First time there today, staff was friendly
Called today(saturday) at 2:40 pm to see if they had a part or at least the vehicle I needed the part from. I was told that parts actually close at 230 not 3 like the rest of the business. I could have made it there before 3, but they wouldnt sell me parts even if I did. And basically to come Monday at 830 in the morning. I am leaving Sunday night to go out of town and no parts place stocks what I need. Will NEVER buy from this place again.
New owners. You can get more $ at different yards, but this is the only one in town. If you want your wheels and tires they will make you bring a jack, even though they can easily pick up the car. I know they ask have to say the same thing over and over, but you have to understand that we are following the rules others put in place, so we dont know them as well as you, so please ask nicely regardless of how many time you have to ask during the day, no need for the attitude when checking out.

Recently replaced a 700# stainless steel refrigerator at my restaurant. Called Scrap Dog inquiring if they knew someone who might be interested in taking it. The polite young woman told me she would look into it and took my information. Two days later a gentleman called and later came and got the fridge. It was a win-win for everyone. Thank you, Scrap Dog!!!
I had a emergency blow out to a tire rt out front I pull in the parking lot and a employee comes out and tells me if I have a tire they will put it on for me for $10 or so so I get on the phone and have a friend bring me my spare 25 minutes away only to have them tell me they cant do it because I didnt buy the tire there so Im like ok fine I will buy one only to find out they dont have one but still they cant help in a EMERGENCY
I took a chance and drove almost 3 hours because they said they had the right engine and it ran good. They had it pulled in no time flat and when it was in the truck it fired first try and ran smooooooth! Very happy with my experience there and would highly recommend them.....did I meant they were half the price of my local junk yards.....
Scrap dog is awesome, the gentleman in the yard helped us unload, we got a great rate and their security measures are excellent! I’ll be back for sure

Pleasant staff.Parking lot could be a bit better. Cars park wherever. But overall , its the place to go to to scrap metal

Customer service was good but the part I came for was litteraly buried and broken. Much less of a parts place a more a scrap yard these days.
Apparently if they dont know you, you go to the back of the line. Stopped in and waited at the counter for about 2 minutes as the bald guy pretended to be working. Looked up at me and called the guy that pulled in after I got to the counter by name and waited on him. Apparently he was more important than the customer that had been waiting. Second time this happened here and the last time I will ever go here.

They dont pay fair scrap price this is my 3rd time having to take back my scrap and go elsewhere tody i was offerd 173 dollars less for scrap then i got at Michaels in howell big differnce from155 they offere from the 328 i got

Helpful on the phone and when you go in. They recycled a fridge and paid us for scrap. They offer car batteries and used tires as well. Conveniently located right near the north road torrey road exit off of us-23.

Great place to get some cash for your recycling goods. Friendly staff and clean office. Much better than the old car car salvage yard that used to be there.

The employees were all very rude, I was even yelled at for wanting parts off of an old car in the scrap yard that one employee had decided was his.

First time ever at scrap Dog , the weight station and drop off area is easy to get in and out, and all the staff were friendly and helpful.

I will never go there again. They call them self a junk yard they got that right because they sell nothing but junk. The ems driver that works there selling parts is not very smart

Called to make sure they recycle cardboard, they stated that yes they did, break down the cardboard load it up and bring it there and when I get there they make up excuse to not take it.
Looks like I have to drive to Howell to get friendly service and parts that I need.

I called them for a part. They told it was available and in good condition. I drove over 50 miles for it to find it was damaged and rusted.Do not trust this shop.

2022-03-31They were more than fair when we turned in our collection of metals...we were racing the clock to get done and there before they closed, so much of the load wasnt cleaned enough to hit top dollar. But they still considered the material and even help pull a few things apart to get closer to what we where trying to get... Good people and i would recommend them to anyone in the recycling game

2022-03-24Gave my son the green light to dump. He dumped and never gave him his money. She is yhe rudest person I ever met. She has no right to be in business . I am 67 years old and she was a _____. There was no talking to her. I can Not say enough bad things about this business.

2021-07-10Dave and Allen were a huge help to me today! I sent my wife and her dad to drop off a trailer load because I had to go in to work. My wife had never been to Scrap Dogs and Allen helped them navigate, unload and basically took care of everything. Appreciate the service!

2021-03-10I totally agree with all of the negative reviews. Very poor customer service & rude attitudes from the women working the window. I recommend avoiding this place for anything.Went to the Fenton location to get a remanufactured battery. I immediately noticed the rude attitude of the woman behind the window. I told her I dont know much about batteries and she told me it was the customers responsibility to match mine with one they had. Ive never had to match up batteries before so asked for some help and she refused, which I thought was a lousy response. I found one I thought would work but unfortunately the cables werent long enough to reach the terminals. Took it back the next day with my receipt which reads 90 day exchange with receipt to exchange it for one that would work. They refused to exchange it because there wasnt anything wrong with it and they told me it was up to me to make a correct match (same woman working the window). All they had to do was exchange it for one of the several on the shelf that would work but they refused. This is how they do business and treat their customers. I suspect they wont have many very soon when word gets around.The woman with glasses working the window has no business working in customer service. I can imagine all the business lost due to her.

2021-09-17They dont buy copper at the current price. Called 4 places and was getting prices of $3.30-3.49lb. Scrap Dog in Fenton said they are paying $3.10lb. Youre better off driving a little further to get better price.
