I recently got some plumbing replacements for my shower as well as a garbage disposal install from Rooter MD. I must say, the service was fantastic! Both John C. and Alex were honest, knowledgeable, professional and courteous. Even their office assistant, Courtney, was outstanding when I spoke with her on the phone. I would highly recommend them and will continue to use them in the future.
I am so grateful to Rooter MD. I called them and was able to get same day service. Even more, they worked around my schedule for service. The guys were extremely knowledgeable and kind and fixed the issue quickly. Ill definitely use Rooter MD again for our homes plumbing needs!
Dan came out to our home and replaces the leaking hose spigot that was soldered in on our sprinkler system. He gave me a price range for the repair based on what might happen and need to be done. I was pleasantly pleased when he finished within 30 minutes with the repair done. Could not have been more pleased with their professionalism and attention to doing things right. I recommend these folks and will use them again for my plumbing needs.Ed Pokriefka6/17/2020
Had a leaky water heater that we knew had to be replaced. (it was older than the warranted time)We got an appointment the morning after we called.Dan came out, took a look and had a new one in place within hours. He also gave us a good run through of using it. He left the area neat and tidy and was careful transporting the tanks through the house. The dispatcher was friendly and helpful about ensuring we had the repair done timely, as we were up against a time crunch when wed be available to be home for the repair.Satisfied and wed definitely call them if we need plumbing service in the future.
I was pleased last year with Rooter MDs service and I was pleased again this year. Earlier this week I received an email containing discount information. If I had the furnace tuned up by Sept. 25, I would get 25% off the regular price. Sounds good to me!Its now 2018 and I had Rooter MD back again, this time for a new toilet. Joe did a great job and were pleased with the new Kohler.Dec 2020-- Just had new kitchen faucet installed. Works great. Very pleased with service.
They do all of my heating and cooling and plumping. As a single parent it is often very hard to find a place that will accommodate your schedule but they always do. Very neat, timely, friendly and respectful, I can honestly say I have never had a difficult time with any of their employees. I had previously used other plumbers but Rooter MD has been the most prompt and thorough firm. I recommend their heating cooling and plumbing yearly checkups, they never mind teaching me what to look for and simple fixes. Highly recommended.
My experience with Mr. Sean F. Currie the RooterMD Plumbing Boiler Professional Technician, was an excellent one. He did a superb job fixing two leaks in the steam line of the boiler; he remove and replace all the parts as he promised. He was prompt and accurate, and the customer service was also excellent with an open communication that informed and explained all that I needed to be aware of. RooterMD Plumbing Technician fixed both my leaks and heating problems quickly and accurately with a reasonable price.Because I am a member of Angie List, they wave the Service Call Charge. I will let them continue working in my house to fix other plumbing problems, and I will also recommend them to friends and family members.
I had a great experience with Rooter MD. I contracted them for scoping the sewer lines for my home inspection. Pete was very professional and knowledgeable. He completed the sewer scope very quickly but did a thorough job. The sewer scoping was recorded and made available to me after the appointment. Pete also went the extra mile and gave me additional insight, outside of the scope, about drainage, foundation and other plumbing related issues that I should check for my home inspection. I planning to utilize Rooter MD again.I would definitely recommend using Rooter MD for your plumbing and heating needs.
I had a minor issue scheduling with this company and I was less than happy but the next morning I recieved a very pleasant phone call from a male representative (owner or manager maybe) and he was so nice and got everything in order and they were back out in no time. Not only did they send someone right out the job was done very efficiently, the tech was nice and explained everything thoroughly and everything seems to be working great! thank you! and thanks for making it right thats what I call good customer care.
I had a problem with my sewer backing up. I spoke with Lyle and made an appointment to have him run a camera thru the pipe and see what the problem was. I had scaling on the inside of the cast iron and calcification on all of the sewer joints. While the crew was removing all of the scale, they discovered that I had a long piece of lead inside of the pipe that had been there since the house was built. They were able to remove most of it initially but had to return with a different cutter to remove all of it. Lyle had fabricated a different cutter to accomplish the job. They all did a great job!! Very professional and efficient!! I would wholly recommend them for any and all plumbing problems. Thank you Bob S.
The call to RooterMD was pleasant. The person who answered the phone was very good. They dispatched Marshall to my home the same day. To say he was professional and pleasant would be an understatement. He knew exactly what I was looking for based on my earlier call do I did not have to re-explain much. He took his time and did not rush the visit. Before the work work was done, I knew I would be using this company again. He made me feel like whether it was all of the work or the one project it was all important. He fixed the kitchen sink and made it almost new. This had to be the best experience I have ever had with a service call. I felt like he was my personal serviceman. I have a number of projects left in my home and RooterMD will be my company of choice. All of this from checking Angies List first!!!
I like working with Rooter MD. This time they figured out where the toilet was leaking and stopped the leak for now. Since I am choosing to replace the toilet, we discussed options. I will be purchasing the toilet and they will come back to do the install. Jeremy was professional and stopped the leak. I appreciate that he and Kevin answered all the questions I had.
I have used Rooter MD a few times on two houses and called again to help on a repetitive main drain problem. They brought the hydro jet machine expecting to use it but after running their camera through the drain(s) did not find any big issues. The home was built in 1955 and the builders put backwater valves in the main drains. Rooter found the valve was stuck 90% closed and worked for awhile to get it opened. Bingo! Havent had a problem since (April 2018). I grew up in this house and remember the drain being a problem for decades. These guys found the problem in about an hour that other plumbers missed.I made a down payment for the hydro jet machine. Rooter refunded my payment minus the charges for work performed. Thank you!
Another great experience with Rooter MD. Mike spent over an hour investigating the cause of a foul, musty odor in our laundry room and basement--suspects because we were gone most of the summer that the sewer traps dried out, allowing sewer gas into the house--weve been here 23 years, no one ever told before you need to make sure to pour water down the traps every 2 months! 7 years ago Rooter saved us from tearing apart our entire kitchen to get at a leak in a pipe in the wall behind the lower cabinets--they were able to create an access panel in the wall of the adjacent dining room and fish a new PVC pipe through it to replace the leaky old cast iron one--2 other companies told us to file an insurance claim for thousands and be without a kitchen for 2 months and we had just put in new counter tops. Rooter MD fixed it for less than what the deductible would have cost! Weve had our main sewer line water scoped and jetted for tree roots twice by them, always a great job and they clean up like they were never here. Love you guys!
I was very pleased with John C’s work. He arrived on time, provided an estimate and started the work of removing the old water heater. John replaced our water heater and installed a new vent during one of the hottest days we have ever experienced in September… with no complaints. Based on the service we received, we will be going to RooterMD for all our future plumbing needs.
We have used this company before and will continue to do so. They are professional, reliable, and do great quality work. They just came out to solve our flooded basement, ended up snaking our drains, and when our sump pump failed later that night, John, the same technician from the morning, rushed back out and installed a new one. They really bring a peace of mind during a crisis. Thank you!
Id like to thank Pete and the guys at Rooter MD. I found them thanks to the other reviews Id read and Im glad we chose them. We needed our main line snaked and we requested a camera inspection. Pete was able to recommend the Hydro Jetting process just based on his knowledge of the area before he had his team come out. We were able to make the decision that will ultimately save us money in the future.... we recommend this process and Rooter MD to anyone.... since anything to do with plumbing is costly, be sure you are clear on what the service includes and how much it will cost for additional time if necessary. Thanks Rooter MD.... definition of professional.
Our business called Rooter MD with an urgent need as we were having a drain system back up. They indicated the best they could do was to get here later in the day or after hours. Instead they were able to adjust schedules and arrived in just over an hour. Pete identified the problem and explained all of our options. His high degree of professionalism was appreciated by our entire team.
My experience with Rooter is always great. I use them for all my plumbing and heating/cooling. Alex was great, punctual on time and nice. Denise and Charlotte are always nice in calling and seeing when im available. Keep up the good work.I have to add my review on John C. John was very knowledgeable and friendly and we engaged in good conversation. Please let him know the recommendation and correctuon he did made the sewer smell in the bathroom disappear. We love the work u all do for us and we will continue to be loyal customers. Thanks to the ladies in the office as wrll.
We had 3 different techs come out, Joe, Jeff, and Lyle, and all were exceptionally helpful. Our main drain kept clogging and spewing back sewer water into our basement. We already had plumbers from other companies come out and assess the issue, but all of them just snaked and immediately said we had clay pipes, they were broken, and we needed to pay almost $10,000 to get them redone and dig up the yard to do it. The techs from Rooter MD took their time though. They had to come out multiple times, which I felt bad about, but they truly took their time, snaked a bunch of times, ran the camera, and didnt give up until they figured out what the issue was. Found out our pipes are cast iron and only the pipes near the city line are clay. Also found out the issue was tree roots coming in at the joints of those clay pipes, and that we can get them jetted out and re-line, all for WAY less than what it costs to tear up everything. Needless to say I will definitely be calling Rooter MD for any future problems. The techs are great, the dispatcher, Charlotte, that would contact me was incredibly friendly, they even worked with explaining the issues to my parents who dont live in this home but own it and wanted to know the details. Honestly do not even bother with other companies. You will get rude service and be cheated out of your money.
Have a tankless water heater which two other plumbing companies had told me needed to be replaced. Pete came out and told us he thought it just needed to be cleaned, not replaced. That was the problem. Dan and Quentin came out the next day to clean and it works like new again. Thank you Dan and Quentin for the great service. They have made a customer for life. Honesty, integrity and great customer service are the most important qualities of a business and this company has them all.
Mike Cooper was just simply amazing!!! My wife and I were supposed to leave Sunday Morning for a New York vacation but our toilet wouldnt flush and water was coming up the bathtub. We didnt know what to do and knew it would be next to impossible to get someone out on a Sunday. We called about 5 places with no success!! Then we called Rooter MD and the lady took our number and said a tech would call us. About 10 mins later Mike called and said he was finishing up a job and would be over right after. From description he said he would have to pull toilet and snake. When he got to the house he looked under the sink and said he could snake through those pipes and save us $125!! He was in and out in an hour and everything was back to normal... Mike was a super nice guy and extremely knowledgeable. Next time we need anything plumbing related we will be calling Rooter MD first and asking for Mike... Thank you so much Mike!!!
I am very happy with the work performed by Scott. He cleared our sewer line of tree roots (of which there were lots) and was overall efficient and friendly. Couple things that detract a bit. Nothing that would give me any pause recommending RooterMD, but things to know.I found out about Rooter MD on Angies List, where they had a $99 coupon for a drain cleaning with Hydro Jetting. This included a camera view of our pipe. I called and requested this and was told (a couple times) that the price STARTED at $99 and went up from there. I knew right then that meant I would be paying more. The question was how much. When Scott arrived he informed us that it would be $250. This was about what I expected to pay for this service anyway so I said yes. He did a good job and Im glad I did it. I just dont know what the 99$ deal was about. Seems like it was never even considered for me. We were also never contacted about the camera view of our pipe. Since that was handled by a different crew it couldnt be done that day.All in all, I will use Rooter MD again.
AWESOME EXPERIENCE!!Had a different plumbing complany come to look at our pipes because water was backing up from the drain pipe(hole). He put a camera down the pipe and said it was collapsed. We called Rooter MD and they came out said it was just roots!! They came at the time frame they said they would be. Very respectful men. They answer every question I had and explained everything to me to where I could understand. They were very professional but also made you feel comfortable talking to them. You can just tell the way they talked and the way they worked they wanted to make sure the job was done right and the problem was fixed for us. They definitely arent just trying to take you for a ride with your money. They seemed to really care about helping people out the best way they can. Would recommend them to anyone.
Jeff was very friendly, professional and knowledgable about his job. I would definitely recommend him. I had issues with my sump pump as the check valve was broken and it was spraying water in the laundry room. This happened on a weekend and the service cost was very high for a plumber to come on a weekend. Other than that, the service was really good.
Often with an in-home service business there is something missing. Sometimes it is the knowledge and skill, sometimes the care and concern the worker shows for the home. Sometimes the language and sometimes courtesy. I must tell you Rooter MD Plumbing and Heating nailed everyone with John. I give my highest recommendation to both the company and tech. Also not to forget the gal at dispatch who called in advance to confirm the job and expected arrival time. I had john do three different plumbing jobs for us. No it was not cheap but I was looking for the jobs to be done right. These guys are professionals and they are worth what they charge.Bob And Bev Davis
Morris came out to my home today he was very nice and respectful wore booties to protect my carpet which I appreciated. I just had a loose nut under my bathtub, that’s why it was leaking. Anyway he was supposed to charge me a higher amount but I spoke to the owner and we worked out a compromise, he was a very polite, respectful guy. I am very pleased would definitely call again
Long story short make sure you get multiple quotes before deciding to use this company, and a second plumbing company coming out to try open the drain saved me big time.I had RooterMD come out for a blockage in my main sewer line that was causing slow drainage. They came out and cleared the line for a reasonable fee. 2 months later the problem happened again this time it was worse, they came out again under warranty and tried unsuccessfully to re-clear the line. They then offered to come out and put a camera down the line in order to come up and quote a solution for a permanent fix. They put the camera down but because of the water filled pipe could not see the exact problem. They recommended digging up and repairing the blockage. The quote for that was 3 times what I thought it should be, Ive had main lines dug up and replaced before and this price was very high. I called for a few other quotes and one of the plumbers asked who I had try to clear the blockage and suggested I have someone else try to clear it. I remembered RooterMDs tech said that he didnt know if someone else could clear the line but he couldnt with his equipment, so I called another plumber. The new plumber I called was able to clear the blockage. My cost for having pipes that drain went from $4,800 down to $150.edit* The drain eventually did fail permanently about 6 months after the clean out in the exact place as the other times it clogged. Price to repair was $1,100 well below Rooter MDs $4800.
Other than personally going through some financial woes and not able to really afford the work needed, John/Rooter MD were awesome! He was very thorough in his inspection and discovered 2 different gas leaks, which werent really detectable by smell. He was very informative in what needed to be done, and was quick to complete the work. I had 110% confidence and trust in him to know what was needed. Plus, he was just a really cool guy too.
Dan and Clarence responded to my request for A/C inspection and installation of new kitchen faucet. They were courteous, personable and professional.. The tasks were performed quickly and efficiently. Team members such as they, are why we have relied on RooterMD for plumbing and HVAC issues all these years.
I had a flooded basement, a clogged drain system from a snowmelt, rain, roots and silt buildup.Rooter MD sent a technitian to jet the drain on the day I had the issue and I was thankful of the prompt dispatch. However, the first tech they sent could not get the pipe to drain. The next morning, Rooter MD sent an owner of the company and a helper. Both of them spent 5 hours thoroughly jet, drain and clean the site. The owner explained with a camera the cause of the issue and recommended couple of solutions for the future, never once a pushy solicitation. They put on boot covers upon arrival, closed the door every time they went in and out the door. I have dogs and cats and really appreated the attention paid on details. I have a dry basement within a day, thank you, Rooter MD!
I have been using Rooter MD Plumbing & Heating ever since I met the owner in a marketing class in 2009. Pete and his crew are the most dedicated, honest, professional plumbers I have ever met. All the costs are spelled out up front in writing before they start the work and they wear shoe covers and clean up their mess and ask if you are entirely satisfied before leaving. Pete saved us thousands from having to destroy our brand new kitchen re-do by figuring out a way to remove a leaking pipe in a wall without having to take everything out and cut into the wall--he made an access through an adjacent wall in the dining room and was able to replace the pipe and you cant even tell where the wall was cut.
Reposting my review from December...Joe was very prompt and did an amazing job! My basement was flooded.Everyone in the office including the General Manager were very nice and efficient. I have recommended RooterMD to anyone Ive talked to about plumbing issues from day one of dealing with the company!
I called RooterMD because they had good online reviews. The first job they came out for was done good enough and the guys that came out were professional and pleasant. Unfortunately, by the end of it I was second guessing my choice in companies. While they were writing up the job they randomly asked to look at my furnace, which had been working perfectly. They told me it was close to being shot and needed to be replaced soon. The quote they gave me seemed ridiculously high, and I was suspicious as to why they would even mention it. In the meantime, I had them coming out the next day for another issue and the man that came immediately was asking about my water heater (completely unrelated to what he was there for). He asked me a few questions about it and told me I probably need a new one. This was another red flag. That day I requested new furnace quotes from several other companies. All but one quoted me for nearly HALF what RooterMD was quoting me for. The company I ended up going with took a look at my water heater as I had asked them to, and they told me it did NOT need to be replaced yet. While the guys at RooterMD are nice enough and professional, they seem to be a complete rip off and will try to sell you on something else every time they come out. I highly suggest looking into other companies and getting multiple quotes before going with RooterMD. You could be saving yourself a lot of money in the end by going elsewhere!
They started out good. I made an appointment to have a gas line replaced. They were to busy to send a service person out, but someone did come out to assess the job, give us a quote and ensure the service person would have the right parts and rescheduled. They rescheduled and when the service guy showed up - he didnt have the right parts! So then we rescheduled again - but we couldnt wait another week so they scheduled us for Monday night saying they would waive the emergency service call fee. So Monday comes and they call and say they didnt want to come out because it was late. BUT THEY MADE THE APPOINTMENT! Then they said they would come out with the emergency service call fee.In the end we used Best1 Rooter - which was cheaper, the guy did the job on schedule the first time, was very friendly, and thorough.
Very disappointed with how they handled our sump pump job. They charged us $480 to put in a new pump a little more than two years ago. At that time, they also asked for $200 to clean the pipes, which we declined.A couple of days back, the float switch on the pump failed within the warranty period, and they asked for over $300 to do the replacement job that takes hardly 15 min.We declined, knowing that we would forfeit the chance to get a warranty replacement pump, and went with another company to put in a new pump.Need to be careful to not get scammed.
I called Rooter MD late in the afternoon thinking that I would have to schedule something after hours or another day. I had a sewer backup in my basement and they surprisingly came out within two hours after I called. They were able to snake out the clogged line which had some large roots and got us out of a big jam. They came out again two days later to perform a jet cleaning. They were prompt, professional and courteous. I would use them again without hesitation.
We had a backup affecting our downstairs bathroom and laundry room drain. Mike came on short notice to clear it out. He was very professional and took the time to make sure job was done right, which included fixing previous, sub-par repairs to the toilet performed by someone else. I would highly recommend Mike/Rooter MD!
If you don’t want to read the whole review I will summarize in a few sentences. Rooter MD is completely untrustworthy. They took advantage of my family and charged us OVER 3 times the industry standard for a diagnostic and drain pipe flush. I was told by my insurance company that they were committing insurance fraud. I was told by another service provide that what they were doing ‘is just not right’. So if you want to employ a company that takes advantage of people, is dishonest, and over charges, then this is the company for you.First, some background on our unusual situation. We initially contracted a service company to assess the issue of a backed up drain. They flushed the drain pipe to achieve water floor, but could not fully inspect the pipe due to a blockage or break. After contacting my insurance company, they suggested we have American Leak Detection to perform an inspection/diagnostic.They assessed the condition of the pipe and listed either a drain pipe break or pipe separation as the issue. Since American Leak Detection does not perform services outside of diagnostics, they suggested a few companies, one of which was Rooter MD.Rooter MD sent a proposal for work to complete (1) diagnostic work to locate broken drain, (2) open basement floor to replace the pipe, and (3) replace to patch grade the basement floor. My husband and I accepted the proposal and paid a 50% deposit in the amount of $1594.50. Two workers arrived and during the diagnostic assessment determined that in fact broken pipe was not the issue, but that the pipe was blocked. The workers removed debris using high-powered water flush, but no floor brake, pipe replacement, or floor replacement was performed. They completed their work in 3 hours and provided me with a receipt saying ‘the $1594.50 deposit covered the work they performed’. They asked me to sign the receipt to indicate/confirm that they performed the work listed on the receipt (listed items were the diagnostic and pipe clean out) so I obliged. After calling the office to discuss adjusting the bill I was told that the $1594.50 fee was what they charge for “a half days work”. I called 3 different companies to get proposals on pricing for the diagnostic and flushing and the typical range is $450-550. Rooter MD is unethically price gouging the services performed and they were unwilling to work with me on the price. My insurance did cover a portion of the services, but my insurance company also said that Rooter MD was obviously committing insurance fraud.
Jason arrived on time and fully explained all of the services to be provided. He offered options for each service. Work was done competently and efficiently. Jason made sure to explain what he did and cleaned his work space before leaving. We had a furnace inspection, dryer vent replacement, sewer drain snaking to the city main, and replaced the water main turn off to our home.
I purchased a sump pump maintenance from Angies list that included cleaning the screen, vacuuming out the pit, flushing the line and replacing the check valve. When the tech arrived she said she wasnt allowed to service my type of sump pump because it is in the floor and is covered. I pulled the plug so that she could see inside and she confirmed that she wasnt allowed to work on it and recommended that I contact Angies List for a refund. I did mention to the lady on the phone that the pump was running continuously and that it is over 12 years old. No work was performed and RooterMD issued a refund through Angies List.
They wanted almost $500.00 just to give an estimate. But they had an Angies list discount, If I ordered the work I would only need to pay the $89.00 fee for showing up and $99.00 for the estimate plus the cost of the work. If they made the estimate and did not buy the job it would be almost $500.00. I was only asking to have an old water softener remove and replaced with a new one that I own.
This place ripped us off. They came to snake a drain and could not do it. Then they charged us more to bring in a different machine which also could not do it. They then charged us even more to send a camera down the pipe. They told us that there was a broken pipe under the kitchen floor and proposed $2000 to dig up the floor and fix 5 feet of pipe. That sounded way too high so I did it my self. Problem was, after I tore up the concrete floor and exposed all the pipe there was NO broken pipe. I called Roto Rooter to come in and snake the drain and 15 minutes later the pipe was clear. So I had NO broken pipe, a concrete floor all torn up, Dust every where and a tile job ahead of me all because they could not do their job. $2500 in damage plus the $600 I paid them for doing nothing. Correction, I paid them $600 to send me in the wrong direction. AND they would not refund my $600.
If you want to be charged a $99 diagnostic fee for a plumber to come out and say they cant fix your toilet, call these people. If you want to be denied a refund for a month for a toilet you paid a deposit on, but was never installed, call these people. If you want to be charged $25 for every time you call to ask about the status of this refund, call these people. If you want to be told that the accountant of the company youre talking to frequently forgets to issue refunds and frequently refunds the wrong amount, call these people. If you want to pay someone who claims to be a plumber, but actually has no ability to fix the simplest plumbing problems, call these people. If you dont want any of these things, call someone else.
Shane spent many hours doing incredibly detailed work, replacing worn and out-of-code fixtures and pipes in both kitchen sink and bathroom sink, plus locating and repairing a small leak from the bathtub! The work was completely professionally done, and pleasing to see as well. And the clean-up afterward was very thorough and complete. It is an enormous relief to have the problems which existed so professionally taken care of!
Got a second opinion and most of the recommendations made by this company seemed primarily to get me to spend more money - changing out hardware that was perfectly fine and not connected to the piece that failed, saying there were leaks where there was old water damage but no moisture, etc. Was able to fix myself (with a little help) what they were going to charge over $2k for. I wont be contacting this company again nor would I recommend them to anyone.
Denise was pleasant and efficient. Scott explained things thoroughly, quoted the price following his assessment of the problem, got the job done quickly, was extremely professional, and was very kind to our dog that made a real nuisance of himself through the process. I recommend this firm without hesitation.
Terrible service. on the phone, they said they work with wall hung toilets, turns out that is not the case, plumber said i would never put one in. spent about ten minutes looking at parts, charged full service fee, noted he would find parts and call back. that was more than two weeks ago. if you dont know how to work with certain fixtures, just say so. dont just skate off with an inflated service fee and never get back in touch with the customer. will never call this shop again.
RooterMD did great work after addressing their initial errors and redoing our entire sewer line. Pete was very honest and addressed the issues we were having after the initial dig, which had to be done under terrible conditions, such as water in the trench and severe muddiness. The walls of the trench were collapsing, and the initial dig left bad pitch in the line. After the second dig, they regraded our yard very nicely. The workers were polite and answered all my questions. They even saved my gardens, which were in the way of the digging machine. I would recommend RooterMD. Pete, the owner, came out twice during the dig to oversee things. We have good flow now, and no water appears to be in the line anymore.
Wow! What a Fabulous Experence! I could tell when Charlotte picked up the phone, I had called the right company. She was professional and knowledgeable from the onset. She told me that the first availabitlity would be the next morning, but if they received a cancellation, she would call me back. I was happinly surprised that I received a call and Joe and Clarence showed up that afternoon at 430pm. Joe and Clarence were very knowledgeable and friendly. The service was impeccable! They helped me clear boxes to get to the main line. Just the best customer service Ive received in a long time! We will be calling RooterMD for all our future Plumbing/Heating/AC needs!!! :) Thanks again Joe and Clarence!!!(Rooter MD)!
This place is too high. I called yesterday and the lady Chesley said its $90 for them to wire my thermostat that I have of my own to the furnace . She told me theyll be out at 8am the next day. So today They came at 9:30am. The guy told me he couldnt do it today and its $59 for a service fee and tried to charge me $345 for a job that takes less than 20 minutes to do and I have my own everything. They tried to get over . I then called back and the lady Chesley answered and I explained how I wasnt going to pay and how they waste my time and she then tried connecting me to her manager but the phone hung up. Dont waste your money.
Jeff was great! He figured out what was wrong almost immediately. Ive had another company out for the same problem, and they didnt completely fix it. (Had a clog in the basement under the cement) After he was done he did a good job cleaning up the area. So far so good. No more sewage smell. Their pricing isnt the lowest. But Id rather pay a bit more and have it done right.
After being away from home a few days, I came home to an anxious wife. She was battling water, bubbling up around the foundation of the house. After calling around, and discovering how few plumbers deal with sump pump problems, RooterMD came to our immediate rescue. Joe came out, within hours, assessed the problem and took care of it right away. Joe was professional and friendly. He explained clearly what was needed and executed the job efficiently. Thank you, RooterMD!!
I was very impressed with the company and Chuck in particular. His knowledge and skills found a solution to our problem less complicated than we initially thought. I was also pleased with the introduction to the company and problem assessment from Pete. Scheduling our visit was problematic because of our situation, but it came off as scheduled. Thank you for getting us working again.
They have $39 sump pump cleanup special I took. I know its a small amount but the cleanup is not done to its perfection as advertised. I expected that they take the mud completely out but I found some mud still left in the pit after the service lady left. She did not care to pay attention. For the money I should have bought the wet vaccume and do it my self. Will not use them again.
Stay away- they are very dangerous- improperly installed (twice before realizing their error) a natural gas water heater in a home that only has propane. Luckily no harm - this time- but realize the water heater states to use the proper gas- danger of harm including death. Please be aware that they took the old water heater out - so they should have known the type of gas (plus drove right pass the big outside LP tank multiple times) There are a lot of other issues but this was the most disturbing
I would not trust this company to have any work done unless you want a couple things. 1. For them to hem and haw about oh I dunno if I can do it, might not be possible.... Oh yeah you know I can do it. playing on your ignorance. 2. For them to take over an hour just to write up a quote, wasting your time. 3. For them to think that $217 an hour is a reasonable cost. 4. For them to extort you out of $59 since thats the cost to have them even grace you with their presence after they show you the quote for the work you want done that you will turn down because youre a reasonable and sane person, unlike the operators of this company. Your time and money are better spent with a different company.
I was serviced the same day I called. The crew was professional and courteous and made me feel much better about the situation I was having. I was fixed in an hour and it was nice to be told the truth and have a company not try to take me over the coals. Thank you so much for taking care of me
I was pleasantly surprised with Roto-Rooter. The guys were awesome- punctual, knowledgable, & honest. They tell you what you need & when you need it. If there are any problems, they will come back immediately. They communicate well & make sure you understand everything that is going to happen...
Denise on the phone was rude and hung up on me after I asked too many questions stating so your just price shopping... WOW. Questions that customers should ask before hiring a contractor. Reading some of their other recent reviews it seems like this company that has gone downhill and are just seeking money. Pay a bit extra elsewhere and get better service.
Jeff did a great job in fixing the water leak in the basement. We needed a technician ASAP and the customer service agent made proper arrangement and sent the technician as soon as I requested.Jeff was knowledgeable, was able to quickly identify the issue and fixed it in no time. Thanks to the crew.
I really had a very bad experience today for these reasons: 1. They send someone that didnt do the job yesterday, because I wake up today having the same problem2. They took 59$by mistake, because the one they send didnt know3.when I called this morning to ask about if they can come back to check the problem, the girl on the phone I was talking to let the manager spy on my talking, I was surprised that he started to scream and when I started taking to stop him he told if you dont stop talking ill hang on the phone and he did I was really shocked that a manager do this4. As he told me he is the manager, he was rude and disrespectful .Imagine a manager hang on the phone on you ,because your asking them to finish there work----- Update 2/14/2018I asked another plumber to come and check the toilette, he immediately asked to remove the toilette to check if there is anything stuck, and he found the kids had dropped a small toy and it was stuck, after removing the toy, the toilette is working perfectly now, and he charged us only $80, while you guys charged us $200 and did not even try to find the root cause, and instead asked us to replace the toilette and pay about $700!!!!The manager -Brayan-, you have no rights to spy on my phone call while I was talking to your secretary, interpreting me while I was talking, and threatening me to close the phone, and then close the phone, and not refunding me my money, or listen to me when you failed to solve a known problem, this behavior is not professional and I am sure your team and employees will feel ashamed of that.

2022-07-05My first plumbing choice was a no show. The price including labor was 90 dollars cheaper. They also offered a guarantee on their work. I was desperate and went with Rooter MD. They were prompt and professional. The job was to repair or replace a clean out drain stop. They did not have the part. They had left and returned quickly with a makeshift part. They said they couldnt provide a guarantee. The part is working so far. New customers get 10% off. It is not noted on the invoice. Im giving this a incomplete so far. It was definitely a leap of faith transaction.

2022-01-29I cant say enough about Jeremys performance yesterday! He was not only on time and professional, but very personable and easy to work with. He explained everything and we felt very comfortable with his service and having him in our home. Not a job I would like to do and Im happy that there are guys like Jeremy available. Thank you!!

2022-02-13So thankful for the team being thorough, i.e.-Aya quarterbacking on the phones-John and Caden cabling multiple drains, cleaning up the unavoidable spills, adjusting billing after a half-day of unsuccessful diagnosis of my [old/patchwork/unusual houses tricky problem]-Lyle scoping a second drain for free, because his equipment was out for repair and delayed my fix by a weekAnother of their teams declared victory prematurely after snaking a drain and not inspecting for ice, but Id gladly call in the above squad again!

2020-06-04I called with the impression I would be dealing with a reputable company. I diagnosed and explained the problem over the phone. Pipe connection came a loose and the strainer in kitchen needed some putty. Daniel had audacity to say to putti the strainer $400 and to connect the pipe $99 =$499 for less than 10 min of work. When I told him I was familiar with the charge and that is insane, he calls his boss. His boss says charge her $99. I over heard Daniel say Ill get her on the back end. In other words he only seal the strainer for $99 and try to charge me more to connect it to the rest of the pipe. Who calls and pays a plumber to leave with a leak. He then he trys to write a contract that say he looked at the problemNothing stating a fix. He finally fixed all for $99 it took him 8 min. Buyer be CAUTIOUS. THESE PEOPLE ARE SWINDLERS. I will never use them again

2021-10-13UPDATE** I am updating this review from a 1 to 4 star.. The GM Brian personally reached out to me after reading this review to make things right. He reassured me this is not how they do business (unintentionally break things without fixing). He had their insurance company reach out to us and are compensating for the broken machine. I truly appreciate a business owner who prides themselves on their reputation and corrects issues like the one we had and doesn’t just say “oh well, too bad.”We called out the plumber because our drain was clogged. They showed up and fixed the problem but in doing so they broke our washing machine. They ran all of our faucets and washing machine nonstop for hours while fixing the drain clog.. never explained why they needed to waste all that water. The next day we went to wash clothes and the spin cycle was broken.. we hadn’t had any issues with the washing machine beforehand. I called and told the receptionist that we believe the plumbers damaged our washing machine while running it nonstop for hours and she said “they didn’t do it intentionally and we can’t fix that.”

2020-10-31I used this company to have the sewer lines of a house I am buying cleaned out before having a scope done. First off, they have great flexibility and availability! The price was reasonable as well. I am a first time home buyer with not much knowledge of any of this, and they did not try to rip me off at all. They made sure to understand what I was looking to have done before starting any type of expensive job. The man who came out was very professional and honest. The next company who came out to perform the scope said Rooter MD did a very good job, and that he would be referring his clients to them!

2021-11-10I called them for a water heater service and they responded super fast. Had a little bit issue with the service they provided later but the owner called me back to follow up in person couple of times and got the issue resolved. This is a company really care about the customer experience. For that, I give it. 5 start.

2021-03-12Exceptional work ethics, well mannered, respectful and above all knowledgeable! Second time they were at my house. First time was to unplug sewer lines. This time to fix my old boiler furnance that had water all over my basement floor. It was accomplished with the removal of rusty old parts and a mass effort and strength to remove. I am deeply grateful to their repairmen who go above and beyond satisfying the homeowners. They will be my go to call for future help.

2021-06-28Guys were punctual, professional and did a good job. Our drain spout was so corroded they had to carry out the old tank still 1/3 full! Overall happy with the work. Price was marginally high, but not unfair considering they showed up quickly and clearly worked hard.

2021-02-02We were having issues with our bathroom sink not draining. We called these guys and they came out the next day, looked at the problem and let us know our options and cost. They were very knowledgeable and explained what they thought the issue was, fixed it and were out of here in an hour. Nice guys, will definitely use them again and will highly recommend!
