UPDATE: They were very responsive to my concerns about collections. Laura was very nice and sympathetic. I just hope that the office gets better training about updating important patient info for correct billing.Dr. Esther is fantastic, but my bill from December 2020 was about to go into collections because they sent it to the wrong address 4 times! I just received a bill this week for the FIRST time at my correct address. I updated my information with them in December because it had been several years since Id seen this doctor and I also had gotten married and moved a few times in all that time. But the office seemed a mess and disorganized and I made a point of letting them know my information had changed but apparently it never got updated. I called the billing department today and the lady told me the notice was sent out 4 times to an address I havent had in a decade! Dont put my credit at risk because your staff cant get it together and update basic information!!! Ridiculous and irresponsible!!!!!
Dr Ernst is phenomenal, but this office is one of the worst I’ve been to. I’m new to the area and have a 3 year old and newborn. I had been here once and had a great experience with Dr. Ernst, but chalked up some rudeness from the staff to “having a busy/bad day.” I’ve been there. I got a reminder phone call to be here today for a biopsy I’ve needed. When I arrived the receptionist was outrageously rude to me. She started talking down to me because he was at a different location, rolled her eyes when I asked for an idea of where the other office was (because I’m from up state) …… all for her to look up my appointment and see that my appointment was the next day. I had the voicemail reminder pulled up and I absolutely was told to be here today. I was very kind the entire time, and this woman met my kindness with one rude thing after another. She made me feel like I was severely inconveniencing her, when in reality….. she has ZERO idea what an inconvenience this was to me. But I smiled and said thank you.Having worked in healthcare for 10 years, healthcare quality, and having graduate level education…. I can tell you, this office is not worth your time. There are much more efficient offices in Metro Detroit with awesome clinical and non-clinical staff members who love their jobs. Dr Ernst is a great provider, so I hope he leaves this group before he drowns with this sinking ship.
Ive been going to Rochester Medical Group for 9 years, Ive seen about 5 different doctors in those 9 years. I never had any issues with the doctors, they were great, as were the medical staff. I was upset that the last time I was there my doctor told me it was her last day. This has happened with 2 or 3 doctors now. I see them for a year and then they leave with no prior notice to me. Ive had big issues with their billing department. They keep sending me a bill and Ive already paid it. They ask me to email proof that it was paid and I did...twice now. Then I hear no resolution and then get another bill. After 9 years Im switching to a new practice.
This is the absolute worst front dest staff ever! They make patients feel secondary. They place callers on hold for excessive amounts of time. They are very unprofessional. They are very rude! They are not customer service friendly. They are unorganized and lacks professionalism. I do not recommend this practice. The front desk staff is a direct reflection of the practice. This is the worst experience I have ever encountered working with medical staff. I lack confidence in their ability to provide high quality medical services. Poor customer service. Poor customer care. The voice message states that they provide PROMPT attention to customers. This is a false statement. They are the opposite of prompt. Please take your business elsewhere as this practice will frustrate any reasonable customer. I will share the names of the front desk staff in my next review.
This office is very unprofessional. They bill for services that they never provided just to make you pay out of pocket. In addition, the receptionist and the people at the billing department are all very unprofessional, RUDE and are unwilling to discuss or rectify their mistakes. I would not recommend this facility to anyone.
My first visit with this Medical Provider goes back 30 plus years during that time I have experienced first rate medical care. All of my medical challenges have been addressed and have been answered with a sense of compassion and understanding giving me a measure of comfort and the confidence that your staff will continue to provide for my health and well being.Thank You
I recently called to ask a question of the PA. Staff members left me on hold for a total of 15min. between having called twice. I agree with previous reviews of frustration with the front desk staff.Something needs to change in this office, be it more training or more employees to PROMPTLY answer the phone. This practice needs to get it together before they actually lose patients.
Great experience. I booked visits for both my kids. As it happened, these appointment coincided with the first day at the doctors new office building. Expected things to be slow and disorganized. But everything ran like clockwork. Front desk staff was lovely, lab tech professional, and doctor actually saw us on time!! A rarity in the healthcare world!!!
I have been going to Rochester Medical Group for many years. I see Dr. Gradis. He is a remarkable doctor. He takes his time to get to know you and then gives you all the time you need to explain your problem. He genuinely cares about your well-being and it shows. Most importantly, he is great at diagnosing your condition and providing the appropriate care. You always fully understand everything before you leave the examining room. When needed, Dr. Gradis is also able to refer you for more specialized care with some of the best specialists in the area. Furthermore, if tests are needed, a lot of them, e.g., x-rays, blood studies, EKGs, are available on site during your visit. No additional appointment somewhere else. Currently, Covid testing is available, also. This is my place for medical care.
Doctor is great. Improvements need to be made at the counter. No one has a procedure. They tell you that you don’t need the green temp paper and then they need it in the office. You get put on hold EVERY time and it lasts forever. When you schedule your physical they do not tell you to fast or any info abt the appt. The counter team acts put out and annoyed by patients. It is a mad rush and then the patient is confused. Please address this. It’s simply not nice. Be kind.
You are better off waiting to get in to see your primary care physician. Went in with a sprained ankle and the doctor was rude and when I politely told him that for future patients he should save comments expressing disbelief of a persons diagnosis, I was told I was going over my head for saying such. Last time I checked patient care and satisfaction are supposed to be top priority. Also he did nothing about my sprained ankle, but did in a round about way accused me of being a drug seeker and told me not to go to another urgent care. Save your time and money. Theres a reason their waiting room is empty.
I have been a patient of Dr. Federman at Rochester Medical Group for about a year. I have always received excellent care. Scheduling appointments was quick and easy - no month long wait for an appointment - and I was always seen quickly after arriving. Dr. Federman is friendly, professional, and thorough. Regardless of why I was there to see him, he took the time to listen, understand, and recommend the appropriate treatment. He personally called to follow up on test results and my progress. I would highly recommend Dr. Federman and Rochester Medical Group to anyone looking for a primary care physician.
This place is the worst!!! They over bill you and when I call to ask Dr. Bouchre to call me about the charges she would never return my request. I called 4 times with no returned calls to discuss the services I didnt request or informed of for my preventive physical mandated by my employer. This isnt an isolated situation, it happened before.
I have no issues with my doctor. I have seen him for the last 2 years and I like him very much. What I have an issue with is the front desk personnel. These people are nasty and treat patients as if they wanted them to go away. If it wasn’t for my doctor I would be going some place else. It is not only how they treat me that irks me, it is how they treat everybody. I know people have long days and get tired, but if I am concern with my health, and go there to pay for a service, I don’t need this service to make me feel worse than when I got there.
Scheduled an appointment last month for my husband. When he arrived, he was told that the doctor he was supposed to be seeing is no longer with the practice. They NEVER called us to cancel and inform us about this change. What horrible business practice. Be warned when scheduling with this medical group. Our entire family will be finding a new practice.
Dr. Gratis is wonderful! Office staff is awful! Wait forever for someone to answer the phone, then placed on hold, then disconnected - not once but several times. I remind myself that even though they are not so great Gratis is!Hopefully, this changes. It’s been this way for a long time. Tired of COVID being blamed.Deb Linford
Ive been a patient for a year and already went through three primary care physicians. They didnt notify that they left this location, my insurance company had to notify me as I require a PCP. Two left and the third is too incompetent to understand how to fill out paperwork. The office manager was rude as well. Waiting an hour to see the doctor after your appt starts is unprofessional. My family will not be seen here again. Dr Dobrin as a doctor I thought youd be smart enough to know how to read paperwork. Spent an hour arguing with this idiot for no reason! She had her assistant call me in for an appt only to say she wont approve my paperwork. She said that before! Something tells me she wanted the copay, such a scam! No wonder the reviews here are extremely low. Im new to the area and wanted an office close, guess I should have done my research first!
My husband was tested for covid on Friday, 7/31. They said there was a 3 day wait. First they said he would get his results on Sunday, then they said Monday, then Wednesday. I called again and they said Thursday. I called Thursday and they said there is now a 7 day wait check the portal, theres nothing I can do then they hung up on me. The wait was only 3 days when he was tested. So did they move other people ahead of him and put him on a 7 day wait??? He still did not have his results after 10 days. Unacceptable. Henry Ford labs work all weekend. I suggest you go to a test site affiliated with them instead.
My insurance suggested this as my primary care doc practice. The doctor I have seen seems to differ after each year. They outsource their billing and that is apparently a low-bid service provider. I have been getting calls from a collection agency for a $20 co-pay from over three years ago. I have always paid at the time of service, but received a collection call months ago hounding me for $20 so I paid it. Now they are coming back again and demanding I provide them proof that I paid this, again, several months ago. How much is my time worth to dig up that validation? I will be looking for a new primary care doc, as I do not tolerate double and triple billing of office visit co-pays.
The doctors are good and attentive, but the office staff is very disorganized, forget to give written instructions before ultrasound, ordered prescriptions or prescription renewals at wrong pharmacies, and if you make an appointment, you have to wait at least 1-2 hours to see the doctor. Very disappointing. Except for Dr. Dobrin that is one of the best doctors around, I would not go to this medical office.
Went there yesterday at 5:30 with an appointment for a routine physical - blood pressure, exam, blood draw - and was out the door exactly 30 minutes later! The staff were fast-moving, because they were obviously busy, but were polite, knowledgeable, and I didnt even feel the needle, the nurse was so good!Recommend them highly.
There is NO better internist than Dr Michael Margolis. Dr Margolis takes great care of several generations of our family and we know that there is no one better suited for the job. Dr Margolis finds the root of problems that other doctors miss and his compassion and attention to detail make him so very unique in today’s healthcare environment. We are grateful everyday for Dr Margolis - he is, bar none, the very best doctor there is.
Went there to have dressings changed on stitches I had gotten out of state. Staff very helpful, got treated in 10 minutes or so by a very pleasant and professional nurse. Later returned to have stitches removed, and again a short wait, treatment this time by a medical doctor who obviously knew what she was doing. I recommend this place for emergency or routine medical care.
Horrible and offensive staff. They should not be allowed to practice. Denying medical service to a senior citizen in emergency should be qualified as malpractice. Despite of willingness to pay out of pocket even before service, they outright denied to even look at my mothers injuries. the front desk lady even added Michigan state law says we can deny service to anyone without reason. Take her somewhere else.
DONT GO TO URGENT CARE!!!!!! Zero stars really. Took my 90 yr. old mom up there with an injury after a fall. Called ahead 5 min. or so to ask which entrance to use, as my mom can barely walk. Get there, get my mom in, front desk informs me there is no Urgent Care because there is NO DOCTOR! Like that is an acceptable situation. I had just called and they couldnt have told me that over the phone?? HOW CAN THERE BE AN URGENT CARE WITHOUT A DOCTOR?
Absolutely no organization or clear instruction to the mobile testing site. Sat in line for an hour just to be told we were not registered and it would be another hour. No signage regarding registering. You’d think they’d want this easy to test as many people as possible, yet not a single sign or instruction.
Worst medical care facility I have ever been to. No value for time. Went for a scheduled routine physical check up and waited for 1 and half hour and came out without doing my check up as the front desk person said that the doctor is still not done with the previous patient. My appointment was at 4 pm and I was there until 5:30pm. Very very disappointed!
Took my Asthmatic child who was weezing already only to find out the doctor did not treat children. I would think an urgent care would be reguarded in the standards of a ER when it comes to ages. Whats the point if they cant help everyone who has non emergency issues. My family will never return. Also it should have been posted on the web site warning of this being an issue.
After returning from my trip from Washington DC I had an slip my lips and needed them to be checked out. I had been here once before so I figured Id stop in get checked out to see what can be done to fix my problem. Upon giving my ID and medical information and after taking all my information having me fill out information I Was told that I could not be seen by their doctor because I needed the switch my primary care doctor to them, absolutely not I told them. This is an emergency walk in clinic that denied me services because I refuse to switch them as my primary care doctor with my insurance how unprofessional.
Absolutely the worst. I called ahead to ask about getting an xray for broken ribs I was put on hold forever so I hung up and called back. The next person to answer was eating and continued to do so for the duration of the call. When I asked her about getting in for an xray she repliedum, today? When I arrived there was no one in the waiting area. They actually called for several people in the waiting room that werent there. I was the only one. Forty five minutes later im still waiting. What a fiasco. Run dont walk from this place.

2022-06-20I been going here for almost 3 years. The Front desk is horrible. I had an appointment at 5pm and I sat there for 45mins and they havent said a word to me until I snapped and asked what was going on. They also told me it would be a half house for them to get to me. I snapped again due to lack of communication could of called me to tell me that he was behind but no call. I love how they want us to be on time and they are never on time. Just frustrated with the service. Needs to do better

2022-08-29I love Dr. Margolis! Hes a terrific doctor; doesnt talk down to me and I always feel comfortable with him. This review is for the rest of the staff including mostly the front desk. I just stayed on hold for 28 min (with only one caller ahead of me) and I had to hang up. Its usually like this. Next, my last appt (3:30pm) I showed up at 3:20 and didnt get seen until 4:15pm. Meanwhile, a patient walks in- gives his Drs name (same as mine) and gets seen 5 min later. Their system, or lack of, needs a lot of help. This is every appt Ive ever had- I am always 10-15 min early, and Im seen easily a half hour after my appt time. Secod, I had to get blood drawn, and the very young man with shaky hands poked me 3 times before saying hell find someone else to try. I have great veins and hate needles, not have I ever had this problem with anyone! I am not trying to bad mouth any specific person- I just think they have a lot of kinks to work out. If you go to this practice- you can trust the doctors, but will wait very long periods while it seems others get in right away. Maybe I should start showing up late because arriving early is an obvious joke to them.

2022-05-31Telemed connection was horrible, they couldnt hear me, then I couldnt hear them. Receptionists are consistently abrupt and rude, no friendliness or kindness. I feel like the appointments just check a box so they can bill me. Of all my Specialists (6) least impressed with Oakland Neurology. Kindness matters. Compassion matters.

2022-09-09Dr. Williams and her staff are great. Just had to wait a long time between procedures. At my second appointment for a checkup, after waiting 45 minutes, I learned there were two patients ahead of me which meant waiting another 45 minutes. This is an unreasonable wait time for an eye check up, and I left and do not plan to return.

2022-09-13This place is terrible. Dr Dobrin is very nice but the office as a whole is bad. My mom is considering finding another physician . They do not respond to prescription renewals or refills timely. This ALWAYS results in multiple calls to the office . Then my mom will run so low they have to call in a weeks supply until she gets the rest by mail order! So disorganized !!

2022-05-11Took about 6 weeks to get an appt w/ my internist. Once there, he answered all my questions. Spent time with me. Didnt rush. Blood was drawn very well. Hardly felt it! There was an issue with sending it to the lab @ HFH, so I has to come in again to get it drawn. Bit of an inconvenience, but not bad. Very helpful and pleasant staff. Bloodwork test results came back very quickly. Next day.Waiting room was not crowded and I was seen in a vert timely manner. Having the updated No More Clipboard is so efficient and helpful! All good!

2022-04-19The worst doctors office Ive ever been to. It took them 3 months to get my medical history from my previous doctor. I had to call them 6 times to attempt to get them on track but ended up doing basically all the work myself. They also wouldnt disclose bloodwork results to me until I had a second appointment, which is something Ive not dealt with from any other doctor Ive ever been to. Overall, it was an exhausting and horrible experience.

2022-08-05Very cold staff and The wait times are horrible. After several appointments, my average wait time to even see the doctor is over 40 minutes. Very disrespectful to patients. You’re just a number and a ATM for them. Staff is very rude.

2022-09-22This is NOT an urgent care even though there is a big red sign stating that it is. When asked if there was one on the property, I was told there hadn’t been one since the start of COVID. You have had 2 years to take that sign down. This is misleading, harmful, and dangerous.
