Comment: Very clean property. Was able to get a ground floor unit with easy access. Hallway is well lighted and the unit itself is very clean. Property is accessible with security and individual codes. Management was great when I checked in and are on site to assist if needed 🙂

And to add the people that would live in there unit and do drugs. Very secure and professional storage company .

Comment: Ive been renting a storage unit for quite a few years and have been through a lot of managers but the pair of guys working there now are about the nicest that Ive had the pleasure of meeting. I ran into some problems with my rent going up and the loss of my job and had to abandon my storage unit. They were considerate and understanding. They didnt make me feel worse than what I already did. They slso have really cleaned up and secured the rental units. I recommend Security Public Storage if you want to deal with nice managers, good security and reasonable rents.

The only complaints. 1) the elevator was broken so we had a hard time carrying heavy items upstairs to the upper level. 2) The units are hot as hell. Like a sauna. One of the guys I paid to help almost passed out. Had to sit in the truck with the a/c on to cool down. I cant give five stars because of that.

Comment: This is the worst business to do business with- I had reserved a storage unit and paid in full, then less than an hour later I had a change of plans and called back to ask for a refund after not needing the unit after all and now I’ve been waiting for over a month to get my $152.00 back. I have called and spoke to the manager 4 times now who assured me he passed it into corporates hands and I still have not received my money back. Worst business service ever. And the kicker is, that over a 20 year period I have used them several times for different units- handed them fistsfulls of money over the years, and they can’t pay me one little refund that they owe me. Get it together people. Thumbs down.I am still waiting to be paid- since March 13th- it’s now May 1st. Not a refund in sight. I can’t believe this is your business practice, being that your business is built on timely monthly payments .

When we went to empty our unit, we opened it to find 90% of our belongings with water damage and covered with mold. When the front desk employee was notified, they couldnt care less about the damage.

Comment: I’ve had my stuff for one month now and I’m not satisfied with this storage facility. I went in today to pick up some stuff I needed and found one my bags with electronics wet. I don’t know how the water got in the bag if it was perfectly closed. My PS4, Nintendo switch, my controllers, and cables were all damaged and wet. I wouldn’t recommend this storage to anyone.

Comment: My girlfriend cancelled her storage unit (With everything moved out) on may first and then they charged her and said we charge on May first in the morning so she asked for a prorated refund and they said they couldnt do it, which im not mad about whatever but then she asked to leave her stuff there then for the rest of the month and they said sorry we cant do that cause we put a lock on it already?!?!?! so you charged her for the month but wont let her keep her stuff in there? and when she asked for corporate phone number they said they cant give that out, but its on the web!!! terrible customer service! currently in the process of working with corporate but they never respond quickly either.UPDATE:-------I called the place for my girlfriend again, and we kind of quarreled back and forth. Then they told us to call corporate to dispute it with them. About an hour later they called us and disputed it with corporate for us. I know this because, I witnessed this. I recently had a unit there and upon moving out of a unit there were rat droppings all over my unit and boxes. My boxes were torn n chewed. Comment: Do Not Rent A Storage Unit Here! Have kept my stuff here probably since 2016 with no real problems. Recently went to pull some items out of storage and when I open my unit, the stench of feces hits me in the face and all my stuff is covered in animal droppings! Immediately shut the door and left. Now I need to find time to completely empty the storage and find another location, on top of making sure Im completely protected in safety gear so i dont catch something or worse get attacked by whatever left the droppings in the first place. Cant wait to see how much of my belongings I need to throw out because of this. This is why all storage facilities should be active in pest control. Wish I could give this place a negative star.

I already had my rental truck in waiting, but needed to secure a storage unit. Online ads and pricing were all over the place, so I was starting to get discouraged. They not only were the 1st to respond, (even on a day that we were having thunderstorms)... But they offered me an online coupon for 50% off for 6 mos. And, it was on the ground floor, for easier access and ease of moving, which is what I was hoping for. Unit was clean, and secure, Metal walls etc, instead of drywall, or partical board. And the Staff made the paperwork process smooth and simple. I would Highly refer them to anyone.

The standard monthly prices are a little on the higher side, but the security they provide is pretty good, so I guess the cost for security is decently balanced. The staff members are helpful and their move in special is best suited for short-term renters. If youre ever running late on a payment, they have a 10-day grace period which definitely comes in handy.Overall, they are a good company to rent from for your storage needs if you have the money to pay for secure storage.

Comment: Had a storage here about two years ago. Our unit got broken into and we had two brand new tvs in there that got stolen along with a bunch of other stuff. They claim to have cameras and alarms, but they didnt call us til the next day and tell us that our lock was found broken. We filed a report and we werent allowed to see the cameras or anything, they said the cop checked though, and they didnt even figure out who did it nor did we get any type of reimbursement. Annoying.

And mice ate through a bunch of our boxes and picture wrappings. Wont prorate your move out month unless you ask well ahead of time. Asked for an exception given the mice but was told no. Staff on-sight were outstanding though.

Comment: I started renting here 3 months ago and have visited several times to move goods in and out, at various times of the day. This storage facility is ALWAYS clean - office, driveways, units, etc. The help in the office are very nice and extremely helpful - special shout out to John, who is VERY outgoing, respectful and customer service oriented. Since I moved my belongings into my storage space, I haven’t seen any live pest activity; though couple times I run into couple dead roaches. Probably meaning the management keeps good eye on pest control. I can assure this by the subtle smell of pesticide ingredients surrounding the unit where my rental space is located.

If your close to your due date the on-site management will call you to remind you. Great service for that! The 10 day grace period is unheard of in this industry and it really helps a lot. Every single interaction with the staff has been spectacular and positive. Check-in and check-out was super easy and they were familiar with everything. We had an outside unit on the street level and access was good. I was worried about the 2 storms we recently had that dumped 3 inches during one of them. No water made into the unit and all items were safe. At first I thought the hours would be too restrictive, but they are fine. No need to move stuff outside of the hours (Although maybe opening at 6 AM during a few summer days would be great. I would definitely rent storage again from SPS.

Comment: We have been occupying a storage space at this facility for the past three months and have been very satisfied with how well our treasures have been kept safe within; as well as the proximity it is from our house and loved ones, so we can visit the site at a moments notice if anything were to happen out of the ordinary. We strongly suggest if anyone was looking for a storage facility, Security Public Storage would be a best bet.

Comment: WE have used Escondido public storage for the past 36 months and have found them to be a very safe, clean, dry place to keep those items we arent ready to use at this time. If you need storage space anywhere in the area, I recommend them highly, The managers, Freddie & Bridget are very friendly and helpful.

Comment: After moving out of my college apartment (unfurnished), I needed a place to store my furniture, belongings, etc. that I wasnt using at the moment anymore. I had never rented a storage locker before, but the people at Security Public Storage made it extremely easy. They walked me through the steps, were very straightforward with pricing, and were extremely helpful and nice throughout. Every time Ive been in since, Ive always been welcomed with a smile. The people who work here are just good people. Have not had any complaints about the management, security, pest control, etc.

Comment: Water Leaked in my unit causing mold and damage to over $3000 of video and audio stuff. I filed a claim with Bader the mandatory insurance I had to pay each month and found nothing was covered. Bader has successfully excluded any item that you could store and any way it could be damaged. There were rat turds as well as water damage. Go where you can insure yourself not where you must pay insurance that covers nothing.
