Quick and easy. The guy was friendly. I did call ahead to let them know I was coming so they had the part pulled. I would suggest doing that. The neighborhood isnt the best but I felt pretty safe there.
They sold me a motor for a Jetta that they claimed had been tested, after deeply checking the engine for any problems or cracks in the block turned out the engine had jumped timing and won’t even turn I call and they leave me on hold for half an hour.
Horrible experience. Needed replacement door mirrors for my car. Confirmed with the sales person twice if the parts were available. Was assured they were and would be ready for pickup. Drove all the way from Cleveland to Detroit to pick up the parts since they were the nearest salvage yard that had the same color parts as my car. When i reached there I was informed that the parts didnt even exist, this really made me furious.
This is my preferred yard in the area. They are clean, friendly reasonable, and priced well. Even in the winter they rotate their stock at least once a week and they have every car on System so they know which part you are looking for exactly. The employees have always been helpful and friendly.
I bought a car from here Tuesday ask them is there any problems they say no then my car wont start after they put in a battery. The next day I told him it was the starter they kept assistant it was the battery and I needed a jump so they finally gave in and said theyre going to send somebody never did this is the end of day 2 and they still was giving me the run around until it was time to close Maybe my review may change later but as of now bad service bad product do not recommend
Drove from Chicago to purchase a decklid that they were unable to ship to me. Amidst my frustration driving 4 hours my experience with Sals Auto Parts was EXCELLENT!!! When i arrived to Michigan i was lost the saleswoman directed me to the location they had my part at the gate ready to be loaded. Very quick and excellent service. Worth the drive and $1200 spent!! Pleasure doing business with you all!!
I purchased a heater assembly, but unfortunately it arrived broken. It was picked up, but the carrier disputed the claim from Sals. I dont know how it worked out for Sal, but he fully refunded my payment. Thanks for your service Sal!
Called and ordered a transmission, these people are very unprofessional. No call back no delivery. Called next day no answer. Ill avoid them at all costs. Business is a joke tbh.

😡 worst customer service ever, i call 9 time for parts the say we call you back, and no body call me. i call next day the put me on hold for 5 to 13 minute i call week after the did seam way hold please no one pick up and ask how can i help you, the worst salvage yard in metro detroit i dont recommend at all 👎🏿
Sal is a fraud please dont deal with these people.. when we ask for parts they tell they have it and then they ship the wrong part and when I call back and tell that the parts bad , Sal lets you know that he will call us back but never does.. Every time I give a call some one answers and take down my number and never gets back to me. and now they aint answer my calls.. Beware these are some scammers !

Needed a computer for my 2002 Dodge ram pickup truck. This was the closest available location I could have ordered it from being in Florida and it beinga hard to find computer. I was assured they would get the computer out and I should have it monday... That was this past monday the 12th.. it is now thursday the 15th... and after calling each of the last 2 days I could not get any kind of tracking number or anything after on monday they said they would overnight it... it is now Thursday and my phone calls are not even being answered and Im out not only $400. but a week of waiting for something and unable to use my vehicle for work.
It took a hour to get a calibre bracket i didnt know it was a junk yard and you have to wait for them to get the part off of another car. I called ahead and came in and still didnt have the part pulled. My car was on a tow truck outside.

Ordered an ignition coil over the phone, came in 10 minutes later and it was ready on the counter, very nice people and had the best price for the part i needed, very speedy and professional, they also price match witch was very helpful.
They call you back and let u know about the part u asked about right away even if they dont have it!! Fantastic people would definitely refer them over any of these local junkyards.
They told me 250 for bumper on the phone once I got there they changed there mind and wanted 500 I drove 1 hour to get it but they dabbled the price
Absolutely horrible they sold a pregnant woman with a 3 year old a car with a loose engine and transmission and wont fix anything for me, theyre so rude, no one will answer my questions! I would let recommend anyone come here!
One of the worst salvage yards. They say they have the part and will call you but NEVER do! They told me my part would be ready in 20 minutes and when i get there they tell me it wont be ready til the next day. BEWARE!
Called them for a windshield wiper arm they said the have it got there 5 minutes later paid the price and I went on my way and they gave me tools to fix my wiper so thankful
Make sure they have the parts before you go there otherwise very good people

As other people commented here. Yes they will tell you they have the part & when you go there they say oh sorry we dont have it.. Save yourself the headache & take your business somewhere else. Very unorganized. One star is even too much for them
A high school kid worked his butt off for 2 years, and purchased a Blazer that was stolen from them. A kid is out of $3000, and they didnt offer to help the kid, nor was a thank you said. The story was on the Channel 7 news today.If someone cant find kindness in their heart to a child, then what can I expect in auto repair?
Called ahead to make sure they have it in stock, drove 25 minutes to find out they dont have the part. Very disappointed with the wasted time. Lady at the counter was very friendly but it was still waste of my time.

2020-05-01Prices aren’t bad, but I called in regards to the door. They told me it had power windows and power locks. It was in perfect shape. When I showed up there were scratches, the paint was peeling, and it doesn’t even come with a mirror! Not to mention it didn’t have power locks or power windows.These guys are ripping me off and wasted my time. The only reason I bought from them is they were the only ones with my parts. Will not be going back again. Wrong part, strike one. Misinformation, strike two. Poor quality, strike three

2020-07-31Havent been able to speak to anyone that even has the slightest clue as to whats going on there. First time I called about a bumper I was told it was available for $100. So the next day I called before I made the 2.5 hour drive to let them know I was on my way they said it was gone. Next week I call again and they apparently have it again. Now I cant get anyone to return my calls and the email they provide isnt valid. Do they want to make money or not..?

2021-04-01I called for a part they have, it was showing 0 issues on their listing at cars-parts. Com. When I went there, the part had dent damage and bracket deformed. I wasted an hour going there back and forth for nothing. Be honest upfront.
