Comment: The white guy in front desk for parts should put the sign closed if it is closed.I arrived here 4:33 on Saturday May 11 to buy some engine oils and some parts and he said it is closed and this and that.Either he is not happy to see a customer come in or he is in distress mood for something.I am writing this review after coming here for service and maintenance from 2018.And It’s been great I know few people there from service advisor Eugene(Great guy)and David(Cool Guy).

Comment: I think it was Chris that helped me with my 6:30am or 7am appointment and he was fast and offered immediate help with a mechanic (mid age asian guy who speaks very good english) to make sure my car has the correct issue before undergoing inspections and warranty before heading to work. I got in and out within 10 mins. I always prefer coming to this location than Daly City, which is closer to me because of the service here. 5 Stars to everybody here, including the Asian guy who works inside the building who dealt with my paint warranty. I forgot his name, but he looks like mid-30s, and hes super efficient and fast. I got in and out in 10 mins after visiting my ID and credit card.I will be back!

Comment: I had the pleasure of working with Eugene for the past 5 years or so. Eugene gave me his business number which made it easy to communicate whenever I had an issue with my car. He normally is able to take me in the very same day. I don’t know much about cars, but Eugene always made me feel like he had my best interest at heart. He gave me thorough run down of everything and always gave me the best price he could. On top of that, he always went above and beyond’s by providing me Ubers to get to, and from the service center. That’s because not every Toyota service centers equal for example, Toyota Capital, in San Jose, one it’s really worst Customer Service. (based on my experience in San Francisco Toyota my Service advisor name Adrian . Excellent customer service. Also I love the way they talk to customer. It’s very important to be understand where the customer come from and try to do your best in my case Adrian passed all acceptation.(again thank you so much great team) everybody is very friendly and professional. I guess part of it goes to the significant higher overhead (multiple people managing phones and shepherding cars)…

They are transparent and professional.On one of my visits, someone left black marks on my car interior, they were not big but noticeable on white interior. I wiped them off and called it a day. But I got an email to provide feedback on the visit so I mentioned the black marks. They got back to me almost immediately to offer me a free complimentary interior detailing on my next visit. Comment: I was ripped off twice, The first time they talked me into a anti theft shield for my catalytic converter after it was stolen on Haight St. one afternoon. Didnt really want one but the servicemen persisted and talked me into it. It was very expensive but replacing the catalytic converter again would be even more. Anyway long story short, to months later it was stolen again and the shield didnt even slow them down. They easily went right through it.Second time, I wanted an estimate to replace my coolant flow control valve, I knew what the problem was and did not need diagnosis. I left the car there and an hour later they told me it would be at minimum $1150 for the replacement. I said no way and went back to pick up my car and they would not release it until I paid them 233 dollars for doing exactly nothing at all. I took it to another mechanic who wanted 475 for the same work but after watching a Youtube video, I decided to do it myself. It took me about an hour and was not difficult. Toyota makes great cars but this place is a rip off and I am never going back.

Even more ridiculous, they quoted $169 for filling up the brake fluid container (which was slightly below the max level). All they had to do was pour the break fluid which would have taken 10 seconds (the 12oz OEM brake fluid goes for $11.75 on Amazon)

I must congratulate the service center manager Bing Li for hiring such super stars. As I have said to many of my friends over the last 35 years you will spend about an hour or 2 with the sales person, thats not where your focus should be but focus should be on the service center that you will be dealing with for years to come. The car is not mine but I envy the owner for having people working so diligently. Comment: I was hesitant to go to dealer services because Ive had bad experiences with other locations in the past, including pressure for unnecessary services.The San Francsisco Toyota Service Center on Geary earned our business when they very professionally addressed an insurance claim to replace a stolen catalytic converter on our 2007 Prius. This included installing a shield to reduce risk of future theft. The service for the whole experience was outstanding.The shop earned our trust this week when they completed an oil change and safety inspection. Their inspection caught a worn drive belt as well as grease that was leaking from ball joints. While no one wants to have to an expensive repair, it wasnt surprising given the age and wear on the car. Their mechanics spent hours bleeding rust from the joints, confirming that it was the right choice, saving us from a potentially catastrophic failure.I compared their prices on parts and labor to other shops, and my estimates indicate that they offer solid value for hard parts and labor, especially when you factor in the cost of labor in SF. I would very easily recommend them to a friend or family member.Also, their pandemic best practices are on point. Every employee had a mask and distanced appropriately. Plexi barriers and hand sanitizer were available at check in stations.Quick note to the manager: the surgical masks for COVID are not sufficient for the horrible air quality we experienced. With an open air shop, you need to provide your employees with proper PPE. The air quality required N95 masks for long-term exposure during Unhealthy and Hazardous days. Youre doing everything else so well, please make sure to address this oversight.

Comment: I want to give a shout out to Richard Ngyuen for exceptional service. Drop off was quick and easy. At 10:15am, the parking lot was packed to the brim even with stacked parking. There were only 4 more spots left. I made an appointment online for a recall for my car and it took about 2 hours to update the software. Of course dealerships would charge a premium for maintenance but at least this place has great service. Everyone is really friendly. So I would come here for Toyota SPECIFIC maintenance/repair or recalls (such as the hybrid system). Other than that I would go somewhere else.

Comment: I’ve been coming here for years and usually work with Tony Wang or Geoff B. They’ve been extremely helpful and friendly and they make sure I get what I need done on my 2007 Prius and stay within my budget.More recently, my catalytic converter got stolen and I had no idea what to do or even where to begin. I called the shop and Tony walked me through everything and went above and beyond to help me through the process. Since I live nearby the shop, one of the workers came to my apartment to pick my car up and drive it back to the shop for me. My insurance company (Anchor General - I do NOT recommend this insurance company) was just god awful and difficult to work with but Tony took care of everything and was on top of it all. Getting my car vandalized was awful, but Tony made it as great of an experience as it could be, I really appreciated his hard work and commitment to helping me get my car fixed and evaluated. He even dealt with my awful insurance company for me and took care of the lyft costs.I always bring my car here when its time for maintenance or if it needs work done because I trust the people who work here and since it’s tied to the dealership I don’t need to worry about them messing something up and then needing more work done to fix someone else’s screw ups (which I’ve seen happen repeatedly to my friends when they were trying to save money. It’s just basic “penny wise, pound foolish” attitude).I find it very convenient to just drop my car off for an appointment in the morning, then they’ll order me a lyft so I can go to work, then they text me when it’s ready and they’ll call me another lyft after I’m done with work so I can pick my car back up at the end of the day. No fuss, no stress, and good communication. Plus, they usually try to give me a bit of a discount when they can since they’re awesome.

I send the car for mandatory recall on Monday before the Thanksgiving. They need to reset the computer so they remove the positive side of the battery. However they didnt tighten it back property so it was loosened at some point on the way home. I was unable to start my car the next day until I open the hood and spotted the loosed terminal. Small hiccup but definitely a reminder of a work-overloaded workshop isnt the workshop to go.

When they were finished they found nothing wrong, but asked me to come back in 1200 miles just to be sure. Comment: Through my driving life, Ive dealt with over 8 vehicle purchases for myself and family/friends. Im the car guy in my family so when it comes to purchasing a car, Im usually a hawk at doing research for vehicle, features, pricing etc. Hands down San Francisco Toyota gave me the best deal and least hassle for my 2012 Sienna. In 2012 I was doing my research to pick one up for the wife after I had just moved to the west coast for a new job, my wifes lease was up on her corolla and we had 1.5 year old at the time and it was hard to get her in and out of the car seat. I looked at all minivans and was adamant about getting all wheel drive just in case we moved back to the east coast for snow and/or rain, also being a Muslim, it is against my religion to pay or take interest (similar to Orthodox Jews) and at the time there were incentives for 0% for 60 months on the Sienna. The Sienna was the only van to meet my criteria of all wheel drive and no interest. I lived in Santa Rosa at the time, about 1 hour north of San Francisco. I had started my job in end of April (the 30th I think) and started looking and calling around to all dealers that had the vehicle I was looking for in their inventory from Santa Rosa to San Francisco. All dealers quoted me different things for the same packages, San Francisco Toyota was the lowest, I was wary that they might be low-balling me because of laws in Cali that dont require them to honor an emailed quote, it has to be on paper. So I ask around other dealers quoted close but not the same. 2 weeks into my new job, my parents called me and informed me that my father who was diagnosed and operated on and treated for cancer for the past 9 years was going to be put in hospice care and that there was nothing else they could do for him. So I had to fly back to the east coast and put the vehicle purchase on hold. After 2 weeks being on the east coast and my father somewhat stabilizing after an intense first week in hospice I flew back to my new job. I got back in contact with the various dealers that had quoted me different prices and the one dealership I had contacted 2 weeks early in the same month changed their pricing and jacked it up on me telling me that demand went up. I followed up with San Francisco Toyota and Sabrina and Tani kept the same quote which was still the best quote I had received. I followed up with them and met them in person I had a rental car they kept their word on their price and they were extremely pleasant to deal with. Tani took me to return the rental car and shared with me his personal experience with a close relatives passing when I mentioned what i was dealing with and he was very supportive and understanding. It wasnt just a car deal, it was a great human experience with people that care that arent out to rob you for you money and keep their word. I was so impressed that I had promised them a good review and more than 2 years later I am giving this review because of the impact they had. I have their magnet on my fridge even though it for the 2013 calendar year and everytime I look at it I remind myself that i have to get around to doing that review because I promised and because they made my life easier during one of the most difficult times of my life. I am thankful to God for putting them in my path and in case youre curious, I am also thankful to mention that my father lived till September of 2012. Recently San Francisco Toyota contacted me to purchase my Sienna back, but we moved back to the east coast earlier this year. If I buy another Toyota, I might still consider purchasing from them and shipping it just because of that great experience. I was pretty upset, because my 11-year-old car had been hit and so badly damaged that the insurance company declared it a total loss. As a result, I was under pressure to find a new car fast. Alex Tsan was extremely professional and very helpful in my search. He went the extra mile, driving the Prius to my home, only to find it was difficult to park in my tiny garage. Back to SF Toyota to pick up the Prius c, which fit my garage nicely. I would highly recommend San Francisco Toyota and Alex Tsan to anyone looking for a Toyota.

Comment: My girlfriends 19 year old car was stolen. It was time to get a new one. We created a list of the cars we thought she might like. We were interested in the Prius c and a couple of Scion models. We visited SF Toyota to check out these vehicles. Stephen Prasompetch helped us with the test drive. He stayed well past the dealers closing hour to allow us to drive each of the models we were considering.When the dust settled we decided on a Prius c. We decided to purchase the car from Stephen because we had such a positive experience working with him. Of course he wanted our business but there was absolutely no pressure to buy. He was simply there to assist us with the process (which he did magnificently).Stephen did a great job prepping the car for us. He personally detailed the car to make sure it was in pristine condition upon delivery. Comment: I wanted to buy a Prius but needed some hand holding to get me comfortable with my purchase, the options, is it best for me etc. I went to the Toyota on Van Ness and it wasnt a very good experience. I had to wait for anyone to talk to me and when I did talk to them they just gave me a print out of a what a new car would cost. Not helpful. I decided to go to other car manufactures and explore other hybrid brands. I went to 3 other places but my mind kept coming back to the Prius. Avoiding the Van Ness location I went to the dealer on Geary. And they were great there. All of them. Alex Tsan was AWESOME and really went out of his way while not being pushy. and I bought a Prius which i am very happy about. so THANK YOU!

Comment: Not to be disappointed, purchasing our third vehicle from SF Toyota couldnt have been any more trouble free! William Lui treated us with the same focused concern he has shown in the past. Even with our indecision on what vehicle to purchase this time, William ran the numbers for them using two model years and various options. We were treated to touring the off site warehouse to locate a proposed vehicle and to our delight we found one that exceeded our expectation. We went in and discussed what we were looking for with salesperson Larry Lim and he indicated he could get a couple vehicles that fit our descriptions in for us to test drive. We went back in a couple days and he had the vehicles there ready for us to examine. We test drove and decided upon which one we wanted. Larry got the vehicle prepped and ready for us to pick up the next morning, as well as having the paperwork ready to go then too. He spent an hour going over the vehicle accessories with us before we drove it home. Larry was very accommodating and knowledgeable. We were extremely pleased.

I was driving a Sienna van for 10 years, and our family had literally driven the van into the ground. I was in a rush to replace my dead/dying vehicle and immediately got in touch with Ryan Askew to see what kind of deal he could offer me for a trade-in on my old road warrior, as well as a hurry-up deal on a new Highlander. Mitch Pulver was patient as he explained the features of the car, the differences between the various Prius models, and what customers think about the Prius. He took the time to answer all of our questions and really demonstrate the great features of the car, without making any hard sell. Both Mitch and Mike La, the Sales Manager, provided us with quotes in the exact format we requested and in a way that was friendly and, importantly, transparent. When we left the dealership, they were friendly and encouraged us to shop around. When we returned the next day, they created the right deal for us. We met Melissa Chiu in the showroom and she went with us test driving two different models, explaining all about each car. She was very knowledgeable, professional and friendly. We decided on the 2013 Toyota Camry SE, but they didnt have the color we wanted. No problem! Gil Wever got on the phone and located just what we wanted from another dealer. We went to lunch and when we returned the new car was on the lot and we got the paperwork done. Comment: As this was to be my first automobile purchase, I did an extensive amount of personal research and some soul searching before I decided. I do not have money to throw around and wanted to be sure to get a good deal, but I also did not want a vehicle I would regret buying. I heard great things about Toyota and especially the hybrid Prius model. I did some online research on the fuel economy and safety features of the Prius and found I could afford the Prius C. Next I looked at the creature comforts: seats, navigation, audio, moonroof, power amenities, etc. When I felt ready, I reviewed the Toyota official website to find Sammy Lee. I emailed Sammy, and he responded right away. That showed his enthusiasm to help me. I met him to see Prius C models and test drove a C 3. Sammy explained the difference between C 3 and C 4 which helped me decide on the C 4. His patience with all my questions made the sales experience easy and relaxing. Sammy even laughed at my jokes, which is always a plus in my book. After deciding on the vehicle, Sammy helped me decide on financing. I asked him to calculate how much the total cost of the vehicle would be if i paid cash or financed for 60 months. Once again his patience made the process pain free. I now have my first automobile, and it is economic, safe and fun. My experience with Sammy and his dealership was pleasant and rewarding. I would highly recommend Sammy and his dealership to anyone who wants a great car at a great price.

However, I have a second thought due to the size and also my wife concerns that. It is a big rig. So I started to look into this 2013 RAV4. When I left home Saturday morning, I did not expect to actually purchase the car that day. Frankly, I was not looking forward to dealing with a dealership and had preferred to purchase from a private party. But I had been unable to find the car I wanted and so resigned myself to what I feared would be a high pressure and potentially deceptive sales pitch.I was pleasantly surprised to find just the opposite. Ryan was helpful, well informed, and low key. He listened to what I wanted and tried to be helpful. I didnt buy the car I came to see but instead another of the same make, model and year but with fewer miles and Toyota certification. It cost more but he provided sufficient information to convince me that it was worth extra money. I never felt any pressure to make a hurried decision or to make an impulse purchase.I am delighted with the car and with the sales experience and commend Ryan for his professionalism and assistance. His business card says he is a Sales Consultant. "Consultant" is an apt description.

Comment: I bought online though USAA - the process was easy and quick. Sam was our salesperson; he was extremely responsive, very easy to talk to, knowledgeable, and made sure that we knew the ins-and-outs of the vehicle before leaving. There was no hard up-sell on any additional features, no haggling, and no pressure of any kind. They respected the fact that I knew what I wanted. The entire process took less than 90 minutes, of which probably 30 minutes was spent inspecting and learning about the car. I bought my first car in 1984, this was hands down the most pleasant car buying experience Ive ever had. I would definitely recommend them, and will definitely consider them first in the future even though they arent the closest dealer to me in the South Bay.

Comment: I have never bought or even test drove a Toyota until now. I was interested in purchasing a smaller vehicle, since my 10 year old Honda minivan was guzzling a bit too much gas for my liking. And before that vehicle I had a Honda Civic EX. I initially went to the Colma Toyota to narrow down what vehicle I wanted. I wouldve purchase a car there if they were not constantly calling me almost everyday and their salesmen there had no email assigned to them to communicate personally which is my preferred method of communication. I had a friend who bought a Prius C from SF Toyota who stated that there were no sales pressure at all. I went to SF Toyota with my two minor children and believe me, I was nervous since I never bought a car by myself. As soon as I step into their lot, Sales Consultant Chris Brunson, approached me without the oozing of used car salesman, and asked if he could help me. I told him that I was thinking about a Prius or a Camry Hybrid. Immediately he asked if I wanted to test drive the cars to determine which one I like. He was patiently answering all my questions. At the end I thanked him and told him that I need to take it all in and figure out which car I preferred. There was absolutely no pressure from him to buy their car or rushed me to make a decision. I told him that it is refreshing not to feel pressured and he said he believed that it is his job to educate the consumer as best as he can and let the consumer decide on their own since it is a big purchase. I ended up with a Prius2 with 0% interest for 3 years and I LOVE it. I bought the car at the end of August and it was one of their vehicle on sale. Do your homework on pricing first if you want the best deal possible.

Comment: I recently bought a 2012 Yaris from Chris Brunson at SF Toyota. It was pretty much a done deal before I even walked in because Id been driving a rental Yaris and it was perfect for me. I walked in the showroom and within a couple minutes was talking to Chris, telling him I could drive anywhere to get the best deal on my car and that I thought the car buying process was shady. He was great. Said that with the internet there was so much more transparency about pricing compared to when I last purchased a car 10 years ago and that they would provide me with websites to confirm fair pricing. I checked in with my brother who has sold new cars and he agreed with what Chris said about pricing. When I met with Chris to sort out the final price I really appreciated his understanding of my dislike of non firm pricing, explaining how Scion has what is called True Pricing. I really felt like he was up-front and honest in our dealings. And, when I discovered that my BRAND NEW CAR was scratched by my friends dog the body shop guy buffed it out right then in 5 minutes!!! Very easy service, loved that. I have passed Chriss name on to a friend because I want her auto shopping experience to be as comfortable as mine was.

Comment: After two years of trying to convince my wife that a Sienna would be the best next vehicle for our family, we ended up having a third kid and thus ended up at our neighborhood Toyota dealer.This wasnt by coincidence though - we looked extensively online at dealerships throughout the state and found that SF Toyota had consistent positive reviews on service and price so we thought why not go local.I called in and made my first introduction to Andre Norman Jr. A very knowledgeable and responsive guy who accommodated our crazy new schedule. We scheduled our test drive which was so thorough that we even got a chance to see if the Sienna would fit into our garage (it does :). Andre walked my wife through pretty much every detail on the car as she needed some final convincing and sure enough Toyota has thought of just about everything a family could need.We ended up mulling the deal over a long weekend and pretty much handled all of our negotiations via text messages which lessened any of the tension that can happen between sales and buyer. The deal that we landed on equaled any other that we were able to find across the state making us glad that we did decide to go local with our business.At every step of the way Andre was thorough in his response and quick to reply. Weve now had the vehicle for a couple of weeks and Andre continues to check-in to make sure that we are completely satisfied.By far the best car shopping experience weve ever had!

Comment: I just bought a Toyota Sienna LE from this dealership over the July 4th weekend, and I have experienced a wonderful hospitality and patience from the dealer and the staff, Mr. Victor Kim. This is the third new car I ever own in my life. I was previously a Honda owner for both the Honda Accord and Honda Odyssey before I finally decided to go with Toyota Sienna van at this dealership. Typically, I would classify myself as a somewhat difficult customer, because I always wanted to test out the product thoroughly before I make the final purchase. Mr. Kim was very patient. He answered everyone of my questions with kindness, even the stupid one. When it was time for him to hand over the vehicle to me, he enthusiatically went through every inspection of the vehicle to my satisfaction. He taught me the basic operation of the vehicle and the expectations that go along with it. He assisted me in programming the blue tooth communication for my cell phone. He did the follow up, scheduling my next auto service appointment.The only deficit I can find is the waiting time was long. It takes almost 2 hours to do the paperwork, to wait for the available cashier. But the courtesy was outstanding. The beverages like coffee, tea is mediocre, standard, nothing fancy. I expected more from in this area, but it is okay for me. I was here to shop for the car, not the beverages. Also, the trade-in value for my car is a little low. But what do you expect? Car dealer always offered the bottom price. It is best if you can sell the old car on your own. Too bad, I am too lazy and dont want to spend the time.But the bargain was great. I was able to get the Sienna Van for much less than the MSRP, even below the average pay from other customer survey. It was a red-tag one that the dealer want to clear it from the lot. I paid $26,588.00 for the Sienna LE 3.5L 8 Passenger (with only standard equipment; with only a few optional accessories). I believe it is a good deal, unless someone is kind enough to tell me otherwise. The dealer was kind enough to throw in the 2 year free Toyota Care for maintenance service, and the 2 year roadside assistance service.I now enjoyed driving the vehicle. It is running great. I like the color white, but the one I got is black, and it is the only red-tag left. I love the interior. I am thinking of getting the crossbar rack and the cargo box for my next trip to Southern California in August.Well see..God bless...sl

Comment: Ive purchased and leased more than 8 vehicles from various dealerships throughout Northern California. The process at SF Toyota and service you get from the friendly staff here is incredible.Buying or leasing a vehicle can be stressful and daunting. The people at SF Toyota make it as pleasant an experience you can have despite the fact that its a massive purchase.
