Their Chocolate custard is love!
Ritas reminds me of being with my family out on the East Coast so I am THRILLED to have found a store near me. The Italian Ice cant be beat. I always get the gelati with the flavored ice layered with vanilla frozen custard.....my faaaaavorite

Went here with my dad on Easter & had a lovely experience. Everyone was really nice and patient with us while we tried to figure out what flavors we wanted. Well be returning :)
Rita’s is the place to go for Italian ice. They have so many flavors to choose from in the service it is excellent. Along with the Italian ice the custard is so good. On top of the great selection and service this location is black owned. Sadly they are closed for the season but will be back open in March. I definitely recommend trying them out
I absolutely love Ritas this is the second location in Michigan. I drove over 45 mins to get a cotton candy with banana custard ice cream. So amazing! The great customer service is excellent!

Was excited to try this place for the first time. Figured it would brighten up our Monday. Turns out they are not open Mondays. I suggested the edit hope they keep up with Google to let folks know they are taking Mondays off.
I had a nice experience at Rita’s. I was greeted upon entry, the staff was very friendly, will definitely try it again! Great for the farmington neighborhood area ! Love it
So worth the trip!We live over an hour away, but I was craving Ritas. Googled and found out this place opened last year and reopened for the season in March. Its so worth the trip.My fiance had never had Ritas before and the owner Theo is super nice and helpful answering his questions.Definitely will be back.
The pros: Pretty good custard (but admittedly tastes kind of like any other custard I’ve tried). They do have lots of options for their Italian ice cream. Very nice employees.Cons: Seems more pricey than other ice cream shops in the same area for what you get. Their twist ice cream also regularly tastes like just chocolate instead of chocolate and vanilla.
Nice selection of italian ices and custard. The ices seemed a bit syrupy sweet.
I have never had this before. My friend is from Philly and swears by it.. That cherry lemonade is SOOOO good!
I really enjoyed my Gelatissss. They were delicious. I planned to go since last year. They put out BOGO coupons I had to go.. So in 2 days, i tried 4 flavors of Italian ice, Orange mango,peach,strawberry watermelon and strawberry. All with soft serve custard..... Ill pay full price anytime.

Went for the first time two days ago , Vanilla custard and Piña colada Italian ice mixture was excellent , One of the best deserts I have ever tasted!!! This will be my go to desert place!!!

Incredible to have a Rita’s in the area. We loved it on the east coast, and this was an exceptional treat along with a rush of fond memories. Social distancing makes the last of seating unfortunate. We hadn’t found any reasonably similar product... thank you for this new franchise!

Owners are amazing. Perfect for our neighborhood. We go weekly (plus) and ordered last week for my daughters birthday DRIVE BY with social distancing and masks. We ordered a bucket of Ice. EVERYONE LOVED IT!!! CHECK IT!!! I had 2 small 6oz cups leftover of the Blood Orange - OUR KIDS AND OUR FAV!! Froze in small cups. Nice to mix with Labor Day cocktails. Lets support these guys!

2021-03-10I had the opportunity to photograph a few of their treats. after speaking with the nice owner, Theo I learned that Ritas, established in 1982 has over 600 franchise locations nationwide with only 3 in Michigan. He told me his favorite family memories as a youngster his parents would take the family to Pennsylvania during the summers and his favorite place to stop was, you guessed it, RITAS.He has only been open for 4 months but I was very impressed with the sweet young lady behind the counter who has great customer service skills and the clean and fresh environment. But most of all, the taste of their Reeses peanut butter sundae and their vanilla custard oreo cookie. I am not a sweet tooth person but after tasting this deliciousness, I can easily be convinced to come back. I highly recommend you stop over. Conveniently located next to Krogers.

2021-05-25Obsessed. Had Rita’s on the east coast and dreamed about getting more the next time I got to NJ. Found out by accident last summer we had two in the area. Thankfully I have to drive 40 minutes to get to one of the locations. Otherwise this would me dinner on hot days during the week. Must try ! You won’t be disappointed. Their is a reason this company is an ‘institution’.
