Comment: ServPro of Chula Vista, they did an awesome job on the entire house. After the flood of January 22, 2024 our entire house was totally flooded due to the storm drains not being maintained and the heavy rain added to the problem. Called Martin Aguilera Jr from ServPro and he was here on the same day to access the house and damage. After a bunch of awesome friends and family members came to help us clear out the house. On day 4, the ServPro workers were here to do demo work and the workers from Vert and Central Valley Environmental (CVE) were here to do the remediation and mole contamination and after 2 1/2 weeks of decontamination of the house, the ServPro crew worked on reconstruction of our house. Their crew was very organized, one crew came in, they did their portion and the next crew followed. Martin Sr. came often to make sure the work was moving as scheduled. After 3 months almost to the day, we moved back into a brand new house. We highly recommend ServPro of Chula Vista to work on any project thats needed for your house.Thank you so much,Mr. and Mrs. Acosta

Comment: As a professional plumber for the past 30 plus years I personally had seen lots of water damage in many if my clients homes and I always refer my clients to SERVPROAnd finally after all these years it was my turn, I had water damage on my property. Without hesitation I knew which remediation company I was going to call, SERVPRO!!Julio and his crew where very professional. They came out and checked for water damage and mold. They had to remove the laminated flooring because it had water underneath and they had to remove part of the kitchen cabinets and part of the wall since they too had water damage. Comment: Technicians did not seal the containment for over an hour continuously while remediating mold damage after I asked them to please be more mindful considering I have severe allergies and that is what the containment is in place for. They continued to not listen and left the containment open for extended periods of time after being informed. Their negligence caused me damages and triggered severe health conditions. Scheduling is very pushy and not flexible on availability with customers and demand to come over first thing in the morning on multiple occasions after I let them know this does not work for me and refused to ask what we could compromise on…multiple times! I have been told a supervisor would reach out on multiple occasions and I still have heard nothing. Also - they leave you alone with workers that speak zero English. This is not helpful at all!

Comment: OMG...This Company & Crew is Absolutelythe WROST!!! I repeat DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME/MONEY WITH THIS CREW! DID I MENTION THEY ARE ABSOLUTELY THE WROST! Their manager Martin never reached back out about the unfinished job but when they wanted to get paid he was all on top of things. So long story short we had water damage In August 2023 in my son bathroom that flooded our whole top floor. During the pack out in August they packed my security camera ( who does that) and now they cant find it, broke my son items, said they would replace it were in December it never happened. They unplugged my washer and gas dryer and never reinstall it! October 2023 they bring our household goods back into our home causing me to pay out of my own pocket to reinstall the washer and dryer they did do that the insurance company paid them for and they refused to do It. They also just place my tv back on the wall and lost the cords to my TV so now Im not able to watch it...smh Now that were home for the holidays were going through the boxes just to find out that they put back the old wet molded items from the bathroom and pack them in a box in my son room...smh I reached out to the company several times to resolve the issues and it took them days to even get back to me. Not answering my texts, phone calls and slow to reply with emails After USAA paid them for a very sloppy job that they didnt fully complete! This was a very stressful time for my family and I and allowing 10 plus people in my home to pack and unpack our things just to be misplaced, lose and break things or not even make it back to my home was horrible. Please reconsider using this company find someone who cares about your personal items and your home!!!** Should Be Able To Receive NO STARS!!**Latasha Fennell

Comment: We discovered a leak under our refrigerator that permeated to several areas in our kitchen creating mold. Our insurance company refused to pay. Having this unexpected issue required us to have a water and mold specialist dry out and/or remove any evident mold in walls, cabinetry and flooring. We endured a week of loud blowers that generated a lot of heat. Our kitchen areas was in disarray. It was a very stressful experience and an expense that fully came out of our pocket.The only great thing to come out of all of this was the company we hired called Servpro. Julio has been outstanding throughout this entire ordeal. Always in touch with me to explain what’s going on and check the progress of moisture removal. Very careful and respectful of our home in how he arranged equipment. Other workers did a great job in sealing off the affected areas and moving things around as needed. It was a very stressful time made so much better knowing we had a professional, trustworthy company in charge of this project.

Comment: I called SERVPRO for a courtesy inspection of a shower leak leading to water damage. They were timely, both in scheduling quickly and punctual to the scheduled arrival window, and ultimately gave me an assessment that provided me with next steps to address the issue in a financially responsible manner.The most impressive part was how honest and transparent they were. My leak was caught early and before any structural damage, fortunately. Its easy to gaslight customers in order to lock in service and charge thousands of dollars, but they didnt. Instead they shared their expertise, gave me the truth, and ultimately charged me nothing. (Im spending a couple hundred to address the shower track, where it otherwise wouldve been easy to create thousands of dollars in service charges to inspect the pipes or something similarly invasive that would have been unnecessary in this case.)I hope I never have a more significant water issue, but if I do, I know who my first call will be. Theyve earned my trust as a long term customer by avoiding the quick buck that so many of us are cautious of when contacting new service companies.

Comment: After Hurricane Ian flooded our home, I called the national Servpro number and was so fortunate to be connected to Albert Aguilera of the Chula Vista ServPro office. Albert, Julio, and their team members were a godsend. We didn’t realize how fortunate we were until comparisons with neighbors; one neighbor actually fired their team after several days and hired the Chula Vista team, who worked so well together. They were professional, they knew what needed to be done, they knew how to deal with people going through traumatic times, and yet they also brought some levity to the situation. They would laugh when I forgot to empty out a cabinet or when I’m like no no that’s good and they would tell me why it is not good to keep. Yet they were considerate of your personal belongings, asking if you want to keep an item. They worked quickly to remove drywall, cabinets, appliances, furniture, they were able to build frames to support our granite countertops. They cleaned the floors. They meticulously cleaned the trough between the tile floors and the studs frame for the new drywall to fit. They set up dryers, humidifiers, and HEPA filters. They made sure our home was clean, moisture free, and ready to rebuild. Thank you Chula Vista team and I truly mean team! If you need a remediation team, this Servpro team is the one you want!

They assessed the concerned area and took care of it, the water from the conduit needed to be suctioned out using their equipment. One of the tech also took the time to cut part of the conduit so we can take it to Home Depot for proper sizing of the cap to prevent further problems in the future. After the job was completed I requested for the amount owed and the tech answered it was a courtesy from the company. Over about 2 weeks, there was water flowing into the space between the toilet room and family room downstairs without my knowledge. The water eventually started to flow through the vent in the family room ceiling. I walked into a flooding family room. ServPro came out within an hour, which was also on a weekend. The specialist was professional and kind during a very stressful experience. He showed me where the water was with his equipment and placed 2 machines to dry out the areas affected. He showed me how to use the machine and gave me instructions as to the next step. I’ve used this company twice in the last year.Last August I experienced major water damage to my home in Otay Ranch. I contacted SERVPRO who responded in the middle of the night with water detection and drying equipment. Lorenzo took the time to explain the process to me and answer all of my questions which was extremely comforting. The SERVPRO team returned the next morning and packed up/moved everything out of the affected areas for me. I literally didn’t have to do a thing. Through the drying and demolition process, the SERVPRO team kept me updated every morning regarding the next steps so I knew what to expect. The SERVPRO team helped make the entire event a lot less stressful for me.Earlier this month, I experienced some more water damage, albeit minor. (You would’ve thought I would’ve learned my lesson the first time around.) Without hesitation, I immediately contacted SERVPRO. Shortly thereafter Martin Jr. responded and used his water detection camera and instruments to assess the damage and before I knew it, Julio was there setting up trying equipment.I can’t say enough good things about this company. Comment: Any water damage can be a scary situation when involving your home. So many questions come up and until you know what caused the leak you worry what to do.The crew with ServPro was very informative on the process to find the leak in our home. They surprised us with how thorough they were in putting up plastic protection around the water damaged area. This provided a closed off section so they could pull down drywall that can be a mess. Powder and debris can get on everything including your furniture, tile and walls. Their attention to properly secure the damaged area helped with removing the water logged insulation and drywall. The best part was they found the leak was minor and that no other plumbing repair was needed. Just a small area where the plumbing seals came loose.After the demolition and removal of the damaged materials they treated all the wood and exposed surfaces with anti-mold treatment. The plastic bagging they put up not only contained the smell of the treatment, but allowed them to install two drying fans and a moisture removal machine. The moisture removal machine ran for several days pulling all the water out of the wood and walls so no future mold would grow.Again, this was a process and can be overwhelming if we didnt have ServPro explaining the process. My family and I are very satisfied with the work ServPro provided during a frustrating time.They truly live up to their motto - Like it Never Happened.Thank you ServPro.Jeff H.

Comment: Martin Sr. (owner) and his son are simply the best contractors I have every worked with. From the very beginning they always replied promptly to every questions and concerns (most within 10 minutes), they worked with my schedule, and did a great job to restore my kitchen after a serious leak. His workers were extremely hard working, often staying late to finish a job. I also love it that they do not nickel-and-dime you when I asked them for minor additional improvements that I thought of after the contract was already agreed. Martin could have said, thats another $100-200 (like other contractors), but he simply said, I will add it for free, for my bathroom light, mirrors, kitchen ceiling lights. When they were putting in recessed lighting for my kitchen ceiling, his worker Victor noticed I had an old light at a corner I didnt think of replacing, and he asked me if I wanted that done too. I said yes, and he said hed ask Martin for me. The next morning he came with another light to put it in for me so now all the lights are the same style and look nice. His worker took the initiative to suggest the improvement, and they did not charge me extra, now that is what I think a well run company should be. Martin noticed the HOA plumber did not fix the pipe well, so he sent his own plumber (within the hour) to re-route the pipes in the wall for a proper fix, and again at no additional cost. I managed some rentals before, and had Home Depot did a similar job for a lot more money and the job, the materials were not nearly as good. Also I must commend the extremely hard working Victor and Victor (two guys, same name) who did a lot of the work. I really appreciate these guys, they are true professionals. Honestly, the best.

They had their emergency response team at our home within an hour to begin removing the water, the first step in the water mitigation process (as we soon learned). The two man team proceed to vacuum up the water, pull back carpets, remove soaked padding, and placing the initial drying fans. The next day they returned to continue the process and begin assessing the damage for coordination with our insurance company. Over the last week the mitigation process continued with a very professional team, including removal of drywall, assistance with moving furniture to provided storage containers, and all other work required to for the continuing and final drying process. That work is now completed and we look forward to continuing to work with Serv Pro CV on the reconstruction phase. Overall, we could not have asked for better professional customer service. Their entire team understands the stress an event like this places on the homeowners and their demonstration of caring and empathy was truly first class.I HIGHLY recommend Serv Pro to anyone requiring their services.

They quickly set up the necessary equipment and created appropriate work/clean zones; packed up all furniture, furnishings, decor and relocated in storage PODs to protect them; removed affected glued-down hardwood floors, cabinetry, and drywall; and applied necessary anti-mold solution to exposed areas.
