Salsaritas Fresh Mexican Grill in other cities:
Foods not very good, Chipotle and Qdoba are better. Also Im a dasher and they have doordash drivers fill their drink cups which is both a food safety violation and against their merchant contract with doordash. Also its disgusting, all items should be sealed before a driver touches them.
Went to the Hall Road and Romeo Plank location and very much enjoyed my meal...I got a pork burrito bowl with chips/mild salsa and a drink for 13 bucks, and it was better than expected...for a Subway-style, create your own taco/burrito/bowl, the pork was tasty and i like the selection of rice, beans and vegetables to go with it...if youre looking for spicy food, the mild salsa has no heat so i would recommend their hot sauce, but its perfect for those who want the flavor without the heat...everything inside was super clean as well so that was definitely nice to see!
We quit going to the two popular chain Mexican restaurants that we usually do due to lack of quality and inaccurate orders. First time here and we should have tried it sooner. I got a bowl and it had just the right amount of rice, beans, meat, etc. The chips are light and crisp. The salsa was good. The people were friendly. Definitely our new replacement for quick Mexican eats.
I’ve gone to this location several times and have never been disappointed. Tonight was no different. We are always welcomed upon entering, line moves fast, friendly interaction with the employees, cost never breaks the bank, food is always perfect and the manager always comes around to check to make sure everything was good. You can tell the employees have been well trained. I’ve been in customer service for many (many) years and seeing young people that can actually speak loud enough and make eye contact with the customer is a great sign of training. Kudos to that manager and keep up the good work. I’m sure we will be back in a few weeks. Thank you for making our dinning experience comfortable.
Do you happen know the temperature of Hot Food Holding Standards? Above 140F or above. How can I get a Quesarita completely cold...probably served at 75F. Not even warm to the touch. Please review proper Hot & Cold Foodservice standards with the manager and the staff. Unacceptable
Fresh, fast, lots of choices. You cannot go wrong with the two-taco combo. Includes freshly made tacos, warm chips, and a drink. The lemonade was empty, and when I told them, it was filled immediately. Bathrooms are clean (always a dead giveaway as to the cleanliness of the restaurant.)
Used to love this place... The last two or three times Ive been there the service is terrible. Had three different people working with me tonight who not only didnt listen to what I ordered but got annoyed when I ordered. Not one person smiled or even a little bit seemed welcoming. The one lady actually rolled her eyes at me more than once. I think for that reason, Ill pass you up and go to Qdoba from now on.
Food was disgusting. The Detroit one who caters lunches at my employer I’m downtown Detroit is way better. The staff messed up my shrimp and forgot to put my Queso in my bag even though it was in their hand when I left??? I think they did it on purpose after messing up my shrimp and having to pick the lettuce out of it. Awful experience everything tasted like knock off Mexican food. Go to the one in Detroit or go someplace that’s serves authentic Mexican food. The staff here is very forgetful. The food isn’t good enough to drive back and pick up anything they “Forgot”
I love Salsaritas! Its cafeteria style, where they put your food together in front of you as you tell them what you want on it. I almost always get the nachos, because I can load them up with everything. Ive even used them for catering and everyone kept telling me how great the taco bar was. I will definitely use Salsaritas for catering again, and of course I will eat there again as well.
Not that great and not horrible. Such potential but a lacking effort by the workers. Had tacos that were quite skimpy with the toppings. Seems very overpriced. Perhaps the people working could take a little care and interest, and this could be a nice refreshing option for a quick meal. I would pass on returning.
The place smelled great but I was honestly very dissatisfied with the quality. I asked for the steak two taco combo, and I got some weird steak and hamburger mix meat. My buddys ground beef tasted very funny and definitely not fresh. The only even halfway decent thing here was the soda, which was still not up to par with other restaurants
Not great. Got a salad in a taco bowl (no meat) & a small pop & it was $10, which I thought was way over priced. There werent many options to put in my salad, I was not offered nor did I see any black beans. Corn blend looked like it had been sitting out for days. Girl skimped on my salad, I had to ask for more guacamole (she put a tiny gob on top) & dressing, then threw my salad & a cup on a tray & walked away. No youre all set or enjoy your lunch. Both girls working there were rude & trashy, talking about getting tested for TB for a new job. Great conversation to listen to while Im on my lunch break (& I work in the medical field). I shouldve known when at noon on a Friday there were only 2 people eating there.
I love salsaritas for its food and freshness. First and last time Im coming to this location. Older man served small portions and had an attitude while asking what I want. It felt like he didnt want to be here and taking his anger out on the customers. Wont be coming here again.
This place speaks for the worst customer service. Ive been here three times and never have I walked out satisfied. Yesterdays experience topped it all of. Some older guy (w/ glasses on) who was working was extremely rude and he literally threw the food in the bowls.... his whole attitude game definitely was extremely un professional... an employee should never let their customer know theyre having a bad day by being extremely rude and un professional. Hes the reason why Ill never visit location again. AVOID! PS: he served us cold and stale food.
They dont know how to make a taco that stays together and the quality of ingredients isnt quite on par with Chipotle, so the presentation is poor, but it tastes good and the portions are ample. Also, their Southwest ranch makes it a worthwhile trip for me every so often.
Always a mistake when an order is called in. The food does not taste nowhere as good as chipotle. The burrito is only really good when smothered in queso. After 2 called in orders and 1 in person order, I won’t be back. They don’t try to make things right when I called about the mistakes on the carryouts.
Food did not taste good, soda was overly watered down, service was poor and people making the food did not comprehend any of our orders correctly, the steak taco tasted like hamburger with steak flavoring, taco shells tasted like cheap walmart ones, heck the walmart ones taste better to be entirely honest. Chips were bland and tasteless, the salsa dip also tasted worse than walmart brand, i will never be going here ever again.
Ordered food from this place on Grubhub. I ordered 4 tacos. They only made/sent 2. Grubhub tried to contact them but the manager was not there and no one could authorize a refund or replacement. Then, the Grubhub person said the manager would contact me tomorrow to authorize a refund and then said “if they even authorize one.” So I’m out $6 for nothing because this place doesn’t have a manager at it. What an absolute joke.
Awful service! Pre-ordered withDoor Dash for pick up and “Skip the line”. Was ignored. No greeting. No acknowledgement while I stood there. Worker takin care of someone else’s order and then rang them up while I stood there. Another worked walked past me at counter and didn’t say a word. Attempted to express my dissatisfaction and employee couldn’t “hear me”. Impossible! Another employee walked through prep area, again ignored! Called store after departure to talk to manager and no one answered. Rang and rang and rang. Awful experience! Doubtful will ever return.
Had to write a positve review about an amazing young worker Ive had now during multiple visits at this location. One of the young ladies, Naila, always treats my family and young children soo sweet and wonderful each time we stop in. My children actually ask all the time if we can go see the quesadilla queen as she always whips up a mean quesadilla for my little ones :) Its soo refreshing to see a young person enjoying and excelling at a position shes in because unfortunately alot of times that is not the case in food service :(If you go to Salsaritas make sure to ask if the quesadilla queen is there...I promise you and your family will be in for a tasty treat served with a wonderful smile ;)
Cute restaurant & nice people but I prefer the taste of Chipotle. Prices seem to be similar but food just didnt taste good. Everyone has different tastes so it never hurts to try a place once but I dont believe I will eat here again. Chipotle is a mile or two down the road on Hall and Qdoba has a few places around here as well. Try Salsaritas and see which place you prefer or just stick with what you know.
The person who helped me was SO RUDE. He made fun of how i pronounced “spanish” when i asked for spanish rice... he had an attitude for NO REASON, asked me if I wanted a combo in the beginning and I said no, when I asked for chips and queso at the end he had a major attitude once again with “didn’t I ASK you if you wanted a combo?” And proceeded to try to sell me a drink when I told him three times i didn’t want one, even for thirty cents. I will never be coming back, going to qdoba next time for sure..
It was a chilly overcast Saturday. Whilst I cruised down the road in my 1992 Geo fate happened upon me when I spotted a salsaritas and my bowels began to quiver with the anticipation of a fast approaching lunch time. My innards seemed to cry out for Mexican food so I turned in to the establiment far faster than I should have and double parked so no one would park to closely to my pride and joy. As I sprinted inside I pushed aside a elderly woman and her grand daughter to beat them to the lunch line. She scowled at me as her 6 year old traveling partner attempted to help her off the pavement but I was not distracted by her cries of pain. The gods of diarrhea and burning butt holes were surely smiling upon me today as the gentleman in front of me in line forgot his wallet in the car and had to retrieve it, when he returned he DID NOT receive his previous spot in line back. As him and the old woman at the back of the line both starred daggers assumingly plotting my demise together I was too distracted by the jubilee of colors on the menu, though it was in vain because I know what I desired this day. A surge of blood rushed to my penis as I began to to salivate and taste the imenent spices and seasonings via pungent and palpable aromas gracing my nostrils. As I approached the front of the line I recieved a friendly smile from a plump fair skinned blonde boy working in the kitchen. If I had know then that the tacos bore from this golden gods hands would make my taste buds scream with pleasure, I would have dropped to one knee right then and snatched up that cognoscenti of Mexican food. The boy said his name was Tyler. Quite frankly Im appalled and highly offended that this person is not a manager or owns the establishment. Hes an absolute dynamo. If he were a car hed be a spaceship. If he was a house hed be mall of America. As he made my food with the tenderness of a mother tucking in her child our eyes locked. In that moment I envisioned a future filled with tacos and refried beans filling a bathtub as we intwine arms while we feast on our tub contents. He passed me food and our hands grazed. Let me spell this out.... I WILL NEVER EAT ANOTHER TACO AGAIN UNLESS MADE BY THIS EXTRAORDINARY YOUNG MAN. How dare you salsaritas... how dare hide this elite upper echelon of food workers from the world. He deserves to be standing in the sunlight on top of a mountain raining down meat, cheese, pico, lettuce and guac on the world. If hes not given a pay rise by this time next month I will be contacting my bank to take out a large loan so that I may buy salsaritas and promote this young man to operating partner for this franchise. As I sat there eating my food I looked over my shoulder longly at the boy that made my day, nay week, nay month, nay year! God bless you salsaritas for showing this boy his true potential...
I dont know why, but the people at Selfridge thing this place is alright. I think you can game the system and get a lot of food if you go for the nachos, and get a steak topping or something. I dont remember. All I caught was a me too company which should have been already destroyed by Qdoba and Chipotle. Itll be that way soon enough. This place is dead on weekends.

2022-07-29The atmosphere was terrible looks very sad inside and nothing like chipotle. This food was very nasty. do not get the tortilla chips they don’t taste right everything is very bland and still somehow very nasty I did not have a good experience and I would have gotten my money back if I wasn’t incredibly hungry.

2022-06-25My family of 4 got a late dinner tonight. Both my kids got the kids meals, which are a good price and a good amount of food with some variety. My wife got the two taco meal which again was a reasonable price and the right amount of food for her. I got a pork quesorrito and it was delicious! We all like the ability to pick the toppings for our meals. It was a hit for all of us, we will definitely go there again!

2022-06-05I would never come back. The beef wasn’t browned enough and tasted bland. The rice was so mushy and gross. Queso didn’t taste like queso at all. If you think you are not a great cook, I guarantee you can make better Mexican at home. That’s how bad it was. Also the lettuce was wilted brown shredded head lettuce. The only good thing was their mango lime drink. Staff was friendly.

2022-07-01Audibly laughed in line numerous times cause everytime I asked for an item, theyd give a quarter of a serving size and said it was gonna be extra. I had to ask for three extra scoops on four separate items cause the workers were giving such ridiculously tiny portion sizes. Im vegetarian (and dont eat beans) so its not like I was even asking for large or expensive food items, the workers were just being that stingy. The male worker barely sprinkled rice at the bottom of the bowl and eye-rolled when I asked for another scoop. The workers were annoyed that my friend and I even walked in; it was 5:25pm on a slow Friday. I was convinced even the bag, napkins, silverware, and using the door were gonna be extra. After all that, I wish I could say the $25 worth of food for one veggie burrito and one chicken bowl were worth it...but then Id be a liar. Ive been here before, but Ill never be back after that laughable transaction.

2022-07-01That is going to be extra should be the name.Went in with a friend to try something new from our usual. Was extremely disappointed with the experience. Warning to anyone expecting actual portions that match their fello mexican competitors.I ordered a bowl and was given little to no rice and could see the whole bottom. Asked for 2 more scoops and barely had a centimeter just in the center. Was not shocked at how they skimp you on rice due to the fact it was overcooked and mushy. Thats going to be extra. Asked for chicken where he took a scoop, poured most of it out, and placed it in the bowl. Asked for another protein and got shrimp. At least this was a bigger portion than the chicken, even with him thoroughly counting how many dime sized pieces were put into the bowl(probably less than 7). That is going to be extra was the greet to asking for queso. Not even a full scoop... Had to ask for more of pretty much everything in my meal. Bowl equivalent with asking for extra was about a THIRD the size of their competitors. The whole time while putting my food together all I hear is that is going to be extra to my friend in front of me and the person ordering after me. 3 slivers of onions and 1 pepper is not a serving of veggies for someone who didnt even get a protein option.Decided to take it home in the fear that staying and eating there was going to be extraSalsaripoff or That is going to be extra was not worth it. The taste of the food was puzzling because I still cant tell what flavor was so off putting. Sadly, after brushing my teeth the flavor still lingers.Neither of us finished the food and it was not worth 26 dollars. Save your money, time, sanity and go to one of the better known chains. You may be charged extra there, but at least you will get what you paid for.I dont expect an actual response from the owner looking at how they have responded to other reviews. I understand why there were no customers in the building and why the food pans were so full. Is the food that fresh or has it just been sitting out all day due to lack of customers? Fix your food situation or let a better establishment occupy your location...pitiful.I would give another star, but you guessed it, thats going to cost extra.

2022-06-08Fantastic catering for 100!! From the ease of ordering to the price for all the food and extras to the timely, thorough delivery. And all my guests loved the food and had several helpings!! Highly recommend!!!

2022-06-06Very good. Other reviewers should have realistic expectations for a fast-casual restaurant. Compares very favorably to Qdoba and Chipotle, if not better.

2020-08-28Yes, that is the bottom of the bowl you can see on the edges. Ive never seen such scant amounts rice, beans, chicken and toppings. This is even after I asked for more to be put on. First time visitor here. Will be my last as I will drive a little further for my usual bowl. Kids working were very nice though!

2022-07-08Overpriced. Everything cost extra. And they sit there and watch you as you’re paying to see if you leave a tip. Ridiculous! Almost $18.00 for a subpar burrito with nacho chips and a drink. I won’t come back.

2022-07-18Disgusting treatment by employees. This employee i think named elena spot in my food, and when confronted began to scream and attack meverbally. Brad,i believe the other employee, was a good help on holding that crazy lady back. Dont come here
