father look tranquil put a rosary in his hands.The importance behind what I am saying is because I was not going to have an open casket or view him and my brother wanted to take one last look at our father.He open the casket and gave my brother that peace of mind and I was so surprised to see the what I had asked him to put in the coffin which were a few pictures and everything was all all there.I am comfortable and I will make my arrangements as well at this funeral home

I called this place today to try and see about some careers they’d possibly have and the First Lady I talked to hung up in my face so rudely, I called again “another lady “ answered the phone and was rude as well asking was I sure I wanted to work. Made me not want to even work there. Beware.

2022-02-28This funeral home is very close to my home and to the cemetery where I own plots. Everyone there is very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is pleasant and the decor is beautiful. My husband’s funeral was there in December. Everyone was very flexible and allowed us to have the funeral we wanted. Recently I was able to pre-plan my own funeral with Harris Funeral Home.

2021-08-19I was so fortunate to have chosen RG&GR Harris to take the wheel in making arrangements when my mother passed recently. She already had a prepaid funeral arranged in Virginia but there was a lot to be done in Michigan upon her death for that to happen. Dave, Tiffany, Elizabeth (and maybe others I didn’t even know about) were so professional, efficient and caring in coordinating all the preparation, paperwork and transportation to get mom to her final resting place. They were great at communicating to me and the funeral home in Virginia. That funeral home spoke very highly of RG&GR Harris. They took what I thought would have been a difficult situation and just aced it! There were so many “personal” touches that were never expected but totally appreciated. Thank you RG&GR Harris family!

2021-10-09I am late with this review, but I did want to share how wonderful everyone was during our loss. This was a long distance situation and everyone went above and beyond- especially Dave. Even when Dave wasnt there, I could reach him easily. He accommodated me in so many thoughtful ways. There was one small snag , but Dave resolved it easily. So even though it is a few years, I have never forgotten what was done for me and am very grateful.

2020-11-12The funeral home was professional, compassionate and caring. They did exactly what our family arranged for and went over and above expectations. They were able to accommodate our needs during a very sad time and treated us like family. They called to follow up many times, to help us with tasks that other places were supposed to handle but did not. They also called to check on us through the grieving process. I can recommend them highly and will do business with them again and again. I felt comfortable in our hometown funeral parlor and typically funeral homes have not felt this way to us...I felt warmth and care ❤.THANK YOU, R.G. & G.R. Harris!

2021-09-02When my Father passed away we had contacted another funeral home and they had picked up his body. We had some issues with them and a friend got me in contact with RG & GR Harris. From the get go, the ENTIRE staff went above and beyond for my Family and helped make this horrible situation, more bearable. Treated us as we were Family!! Would highly recommend them…
