Comment: The worst experience EVER!. Believe the reviews on Roseville Kia and dont waste your time. First, the cars were dirty, one 2021 Kia Sportage had a smell in the car, and was not clean at all. Then they pulled around another one, and that car was not clean either. The finance folks are a joke, $700 dollars a month on a used car with 30k miles on it. Omari was the only reason I even entertained buying a car from this company. He was amazing, but Chad and the finance team should be ashamed of themselves. As I was sitting and doing an application on one car they allowed another salesman to have his clients also put in an application for the same car. The salesman didnt even ask if I was going to buy the car. He had his clients type on his laptop to get their application in. The judgement is real! While I watch the finance team cater to the other clients, they didnt even ask me twice. Then Im explaining to Chad what I am witnessing but I can bet he did nothing about it. Its sad. Ill be sure to buy elsewhere where I am not judged and people on a finance team really care about the experience.I wasnt going to leave a review but the company keeps sending me messages so here you go.

I had a horrible sales experience with Christian Hurtado, Chad Matz, Christian Costello, and Veng Vue.Sales mgrs Hurtado, Vue, and Matz and the finance mgr. Costello told us the following:We informed all sales managers that we had our own financing with a 6.5% interest rate; however Hurtado, Vue, Matz, and Costello told us in order to receive the $7,500 Kia incentive, we’d have to use Kia Finance America. We later found out our lienholder was B of A, not Kia Finance AmericaManagers said the purchase of the LoJack tracker was required to purchase the car.Managers submitted the customer satisfaction survey without our authorization.Managers told us in order for a smooth loan process, it was better to use our mailing address rather than our physical address since our driver’s license listed our mailing address. This resulted in an increased sales tax and delay in submitting our clean energy rebate application.Managers initially offered us a 8.99% interest rate with a 84-month term even though our FICO score was over 800Mr. Costello submitted our loan applications to several credit unions that required a membership or Sacramento residency. We received denial letters stating we failed to meet their criteria. In my opinion, this reckless submission illustrates Mr. Costello’s lack of oversight.Roseville Kia included in our sales package a “cheat sheet” directing customers on how to respond to survey questions on their customer sales experience.

This is our second Kia (have had Toyotas, BMW’s, Audi’s, Chevy’s, Nissans) because we loved our first Kia so much and (I’m not kidding when I say) the customer service is just about equal to the service we receive at BMW but with less cost. I’m hoping I love my new Kia Carnival as much as I loved my Kia Sedona (I miss that minivan and probably should have held on to it longer). Thank you Arthur for all your help & patience with me.

That kind of up selling will not bring back customers. The lease ends next June and you’ll get a cherry vehicle with about 16,500 miles and have lost a new car buyer opportunity

Comment: I leased a car here in 2020 and had a 5 star experience. So of course, I went back to lease another vehicle in 2024 and things have changed since its under New Management. They kept trying to sell me a car with add ons, secondly, I asked for particular lease figures and they kept bringing me back a worksheet with different terms. Worst of all, the sales manager said that Kia requires a minimum down payment, which is a blatant lie and has no idea how leases work. This was my 5th lease and its best not to put anything down because most leases include gap insurance (read the fine print in the newest Kia Lease Guide, Section 101; Why Lease: GAP waiver benefits are included in all Kia FinanceAmerica leases at no additional cost). Went to a different Kia dealership, got the car I wanted with no add-ons and you guessed it, no money down.

During the appointment, the service was more than satisfactory … they got the vehicle done in a timely manner, the receptionist was very informative in keeping me updated on the vehicle, and they had directed me to different places within walking distance to either sit, relax, and wait or go grab a bite to eat. I had been to another local Kia dealership in the area previously for recall work … and was very unimpressed with the level of service from the service team at the location. Roseville Kia, has earned my trust and a gained a new customer.

Comment: Error with caution the sales people are extremely aggressive with their sales tactics. They had myself & family there for almost 8hrs. I basically bought a Lemon. Purchased a 2016 Ford F150 with 92k on the dash. So I bought it because it was within my budget, fast forward 6 months after said purchase & the motor blew, then they said would not take the truck back & tried to offer a whole different loan on a completely “new vehicle” . In which would have left me with 2 different loans Red flag! I had no warranty offered since it was a used vehicle & sold “as is”. They did not want to help with the cost to replace the motor. I would not recommend buying a used vehicle from Roseville Kia that is not a Kia. Lesson learned on my end. I wound up having to come out of pocket with 10k for a brand new OEM 0 mile crate engine (Labor & additional parts included). One of the sales managers sent me business appreciation text for purchasing the vehicle. I let him know what wound up happening with the motor & the dude said “it sounds like you won with the new motor”. I think anybody would agree that having to replace a motor 6 months after purchasing from a dealership isn’t necessarily a “Win”.

Comment: Sold me a used car that has been in the shop 6 times within the first year of owning it. Spent 12,000 dollars in repairs so far. Kia refuses to help out. I spoke with the Manager Christian, he told me they would help, reduce fees, etc. and then had me look at other cars for a couple of hours. We filled out paperwork and then he sent a salesman into the room to tell me there was nothing they could do. Terrible place to do business.My fault for buying a used car, but there should definitely be some standards for which cars they sell.Do yourself a favor and buy your car anywhere else.

Comment: This was an appt at KIA Roseville to replace the hydronic control unit (recall item) on my KIA 2014 Sorrento. I avoided KIA Folsom intentionally. The recall appt took about 2 hours, because they also did a multi-point inspection, as standard procedure. I was glad they did, because I needed oil big time, and they warned me that my two front tires are less than 2/32 of an inch. KIA’s are known for using oil, and I had not stayed on top of that. Although I got the oil change and tires replaced elsewhere, I am grateful that they brought this to my attention. And Thank You for the free car wash!The only major problem I’ve had with my KIA is the pearl white paint. I’ve had it repainted in different sections 3x’s since 2020.Thanks California!

Comment: I was dissatisfied. I was there on the 1st of April 2024, because on the top of the car the driver side stripping came off after every time I get a car wash. So the service dept was going to order a part for it. I never received a call from there about my part for the car if it arrived or not. So I called in May, they stop said they haven’t received it yet. So a few weeks go by and I called again and nothing. The person that received my called was great. Then a few days later I get a called the my part was there and scheduled appointment for the 1st of June to have it fix. My appointment was at 2pm I was happy because the part was finally there. BUT!!! after about 45 min later the receptionist came to the lobby where I was waiting to inform me that the part was sent back because supposedly it’s been there for some time. I was upset because of the lack of communication between the service department and the receptionist are not in clue. Still today I have not gotten my part for the car. Still waiting. I was wonder maybe you should just give me a new car. This is not what I expected from Kia. I talk highly about Roseville Kia and my car. But that about to change. I’m not happy!!!

Comment: If I could pick no starts I would. They are happy to sell you a vehicle but when it comes to fixing issues they are no help. Car went into the shop and I heard nothing from anyone, was told my technician was out of office with no word of what was wrong with my car, can’t even tell you how many times I called and was sent to leave a message, or I would get a call back and then was told they were too busy because of memorial weekend. I had to show up on a day I worked using my boyfriend’s vehicle since my car had been there for a week in a half just to get answers. Talked to over 3 people until the 4th person who was Trampus. He is the only person who actually listened and was apologetic to the whole situation and told me what was going on with my vehicle. He was able to give me answers and my car fixed in one day, after it being there for 2 weeks. I give Trampus Bettencourt 5 stars as for everything and everyone else I briefly talked to no. Horrible customer service, but grateful for Trampus.

Comment: Called 4/29 left a message that I need an appt. Got a call back on 5/2, I was scheduled for a ($250) diagnosis @ 7am on 5/21. Waited 5 hours and was told my transmission oil was a little dirty so they coded it yellow and I needed to buy a new gas cap, that was why my check engine light was on is what they told me. The purpose of me bringing in my car was because I’m about to hit 100,000 miles and I have an extended warranty. Yesterday 5/23 my check engine light is back on, and now I’m 100 miles from reaching 100,000. Called today 5/24 and am scheduled for 7am tomorrow for another diagnosis even though they done typically do that on Saturdays. So we’ll see how this goes. I don’t like being played for a fool cause I’m a female. And I dont like having to bring my car all the way back only 4 days later for the same issue.

Which I found surprising. My service writer was sufficient, mostly pleasant, but didnt go out of his way to be nice. The waiting room inside the dealership is extremely basic, and the chairs are completely worn out and uncomfortable. The waiting area was noisy and cluttered with small toys and car accessory items. The waiting area was not comfortable and I had to keep getting up because the seats were all uncomfortable. The service was completed, very expensive for basic service. I have never been a client there, so I would have expected a more welcoming space or price to keep me coming back. I will however not go back to this dealership unless absolutely necessary. I do not recommend this dealership for service. I guess the basic service was completely correctly and honestly. I would have hoped for a basic wash but nothing was offered either. I only went to this dealership specifically for the recall item, otherwise I would not have had service here. And I certainly now would not return there for service.

They are always sending me plenty of reminders before the scheduled time so that I dont forget it very good with Communications that way.One thing Ive noticed is the technicians apparently are not real careful about refilling the oil after its drained because when I get home I notice that theres a little bit too much oil on the dipstick above the full mark. I also noticed a hubcap was not fully snapped onto the rim.But I always have to make sure I tell them up front not to put in windshield washer fluid or gas treatment or air filters because they charge extra for that and I dont need it because I do that myself for much less money.Overall the experience was pleasant and comfortable, padded furniture and a place to plug in my computer while I used their Wi-Fi.I used the coupon online for $10 off.

Comment: I was going to leave well enough alone but kia roseville keeps bugging me to send a review, so here it is. First, the sorrento they sold me brand new 7 months ago is 9k dollars under water. They offered to buy it back for 23k, which is 14k less than what I owe. I guess this is how much they think about their own product. Took it in for its first service and on the way there my car lost all its coolant. I informed them of this and eventually they recommended replacing the radiator for just under 1500 dollars. I decided I would just buy the radiator and put it in myself, because it wasnt covered under the warranty, and Im not willing to pay someone a thousand dollars to do what I can do myself. I went to pay for the oil change and they said it was $330? They wanted to charge me 220 dollars to diagnose my radiator problem. I dont think its fair to charge someone to just agree with them. I went in telling them the problem. They did wave the charge and my oil change was only $120. I went to the parts counter to buy the radiator and the guy said they didnt have one in stock? Weird because they were just going to replace the radiator for 1500. I had my car towed from kia roseville and I left. I didnt believe they didnt have a radiator so I called back later and just asked for it over the phone. The guy said he had to check to see if he had one in stock. He came back to the phone and said yes he had one and would hold it in will call for me. What? I drove back and went to the parts counter asking why they lied to me? The guy said his manager didnt want to sell the radiator to me because I had choice words with him about the inferior product I was sold. I ended up buying it and installing it in about 4 hours. I found a piece of porcelain in the bumper that came through the radiator and caused the damage. The reason is because the size of the openings on the bottom of the front facade. They are so big that the radiator and the ac condenser are completely exposed to road. I recommend changing the design because this will be more and more common. Any kia sorrento owners out there that have had to replace their radiator? I went out and bought a fine mesh metal screen and lined the inside of the plastic bumper so nothing can errintley fly in and take out the radiator or God forbid the ac condenser. I implore everyone that reads this to never buy a kia product, and for some reason you have to, dont go to kia roseville. They will sell you an inferior product that will be overpriced and holds no value while you own it. There you kia, you got your review. I am a manager in customer service and have been for years, so I have some knowledge here. I think what they did is illegal (per FTC), and there were several people involved (i.e. Abel Ceballos, Matt Heneberry, Jessica, and Sherrey, to name a few. They threatened send me to collection saying I owed money on a trade in, but Abel and Matt specifically said I owed nothing (I asked NUMEROUS times). They lied and said LoJack comes with the vehicle, along with a few other extras. I called Kia headquarters and they admitted that I was lied to but they cannot do anything as dealerships operate independently. They only tell truth by omission. They will purposely leave info out with the mindset that you didnt ask, so I wont tell. I tried to get the extras off and fight the 300.00 collections issue, but I was ignored, hung up on, passed on to numerous people, told the managers were not available or would call back (never would). They also stiffed me on 50.00 gift card promo. I never received 2 gift cards that I was owed. So the owe me over 400.00. I went into the dealership recently March 2024, and heard them do the same tactics to other shoppers, lying, trapping customers in the building, harassing them, it was AWFUL. Trust me, they will say anything to get a car sale. They will start off with high prices and add unnecessary fees (which is illegal in some cases, look up FTC dealer rules about fees). They treated me less than human and they should be ashamed. They harassed me via text and voicemails, etc. Again, trust me, stay away from Roseville Kia!

Furthermore I continue to get harassed by the sales rep after going In after being told I can trade in the vehicle they sold me I do not recommend this place to anyone looking for honesty about vehicles. My extended warranty didnt want to honor my warranty because they found a loop hole ( make sure you keep all your receipts when getting an oil change from anyone) but the warranty was still good. The young lady at customer service ( I think her name was Bianca. If not I apologize. I forget names) she was very kind and extremely helpful. My warranty was honored and I received a new motor. Comment: Drove almost 2hrs to this location, specifically since they had a couple cars available that I was interested in. As soon as I pulled in I was greeted by salesman RB, and quickly we were in a car test driving. After a test drive with RB, and later salesman Jadon, I was in the Kia branch looking at some numbers. Once I narrowed it down, it was a battle to get the car at the cost I wanted, but low and behold with the help of Christian & Abel, we were able to come to an agreement. Steven from financial made the process even faster and more comfortable, reassuring me this was definitely a great choice of a dealership to come to. Comment: Extremely horrible service. Yesterday, I had my 2017 Kia Sorento car serviced in this location. The lady in the service center had no clue in explaining the issues found during service. Whats the point of having someone as service representative who dosent know or have knowledge on car issues. They were so hurry in closing the service center and dint answer any of the concerns I have. Today again my car engine light is on and is cranking on. Tested if battery is an issue and apparently it is not according to battery plus after they ran few tests. So we are relying on them (kia service center) to debug the issue and paying premium for it and they are delivering zero results and poor service. All they did was oil change and charged bomb for it. I could have got that elsewhere. I would caution everyone to not use their service and save your money going elsewhere like Midas.

Their website advertises ‘never wait more than 60 minutes for an oil change, tire rotation & multi point inspection’ so I went ahead and scheduled an appt & decided to just wait for the vehicle since it wouldn’t take long. I got a brand new EV-6 and the Apple Car Play isn’t working, so it’s ridiculous that I have this super high tech car and I can’t even speak on my cell hands free. I’ve brought this up to them several times and they either don’t return phone calls or have no availability to take my car in. I used to have a Chrysler Pacifica and was able to schedule service online very easily . Here at this Kia you have to call the service department and they never answer. It’s pulling teeth to get anybody on the phone when you need help with your vehicle. I’m honestly regretting getting my car, as cool as it is, because of the people at Kia. I wouldn’t recommend this location to anyone.

Comment: I received a notice of a recall part that needed replaced. I called down to Kia and scheduled an appointment for two weeks out to have the part replaced. When I arrived, I was told that if they didn’t have the part on hand, they would have to order it And I’d have to come back to have it replaced. I asked why if you knew I was coming in didn’t you order it then so it could be replaced and I wouldn’t have to make another trip down from Auburn. I was told they don’t keep that part on hand because if I didn’t keep the appointment, then they’d have parts in the back that aren’t being used and my response was so now you’ve inconvenienced me by making me come down to tell me to go home and I’ll need to come back when you have the part, this is very poor Customer Service. And the person helping me said, well we have to inspect the car to make sure it meets the qualifications for the recall and once again, my response was I received a letter and you can look up my records since I bought the car there and tell what my car is and needed, I’m extremely frustrated at this inconvenience!

Comment: I had an appointment at Roseville Kia service department to look at a sunroof problem. When I made the appointment they informed me I had a recall for the back camera mounting bracket. They said they would take care of that at the same appointment. They said I needed to leave my car there for the day. I dropped it off and was called 2 1/2 hours later saying the car was ready. When I picked it up they said they identified my car as being in the recall and would order the part. I would be called in about 2 weeks to bring it BACK IN. The appointment could take up to 2 hours. I don’t even understand this process. If you knew I had a recall why would you not have had the part ordered and ready to install at this appointment? I had to wait 2 weeks for this appointment. I feel Kia thinks nothing of the inconvenience this causes. Not a happy customer.

Comment: This review is for Joy Sanders in the service department. There is never a bad experience with joys outstanding customer service. Every time I schedule my maintenance or diagnosis appointments I always request joy because she is the definition of ABOVE AND BEYOND! Questions, concerns, she will always get you an answer, go over everything in detail, and make sure that everything is understood and never leave you hanging. It’s always a joy to work with Joy, she definitely lives up to her name and I guarantee if you have her handle your vehicle needs you will also share the same experience!

Comment: I was very pleased in my purchasing process. I worked with Cameron in buying an EV for commuting purposes. I found him to be pleasant, transparent and a very reasonable negotiator. He listened to my family needs and earned my trust. Steven in the finance department was outstanding as well. He made the doc signing phase enjoyable with his great personality. Comment: Had my Soul towed there and they took it in as what they called an emergency tow drop off. I worked with John who was efficient and he told me it would be about a week for them to look at it because they were busy and I didn’t have an appointment which I understood and fortunately, I have a second vehicle. They had my Soul ready to go home in a week which was wonderful! Overall a great experience.

I have a 15 month old and I am pregnant with twins so we needed to upgrade the size of our car and he was very helpful. He even got me Taco Bell to eat while we were finalizing everything! Comment: I LOVED my experience at Roseville Kia. I went in with less than perfect credit, nervous, and unsure I was going to get a much needed car. Austin was my sales rep and he spent half the day with me showing me all the best & feasible options for me. He was so patient, funny, and very pleasant energy to be around. Most of all he made me feel comfortable and he genuinely cared about my situation. My financing options didn’t look so good and I thought I had no choice but to admit defeat and leave, but as I was just about to leave, Dan the Finance Manager worked a MIRACLE for me last minute and I got approved! I couldn’t believe it. DAN IS THE MAN! I really needed this car to take care of my elderly friend, and they made it happen! THANK YOU AUSTIN AND DAN! I can’t thank you enough! Highly recommend!

Comment: I love my Wolf Grey 2023 Kia Sorento SX with light grey interior. I think the sales reps and finance staff did a wonderful job of selling this SUV. Theres so many options in this Sorento that you feel like youre in a luxurious car. 10 out of 10 for the Roseville Kia Dealership and there staff. I will definitely go back in the future.

Comment: What was going as a horrible day my roommate suggest I go to Kia. I only knew horror stories about Kia’s but hesitantly I went. The sales person Philip was very nice and understood where I was coming from. I loved my Toyota. Phillip however had talked me into a test drive of a new Sportage. In comparison to the RAV4 it’s absolutely a total upgrade. However the only model that comes with the smart cruse control is the “Prestige”That was a huge selling point for me and I really didnt know what to do.I reached out to the team at Kia, spoke with Arturo in finance first. He suggested I call and speak to Christian.I reached out to Phillip and he said he would look into it.I called and spoke to Christian and he sympathized with me. And allowed me to come and allowed me to come and get the car I wanted!I am truly grateful for the team at Roseville Kia! And I absolutely love my new Kia!
