Roma Pizza in other cities:
My family and I have ordered from here several times and today was the best yet. I order the sub sandwich and sometimes its really good sometimes its ok but tonight it was the best sandwich I have ever had from here. We also order a large pepperoni pizza and it was hot and really good when delivered. We also had it delivered by one of our favorite delivery guys in bridgman and it was earlier than expected. Unfortunately we dont know his name but he is always the kindest, friendliest and most out going one that delivers to our house. Overall food and service was amazing today and there is nothing I would change. I just wish service and food quality was always like today.
Food was decent. Service left something to be desired. Wait staff didnt seem to care much and forgot food orders as well as drink orders. Appetizers were served with the main course, which was odd. There was only one other couple at the restaurant when we were there. So it wasnt busy. But, to be fair, we did have 12 people in our party. I more than likely wouldnt go back again.
This place is ridiculous. I have tried to give this place way too many chances because as far as pizza goes, there’s nothing else to order around this town. I have ordered pizza multiple times only to get a pizza not cooked thoroughly. I have spoken to management about this and nothing has been done. Once again, tried to give them another chance and ordered pizza. Waited for 2 HOURS to get our pizza delivered. Once again, it was not cooked all the way through and they didn’t include the extras we asked and paid for. Digiorno frozen pizza is 100x better than this clump of dough they call “pizza.” Do not eat here!
Service was so ridiculously slow I was beginning to think someone was playing a prank on us. The food was not great, either. Pizza was probably the best of what our group ordered, but that’s not saying much. We ordered some baked pasta dishes as well as the pizza turnover, all of which were ok but not great, but we ate them because we were starving at this point after the lengthy wait. The minestrone soup was just gross. Prices were way too high considering the portions and the quality of food.
I had driven to the wrong place on accident. But they were willing to make my pizza and wings within 15 minutes. If I didnt already have order called in I would have ordered there for sure. It smelt a lot more enjoyable then what I ended up with. Being a truck driver makes it hard to find a good easy spot to eat at with a 53 ft trailer. But they were right off the highway and plenty of area to drive thru. Will definitely mark on maps as a favorite so I can at least try the pizza!!!!
I eat here maybe once every few months I am a local and familiar with their menu. This past order I received was absolutely terrible. Food quality was poor I ordered a 14 in Philly steak sandwich it was bone dry and very short/skimpy. I took a pic but can’t figure out how to post in on here. Sandwich was 11.5 inches supposed to be 14. Emailed them to let them handle the situation and over a week went by still have no response. Plenty of better food in the area than this place
Renting an Airbnb in Sawyer for the weekend. Hadnt done much research prior, so was shocked to open up my food delivery apps and see that there are absolutely none of those services here! Roma Pizza to the rescue. We got spaghetti and garlic bread, plus a couple salads. Excellent spaghetti with meat sauce, almost as good as moms home made. The salads were fresh and crisp. House vinaigrette dressing was creamy and tangy. They delivered much faster than was stated on the phone, which was a nice surprise. We didnt mind the way the garlic bread was wrapped up, the cheese is toasted into the top of bread so it all stays together well.
Waited 40 minutes for kids pasta...got it home to feed my kids..they started eating and my 1 year old starts crying. Obviously she cant tell me whats wrong so I asked my 4 year old if it was too hot for him, he said no and kept eating. A few minutes later he starts sticking his tongue out making a gesture that he needs water. I tasted it after that and it tasted like super spicy pepper. Too spicy for any child to eat. A couple months ago I called and ordered a pizza...a hour goes by so I call them and ask if its on the way soon...they said sorry were closed and then started laughing but put me on hold . I hung up and went somewhere else to eat. Extremely disappointed with romas here in town.
A couple friends and I decided to try out Roma’s Pizza for the first time yesterday. We all got food poisoning soon after eating here. I don’t know what they put in the mushroom pizza but it is literally coming out undigested and we’ve all been horribly sick to our stomachs.
My first time here and the food was fantastic! My only gripe is I ordered a full cheesesteak sandwich, no fries no drink and it cost $17.xx out the door to go! Looking back at their menu, I could have ordered their most expensive 16 combo pizza for almost the same amount of money and had leftovers. Thats just not right IMO
Ok pizza but wont answer the phone at all when they are busy. Like just tell me you cant deliver to me... not answering the phone makes it seem like you are not in business anymore. Its bad business. Hopefully you can be straight forward with potential customers from now on.Edit: yeah, avoid this place.
We have been going to this restaurant for years every time we go to the dunes in July. This year we called ahead to order our pizza and give them a chance to get tables ready. We were told they could not serve our group and wouldn’t even make our pizzas to go. (We were going to order six pizzas) We had to go to another restaurant. Very disappointed in this restaurant and their customer serves. We will never go back there and now the other restaurant will get our business
Tastes great but a disaster experience. My pizza was 20 min late for pickup. Then one was sent out to delivery to someone’s house. While I waited 40min for a new one to be cooked watched another customer get the wrong delivery (my pizza). Strangely Roma wanted it back.Anyway, Roma made it right. The food as good, I recommend the pan pizza.
Ok, so Romas has never been my or my families favorite pizza. It was just always an EH for us. Not bad, not great.Today though after a 6 month or so hiatus from ordering from them we got a couple large pizzas and WOW. Whatever changes you guys made, keep it up. These were 2 of the best pizzas weve had in quite a long time. Before I give 5 stars I want to order once or twice more to make sure this wasnt just a fluke. But it this is the new normal for what Romas makes, then kudos to you and keep up the good work!
If you care about customer service, do not come here. They got our delivery order wrong, said we could keep the order and they would return our money to us, but when talking to the owner after seeing I still haven’t gotten a refund a week later, he decided to not honor what was said to us. They lost our business and our families business.
I wish I had good news the pizza was hot the crust was a thin crust pizza and the center of the crust is doughy that means only one thing that the pizza ovens are not hot enough. I always say to myself lets try somebody elses Pizza they cant screw it up but that was a bad pie. I gave you two stars only for the friendly service of your two hostesses one being trained and one teaching her how to fill out the order form right. Turn up the heat in the ovens my visit was at 6:15 p.m. so you know the ovens should be hot and scorched pot but when youre eating out doughy Pizza things cant be good. Maybe the P to cook needs to go back to the internet and see how real Pizza is made. I stopped there because thinking it was not going to be a bad pie and I had worked all day out of state in Indiana I was coming up the Red Arrow Highway. I had to look at one more job in New Buffalo please turn up the ovens if youre trying to make pizza....
I just enjoyed a fabulous, traditional American breakfast here. Carmela our waitress was delightful. Small town atmosphere. I marveled as I watched her greet customers by name and recite their orders from memory. That says a lot about return customers, great food, and great service.
This review is based solely on the service. The food was fantastic. Unfortunately, the negative experience began with the preorder phone call before stepping into the restaurant. The waitress argued with is about asking for our pizza to be cut into squares even though we come to this establishment every year. Apparently this conversation was so trying that she felt the need to complain about it after we had been seated. To be able to enjoy the meal that we had ordered we had to offer to cut the pizza ourselves. Graciously she complied. But instead of simply honoring our simple request the waitress felt the need to reiterate that the cook was not happy and that they would refuse to do it next time. On top of this, we had to grab our own plates and the table next to us went behind the counter to fill their own drinks. Instead of focusing on the patrons her attention was focused on cleaning up to leave right away. I understand it is Sunday, I understand that you want to go home, but do you not understand that you are getting paid for our patronage?
The pizza is always good, tho its thin crust. We have taken it out many times. They have all the toppings I like.Tonight I had the Italian beef sandwich. Its one of the best Ive ever had.Our waitress Natalie was the best. She got the orders right and kept our drinks full.Easy to see, on Red Arrow Highway just north of the red light.----------Tonights server, Andy, was polite, quick, and personable😊.The Italian beef was ok. The garlic toast had little garlic. The ravioli was ok. Not our best trip to this restaurant. Not speaking just of my own, but dont forget to like reviews and photos you like. This helps the reviewer.
October, 2017. We had 3 different styles of pizza and they were all very good. Fresh ingredients baked together the right way. We had an all-meat, some sort of deluxe combination and a 3rd pizza had 3 different toppings. Its not overpriced artisan pizza. Its good American pizza at a reasonable price.
Would have given them a $200+ order, but their customer service over the phone is HORRIBLE. The woman who worked with us was very rude to the president of our company who tried to make the order, so he went to Pizza Hut and received great service and friendly people. Their pizza may be great, but we wont buy it if the people trying to sell it act poorly to their customers.
I went with a group and everyone loved what they ordered. Heres a few items we ordered. First of all if you order a large Chef Salad, be aware its Huge! With tons of Italian type toppings. Someone ordered her usual, Spaghetti and the plate was almost overflowing, and she loved the pizza shaped bread that comes with it. I tried something different, two side dishes. I got Fries and a link of Italian Sausage, about 9 long and smothered in a tasty meaty Marinara sauce. It was SO good I got two more orders to-go to take home for my family to try.
We enjoy breakfast there every Sunday, Carmella and all the staff make the meal an enjoyable experience. Their pizza is the Very best, beats everyones.I have a concern one of the staff today went on a tyrant about wearing a mask, not sure the help follows the rules will we be back.Maybe the 500.00fine might make them to require facemasks on their employees
I have ordered from Romas many times, to the same address many times for the past 3 years. I ordered and the wait was 45mins-1hr, reasonable as its Friday July 3rd. 1 1/2 hours I called to see whats going on with my order. I was told that my food was either out for delivery or next. Waited another 30 Mins as we only live 15 mins away, to see whats going on. Apparently, they dont deliver to my address and they said they tried to call but I never received a call. Mind you, Ive ordered from here many times and have had food delivered to my address they claim not to deliver to. It was unfortunate but they will no longer be getting our business.
Food was great! waiter was nice and polite! Place was clean! but need more workers we waited to be sitted and then waited to get our menus. There was only one waiter on duty. But going to this Pizza place is a yearly, ritual for my family and I. When we are up in that area.
My family ordered from Roma’s last week, as we have at least once a week for years, lots of times more. On this occasion our toppings weren’t right, and the crust was burnt. We called, Pricilla told us to bring it back. We reminded her it would take us almost an hour to bring it back, get a new pizza, and get back home. If I wanted to wait another hour for dinner I would have ordered then. She said she’d credit me the topping on our next visit. This is UNACCEPTABLE customer service. We’ve only complained like 1 time in 10 years. It’s not like it’s a habit. She should have replaced the entire order next time.Since our business is unappreciated we will be going to Villa Nova from now on, they are closer, and just as tasty, they are just newer and we were in the habit of going where we always had in the past. I will also be sure to pass the word that you are no longer concerned with retaining longtime customers, and encourage everyone else to go elsewhere as well.
This pizza is very good! The service is great here, especially the folks that serve in the morning. In addition, we ordered many pizzas for my wifes birthday and Romas had them done to perfection in a jiffy. However, they boast nothing about getting their ingredients from farmers who have organic practices.
Good food but inconsistent end result. Pizza toppings wrong, ovens not swept consistently leaving burnt cornmeal on the bottom, pizza undercooked leaving mushy dough, cheese not melted inside a PTO etc. Like I said great food when made right, need more quality control and would be 5 stars no doubt!
The fact we waited 40 mins for our pizza and garlic bread and when I opened the package with garlic bread we had no sauce on the side. I called back and the lady was VERY RUDE!!! Saying I never ordered it, when later on she explain that I did they just forgot but said I could wait 40 mins for the next delivery. So I disconnected the call and then called back and asked for a manager. She claims SHE WAS THE MANAGER. THIS IS VERY UNCALLED FOR AND FOR SOMEONE THAT ORDERS THERE WEEKLY AND GIVE BUISNESS WE WILL GO ELSE WHERE!
Best place to go for morning coffee and to talk. But the pizza is what there known for but dont let that stop you because they also have a lot of other things on the menu only down fall there is a open top like salad bar thats not too Appealing to me but the employees are really helpful for helping you make a decision.

2022-04-20I would love to know how this is categorized as double meat. Whats worse... this was a meal for a trucker. These people deserve decent customer satisfaction. Dont go here my trucker friends. They will tell you this is a double meat sandwich and be snide about it. Boo!

2022-06-04Ordered their pizza pocket (10 pizza crust filled with your choice of fillings, folded over and baked). Sauce was runny and turned bottom soggy. Cold in the middle and doughy. Top crust hard, just the opposite of bottom. Cheesy garlic bread was really good. Be a while before I go back.

2022-06-10My wife and I had a pizza from here a while back and the crust was burned, so I wrote the store and told them we wouldnt be back. The owner or manager wrote back apologizing and said it was too bad that we decided not to try again because they would have made it right. Well, a couple of weeks ago, we decided to try it again. I looked at the bottom of the crust before I left and it wasnt burned. When I got home, a couple of pieces were okay, but most of the rest of it tasted like the dough wasnt completely done! So much for trying them again! New Buffalo Roma pizza was a lot better when we tried it last week!

2022-05-25Went to Roma for first time pizza was delicious. Cheesy bread was a surprise, had a staple in it. Called to let them know was told was having a problem with stapler that they were using on the bags. Owner did not ask if I was ok, but I did tell him I was going to be okay. Even though did cut my mouth , had recent teeth extractions, staple cut fresh wounds. Not Good. They promised a credit to my card have not received as yet, would think would honor due to seriousness. Could of happened to a child would have been a major injury. Lets hope they care enough to take care of this issue.

2022-03-13WAS my favorite pizza in Berrien County. Last two visits including tonight were very disappointing. Freezing inside and they have changed the sauce and now have changed the crust making a frozen Digiorno pizza 10 times better. So disappointed. Romas was the only pizza I would eat crust and all and tonights crust was the worst. Service was great and I happily gave her her tip. Wish I didnt have to pay for that terrible pizza but wont make that mistake again.

The pizza dough is fantastic - just the right texture, crisp, and flavor. Their toppings are always fresh as well.If youre looking for great pizza in Bridgman (or surrounding areas), this is the place!
