Comment: My experience with Rushmore Servicing, has been a nightmare. I find them to be incompetent on many levels; it’s not easy to speak with a representative, the system keeps you in a hoop. Supposedly, my loan had been transferred or handoff to another Rushmore Company. My credit history is no longer being reported to the credit bureau agencies as of September 2023. Currently, Rushmore shows my mortgage paid in full, which is incorrect. Their reporting is incorrect or no reporting. Upon, calling them, I received information that I had not received on previous calls. I’ve researched contacting the federal agency Thirft. I’ve submitted to the credit bureaus for investigation… wondering if it’s possible for class action for incorrect, incompetent behavior…🧐

Comment: Stay as far away from this mortgage company as you can They don’t/won’t help you in any way and you’ll spend hrs on the phone just trying to rectify anything! I had the misfortune of being sold to them in the middle of a big insurance loss and it’s been a nightmareThey’re holding my insurance money hostage and I can’t repair my homeI have also now discovered they paid my taxes twice. NY Taxes so we’re not talking about couple of hundred $ either. I finally threatened to sue them, and pull all the $ out of the account that they were pulling the mortgage out of if they didn’t release me $ to start fixing my home before I lost my contractor! Then and only then did they finally send a small portion, enough to start the repairs on a 1/4 million $ claim…. Best part? They sold my mortgage promptly after doing so which was nothing but a blessing! The new mortgage company sent me more $ within 5 weeks! 5 weeks! Unbelievable…. All I can tell anyone is if you get sold to this company? Refinance a fast as you can THEY S&CK!

Comment: Rushmore is a company that services loans. Unfortunately, they are only interested in rushing you into foreclosure, and DO NOT help you as you get caught up, go through modification or other processes. This company basically gives up on you and assumes you will be foreclosed upon, and rushes your house to auction.This company refused to return my calls. They did not respond when I asked to be escalated to a manager. They continue to send out foreclosure notices even when you are paying on time. Their customer service is horrible. They are completely over the phone and do not allow email communications. They keep you on hold until the cows come home. Stay away if possible.

Comment: They took over servicing of my loan from Wells Fargo. They have to be the most incompetent financing agency ever. Wherever their call center representatives are answer from, they are difficult to understand and could not solve an issue to save their lives. I am very sick of having to call every 2 weeks because they keep sending my payments to undeposited funds instead of applying to the balance due.

Rushmore Loan Mgmt wasnt that great to begin with and now they have transferred their accounts to Rushmore Servicing which I cant say enough bad things about. Trying to get thru to a human is exasperating and when you do, its over seas and very hard to understand the person trying to help. Since my loan was transferred, I have had nothing but problems with the amounts being charged to me, supervisors saying they have fixed the issue, and supervisors saying they will call me back. This company should be shut down!!!!!!!!!!!!

And even though hours of operation are noted, Ive called and the message says The office is closed. This really seems like a sham situation. My grannys loan was discharged in a bk case, yet they (as debt collectors) still expect payment....CAN U SAY CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT??? According to Google, Terry L. After my Parents DIED, and the house was no longer in their name, I was still paying the loan off and could not recieve any help VIA the phone and the web site is not any help and the HOUSE is not even in my name.. Calling the number you get no help what so ever, emails not returned, web site is a joke. This loan has NEVER been late for payment EVER! Wells Fargo sold this sold and NEVER said a word to my Elderly Parents that are not longer with us and have passed, yet this folks do not care and they raised the payment with no communication what so ever. Comment: MAY 2023 UPDATE: ONLY after 5 Months Rushmore move mortgage to Specialized Loan Servicing with a15 Day notice!! PLUS Rush never completed paperwork we submitted. With one exception, returned ANY communications, with them! THEY SIMPLY STINK!THEY ARE NOT BANKS! NO FDIC! No interest on escrow.Servicing companies. represent GREEDY INVESTORS, not you!1/23/2023-100% non-responsive to faxes correspondence and forms that were sent and we received on 12.16.22. Regarding loan changes. No phone calls have ever been returned no fax is aware of the responded to. Now I received a letter saying they didnt get the forms I sent and I have proof of delivery from USPS. In my opinion, these people absolutely suck.October 19, 2022, after receiving a notice from Rushmore I attempted to go online and set up my account which was transferred from truist bank in Georgia. 2 1/2 hours later I still was unable to get the account set up online. After three transfers and finally getting someone stateside, instead of the Philippines, I was able to get some answers to my questions. I am still not registered online and they sent the information to their IT people.Cannot get any worse than Truist already was! Disgusting money grabbing companies.

Comment: I received a very rude notice today that my insurance was going to expire and Rushmore was going to purchase homeowners insurance for me. I called to see what was happening as my insurance has been paid for the past 20 years via escrow disbursement . 15 min on the phone and the agent can’t find my account. I had to pull my federal taxes and get out my 1098 to give the agent my loan number. The agent had no idea why the policy wasn’t paid via my escrow and called my carrier to verify. Unfortunately the office was closed for the day. I was then told to go online and upload my insurance docs for verification. The agent was still on the phone with me when a asked a question about the website which she didn’t know the answer and told me to call my insurance agent in the morning and have my agent call Rushmore to verify and it had to be done first thing because it can take Rushmore 3-15 days to do “something” and I may be charged for insurance via Rushmore. WHAT THE GOD ALMIGHTY…… I paid Rushmore! Rushmore did NOT pay the insurance premium, but I’ll get right on that!!! Can you say REFI?

Comment: I have requested a 1098 several times. I still do not have one to file my taxes. Today the lady tells me she will email again that to me. I wait 10 minutes on the phone and it’s still not there. She also tells me she will send it by fedex and I will have it in 2 days! Taxes are due by the 15th. She stated that since I use gmail that it will take longer! It’s been four hours. My loan was serviced and bought by different company in December. I have that 1098 for the one month servicing with my current company. She told me to login on the Rushmore portal and I told her I already did that and since I’m no longer a customer I can’t get any information. Is this company a joke or what? Do not use them unfortunately I had no control as my first loan I had was amazing and it was sold out of my control. I am beyond frustrated!!!!!!

Comment: Horrible customer service with their escrow/insurance team. I thought changing home insurance plans would be a simple and normal transaction. Absolutely not! It was such a pain talking to their staff that clearly knew nothing about the process - kept putting me on hold or transferring me to the wrong team. They never updated my escrow for my insurance change after acknowledging receipt; premium was paid in full. So, I was essentially over-paying for a while. I complained in writing, with proof, and they just sold my loan immediately after.

If you are able to sign in and have a question, the human responders just use preset responses that barely answer your question if at all. My two biggest problems were: they paid my insurance twice and increased my escrow requirements. It took 6 months to resolve. The other, when we sold our house, I was never reimbursed for the last months automatic payment we made despite being required to pay loan off in full prior to that payment. Now its tax season and I have been locked out of my account and cannot retrieve my 1098.

It took them 3 months after they approved my modification which was a result of my mother dying, to update my account. Then they tell us we are 2 months behind and they only accept the full payment amount but they will take your money and just let it sit in the account. Comment: My loan was bought by them after I refinanced through Embrace Home Loans. I have been fighting with them for the last two months to get my online profile to work so I can pay my mortgage. I have talked to them countless times and have been told over and over they will contact their IT/website department and call me back within a couple hours. I have not received a call back from them. In order to pay my mortgage I have to use the automated phone system which is a pain. Every time I talk to someone on the phone, it is apparent they are not a US based call center. Very disappointed in the service I have received.

They should not be allowed to manage loans. Customer service is completely clueless, and the department that is supposed to be able to help are all talk and no action. Every person dealing with this company regarding my loan despises them. Me, my real estate broker, the escrow company, and the title company all have nothing but negative things to say about them. We sold our house a few weeks ago only to find out Rushmore had not paid our summer tax bill. Now we paid them in escrow to pay the taxes. So where did the money go?? I have called them I have emailed them and no response. So now I had to pay the taxes again so I could close on our house. I have never had a mortgage company treat their clients this bad. Comment: This company, Rushmore recommended GoodMortgage for me to get a equity loan for a piece of equipment I wanted. I’ve been in the process of acquiring a VA loan since 2/2/22.. I have met all the test and inspections and the loan was supposed to be done in 30-45 days at a locked rate starting 2/2/22. It’s not going to get done by this GoodMortgage com. Thanks Rushmore for the bad advice of who you thought I should do Buisness with. Shame on me for not looking up the reviews on GoodMortgage. They are pretty bad. Comment: My mortgage was bought by rushmore from wells fargo 2 yrs ago. I have been trying to resolve an issue with hazard insurance charges on my escrow account placed by rushmore for over 1.5 years. My condo has a blanket policy in place; had faxed it, emailed it, certified mailed it to rushmore only to be told repeatedy it was never received and continued to be charged for their hazard insurance. Finally, over a year later, they confirmed receipt of the policy and claimed they credited, well first I was told the credit went towards the mortgage loan, then I was told it was credited to the escrow account, so not sure if there was a credit applied to either. The customer service reps were not able to show, verify with documentation, where the partial credit was applied. It is not visible in my online account docs/statements. I spent about 4 hours today working to settle this and still...no resolve. No supervisor, who apparently is the only one that can do something about this issue, is available because all of them are in a meeting...and no, I will not hold until they are out of their meeting. We are dealing with a huge investment, asset here. The time and energy I have spent in working to resolve this is unacceptable...for a partial credit bc apparently they did not receive the 2nd blanket condo policy doc...time to contact the BBB and move my mortgage to a competent and professional financial instituation. Any recomendations on that would be greatly appreciated!!! And thank you wells fargo for selling my mortgage to a financial anemic institution.

I will have a panic attack just thinking about calling someone I like. These people refuse to do business via any other means than the phone. Comment: This is one of the worst companies I have ever come across. Please, please stay away. I was one of the unlucky people whose mortgage loan was sold to this company when I recently refinanced. I have had a nightmare of a time. They sent me a letter asking for proof of insurance for my home in August, I called them and gave them the information just a few days later, way before their deadline. They still went ahead and erroneously charged me for insurance claiming I never gave them proof of insurance. They went ahead against my knowledge and purchased a home insurance policy for my home and adjusted my mortgage payment. I called them for a SECOND time and begged to speak to a manager. After being transferred to a coupon hotline, then calling back and being on hold for more than an hour was finally able to get through. I gave the manager proof of insurance and told them this was MY SECOND TIME giving it to them, and I informed them I was purchasing a new home and moving all my insurances in a few weeks to a different company, but there would be no gaps in insurance ever for my home. The manager agreed, said he understood and informed me I would get my money back and my mortgage would go back to normal. Fast forward to now, nothing has happened. To top it off, the new insurance I changed to sent them a copy of my invoice which I paid already in full for a year and this company sent my new insurance company a payment! So now there are 2 payments on that insurance and Rushmore is charging me. They are absolutely clueless and an absolute nightmare to work with. I keep telling them, my INSURANCE has never been part of escrow, I HAVE ALWAYS had insurance and I HAVE ALWAYS PAID MY INSURANCE on that home and I have given you proof multiple times. To be completely honest I thought I was being pranked today. My HELOC was transferred to them, I subsequently used my HELOC balance through Rushmore, and then started paying off in sizeable amounts. One months payment was late by several weeks, due to my not knowing payment wasnt scheduled in their system. Because of the lateness, they suspended my ability to use the account for A YEAR! They said they sent me a letter, but I dont recall ever seeing. I went to use the funds again recently to transfer money to my primary bank and the check bounced due to the account suspension, with my primary bank threatening to close my account over the bounced check. The check had already cleared my bank and I moved some funds around, which created the need to move funds from elsewhere before I was in a major jam. Their website is horrible, they have no ability to transfer funds through their online portal (only by check), and they overdrew on my payments and had to refund me a significant amount. Once you finally do get ahold of someone you either can not hear them or can not understand them or both. Unfortunately my mortgage got bought by this company and it has been headaches ever since. I would suggest stay clear of Rushmore and if they appear to offer something better than another company, don’t fall for it- it will not be worth it in the end.

Then how I wasn’t going to be delinquent as per federal law for the first 60 days of the transfer because they couldn’t except my payments… So immediately they started sending threatening letters I love how if I didn’t pay up right away they were going to foreclose on my house. I don’t trust him. Can’t wait for my creditor to find a more suitable company. I also assume part of their income has to do with the amount of paperwork they send after they lie to a customer. I have more than a ream of paper from them just to tell me a lie. On top of that, for the COVID-19 assistance it all has to be paid back the moment the states open back up according to the website. How is that helping people?

Were all going through a pandemic and the best option they could provide on our mortgage payments was that we didnt need to pay the mortgage for three months... except after the 3 months were over, we would have to pay the ENTIRE 3 months of mortgage and the interest on top of that. Theyre not even pausing on the interest accrual.If a family is having difficulty covering one month of mortgage payments, what makes you think theyre going to magically come up with three months worth of mortgage payments and pay it all off after that? Apparently its the best that they can do. Its tone-deaf, insensitive, and downright patronizing that they dont offer to work with their clients more. You would think there would be some leeway considering many people are having an extremely difficult time covering bills.Will definitely be refinancing after this. Comment: My mortgage was sold to Rushmore just before Covid-19 closed my business. After clicking repeatedly on the same 3 links on their confusing and nearly worthless website, I called. I called for help a total of 6 times - totalling over 6 hours of my time. I was given 4 different options, asked to call another number or call at a later date each time.Finally, I got an email asking me to fill out an application if Covid-19 was hurting me financially. I filled out the application. Here I am a week later, with no response. The voice message only says to fill out the online application.The company is not helpful, doesnt communicate from within, and surely doesnt care about its customers.Ill wind up with ruined credit and homeless by the end of this, thanks to Rushmore.

Comment: This company is terrible and unethical. Do not use them for your loan and if they buy out an existing loan, refinance as soon as you can to get away from them. We have had two incidents of this company failing to send us the information we needed.1. When we tried to remove our PMI, they lied and told us we couldnt, even though under state law we could. When they were called out on this, they claimed they sent us the information we requested but they never did. We had to call them multiple times, and what should have taken less than a month took 3 months. During those 3 months, we continued having to pay the PMI, which resulted in close to $900 additional that we lost as a result of them moving slowly and not wanting to remove it.2. We are currently trying to refinance our loan and go with another loan company. Rushmore has been asked multiple times to send over the payoff amount so they can process the new loan -- by our broker, by the escrow company and by us at least twice. They claim to have faxed it or sent it, but it hasnt arrived. Its been over a month. The loan was supposed to close on April 13th, but because they have failed to get the payoff amount to the escrow company our broker has had to file 2 extensions (the second one we have to pay for). Each time we ask about it, they tell us that they sent the information. They have a letter in the file, but its never actually being sent. Thats the same trick they used when they wanted to stall us on the PMI.I am so fed up with this company. We are trying to refinance and get away from them and we cant even do that because they will not send the payoff amount.DO NOT EVER GO WITH THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE NEGLIGENT AND DOWNRIGHT CRIMINAL.

Comment: Honestly, it is a combination of the way this company operates as compared to how First Bank operated. Rushmore has had my loan for about a year now, and I have never been more miserable.I sent in an escrow difference check to my prior loan management service to keep my escrow down. Apparently that was never transferred and my escrow increased. Not really their fault, but you would think that being a loan management company, they would know what the workings of my escrow, and S.C. tax rates.Unfortunately, neither were the case. My escrow was increased, and now is being increased again because they could not calculate correctly and now my payment is going from manageable to unmanageable. It would not be a big deal, but I was already charged the overage that I already paid, and they still could not get it right.When billing comes, it is always delayed. I usually do not receive my bill until there are 5 days often times less left in the month. When I send in my payment, it often takes the processing center 2 weeks sometimes more to cash my check.Just utter disappointment all around and I would not wish this company on anyone.

This has happened before and the person on the phone at that time physically went in to the receiving dept and had them find my check and process payment. Nobody seems to know whats going on and when Information that was asked was provided, a new request was made for additional info because the requested info was not good enough. Had to stop payment and reissue payment. I was told that I should do automatic debit processing to avoid them not opening their mail and cashing a check.

I was at my wits end at that point and although I know his actions were a taught skill by Rushmore, it worked and I am thankful. Comment: Extremely difficult to work with this company. Ver difficult get things done. I had requested to close our escrow account and pay taxes and insurance on my own. It took over one year of phone calls, letters, faxes and e-mails. The request was granted and then it still took months to confirm it. Each phone call requires a confirmation and re-explanation of what you want to do even though they have it on record. It seems like all of customer service is located in another country (maybe its not but it seems that way because English is not understood nor spoken well. I wouldnt recommend this company to anyone

Comment: At least I can talk to a person instead of a computer. I would never recommend Rushmore for anything. they have a hard time managing mortgages and the escrow it takes for a whole year. My payment started at 873.00 a month, now 6 years later I am at almost 1100.00 dollars a month. every time I call they say its a shortage in your escrow. mind you I also did a new home owners insurance to a savings of 1200$. and Had to call them and tell them, as they were going to keep the extra. Its amazing how they are still in Business. But if nobody questions what they are doing they will just keep doing it. The only good thing about them you do get to talk to a person when you call. There is no way to email or message them after hours so I had to take time off of work just to get the information I needed to be able to pay them. Payments made online sometimes don’t go through even if you get a confirmation number! Will not credit the account!! They are right you are wrong. Best is,I always posted my payments by the last day of the grace period. Wells Fargo had no problem with this but Rushmore will send you a letter every month asking if you want to start foreclosure proceedings on your home. Comment: I am not thrilled with Rushmore Loan Management. They obtained my loan after about one year of home ownership. Issue #1 - you have to pay a $10 additional fee when making phone payment. They may not be the only company that does this, but as they do have people on staff to answer the phone and it takes presumably the same amount of energy I consider this an inconvenience. Issue #2 - their on line website is not intuitive and not easy to use IMO. Almost all my other credit cards etc that have an online portal make it EXTREMELY EASY to make an online payment. Issue #3 - in the past 6 months on 3 separate occasions something (not anything I have done) has happened that has caused my online credentials to require a reset. On 2 of those the reset password type option did not work despite repeated attempts. They required calling in via phone, then multiple verification and too much time IMO. It would have taken almost no additional effort for them to offer a one time no fee phone payment in either of these situations. For me these issues are cause for concern and frustration.

I called Rushmore Loan Management up and spoke to an account representative who was very gracious and friendly and polite and gave me all the information I needed to get my past due loan caught up. I did what he told me to do and he kept in touch with me via phone and email to make sure everything was good to go. I had other questions and I have spoken with other people there and they were just as friendly polite gracious as the first person that I talked to the very first day I called. I would recommend Rushmore Loan Management to anyone who want to do business with them. I my opinion they are good people to do business with. They worked with me and do believe they would with you. I think they are a business with Character. Character is to a person of what motor oil is to a car or what you are in the dark when no one is looking.

Comment: My loan was purchased by Rushmore almost a year ago from Capital One and Im sorely miss the previous company. Every time I have called or messaged Rushmore Ive either gotten the run around or have been given misinformation. I pay bi-weekly on my mortgage and for some reason this throws everything off for them. I cannot access information that I am told is on their site. When I question them they respond that its not there because I pay biweekly. Every month I receive about a half dozen pages of information via snail mail. When Ive requested paperless billing Im told its not available for accounts that pay biweekly. When I called yesterday to request a payoff amount for a year in the future since I have a balloon payment due at that time, after an hour on the phone going back and forth with the representative and asking to speak with a supervisor, I was told that an amortization schedule would need to be ordered for me, I could expect to receive it after April 11 (one month and 7 days after the call), via snail mail. And no, there are no management members available to speak with me.

The phone service is just as bad, its about a 3 minute run through to be able to input the account number then when you finally get to a live INTERNATIONAL person thats not from the U.S. then they go through another round of account number, ss, home address, and then even a registered phone number or they wont let you get to what you need! Comment: Capital One dumped my loan in this garbage pit resembling a late 1990s bank. They do not allow opting-out of selling your personal information. Finally got a gentleman who said I needed another department said for some reason he couldn’t transfer call, gave me another number to call, which I did, that number was a fax number. So I called back had to listen to the same message for another 10 minutes. Finally got a real person who then transferred me to a very snobby lady which hung up on me. So again I called back and again went through all the mess again. Took 2 MONTHS to get a copy of my 10/2018 appraisal, and I got a different [and WRONG!] story every time I called, from both Philippines and Texas customer service: You have to get it from the appraiser, We dont have a copy of that, You have to call your investors, Oh, well send it out [wrong one], I am putting in a work order to have the correct one sent to you, She did the work order correctly, so it should be on its way [never came], Oh, its in archives and just takes a couple extra steps to get, We mailed it 11/28 and it takes 10 business days to receive [never came after 2 weeks], I dont see a copy of that in our imaged documents, Oh, we dont have a copy of that and have to request it from the appraiser but only after you ask us for it [1- how can you not have a copy when you used its info to drop my PMI? You just took their word for it? and 2 - What do you think Ive been doing for the past 2 months? ASKING FOR IT!] and wont have it til 12/21. I opened a complaint case with Fannie Mae, but even that was a weeks-long process. I FINALLY got one competent employee in Texas who found the document and got her managers authorization to get it to me quickly. MOST FRUSTRATING experience with a company that I can remember! Comment: Like most people once you have your mortgage setup it’s out of sight out of mind. That is until you sell your home and payoff the loan or need to speak with someone. Rushmore outsources their customer call center oversees which makes it rather difficult to communicate as well as them having limited abilities to provide simple information such as payoff amount. The website is good with the exception of providing the ability to see a payoff statement once you actually get someone to generate it as the link was consistently down. My fingers are crossed that I receive my escrow funds timely.

Comment: Would give zero stars if I could. Got approved for a $600 loan. Interest was seriously 13.xx% but loan payments were biweekly and $200/ each total of $400/ month for 2 months. Then jumps up to $228 then declines. Total to pay would be nearly $3500. For a $600 loan. Highway robbery from a company that is going to have huge class action coming to them. Dont know who in there right mind would take a loan with those terms. I saw them and ran as fast as I could. Stay away from them, they will pick your pockets clean and even take the lint.

Comment: Leaving one star because leaving zero wasnt an option. First, their website doesnt work, ever. Once you click on documents that should be available to download, all youll get is Were sorry, but an unexpected system error has occurred. We are unable to process your request. The website didnt work when I first signed in when my loan was transferred in May of 2018, and I still was not able to access any documents when I began closing in August 2018. So, I called to get a copy of the letter faxed instead. Theyll apologize to you for their website not working, and suggest you should try again in 24 hours. Laughable. Their website never works. They tell me theyll fax the letter. The following afternoon, my lawyer informs me the letter was never faxed. I called back, and at this point was informed by a customer service agent named Chris that the letter had been generated, but it will take 24-48 hours to send the fax. WHO TAKES 24-48 HOURS TO SEND A FAX? Why wouldnt you inform customers this is your policy when they call, rather than let them sit around and wait for something that has even been sent? Chris even suggested that I push my closing date. I dont think thats an appropriate solution for a customer service agent to offer a customer, and an outright rude response. Chris was able to expedite the letter and send it to a supervisor, the only one on duty 9/7/18, who was unable to fax it immediately or move me to the front of the queue, despite the fact a title company, realtors, two parties and their lawyers were waiting for the document to complete a home closing. Worthless company and horrible customer service. Glad I dont have to deal with them anymore!

I attempted to refinance my loan away from Rushmore and the amount of time i had to request information from the was unbelievable. I had to constantly call up and remind them i need it and they told me they dont remember speaking. i recorded the calls for proof and when shown to the lady she told me there must be some mistake. Comment: Very difficult to deal with. Charged me for insurance on my home that was already covered by State Farm. We refinanced through our local bank and Rushmore wouldnt give our attorney the final closing price for well over a week. Our refinance went from 60 days to 90 days due to their lack of communication with anyone on our end. Three separate times they were asked to that info but gave us some 48 hour bs. Additionally there seems to be no one to contact about any issues. Its is just difficult work with them as they dont want to work with you. Refinance if you can and get out of their system.

Comment: I am so done with this company. Got our home appraised to remove pmi a couple months ago. Told to wait a week for decision. Had to call and hound them over and over. Decision wasn’t for a month and it was communicated when we called them. Specific reason Unknown. Month and a half later after 5 requests we finally received written notification of denial and a copy of the appraisal. The appraisal attached was 3 years old and no one can tell me where the most recent one (and the justification for denial) ended up... but they will send it again. Great meanwhile I’ll keep paying them an extra couple hundred dollars every month while they figure out where their paperwork is. What a joke.

Comment: Our mortgage was sold for the third time in less than 2 years to Rushmore. The first manually make payment went well and I set up my automatic payment to be taken out on the 2nd of each month. Im a disabled retired Veteran and recieve my monthly pay on the first of every month. My second payment was paid on July 2nd according to my bank records and the fact the money was removed from my account. Got a letter in the mail today (July 17th) saying my automatic payment was returned for Non Sufficient Funds. I called to correct this and was told I didnt make a payment for July. Absolutely the worst customer service from someone who didnt even speak fluent English. Ill be contacting my bank for a transfer of loan to them.

Comment: Our mortgage was sold to this company and its been hell since. At this time my wife was in the hospital after heart surgery and we did not recieve a notice of the change and she called in and made the payment to the other company..and no one can seem to find it. Now they say we are now a month behind and insist we pay it again plus late fees of over $300.00 for every month we are behind.Now we were not informed of this change until late in the month of May, but the selling of our mortgage took place on the first of the month of May. Our previous payment went in in the last week of April, for the month of May. But now no one can find proof it was paid by phone, but my bank acct. shows it was paid. This is beginning of hell.We told our previous mortgage company our payment could not be made by the first due to our irregular schedule paydays and they were okay with it as long as it was paid before the next payment was due and we would not get a fee for being late.Now my wife tried to call and found out they wouldnt talk to her and she is the one who takes care of the bills, as Iam on the road all the time. So I sent the POA they requested and they still will not talk to my wife and insist we are one month behind and want me to talk to the collections dept.to pay our mortgage.Needless to say this company is greedy and do not care about the people they deal with at all and its been an on going battle with them for almost four months.If we have to pay late fees for four months of a total of $1200.00 and the missing payment of $1300.00 thats $2500.00 they are stealing from us. And on top of all this b.s. they are raising our monthly payment over $200.00 for flood insurance when we have never have had a flood in the two years we have lived here and in the 35 years since it was built neither did the 2 previous owners. Our house is built up 1-2 ft. from the ground. So why do we have to have flood insurance?Talk about scam artists...If anyone has had their mortgage company bought by this place RUN....Get it refinanced as fast as you can. If I could give then negative marks I would. They have made our lives a living hell and has put my wifes health at risk due to the undue stress they are adding to our lives. She is at a high risk of another stoke and she has a mass in her lung that most likely is lung cancer.These people say they work with you and they care. Comment: Dont often write reviews. However, this is the third loan company that has purchased my loan in the last 8 years. No big deal the transitions in the past have been easy. Well not this time.....Now, when I go to setup my automatic payment with this new company, I Do NOT have the option to split the monthly payment, paying on the 1st and the 15th. My last two loan companies allowed for the monthly payment to be split on the 1st and 15th, for a extra one time fee. No big deal I paid the extra onetime fee and auto draft was done with the previous companies. Well Rushmore doesnt offer this option, which is a basic offering for loan companies.They did tell me I could call in monthly to manually split the payment, which is ridiculous as the purpose of auto draft payment is to automate the whole payment process.

Comment: Called to inquire about a discrepancy in my mortgage being listed as an ARM instead of a fixed rate. My rep, Shonda was extremely helpful and diligent in finding a solution to the problem. Reviewed the mortgage note, researched and got a manager involved -- all of this while I was on the phone. I did not get the expected runaround and was thoroughly impressed with her knowledge and going the extra mile to investigate the issue. The situation is being handled and Rushmore has proven to be very solution-oriented since the beginning of my loan transfer. Their follow-up and the customer service experience is refreshing!

Comment: This company is working in the dark ages. In order to start an auto draft payment, you go online and put your banking information in. Easy enough. However, now that I need to change the amount coming out every month(adding an extra payment per year by adding additional monthly to come off the principal), I have to mail a letter(no form, just a handwritten letter with my account number stating I want to change the amount). That is incredibly inconvenient. On top of that, I asked how the confirmation would come to me when the change happens. The response was, Just call and check with us in about a month. So there is no email, letter, or call to confirm a change in a mortgage payment. As the consumer, I have to call and confirm. There is no way to check online or anything as well. You cannot edit anything. For a huge mortgage company, they are living in the 1980s with doing everything by mail. I wish I could refinance and get out of this incredibly archaic company.

Her loan was sold to them without her knowledge. Ever since her loan began to be “serviced” ( and I use the word “serviced” very loosely) by Rushmore she’s ran into nothing but problems. For starters Rushmore treats homeowners like renters! They sent someone to my friends house to hang a notice on her door stating to “contact Rushmore” shortly after she saw on a bill that she was charged $30 for them sending the person out! What the hell!? So you’re going to charge a customer $30 for your convenience? They didn’t ask for you to send anyone to their home...What happened to mailing letters or even emailing? She immediately called and was told “Oh sometimes we do that and to also check on the property”. I’m sorry...but what!? This is not a landlord and tenant relationship! Check on the property? It’s almost like they’ve already planted in their mind that they are going to turn your property into their next “rental”. Now secondly her home was damaged due to flooding from Hurricane Harvey. After all of the pain it took for her to get checks cut by the insurance company, she had to send them over to Rushmore and have her to receive them. Keep in mind Harvey took place in August...ITS DECEMBER and cold in Texas and you have a customer with practically and “open house”. You guys have no consideration to paying customers WHO DIDNT CHOOSE YOU! THEY DONT WANT YOU BUT ARE DEALING WITH THE HEADACHE UNTIL THEY CAN GET FROM UNDERNEATH YOU. The least you could do is have decent customer service. Comment: This is the worst customer service company we have ever dealt with. Our already modified loan through Wells Fargo was sold to this company with out our knowledge. Their mailings have been redundant and excessive. Now we find out that once again without our knowledge they have been reporting us in foreclosure. We have NOT MISSED ONE PAYMENT with them. Not only is our credit not being reported correctly or timely we recently tried to get approved for a very small lot rent for a weekend get-a-way and they were told we were in foreclosure. We finally got them to admit that our account is in good standing over the phone but they refuse to issue it in writing. We were told on Monday that we would have it within 24 hours by Juanita. When that didnt happen we were told by Anna that it takes 3 - 5 days and we should have it by the end of the week. Yesterday we spoke to a supervisor named Dave Figuora and he stated we would have it by this morning at the latest. ALL LIES!! Today we called and they told us it should be in our mailbox. What was in the mailbox was an acknowledgement of our request and a vague 30 day review comment. I have never dealt with a company that lies like this. They are basically holding our credit report and verification of good standing with them hostage and costing us an opportunity on a good deal. Comment: I didnt pick Rushmore to service me with my mortgage. At first, I felt it was an improvement from Beneficial HSBC. But, last month they mailed me a letter stating that my mortgage was recently transferred again. The letter clearly states to look below to see who purchased my mortgage. Rushmore did not named any business there. Then, when I call in to get an answer. The receptionist Anne nonchalantly states that I do not need to know this information; that its just an investor. Its clear that they see me as only a number for them to make subprime money off of me. I would not give them a referral as a good mortgage servicer. I was contacted by a Rushmore representatives who apologize and they notified me through the mail of my new mortgage owner. I still would not recommend them; but he was very nice and professional. Comment: The worst customer service and communication of any business. My mortgage was sold to Rushmore, So stuck with them by default...for now. So many issues...where to start! Right now, I am waiting for them to endorse a check and return to me for roof repairs that were done last month. I called prior to mailing the check and asked what I needed to submit to get this done ASAP. I sent them everything they asked for and was told that their claims department automatically overnights all mail coming out of their office. 19 days after receiving my check they still havent sent it out to me!!! THEY LEFT A MESSAGE STATING STILL WORKING ON ENDORSING IT?! What are they waiting for and how can a simple process take so long to be taken care of? And this halfwit, Nicholas, sealed the deal for my leaving!The absolute worst customer service possible. Ill informed and rude staff. Horrifying that they are in business. Beware! After two billing cycles, I have taken my mortgage from this company and gone elsewhere. Multiple phone calls for clarification on several points and each phone call yielded contradictory answers - never the same story twice. No follow thru, no answers and their customer service staff should not be allowed to interact with clients. They never contacted me and didnt draft my mortgage at all for two months.What should be a simple payment, that should be automatic, turns into a headache every month.Dont bother trying to call customer service, you will get redirected through their directory for 20 minutes keying in all your information.

Comment: Shortly after making frequent calls to their customer service line I was contacted by one of their reps, Nick. He was able to quickly help me with the unsettled tax bill with the town in less than 2 weeks. I wish the reps at the call center were half as helpful as Nick.Original post:Customer service line is not helpful in any way. So frustrating to talk to them on the phone.Submitted a tax bill to Rushmore, for them to pay out of escrow. Tax bill was listed as paid on the Rushmore site, but was not sent to the town. 6 months after the due date, I received a unpaid tax notice. Contacting Rushmore they immediately put it into research and said that the would have more information after 21 business days. They did NOT say that it would be settled, just that they would have more information after 21 business days.Contacting my town, they say all they need is a copy of a cancelled check if the bill was paid (as Rushmore says that it was). So getting back in touch with Rushmore, asking for this information, and all they can say is that it is in research, and to call back each day to see if there is any progress. You cannot talk to the people doing the research directly because they do not take incoming calls. When I asked if they could share any information on the progress made, I was told No, call back in 3 weeks at the designated completion date.

Comment: Our loan was transferred in Sept 2016 from Northpointe Bank and so far so good. I was really concerned after reading the reviews here but so far they have done a good job applying payments and escrow payments. I do everything online now so I am on top of things. One star deduction because they should have email communication this is the internet age. I will update if things change.

Comment: WORST COMAPNY I HAVE EVER HAD TO DEAL WITH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My Loan was recently sold to Rushmore and even though my account was previously Escrowed with my other company they did not pay my insurance and my home owners insurance is about to be dropped so now 13 days before Christmas I have to pay $700 out of pocket. and I then have to provide a bunch of documents to them and receipts before they can even correct the issue. even though they are taking money out of my payment each month and putting it in to a escrow account. not to mention the RUDE EMPLOYEES!!!!!! I can not express how much I dislike this company

Comment: Lousy customer service, horrible communication, I just sent them fax and got confirmation of success but their representative said it is not received. They provide a link to upload documents but it does not work. I have spent about 2 hours of my time just to go through their phone system and speak to the rep who did not help me. It looks like they do not know anything about internet technology and still live in the last century. Recommend to stay away of this company. They do not deserve even one star.

They tell you what it is they want you to send ( for a modification ) and after they recieve it, it wasnt readable and they need a couple different things, after thats said and done, they need new info . You rarely talk to the same person twice, they are rude and very very unhelpful. They truly do not care and show it . Hate this company very badly.

Comment: They are a terrible company. When I went to get a homeloan I did some research and found a great company. Then two years after buying my home, my loan was sold to these scammers. If you call them or they call you the first thing you hear is that they are debt collectors like you are some deadbeat. I paid my loan off in July. They charged me a house payment on August 1. They said it was MY MISTAKE. I should have let them know 15 days ahead of time I wanted to cancel automatic billing. They said they will refund my payment as long as I send them a formal written letter fully describing what happen through SNAIL MAIL. Who knows how long this will all take? Meanwhile they are holding on to over $1,000 of my money they stole for nothing. Terrible customer service if you try to call them for anything simple. I had to wait 48hrs for them to call back me last time. If your loan gets sold to these guys I pray for you. If you knowingly use them, youre a fool.

I knew when my loan got sold I was in for an uphill battle.. well at first I was extremely excited that I had received a loan mitigation contact that appeared to be helpful. She got us into a trial mod and I actually believed that it was going to be ok.. well after almost a year, our loan has been bought out again.. they still have not gotten the info from Rushmore and once Rushmore knew that my loan was being bought out they acted as if they no longer knew us and pretty much dismissed us.

Comment: If I had one word to describe the experience so far, it would be horrible. Dovenmuehle Mortgage sold our mortgage to Rushmore with the payments to Rushmore starting June 1st. We received the letter that this was happening on June 3rd. I tried to go online to Rushmores website to pay the balance, which was $97 higher than our old payment for some reason, but the website kept erroring out. I then called all the numbers on the document that was sent to us. Each number took me into the same prerecorded loop, which once I got to the payment section wouldnt tell me how much was due and just wanted my routing and account numbers. I havent thrown my banking info around willy nilly before, and I am not going to throw it into some poorly automated voice system with exactly zero detail as to how much it was going to charge me now. Finally, I got a hold of someone at the 949 number and they confirmed that the payment had made it through on the website even though I was never able to make it to the end of the payment pages because of the site crashing. Im just thankful it didnt charge me repeatedly for each time it appeared not to work. When I asked why my payment was $97 higher, they had no idea. They just said that since the loan was new, theyd look into. I, of course, appreciate this, and I hope that the issue is resolved. I hope that my interactions with this company improve as we move forward, or, if rates are still good, Ill just refi and get the hell away from them.

They have always been quite helpful but it also helps when payments are made on time and I had a set interest rate to begin with. No need for service. Funny reading all the negative comments. Comment: I wish I could give 0 stars. Worst ever! I went online to cancel my automatic payment because my paycheck was going to be a few days late due to the holiday in January. Online allowed me to cancel the automatic draft so I though everything was okay. I went online to make a 1-time payment a few days later. They charged me twice. Of course I didnt have enough in my back for 2 mortgage payments so I was charged an overdraft fee. When I called they told me that you cant cancel automatic payments online, you have to fax in a letter (why do they even have the option!) I faxed in a letter and received a letter a few weeks later confirming the cancellation. Well, on Februarys statement they charged me a $25 fee. They have a new feature where you can chat online. However, any question that you ask they tell you to call customer service. Why offer a service that does nothing? When I called them about it they said it was because I had insufficient funds from January when I had 2 payments. I tried to explain that it was their fault for not cancelling my automatic withdrawal, but they wouldnt take off the fee. Im cancelling with them as soon as I can get a refinance somewhere else.

Comment: My loan got transferred to them and I had already paid my taxes thru BofA and once they took over the loan they said I still owe those taxes and raised my monthly payments.I spend 3-4 hours several times talking to people and its like talking to a brick wall. So I gave up.I hope my loan gets sold again.They have the worst customer service and I am sure there is some embezzling of funds.I will have my lawyer figure that out.I say we file a Class Action Law suit against them. Comment: This is by far the worst management company I have ever dealt with. They service is horrific. I set up autopay and continue to pay on time and still get letters stating that I am delinquent. They are a debt collector handling mortgage collections. I hate this company and can never get anything accomplished with them. Thanks Citi Bank for selling my mortgage to them.

Comment: This company has been HORRIBLE to deal with since they bought my loan several months ago. Funds keep getting misdirected and I keep getting told I owe several different amounts, no matter what I pay. They always call back and say I owe more and have also falsely reported to the credit bureaus, hindering my ability to refinance away from them. I talk to these guys at least 5 times a month. I can never get a straight answer from any representative. They just want you to make a payment and get you out of their hands. They promise follow up, call back with answers, and I feel that all Im getting is ignorant lie after lie. If they buy your loan run away, fast!!!!!

Comment: This company is unbelievable. I am experiencing the same shady issues with supposed shortages in my escrow that never existed for 5 years prior to them buying my mortgage. My mortgage payments went up 25% overnight with an explanation of mistakes the company made and did not correct right way, instead asked me to pay extra first till the mistaken is cleared, which totally makes no sense. I really do not know what is going on with the companys management!

Comment: Zero stars. Worst company ever! Very unprofessional, no one returns calls and when they do, about two weeks later they dont have an answer for you. This company obtained my mortgage and then doubled my monthly payment stating that there was an escrow shortage which they paid and I had to pay back. Charge me for home insurance when I already had Allstate insurance coverage and was an hassle to get a refund for months. Claimed they never received any proof of insurance from myself or Allstate which were faxed a billion times. The agents are clueless and the supervisors are even bigger idiots. Each dept doesnt know what either one is doing. Multiple excuses of this dept doesnt handle this stuff we have to contact another dept and get back to you, which no one ever does. End result is find a way to get out of your obligation with this awful company. I DID!

Comment: Rushmore Loan Management -- Sent me three other customers private/personal papers for review overnighted by FEDEX one was a foreclosure with all their personal info on it, two others were lieu of Deeds with all their personal information. My paperwork was never located and god knows where it is but I am pretty sure all my private information was on those papers. Rushmore has never contacted me about the mess up instead tried to resend my papers with a new written clause stating I couldnt sue them once I signed these papers. Rushmore Customers BEWARE~!! We now have a Lawyer on the case and Rushmore still isnt budging...... Also the Bank Commissioner was notified and horrified and they were also avoiding their calls...SHAME SHAME Rushmore!

Comment: I have dealt with bad, but they are the ABSOLUTE worse. I have been on the phone with them several times trying to get them to pay my town the taxes that I paid in escrow. A month (and three late fees) later no one can figure out why it isnt done. Still havent seen any movement on them making a payment.They keep saying someone will call me back, but no one has. Theyre all very apologetic and very useless. As soon as this is resolved I will be refinancing.

Comment: I wish I could have an option for giving zero stars. Absolutely unprofessional, working on a loan mod in which they solicit. We sent in hundreds of pages of documents, they continue to tell us that they did not receive, re-fax, still state they did not receive. Then they change and say that additional docs are needed, I fax, I call again, someone then states that they did not have the initial mod application? Keep in mind no one has called me, I have continued to call them. Left our loan mod contact David at least 10 messages, still to this day he has not called back.. Called again, spoke to Aerial who rudely stated that if he had not received missing docs by Friday he was closing case?? What?? He stated that because we were in a BK that it worked against us because he could not speak to us until he received a release letter from our attorney.. yet the clock is ticking.. Sounds like discrimination.. Filed a complaint with BBB. I called again today, finally spoke to someone helpful who requested we email the docs to her so she could get them and forward immediately.. What a novel concept since we are in the technology era. I am just praying that they will start working with us. Obama has so many programs in place.. I do plan on escalating this and from what I see from other posts, my experience is the norm. Sad...

Comment: The service of my loan was transferred to Rushmore 11/2014 and in the past 8 months they have been unable to get my balances correct. Additionally, they filed fraudulent claims with the court stating I owed a significant outstanding balance; which they later rescinded, only after forcing me to hire a lawyer to dispute it (which simply involved submitting the receipts of my timely payments that Rushmore themselves had already provided me, which vastly conflicted with the claim they filed with the court).I call them twice a month, and am given many excuses as to why my loan balances are incorrect and inaccessible (namely that the company is doing an audit on the loan - now going on 8 months). I have been told for over 6 months that the loan has been corrected, and that the account should reflect it in anywhere from 2 days to 3-4 weeks. It has still not been fixed, nothing has changed.If you have any choice in the matter, listen to this and every other reviewer and complaint filer and avoid this company.

Comment: My experience has been one of horror. It is worst than a haunted house on Halloween night. It is too many unprofessional hands in the pocket. How can an organization who handles people money and their mortgage be so careless. They are either huge liars, or thiefs. They claim my mortgage has not been paid for January, February and March. Nevertheless, they cashed the checks, so where is the money, who has the money and/or where did it hide?. I went to a bank branch where they deposited the money and yes indeed they cashed all of the checks. A representative was appointed to me, but he has to send everything to the research department. So needless to say, nothing has been resolved. Oh I did get several letters charging me with fees and late charges. How can I be charged with late charges when they have the money? The last letter I received 4-18-2015 was from the Compliance Department, promising to get back to me in 30 days. Does it stand to reason when a check(s) are received, it should be deposited into an account noting which account it is deposited into. The letter also stated my Mortgage Company is Wilmington Savings Fund Society, FSB, as Trustee for Normandy Mortgage Loan Trust, Series 2013-8. They are located in Delaware, so they had to send my mortgage all the way to California, really???? Could it be designed to take people houses??????? The mortgage was paid to Rushmore, who is not a bank, but a service center. They are responsible for the money. What a sad commentary, too many hands in the pot.
