Dr. Helmus and his staff are simply amazing. Besides myself, I also take my 3 year old daughter there and I am so impressed with how well they are with her and make sure she is ok with every step they take. In return it has made her love going which is always a plus! The hygienist Kelsey is great at explaining everything and their receptionist Taylor is great when it comes to scheduling or rescheduling and always a welcoming face when we walk in the door. She is also great with my daughter who is always excited to get her treasure at the end of her appointment. I would recommend this dentist to everyone!
Dr. Helmus is fantastic! He relived my pain & made it possible to smile again... he is very kind & caring... explains everything to me & answers any questions I may have... I highly recommend him for all your dental needs... Cathy & Taylor in the front office are always so helpful & are very sweet ladies always willing to work with me in regards to scheduling my appointment’s... every dental tech & hygienist are amazing & very good at thier jobs, chatting with me whilst I am in the chair for my appointment’s... thank you everyone for all you have done for me!
Dr. Helmus does an amazing job as our family’s dentist!! He is patient and calm with my youngest daughter who can be a challenge at the dentist and quick and efficient with my older daughter who has a much higher pain tolerance :). We have been patients of his for over 10 years and have never been disappointed!! His new office is immaculate and very comfortable. His staff is very friendly and attentive!!
Most people dread the dentist, but that has never been my experience at River Ridge! I actually look forward to my appointments - from Kathy at the front desk who has served for many years and is always incredibly welcoming, to the hygienist that I always see, Shelley, I can’t say enough! She does such a fantastic job and really goes above and beyond, always showing me kindness. I would recommend this office to anyone! ✨
My 4 yr old ran into a counter and chipped his tooth. I called and they were able to get us in within 24 hrs! He was also due for a cleaning, so they did that in addition to buffing the sharp edges of the chip, on such short notice. Both the dental assistant & dentist were extremely friendly and knowledgeable, and the two women at the front desk were warm and welcoming from the moment we walked in.This was our first time here. Before I left, I made sure to schedule an appointment for our other toddler!
I have been going here since I have had teeth. Now I bring my children there and Dr. Helmus and staff are the best and make them feel comfortable at the dentist. Sheri is so patient with my 4 year old and now he loves the dentist. I highly recommend River Ridge Family Dentistry if you have a family or not I will not go anywhere else for my dental care.
I love River Ridge Dentistry! They recently relocated and their facility is very nice, updated, and organized. Dr. Helmus and the dental hygienists are very knowledgeable and nice. Ive gone here my whole life, and Im glad to continue coming here.
Ive had two visits here and have been incredibly impressed with the professional and friendly staff. I dont dread going to the dentist...I actually look forward to it! The staff is warm and wonderfully accommodating...especially towards my little ones! Highly recommend this practice for a family dentist!
They took really good care of my 3 year old during her first visit! She went in scared, but relaxed right away. They did a great job of making my daughter enjoy her first dental visit!
I have been going to River Ridge since I was a kid (was Dr Bouws back then) and the staff has ALWAYS been amazing. Love the friendly faces and welcoming atmosphere. Going to the dentist is not a scary experience with River Ridge. If you havent tried them and are looking for a great dentist, give them a call! You wont be disappointed!!
My family has gone to River Ridge for years. Always excellent, quality care for us and our 4 kids. I always feel like Dr Helmus never pushes for unnecessary work. He always gives an honest opinion and let’s us make the decision. Highly recommended!

I have been going to Dr Helmus now for over 12 years and now my husband and 4 kids go to his office and over the many years he has been great with getting us in ASAP even coming in on days off for emergency visits! Would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a new dentist!
We love seeing Shari our hygienist. She takes good care of us and we are able to schedule early in the morning which fits our schedule best. Recently she had to cancel and worked us back into an early appointment in a timely manner.
Love this office. ❤ They use to be located on 2663 44th St & recently moved to this Burlingame location. They have great rapport w/ their patients. Always friendly staff, get you in and out. They definitely value patients time. By the way love the new layout. Beautiful!

Starting using Dr. Helmus when my dentist retired. I had one tooth crowned and it went in perfectly with little or no adjustment. Also, they seem to keep appointment times and dont let me sit in the reception area very long.
Ive been going to River Ridge since I was a kid-- I remember getting the stickers, putting my name in for the stuffed animals, playing with the Duplos in the waiting area, and Dr. Bouws himself. Ive continued on with River Ridge since then, and have to say that theyve made going to the dentist and easy experience. In fact, after my last small filling (stressing about it for days in advance about the annoyance and inconvenience), I told Dr. Helmus that it was literally the best filling I have ever received -- I mean, its not enjoyable, but without any pain, not overly numbed-- went to work right after and within hours couldnt even feel like it occurred. Thats two thumbs up in my book.Great work, River Ridge!

I brought my little boy in with an infected tooth that needed to be pulled. They did so good with him. He wasn’t nervous one bit. And when we left my little boy even said. “That was fun!”They are great with kids, very clean, givevthe information but are not pushy and let you decide what you want to do.

Came in after the office was closed and Dr. Jeffrey took us in. My Brother came in with a tooth ache when the office was closed, and the Dentist took us in. We heard him apologizing to the receptionist and stating that he wouldn’t be able to sleep at night if he didn’t take him in.That kind of ethic and empathy is hard to find now a day.

2022-08-09This place is top notch. Everyone I have met there has been incredibly kind and friendly. I see Dr. Maring and she is the best dentist I’ve ever seen! Extremely knowledgeable, attentive, thorough and takes ample time with her patients. Also the place is incredibly clean! Would recommend to anyone looking for a dentist in the area!!

2022-04-16Have been going here for years. Always get a great cleaning and the hygenist and dentist (Helmus) really treat you with respect. I had a butcher dentist as a child so the way I am treated here is much appreciated.

2021-09-17Everyone is so personable & caring at River Ridge Dentistry! Dr Helmus is the best dentist Ive ever had. I require more numbing meds than most people and he always ensures I have the proper amount before starting work on my teeth. The entire staff is so friendly and are always inquiring about your comfort level. I would HIGHLY recommend them for anyone needing/looking for a new dentist.

2021-03-29River Ridge Dentistry is the best dentist office in West Michigan. Speaking from experience, I have gone to three other dentists in the area. Dr. Jeff Helmus careful diagnosis, thorough care plan and over the top integrity in helping me through several dental challenges is why you should consider going there too. But their entire staff works together with Dr. Helmus, making your experience the best one you could have. Five stars isnt near enough stars to rate River Ridge! - Heidi Boone

2019-12-30Very nice dentist. The new office is very nice. All the staff is very friendly and kind. They do great work and I trust Dr. Helmuss diagnosiss and evaluations. As with every dentist, they still havent figured out the whole, dont ask a person questions when you have tools in their mouth.

His staff is also great, and I really enjoyed my interactions with each and every one of them. 2019-09-25I have been so happy with Dr. Helmus and all of the office staff! Before signing my whole family up as patients, we were driving an hour to see a dentist I felt was trustworthy and honest. Dr. Helmus has been exceptionally patient with answering all my questions and while caring for my 2 kiddos, who really struggle to sit still. We plan to be patients for a long time!
