I wanted to use Safelite autoglass for my windshield repair, I tried calling to talk to a person. The automated system will not transfer you to a person and keeps bringing you back to the web page and hangs up on you. So I tried to use the web page, I set an appointment but the system would.not let me change the city or zip code where I will be during the 5 hour window that they gave for an appointment. Extremely Unprofessional
Made my appointment and they came and replaced my windshield on Aug 2nd. The very last step was remounting my rearview mirror and my windshield cracked from that. The installer said to wait until I get another appointment and pay my deductible then. He also told me that I would be contacted about the replacement appointment and never got that call. I did get a call the next day, Aug 3rd, that they need me to pay the deductible. When I said that I shouldnt have to pay that until my new windshield gets installed since that one cracked on installation. They didnt know about that and said theyd check into it and get back with me. It is now Aug 6th and nothing from anyone.
First winter after windshield replacement and it cracked. Tech said it couldnt be fixed under warranty as he thought the crack might have started due to ice on the wiper hitting the windshield. Really liked their online system but was worried about another $400 windshield replacement last only a few years.
Terrible customer service. I posted pictures of what happened to my windshield, what they advertise, and what I got. Richard showed up very early and disrupted my meeting by calling multiple times, then when I scheduled a warranty appointment tried to cover his tracks by calling me at 7:30am and telling me the work he did was fine and then later said “it might’ve done something weird when [he] left”. Asked for someone else to check it, had to call at the end of the day and the lady on the phone hung up and they never showed. Called again to make the appointment, never showed. Finally called again to get someone else to come out and the man got out of his car, didn’t look at my window and said it was fine. I don’t know what’s worse; customer service or the quality of service. Will never be using this company and I will make it known to others around me the poor quality they do. Henderson Glass will forever be getting my service! They were able to fix the mistake one time and actually was able to communicate.
I was rescheduled 3 times. When they rescheduled me after the second time they said the would waive my deductible. I work 3rd shift so I sleep during they day. My car was parked outside with my keys in as directed. The tech showed up and left because he did not know they waived my deductible. Piss poor communication between customer service and the field tech. Between being rescheduled 3 times and now the tech just leaving I have went a week and a half with a very bad windshield. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS NONSENSE!
Drove all the way here got an Uber to the mall for them to call me as soon as I got out and day they dont have my windshield they bought the wrong one. $20 later in transportation back to get my car, I picked my car back up. Over a week later and still no call back to reschedule. I know getting glass is tough right now, I just had to go way out of my way to get here and for that to happen. When they call I will take them up on the home repair as I live 45 min north.
Had a windshield replaced. Everything was nice and quick with good service. Three days later I went through a car wash. Leaked everywhere. Called to schedule a warranty issue and they fixed it. Four days later I went through a car wash and it still leaked. Now my headliner has a water stain. Not happy at all. Will update after my next warranty appointment
We had our windshield replaced a couple of weeks ago. We waited the appropriate time before running the vehicle through the car wash, and the windshield leaked. After setting up another appointment the technician showed up, dumped water on the windshield and said that our roof was leaking..not the windshield?! He refused to remove the glass to see if there were any problems, proceeded to talk down to my wife and continued to blame the leak on the roof (which has never leaked).I spoke with an assistant manager the next morning who came out later that afternoon to investigate. At least he removed the glass. The problem - a wad of old, unremoved caulk from the first installation. 🤦♂️I am giving 3 stars because they did resolve the problem, but I am Not recommending Safelite AutoGlass.
Worst experience try to get windshield replace. Wanting me to do all the insurance work. Normally the shops get info to insurance than do the work. They wanted us to do the claim. Recommended you go somewhere else that helps with the insurance process. Place is a joke! I cancelled my appointment due to poor service. Check around before doing their on line appointment !
Absolutely terrible experience. Setting up the original appointment was fine, but hated that it was a 4 hour window between 8AM and noon that they could arrive at. They never ended up coming, never got a phone call, I tried to call the number listed here, only for an automated message to tell me everything was done online and then hung up without an option to speak to a person. Luckily I had an email from them with a different number that eventually got me to a person. She was kind, but wasnt able to get ahold of the repair technician or the location he was out of, she ended up having to text them I guess. Got a call back about 30 minutes later (45-60 minutes after the appointment time frame) with not so much as a sorry or even an excuse. During the time I was waiting I was able to call Action Glass out of Allendale and make an appointment for the following day (safelite was a week out when I made the appointment) and have everything redone through my insurance. Action Glass gave a 1 hour window, got here on time, and was done in 45 minutes.Skip Safelite, it isnt worth it and not personal at all.
Truthfully it was aweful !I ended up calling another company who had my windshield replaced within 2 hours from my calling.Safelite has a national call center everything goes to so your stuck with that. The girl in the phone we as so clueless even the HVAC repairman who was present was laughing about it. I spent hours just trying to navigate thier system. I had to get the windshield replaced before I could leave town .... It turns out they were priced nearly twice what the other company charged. I told my insurance company they need to reconsider using them....it really was a horrible excuse for service.
Will NOT use this company again!!! We scheduled them to install a windshield last year. They showed up on time as scheduled and installed the new windshield. After they were done they saidthe new glass was warped and may leak They did not have another one in stock so they said I would have to reschedule to get it fixed. We scheduled another appt to get the windshield replaced and when the tech installed the new windshield it was defective the glass was blurry and you could not see clearly through it. The Tech said they must have gotten a bad batch of glass and we would need to reschedule to have it replaced under warranty. Finally a year later (3RD TIME) they installed the correct glass. I left the car parked in our heated garage for the Tech to work inside and he left the overhead garage door open the entire time he was working when it was 16 degrees outside. It would have been less expensive to pay more with another company and have it done right the first time.
I have a vehicle with eyesight cameras on my windshield and an automatic car starter. My windshield was replaced due to a 10 crack. Everything was transferred and recalibrated and works perfectly! Scheduled through my insurance company and had no issues. Only paid my $100 deductible.Before the replacement I had taken my oil change reminder sticker off and placed it on my stereo screen so it didnt get lost...the tech must have saw it because the sticker was back in the upper left corner on the new windshield. Details like that make me happy!
NEVER go here!!! I came to my appointment 3 times and had to reschedule because they were not ready to do the work. I had to keep taking off days at my work only to find they wouldn’t do it. Also, if you call the number for this location on google it sends you to a call center at another location which is not at all helpful. The manager there, Katy, is rude and does not know how to communicate well with others or schedule or hold an appointment. The stress i’ve been put through dealing with this business was unnecessary and i was treated with complete disrespect and no empathy.
Not pleased with my last experiance. Had to call twice to reach someone. Finally, this younger sounding guy answered. Didnt seam real sure of his answers to my questions. I did not leave the phone call feeling very confident in Safelite. I have used Safelite multiple times in the past and have been pleased. Concerned this time.
Had a windshield replaced by Safelite, the technician was a slob and left trash from the install in my driveway. Threw items that in no way shape or form would have interfered with the install clear back in my third row seating and left hand prints and suction cup prints all over my windows. As well as all sorts of small debris on my dash. Of course, the workmanship was poor and my windshield leaks at the top. Scheduled warranty work via the atrocious automated service and completely butchered my appointment date and location. So here I sit with a leaky windshield in the dead of winter for another week.
If I could give no stars I would. I set up the appointment for my windshield to get fixed through my insurance company a few days ago. The only time that was available was from noon-5pm... which I was thinking was a huge window of time for a Friday. 4pm hits, and I hear nothing from anyone. I call the Byron Center location listed on my invoice, and am informed by the receptionist she doesn’t even show a technician for me. All of a sudden the call drops. I call back and I get the automated response and finally get a call back 30 minutes later. The receptionist then tells me that she has no one that can make it to me today and I’ll have to reschedule. (It’s now 4:38pm) It’s the weekend before Memorial Day. The day is gone. I am supposed to be on the road on my way home. The damage to my windshield is too extensive to chance getting on the highway. The only days she relays she’s available are the following week Tuesday and Wednesday. My entire day is gone and family weekend ruined and this is the only option I am left with. This was my first time using their services and honest to goodness.. my last. I will ensure to let all of my friends and family know just how good their services (the lack there of) are.
I scheduled an appointment two days in advance because of my work schedule. They called and confirmed the appointment the day before. I had received a call from an UNLISTED number, which I had ignored and deleted, but this was a cancellation call from Safelite. So, I went to the appointment only for the receptionist to tell me that my appointment was canceled, because they did not have the part needed to replace my windshield. They told me that they would call me when the part arrived, but they did not call. I called again one week later from when this all started for them to say it had just come in an hour ago. I had to leave work early to have my windshield replaced, because timing was an issue. Once I was there it only took an hour and a half, but it felt like a week long process that really annoyed me.
I have had multiple windshields replaced at this location, and every single experience has been great. They always display a very high level of professionalism. The work is top notch and the technicians are very friendly. If I had to complain about something, It would be the lack of a restroom in the waiting area.
No complaints. All staff was very friendly. Work was completed in a timely manner. Had a decent sized chip in my windshield that is barely noticeable now after repair. Waiting room had drinks & snacks available. Cost is reasonable. Would return here for any other repairs needed.
Highly recommend if you need your windshield replaced! Zachary was amazing at explaining what he was doing and very friendly! I was scheduled for him to come to my home and my appointment time was between 12pm - 5pm but he got there about 1 hour early Will for sure call safelite if I ever need any other windshield replaced! Best service around and amazing technicians!!!
I went in to fix a small pebble crack on the passenger side and they cracked my new windshield on the driver side and told me they didn’t have anymore and couldn’t fix it. Now I have a crack that is 3 ft long on the driver side and they still haven’t contacted me about a new one or offered support. I had a good experience before but this time I left frustrated and with a bigger problem.
After spending 2-3 hours they failed to install the correct windshield in the first place. My Active Driving Display showed doubles on the screen. Hadn’t done any kind of quality assurance. And no clean after the job. Full of debris on the dashboard.Asked me come another weekend spent another 2-3 hours finally got the job done. And no cleaning and made dirty handprints on the inside windshield bars.Very disappointed. Not recommending to anyone.
Great service! Friendly and fast. My only complaint is the small waiting room that looks more like a 10 minute lube places waiting room. I needed to get work done on a laptop during the 2 hours my car was in, so I had someone pick me up to take me to a location with a desk. Not really worth docking them a star as I dont think most people will care, and if I go back, Ill know to plan for it.
2 hours after dropping my vehicle off, I called back to the location. They had not touched the vehicle and lied by stating they tried to call me. This never happened. I had set the appointment weeks prior with the insurance company and this location. Giving the location all the information they needed. They never got with our insurance to clear the repair; however, they told me that they had prior to coming in. I have now wasted 4 hours on a Saturday to be told they cannot fix. Not a place I would recommend.
False advertising. This outfit spends alot of money on advertising. Then you go to do their fix a chip in the window. Even went to their store. Then the guy says 130.00 dollars. Bait and switch. Put it this way I would go without a window before I would ever go or step foot in their outfit. Remember they are not the only game in town.
I had my rear window, on my 2015 Ford Edge break. I had them come out to crash wrap it, so i could drive, but later found out that they wanted me to go to the dealership to remove my spoiler, or they wouldnt replace it. Unfortunately it would have cost me over $350 to do that, and my insurance wouldnt pay for it. They were really helpful with working things out, and made it right. I ended up going with a different company because they would change the glass with the spoiler on. Unfortunate that i had to find that out so late and now I am another day without my car, but they were very willing to help me work it out in the end, and didnt make me pay for the crash wrapping. They handled it very professionally. Moral of the story, if your rear window on your 2015 or newer Ford edge shatters, find a place that will change it without requiring you to remove it!
I am more than disappointed in the finished product I received. While I have a replaced windshield, I also received numerous tool scratches and gouges that are down to the bare metal and will likely start rusting this winter. While inspecting the interior of the car, I noticed numerous pieces of glass that I could pick up with my fingers - even vacuuming less than five minutes would have picked this leftover debris up. On top of all of that, the rear mirror mounting bracket broke leaving me without a backup camera or mirror creating a safety issue that MIGHT be fixed within a week (waiting for a follow-up call). At this point, I wish I would have kept my cracked windshield.Corrective action needs to be taken and Im looking at Safelite as the responsible party.
Worst experience ever getting windshield replaced. This will be my 4th try to get my windshield problem fix. Wasting my time driving back and forth and taking time off work so they can fix it.Edit: After 4th try, they finally fixed the problem. Im glad this got resolved but still was a big hassle going through all that
I specifically asked for glass and mirror replacement - it was written up that way, then ordered while the tech was there from the catalog and someone would be out to install my mirror in 4-5 days. No further contact! I am not happy because from the Liberty Mutual call to your local rep, they said both would be replaced at one time by the installer. Only when the installer was 30 minutes out did I find out that he couldnt replace it but that he would order it. My time spent has been over 4 hours, at my billable rate that is over $800 - I could have taken the vehicle to a body shop, had it done once and been happy. Now it is a liability for anyone who drives that vehicle.
I called Safelite to get an estimate on reattaching a piece of molding on the bottom of my windshield. They told me they would have to buy a new windshield even though there wasnt anything wrong with my windshield. I called one of their competitors (Complete Auto Glass) and they asked me to bring it to their shop. A technician took a little plastic tool and reattached the molding and didnt charge me anything.
I have had then come to the house to fix a windshield and have gone to their location for another repair. Courteous service, they estimated 1.5 to 2 hours and were done in an hour. I waited in their waiting room, it was nicely furnished with free Wi-Fi, pop and snacks so the wait wasnt so bad. Dropped one star because there was obvious pieces of glass that didnt get vacuumed up, but good service over all.
A mobile tech never showed up for the appointment. Never bothered to tell me they were canceling. Waited from 8 AM til noon in the service window, then waited til 2:00PM before calling my insurance company. The soonest they would reschedule was almost a week later.Do what you say you will, when you say you will. Now I have to reschedule another day of meetings next week to make sure someone can show up during a 4 HOUR WINDOW (get the pun there). I now have a broken front windshield for another week. Thanks Safelite!
Don’t be fooled by their first approach of customer service. Walked in and they greeted kindly and offered drinks and snacks while we waited ninety minutes for our window repair. 115 minutes later no vehicle and when I went to the window workers were sharing cell phone info with each other and not acknowledging me at the window. Even though they clearly made eye contact with. I asked about the vehicle and they said it would be at least another thirty minutes because they were backed up. A little heads up would of been nice. The most frustrating thing is I specially asked if it would be two hours and they said no ninety minutes. Grrrrr!!!
These guys have great customer service. I had one gentleman come out to my place of work and replace a wind shield while I was working. Only took about 45 minutes to replace. Unfortunately, that wind shield cracked only a couple weeks later. However, after talking to another representative, they came back out to my place of work and replaced it at no charge. Super easy, super convenient.
This is the third time Ive use Safelite and based on their Customer Service alone, Ill be a customer for life. Ive had service done in three different states on three different cars and every time I walk away impressed.Their lounges are comfortable and Id almost go as far as to say luxurious. You dont see lounges with free sodas, Keurig Coffee, and snacks anymore and it just adds a little something special to your wait.The technician (Jonathon) came out and introduced himself professionally, let me know the time range of how long it would take him and carried on. The woman at the service desk was polite and personable (and my windshield was properly replaced) Thank you for your outstanding service.
I figured these guys would have their poop in a group, big brand name and all. I had a Saturday appt scheduled a week in advance. That appt was pushed over to the next day, a sunday (???) at 4pm. Seemed like a weird time slot but I needed that windshield.So I show up with my kid and were all prepared to get this windshield swapped. Only one awkward kid working that made it a point to mention multiple times how great he was at doing his job. I never asked about his experience. He walks around my car a couple times, then comes in and informs me that they dont even have my windshield in stock.Fast forward to monday, I call the office, sit in hold for over 15 mins. Hung up, found a different number, finally got someone who didnt even attempt any form of customer service. I believe her name was Madison or something like that. Anyway she just kept pushing for a reschedule. At this point I just want my $400+ back that they make you pay up front when it is scheduled online.I do believe in their business model, it was a nice clean office, but for my very first experience with these guys... it sucked out loud. Im still waiting to see if Ill get my full amount refunded.
If I could give more than 5 stars I would! These guys went above and beyond what above and beyond would be. Will did a fabulous job on my Jeep. Not only did they give me the right windshield after I ordered the wrong one, but they offered to help push my car to the mechanic after it broke down out front. I will be recommending this location to everyone!
Safelite states they are the glass experts and perform quick precise replacement you can trust. My glass was replaced at Byron center, the tech said I was good to go and my lane keep assist camera was calebrated, and then upon leaving, my car alerted me the camera needed to be serviced, the camera was turned off, and didn’t function. Now, it works intermittently and to get an appointment scheduled I have sat on hold for about an hour. In total, I will likely spend 5-6 hours for the glass experts to quickly and efficiently replace my glass with their extensive training. While I understand mix ups happen, not being told of the camera not functioning after the “recal” and being left to discover this for myself seemed misleading and in conjunction with having to sit on hold for long periods of time paired with another appointment has become both confusing and frustrating. I must go to safelite for my repair as it’s insurance work; however, the experience I have had leaves much to be desired
Had an appointment set for a window of between 8 and 12 and safelite didnt show until 1pm. Very unprofessional to not make it on time when they had a 4 hour window to show up. Worst part was installer called me at 9:30 to tell me he had one more windshield to do then he would be over. My 2 small chips were sealed and seem to be good as of today.
I just want to say the Grand Rapids, MI Safelite team is awesome! When my windshield they replaced two years ago started to leak,they orders parts from the car manufacturer that are typically not part of a windshield replacement.They told me they guarantee their work, no questions asked.And when I had to bring my car to their location, they even offered to pay for my Uber ride there and back.Other local businesses should use your business model and customer service experience as an example.Thank you!
HORRIBLE DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS. Had windshield replaced, technician took the keys and basically told us to get out without talking to us at all. He ripped out XM radio/antenna cord without replacing it or asking permission. Then on the way home the car completely died and wouldnt start, was left stranded on the side of the road in the dark with no working battery/light/anything. Sat on hold for over two hours with NO answer then finally was put on hold even longer, still waiting on help 4 hours later. Never had any problems with the car before. Horrible customer service and completely screwed my car.
Made an appointment online. Get to the place and not only did they not have my paperwork completed, they didn’t even print it out! This was after standing at the empty reception desk for 15 minutes and finally calling out to get someone’s attention. Then they tell me that they will call me when it’s done. I said, “I have an appointment, I will wait here “. She tells me it might not be done till the end of the day! An appointment! Means a specific time to do the work! I don’t make reservations at a restaurant for 6 to have them tell me I might get a table by 10! Won’t be going back, and definitely won’t waste my friends time by recommending them to this unorganized pile of mess.
Arrived for my appointment that I booked a week in advance and they didnt have the trim needed for the install, wasted an hour round trip. Called the manager, Jason, who approved an on-site/mobile install at no additional charge. Then they charged me extra for the mobile install. Called Jason again, he said he would refund the trip charge, a week later, still no refund. Update: week later got a refund check in the mail.
Horrible customer service. HORRIBLE!! 7-10-19THEY DESERVE A minus -5 starQuoted price was way higher at install.Install time was way longer.Asked up front install time 3x. Told 1.5 hrs or LESS.When questioned they copped and attitude. 3 other customers in waiting room witnessed as well. All thought was total BS customer service.The only thing they are sorry about is getting called out on their BS.MY FaceBook has 3187 friends to share this with!!
I had my windshield replaced. I could hear the techs frustration when getting the windshield out, but when complete it,looked okay. However, after he was gone I noticed trim by the windshield was not quite right, but it was somewhat attached. A bit later the piece is now broken. Dishonest tech with trying to cover up that it was reassembled incorrectly. Do not recommend you use Safelite as they did poor work and were dishonest.
Very friendly and professional staff. I think Aaron was the fellow who worked on my F150. Repaired the Chipped glass in 35 minutes. And the girl at the front desk was very friendly. Offered bathroom, TV and drinks. A little tricky to find them but gotta love Google maps Haha:)
I had Safelite come to my house to fix a dime sized chip in my windshield a few inches above my line of sight. They got here when they said they would and were here only 10 minutes. After they left I went to check on it and it was filled but the chip was still as visible as before. (I was later told that sometimes the weather and the depth of the chip would make it not invisible.) I went to my insurance company as I wasnt too happy and what did safelite do? Replaced my whole winshield at their place at no extra cost!! They were very courteous and professional. Jacob did a fantastic job on my winshield and the young lady at the counter filled me in on all the info I needed. If needed, I definitely will give Safelite another chance. Thank you, guys!!!!
I had a chip in my windshield. Mark came to my house and got it fixed very fast. Mark was a super nice guy, very professional, he explained what he was going to do before he did it. I can barely see where the chip was, Mark even vacuumed the front of my car, and cleaned my windows!! Very happy.
When I discovered an 8 crack in my windshield, my insurance company referred me to Safelite. It was really easy and convenient to schedule my repair appointment online, and I even had the option of requesting that Safelite come to me instead of bringing my car to them. I received regular updates letting me know when my mobile service technician, Jacob, would be arriving (including his photo, which I appreciated), and he was right on time. All I had to do was leave my car unlocked with the keys on the dash and wait inside the comfort of my own home while my windshield was replaced in my driveway. The whole process took roughly 40 minutes, and Jacob did a great job. My insurance covered the entire cost of the repair, but even if they hadnt, I still thought that the prices were pretty reasonable. Highly recommended!
I will never go through Safelite again.I went through Progressive to get my windshield fixed, they set up the appointment and took our card information and told us that Safelite would come to my work and fix the windshield for $175.When the Safelite representative was finished, the bill came to $229. I told him my confusion as Progressive gave me the lower number of $175. He called the Safelite office and when he got off the phone, I asked him what his office said.Well, she said that Progressive doesnt give out numbers at all for pricing. Shes basically calling bull on your part. - Direct quoteFirst off, Im not a liar, and Progressive DID give me that number for pricing. Secondly, maybe calling your customer a liar is bad customer service? Just a thought.Im giving two stars instead of one because the installation was fine, and they did drop the price down, but calling me a liar left a terrible taste in my mouth, and I will not be a returning customer, nor will I recommend it to friends.
Went through my insurance, had an appt for between 12-5. Just before 2 they called and were not going to come because of snow/wind and no place to take it while at my work. 15-20 mins later there was no snow at all. Called back and the installer wasnt going to come because the snow was going to be on and off all afternoon. He was going to continue on with his other appts and I needed to reschedule. Why not just put me back in where you can before 5 since you were able to move on to your other appts sooner. Its been almost 40 minutes now with no snow expected for another 2 hours. Pretty poor customer service.
I had my windshield replaced a few weeks ago but hadnt driven the car much since then. Took off on a 13 hour trip for business and 3 hours in something started banging. Pulled over and it looked like my windshield was coming apart. I was able to limp back at 30 mph to the closest Safelite location where they told me the molding hadnt been glued on which they said was a rookie mistake. They re-glued, taped it up and said it would take 24 hours to glue/harden. So I went home since I wasnt driving another 10 hours to NC with an iffy windshield. That rookie mistake cost me the loss of a lot of money out of pocket and potentially thousands in income I couldnt earn by not making the business trip.
We had a windshield replaced. It did not go well. But I will say that safelite went above and beyond for us. They did more than I ever expected. Sarah in Grand Rapids is very professional and accommodating. Even though there was some bumbs I would not hesitate to use them again.
**Updating from 2 to 4 stars** Jacob came back out to my house and noted some issues after the window was removed and also give some advice as to what I should watch in the future. Very happy with his visit and the windshield is now sealed and the same leak isnt taking place anymore. Much appreciated. **Updated** Some lack of attention to detail. My car floor board now fills with water when I get a car wash or it rains because the trim is attached improperly. Since I have rubber mats I didnt notice until 2 months later that the carpet is wet underneath and now I have to wonder if the water damage could be permanent. Not very happy overall. Cant say Id recommend using Safelite due to this.
So I understand rescheduling due to rain. Calling me an hour and a half before my appointment time frame ending time to tell me the tech is sick supposedly I now have to wait another flipping week. Come on. The woman that called couldnt get me off the phone fast enough and was incredibly rude about rescheduling I hung up shocked at her rudeness.
Had them replace a windshield in my plow truck a few years ago,it started to leak on drivers side last year. I called them because of lifetime warranty,they said truck was rusted out above gasket,i disagreed saying leak was between gasket and winshield, they wouldnt replace gasket and left. So i sealed windshield myself in left upper corner of gasket,guess what i was right. Theyll never do my windshields again,their warranty is bs!
DO NOT GO TO THEM. Wow where to start. First they put the wrong glass in my car, then rescheduled my appt twice. Went back after a month of not having the right glass in they put the right glass in but was not able to recalibrate my cameras. Went back when they uad someone there to recalibrate the cameras once ayain they were not able to get it to work so after them trying with a total of 5 appts. They still failed then told me to take it to the dealership. Now I have to lay out of pocket for that also my console shakes now. So not only did they make everything worse on a car that has not seeing its 2nd oil change yet. But I still have to go elsewhere absolutely the worst place Ive ever been to. Will not recommend anyone. Please dont waste you time going to this place.
Called to reschedule my appointment that I waited a week for. Then rescheduled an appointment that wasnt even mine. Then pushed it back over a week. Im out. Moved work to Complete Auto Glass. Then I called back to get my deposit back....been on the phone for 30 minutes dealing with it.
I had a windshield replaced in 2011. In 2017,it cracked and began to leak water. The crack did not come from being struck. It cracked due to the previous 2011 installation over top of rust and corrosion. Safelite inspection revealed the fault of the previous installation, and I then told the person that safelite installed the windshield. They looked up my VIN, identified the problem as covered by the safelite lifetime warranty and repaired the chassis body work damaged by corrosion and 100% covered everything, including the rental car. I was back on the road in 1 week. I will never have anyone but safelite replace all the windshields in my family fleet of cars and trucks!
Horrible customer service. Set up via online appointment to repair a stone chip, my car ins pays for cost, no deductible. Safelite comes out and fixes it then tells my wife she owes $70 right then. She pays with check not knowing better at the time. I called and Safelite promises to hold check until ins comes through. Safelite cashed check anyways and now that ins is ready to pay, tells me I have to get reimbursed by my ins co. Thugs and liars. I have spent over an hour, many calls but no refund. Never emailed to tell us. They reported the cars mileage 25,000 miles more than it actually was, so now Carfax is screwed up. #poorcustomerservice, #safelite
Absolutely worst company to get glass through. DO NOT use safelite of grand grands. I received a quote for a rear window and received the wrong window twice in a row, then was told the price I was originally quoted and verified multiple times was over $200 under what Im now being told I have to pay. Then i was given the number to call a manager to speak to them and the number was incorrect, i was given a residential number.I will be going to Belle Tire for glass and will NEVER use this safelite or any other safelite ever and will recommend the same to every person I know. Again will never use any safelite again! Please do not waste your time with this company.
Had an awesome Experience with Safelite when come to getting my passenger side window fixed, one of the store managers by the name of Toccara Rose was kind enough to give me a wonderfully amazing discount on getting my window fixed, that will be an experience Ill never forget I was truly blessed with this company and their staff and especially their store manager so thank you so very much and bottom of our hearts from my family to yours. I would recommend anyone to go to Safelite and get their windows fixed! They fell in love with Lika and they were very accommodating to him as well with treats and goodies and lots of love its good to know there are dog lovers out there like me. I recommend anyone to use Safelite to get their windows fixed, amazing customer service and wonderful staff thank you Safelite and thank you Miss Rose for your kindness.
I had them put in a windshield and it was pretty good and then I gave him extra money to remount my mud flap and it came right off by the next season and I had another shop install it better and tighter. now the mudflap is holding the whole side of the car together its on so tightly
After being on the phone for over five minutes, dealing with their ridiculous automated system, which then put me on hold for an additional 2 minutes before being disconnected on their end. Hire actual people to answer the phones instead of using these automated answering systems. You lost a customer today for this very reason. I used to do business with Safelite in the past but no more.

2022-05-16I made an apt , waited 4 and a half hours for a tech that never showed , then I was called and with NO apology was told no one was coming but I could go to their shop the next day. They were going to charge 200 more than competitors for my windshield and for such poor customer svc ! I took my truck elsewhere and am so glad I did. I got great work , a better price and was treated with courtesy .

2022-05-28Brought my car in this morning to get my windshield replaced. Got there around 945am and they had it finished in less than 45 mins for $50 deductible.The workers were very nice, not so talkative which is fine but were courteous and did a great job. Highly recommended

2022-08-16Made an in-store appointment for a windshield replacement. They told me it may take 2 hours, but I was in and out within an hour! My new windshield looks and works exactly as it should. They were even able to peel my car wash and oil change reminder stickers off the old one and stick them on the new one, without me even asking them to. Thanks Safelite!

2022-06-30I had my windshield replaced two months ago and tried reaching out to schedule a warranty repair because the seal is bad. I can hear a very high pitch whistling wind/noise when driving down the highway. I have been trying to contact this company for days. I either have to go through a whole bunch of recorded options and then end up getting hung up on when they say there is no one to help me. I then found a number to text and that resulted in them telling me to call that same number again. I finally get another phone number and am able to speak to someone and they say my order was deleted in their system (even though they replaced my windshield and I paid them for it) so they can’t help me. I try to reach out via the web chat and am also not helped there. This is a safety issue and I don’t want to drive with my baby in the car. I am so extremely frustrated.

2022-06-02Was let down twice in two weeks by another provider. Very frustrated with them so called Safelite; they had our windshield replaced in less than 24 hrs while I was at work. Great communication throughout the process. Would recommend them highly!

2022-07-08I had an appointment scheduled for 12-5pm on a Friday, and the appointment was confirmed the night before at 7pm. On the day of the appointment, I got a text message at 3pm stating my appointment had been cancelled without any explanation. I tried 3 times to get in contact with this location to understand what happened but was unable to reach anyone. Even the Safelite regional customer service center could not reach anyone at this location. Absolutely terrible, unacceptable service.

2022-06-29Made an appt to have my Motorhome windshield replaced! Drove over and hour one way, got stuck in traffic and was 15 mins late only to be told they could not do my windshield today because I was 15 mins late! Guy was extremely rude! Thanks for wasting my day! Thanks for the reply, unfortunately the way you treated my husband was completely unacceptable. Not being able to do the service is one thing but being a complete jerk is another. I will never be back again!

2022-05-24If I could give zero stars, I would. Safelite in Byron Center is the absolute worst and I would tell everyone to avoid them no matter what. I had terrible service 2 years ago when they replaced my windshield (including 2 service calls right after to fix the mess they made of my car) and now 2 years later still trying to get them to repair their shoddy work but cannot talk to a person because of their ridiculous automated phone service. Their work is subpar and their “warranty” work is worse. Buyer beware — It should have been a red flag when the first question is how are you going to pay for this?

2022-06-22I bought and paid for my install but then before they could even get me in they started sending offers. $20 off use our code... they offered me $35 on the phone. Stop trying to scam us. I canceled my order. Will find a local shop and talk to them. I dont actually care if I have to pay more to get work done if it doesnt mean I dont have to get it redone... if I have to redo the buy there is problem at the company.Update: went with a local company, even after I gave the dude a tip(it was hot today) I still saved over $200.Was so right about being ripped off.
