Comment: Me & my boyfriend came from Arizona to Carlsbad to stay at this lovely motel. We stayed in room 121 and it was clean and quiet. We enjoyed our trip/stay. We cant complain. Well definitely be back.😊😊😊 Thank you for your wonderful customer service.Side note: There are train tracks behind the motel but if youre a deep sleeper you wont hear it late at night. If youre a light sleeper eat some edibles, youll be fine.

Comment: This is a nice clean motel and very clean. The bed is very comfortable and can sleep comfortably. However, there are trains that roll by during the early mornings that may wake you up. I overall stay was about 3 stars 🌟.

Comment: My rooms hairdryer had hair in it and was broken and did not work, multiple holes in the wall with toilet paper in it. bad wifi connection and plus I paid 350 dollars for the nicest room.

Comment: I had had a low expectation of this place but I was positively surprised. We arrived late (around 22:00), yet the check-in process was smooth. The lady at the reception was smiling and helpful. Our room was big and clean, a washroom was recently renovated and was better than in some high-end hotels. Beds were comfy enough to provide a good quality sleep. Wireless internet and the TV set worked well. Its location was also very good, i.e. near the city centre and the beach (walking distance).To summarise: an excellent value for €67 for three adults. Would definitely go there again.

Comment: Worst hotel I ever stayed at for one night they asked me to prove my dog was a ESA animal tried to charge me a $200 deposit and if you lose the room key or miss placed it it’s $20 per key walls are dirty staff is rude. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anybody you’re better off staying at the motel 6 because all they want to do is take your deposit money

Comment: Do not stay here! Customer Service is terrible, things dont work, rooms were dirty and needed repair. We arrived 4 hours before check in and was willing to pay the $20 dollar extra fee for early check in as posted on their website. The lady at the front desk said it was $30 an hour. I told her their website said $20 fee. She then said she would accept $20 an hour. I then showed her their website an she said she would call the manager. He said he would honor the $20 early check in. We got to our room it was very cramped. It was very tight to walk between the bed and then dresser, very difficult to move around with 2 adults and 2 children. The room had spots where the drywall was peeling, the were large spots where someone touched up with a different color paint, the comforter had large holes in them from burns, and the shower enclosure had cracks in the tiles. I went to take a shower and the hot water didnt work, I told the front office and she said they had been working on it, and to let it run 20 minutes before getting in. I did that and it didnt work. I told the front desk again and she said she would send someone to fix it right now. We went out to eat and got back 2 1/2 hours later and it still didnt work. The next day, after we got in from a long day at Sea world, it still was not working. I went to the front desk and they said they would send someone right now to fix it. I waited over a hour. I then called front desk and told her that no one showed up to fix it. She said that the maintenance man had to eat dinner first before repairing shower. I told her I had been waiting 2 days to have hot water fixed. She said she could send someone to fix it. I ended up telling her not to send anyone, because at this point we were tired and I didnt know if and when they would show up to fix it.

Comment: Walking distance 1/2 mile to Carlbad beach, surfboard/ wetsuit rental, restaurants/ nightlife. Perfect for me just for a few days of surfing.

Comment: This was a hard decision for 2 or 3 stars. I would rank it a 2.5 and rounded up this time. Location was good because you can easily walk to get food or even to the beach if you dont mind a little walk. Only bad with the location it the train runs very close and is loud but you get use to it. Service is fine the front desk lady was nice and the only interaction with any staff was check in and out. They give you one remote and one swipe key when you check in. If you want another key thats extra so that was a little odd. Parking was good and was able to park right in from of our room.Now for the room itself. It was small but thats expected. We had 2 queen beds that seemed clean and motel level of comfort. There was a TV, little fridge and wall mounted heater-ac unit. The bathroom was stocked with towels and the shower worked perfectly fine. The toilet seemed to take forever to fill after flushing but it worked. The mini fridge and wall heater (never used ac) were loud as heck when they would run. So if you need them you need to get use to that. The walls of this place are paper thin I woke up at 3am to the neighbors getting home and it sounded like they were in our room because of how clear I could hear them. A little while later I woke up again to them lets say having a conversation I felt like I was included because of how clear I could hear them and how the wall and my bed were actually moving. It wasnt a long conversation but that is a first for me. If this was the cheapest option I would still book it but its got to be the cheapest by a good amount.

Comment: Its O.K. for a night. The walk to the beach is just a few minutes so that is a huge plus for this motel. Also the bathroom is clean and modern-ish. Towels are clean.If you get the rooms next to the street it might get a bit loud even at night time. The bed is also clean but a bit small, old and loud. The floor also seen better days. Other then that this is a okay motel, nothing fancy and good for a night.

Comment: Good motel. At the price they ask here, getting a suite is not possible in other locations. Efficient and quick check in, friendly service, clean and tidy in the received room, want more. I write this motel on a secret list and as soon as I am in the area I will stay here again.

Comment: Very, very, very thin walls. You will be able to smell what your neighbor is eating and hear what they are saying.🤦♀️ Limited parking. There is mold in the bathroom and NO HOT water in the sink. The train makes a the windows shake once in a while but not a big deal.🤣 Service is ok. Location is amazingly convenient.

Comment: The couple that works in the office are amazig people. They were very nice to me and my son during our stay the only down side was 250 dollar pet deposit plus 25 dollars a day for my sons service animal. Ive never had any issues anywhere with having a service animal this place asks for doctors paper work for my sons service animal and since Im out here from Arizona I dont have access to the paper work and cant get it faxed till the doctor gets back in the office 4 days later so I paid a total of $425.00 for a service animal to stay a week in this motel.

Comment: I made a reservation and when I went into the office to check in they told me my card was declined and they had no more rooms. I was about to leave, but I went back into the office to tell them not to charge my card and then they said oh, wait we have a room open. I decided to take the room and Im not sure if I should have stayed here after seeing the rooms. Theyre very dirty (just look at all the pictures) and Im sure they dont wash the top bed sheets. Sink drainage has problems and some of the clean towels had hair on them. The walls are very thin and you can hear people having conversations in connecting rooms. Welp, I guess you get what you pay for, but it can still be a little cleaner though.

Comment: This is one of the cheaper options in the are for a reason. The gentleman did not speak English well, resulting in much confusion over the phone. We originally booked two rooms for our group. Due to a problem with our credit card, the payment did not go through. During the call the problem was fixed and we asked if we were all set for both rooms. He answered yes. When we got there he said we only had one room booked. For the second room he tried to say they had already checked in. That was not the case considering that couple was standing right next to us. Without checking he told us he did not have any other rooms available, so we needed to share one. The room we got had a broken AC and stains on the comforter (pictures attached). He was unwilling to do any kind of discount or customer service.

Comment: Best Beach Bungalow I! Walking distance to quiet beach. is remodelled, clean, no smell, comfortable beds, wood shutters and wood floor licated in quaint historical setting just a 5 minute walk around the back of Army Navy Academy. Best value in price for location . So Cal! I just tried it on a whim and will definitely be back!Off the main drag in the historical district. Lush green Magee Park, water well, Veterans Memorial, and original adobe fire house as well as Army Navy Academy.Hotelbr/>Koko Beach Restaurant is my favorite affordable seafood spot. Locals eat here! Only downsides: weak internet so use your hotspot! Internet goes in and out! No breakfast just coffee, but has good size mini fridge and microwave in room. Busy street to cross if you have little ones.

Comment: Solid 4+ for the price they ask. Walking distance to all entertainment, relatively quite, recently renovated, exceptionally clean. Little funny inconvenient things here and there, like: there are no table lights just the bright pot lights, we ended up using tv us a source of cozy light :). But I would stay here again.
