Michael Seech made us extremely comfortable with his approach, knowledge, and follow-up.His ability to review features was top-notch. He checked out and fulfilled any request we had. His demeanor and approachability make asking questions easy and the answers are complete! We are glad to have developed the relationship and look forward to many more years of dealing with Michael.
Wow! Anthony is amazing. My wife and I prepared for a day of test-driving cars, which typically means sorting through car salesman. The Sharpe BMW dealer was the first stop of the day. We had no real intentions of buying a car that day, and really had chose another car all together. After spending an hour test-driving car, we knew that Anthony was our guy. He was knowledgeable, engaging, and earned our business. The car we purchased was what Anthony deemed “Love at First Sight”, and I would have to agree. I have never loved driving a car so much. I would highly recommend Anthony for your car buying needs. Thank you and the whole Sharpe team for making a big purchase so seamless and enjoyable.
I just recently purchased a used Lincoln MKZ from Sharpe BMW. Bob Fairchild was the Sales Professional that helped me along with his manager Shawn Ruger. Both gentlemen were polite and very informative, they took care of me and helped to get me in the car that I wanted. I LOVE my 2018 MKZ. Anyone out there that reads my review and youre unsure about where to purchase a new or used vehicle look no further Sharpe IS the place to go theyll treat you like Family and in the end youll have the vehicle that you want and most importantly a smile on your face. Ive found THEE PLACE to shop for cars from now and in to the future and that place is definitely Sharpe BMW, THANKS BOB, THANKS SHAWN.
I had a 8:15 AM appt for routine oil change and to repair media computer malfunction for my 2018 BMW X-5. Service liason Lee informed a couple of times that download had reached a 98% completion rate and then it would start over. A driver dropped me off at a local eatery for lunch. At about 1:45 I was told that they would soon be wrapping things up and then wash my vehicle. Shortly I was told that download failed again and that it was moved outside so that they could trouble shoot remotely. At 4:45 Lee informed me that another failure had occurred and that I could go home 75 miles, and another appointment would have to be made. I asked for a loaner and was told that none were available. That seemed reprehensible to me. How could a luxury car dealership have a vehicle all day and never forsee that there was no resolution to repair and NOT be prepared to provide a loaner car? SHARP at this location has MINI COOPER, LAND ROVER and BMW and not a single loaner? It also seemed ironical that two showroom vehicles were removed at about 4:00. Where to and to whom? Be aware , this could have been you. I have no idea when repair will be completed or what compensations will be made. All I do know is that I spent all day at Sharps and no repair made and then released into rush hour Friday nite traffic facing 75 miles of stress driving with a unknown repair future.
Unethical business practices. Buyer beware when servicing your vehicle at this dealership. When we took our bmw for a diagnosis because the check engine light came on we were told that the vehicle needed to have a part replaced and the estimated labor time was going to be 3 hours. After dropping my car off for service. I received a text that work was complete in less than one hour so that was great news and I was very happy that they finished and thought that I was going save money. Well guess what. That’s not how they operate. They charge you for the full 3 hours either way. They call it a book time. So I guess the technician sat around for another 2 hours not doing anything? I doubt that very much in fact I’m pretty certain that he worked on other vehicles. To their credit they rectified the situation and charged me accordingly. But did so in a manor that was very distasteful and unapologeticI. can’t in good conscience ever trust them to service my vehicle again.
I was looking for a silver/black 328xi with the M Sport package and Sharpe happened to have exactly that car on their lot. A friend recommended that I talk to Dan Erdei, so I went in to see what options I had to get out of my MINI lease and into this new car.Dan was extremely helpful and genuinely cared that we picked the best path to getting out of my old lease and leasing this 328xi. He and the staff at Sharpe went above and beyond to accommodate all of the nuances to my car deal. I highly recommend working with Dan at Sharpe for your next car deal.
The car buying experience was extra stressful based on the low availability of cars. Once I went to Sharpe, Daniel made the car buying experience so easy, the process was very smooth and Daniel kept me in the loop throughout the purchase, very good communication. I would definitely recommend Sharpe BMW and ask for Daniel.
I worked with John Sergeant on building the perfect M340i. I couldn’t have had a better person to help me through the process. Ordering was super fast and easy, and the pickup process was even quicker. Even with the chip shortage causing a slow down, I still received the car in a pretty short amount of time. Thanks John and Sharpe for the great experience.
My experience here was not the best, considering that my wait time was super long for absolutely no reason at all. I was waiting for my car that was getting serviced. After like 30 minutes, my car was still sitting in the shop untouched in the same spot. I had scheduled my appointment with a service advisor, he told me my car was going to be done roughly in an hour. For me that is okay, it’s very reasonable. I understand if it takes awhile to fix something on my car, but to be waiting , and watching my car just sit there is frustrating. I thought that’s why people make appointments. Clearly doesnt look organized on how much work they can handle at a time, and looks like they over book. They should fix this issue to prevent this in the future. Very unhappy with my experience.
Not a bad place to buy a car but isnt a place I really would want to go to again. Bob Fairchild sold us a BMW X3 in late 2019 inclusive of the Luxe package where once a year they will do a very thorough detailing (clay bar etc. etc.), probably worth $300+ but when I called him a year after we bought the car to get it scheduled, he remembered us but conveniently not that he had offered this additional perk to us complimentary. (even beyond this I spent an additional $8k in extended warranties to cover the car on everything up to 100k in mileage). When I called there really wasnt even much attempt to take care of us, it was a clear conversation of I dont recall offering you this, Ill have to go request it and see, but then he never reached back out and I really didnt want to pursue it even further. Just decided I wouldnt really ever go back. Ive bought 3 BMWs in my life the previous 2 were from East coast dealerships and with those purchases it was much more of an extended relationship than what I had with Sharpe. With those other dealerships there would have been zero question, it would have been bring it on in! Wed love to keep it nice for you once a year! Bottom line with Sharpe is if they have a great deal go ahead and engage but keep it entirely to best possible price you can get and dont plan on much past the actual transaction which is OK just know that going in.
Absolutely loved my experience with Sharpe. I worked with Michael Seech and within less than a week my dream car was ready for pickup. Its even more impressive considering the ongoing shortages. I also loved his consultative approach vs your typical sales guy. If you need a car, Michaels your guy.
I bought a Bmw with an issue (not from Sharpe BMW) and being 6 hours from home I immediately came to Sharpe BMW to see if I could have my issue resolved in one day. Jason in service told me my car is a minimum two day job. After telling him I had to be home for work tomorrow he went out of the way to get the car to be done by the end of the day. He has been very easy to work with and very helpful given the situation. I would recommend this dealerships service department to absolutely anyone. I’d almost say it’s worth a 6 hour drive from home just for the positive experience you’ll get here!
My husband and I both purchased cars from Sharpe BMW. We had the pleasure of working with Dan Erdei. It was a great experience! We found Dan to be fair, forthcoming, accommodating and a pleasure to work with. We love our new cars, and we look forward to having a continuous relationship with Sharpe!
We purchased a BMW X1 from Sharpe Buick in June 2017. It has been a wonderful car. In January of 2019, after giving it a winter wash, I noticed what I thought were thousands of small orange rust specks showing up in the white paint. I called our salesman,Daniel Erdei. He suggested that we get it in ASAP and the body shop would take a good look at it. He got us in immediately and gave us a loaner car. As it turns out, I was wrong. The orange specks were actually tar from driving through the summer road construction near our home. They clay barred the entire car to minute detail. Under close examination, not one speck of tar remained and the surface was left smooth as glass. Despite tying up two of their workers for a morning and afternoon, there was no charge. A true test of a dealership is how they handle situations when things come up.p.s. I would recommend Dan and Sharpe Buick to friends and family.
Purchased my very first BMW, a CPO 5 Series Lease! What an amazing vehicle! I was not aware that LEASING was not only an option for a used car, but an inexpensive option at that! My payments we equal to or lesser than a lease on a brand new non luxury vehicle, while getting twice the car, and a 100,000 mile warranty to boot!!Of all of the vehicles that I have owned (over 20 in all, and multiple Lexus), this 535xi is the ONLY vehicle that I have ever had that I was EXCITED to drive, everyday! After 7 months, it still does not get old!If you are in the market for a newer vehicle, look no further than Sharpe BMW! They were easy to work with, facilities were clean, and Jason & Mandy in service are AWESOME! What a great experience!
After having negative experiences at my local BMW dealership, I chose Sharpe, even though it was a 3 hour drive because of the stellar personal service from Jared, my sales person. He went above & beyond to assure whole process from ordering to delivery of my BMW X6 m50i was perfect! He even sent me a personalized video of my vehicle so I could enjoy it until my pickup appointment! Best BMW dealership Ive dealt with over the 15 years of owning BMWs!
Tremendous service. John was extremely helpful and was willing to take the time to talk through the details of both the car and possible finances pre purchase. The purchase process was quick and easy and we felt comfortable and at ease the entire time. Would highly recommend Share BMW for any future vehicle needs.
Great experience at Sharpe BMW purchasing my new X4 M40i. Client Advisor Michael Seech went through significant hoops to obtain an allocation to build my desired vehicle at the end of the 2021 production cycle. He stayed on top of everything. Great communication along the way. In addition he was very knowledgeable, patient and helpful in helping me set up the tech on the car. Finance agent Mary McCabe did a fine job with my financing as well. Great team at Sharpe!
Michael Seech helped me find the perfect car for the amount of driving I do. I wanted something sporty that was still comfortable while driving long distances. He was very knowledgeable about all of the vehicles on the lot and ultimately ended up finding me something not even available on the market. If you have been looking for a new car and dont know where to start, I suggest walking up to his desk! Thanks, Michael!
Just took delivery on a 2022 X3 m40i. Couldn’t believe we were able to get exactly what we wanted in this time of so limited availability of cars. This is due to the excellent above and beyond work of Dan Erdei. We have leased many BMWs from Sharpe and have always been more than satisfied. As always Dan Erdei took amazing care of us and all at Sharpe were great to deal with.
Scheduled a service appointment online. Communication was poor from the start. At one point I did receive an email from Michael S., but did not receive a response after answering. I had asked Michael what the dealership would charge for oil, filter, and cabin filter service. That should have been a red flag.Naturally, the price is given after you have handed over the key. I would not recommend having your vehicle serviced at Sharpe due to the outrageous pricing of $448 for such a service.Anneffrey greeted me in the service garage. He was professional and took care of my needs. The video inspection I received via email was something new and clever.Overall, I would avoid servicing your car here.
Shopping for a new vehicle has changed a lot with the advent of on line purchasing and the Pandemic. There are still a few of us who still want to visit a dealership to kick the tires, see a real vehicle, and take a test drive. My wife and I had done a lot of online shopping and had already built a BMW X-1 on the BMW website that included our desired options. However, before making a final decision my wife wanted to see an actual vehicle in her preferred Mineral Grey Metallic rather than a color chip or internet picture. Therefore, one blustery March day we visited Sharpe BMW. We met Dan Erdei in the parking lot and he promptly showed us a vehicle in my wifes color. Dan learned that the color selection was about the only thing holding us back from purchasing the X-1. We knew it might take up to three months to have one built in Germany and shipped to the dealer. Dan offered to put in our order as soon as we wanted. There was no pressure so we said wed get back to him in a couple of days. We did call back and ask Dan to place the order for the vehicle we wanted. Dan impressed my wife with his professionalism and attention to our request. He went right to work on our purchase and in fact called back in a few days to tell us he had found an X-1 meeting our order that was arriving in Baltimore which we could have if we wanted. We accepted his offer and the rest went very smoothly. We took delivery of our beautiful BMW X-1 on St. Patricks Day.Thank you Dan and Sharpe BMW for making this an enjoyable experience!
Katie and the entire staff were the most professional, patient, and positive Ive ever worked with when buying a vehicle. Katie was interested in not just finding a vehicle for me, but finding the vehicle that was right for me. She and they were very responsive to questions and concerns both before and after the sale and went out of their way to make my experience five star. If I love my first BMW as much as Katie says I will, and I have so far, theres no doubt where Ill be getting my next one. Thanks Katie, Shawn, JD, JD, Mr Sharpe, and everyone else who helped make the experience enjoyable and first class.
Just bought our third BMW from Dan Erdei. He has consistently and professionally worked with us each time...which is why we keep coming back!! BMW Genius Dan Bui was beyond helpful as I learned all the amazing new features in this new model. Dan E. and Dan B. make quite the awesome team and represent Sharpe BMW well!
I had the absolute pleasure of working with Shaun. He made the car buying experience incredibly simple. He was prompt, professional, and beyond nice. I was able to test drive the car, get financing for it, and even had it dropped off to my house all in the same day, and I don’t even live in Grand Rapids, so that was a very unexpected surprise! If you’re looking for a vehicle, Sharpe will not disappoint you! Every staff member that I interacted with was wonderful, and I would recommend anyone to work with Shaun. Thank you for the excellent experience!
This dealership absolutely hit it out of the park in every category they possibly could for my experience with them, and have provided after-care thus far that has been above and beyond what Ive experienced elsewhere.Michael S. was an absolute pleasure to work with, and the other salesperson directly next to his desk was nice as well. Michael contacted me first after normal operating hours to respond to my inquiry I made about a vehicle online. He was courteous, informative, accommodating to all of my questions and delays prior to arrival all without being pushy.Michael was ready for me when I arrived and wasted no time in getting me outside for a test drive after getting some basic information from me and answering a few questions, and even looked over some other vehicles I was thinking about purchasing from other dealerships while offering non-bias feedback on them.Michael also served as an excellent intermediary between myself and management/ownership in addressing questions and concerns during the process. Management came out for a short chat as well, and addressed any further concerns and questions that Michael couldnt. Even when we couldnt reach a solution at the time, they all worked together after the fact to find one, and went the extra length to make things work out. Not a single person was pushy about anything I did or did not want, and helped me to make fully informed decisions.Absolutely everyone, from sales to management to financial (Mary M.), was a pleasure to work with and genuinely helpful, patient, and attentive. They all seem to be hard working and willing to go the extra mile in addressing any question, concern, or need I had and Im confident will help in answering any question or solving any issue that arises.Excellent experience, all around. I would absolutely not hesitate to purchase another vehicle from this fine group.
My husband and I have had the pleasure of working with Dan Erdei and the team at Sharpe BMW for the purchase of 5 different cars of the years. During our most recent transaction for an X3 M40i, Dan was able to continue to provide superb customer service even during these uncertain times of Covid. His outstanding attention to detail and excellent communication (even when on vacation for a week!) made us both feel assured that our car was ordered to our specifications and sure enough, it arrived just on time and exactly how wed asked for it. Sharpe is also adhering to strict social distancing and cleanliness procedures, which is extremely important and reassuring. If you are considering a new BMW for your next car, dont hesitate to reach out to Dan Erdei over at Sharpe. Youll be in excellent hands and youll enjoy a seamless, safe car buying experience.
Ive been driving older BMW for years, my old one ran into some issues and decided to look at a used low mileage one that came up. Michael Seech help me thru the process of purchasing and Drew helped me thru the controls and operation. What an Awesome experience this was! Thanks to everyone at Sharpe!
Worked with Dan Erdei and we couldn’t have been any happier. Had some wiggle room in price but even after price was set, I was not happy with a tire situation so they were going to replace rear tires for me. I thought that was great and I was pleased but then when picking up the car, Dan came back that they would put 4 new tires on the car even though the front were almost brand new. It was a pleasant experience. No high pressure sales, we were able to test drive cars, was given training on all the features, they made us feel as they wanted us to be BMW owners for life. We appreciate Dan and the entire experience!!
My experience leasing my new 2022 Mini Cooper S Clubman was seamless and easy. I had the pleasure of working with Bob Fairchild. He was thorough, transparent and professional every step of the way. We coordinated my new lease and scheduled my pick-up while I was in Detroit. I opted to explore my lease options at Sharpe BMW of Grand Rapids because my experience at the Mini Cooper dealership in Southfield was not very pleasant. I am so glad I did things the way I did. Thank you!
I had the pleasure of working with Dan Erdei while finding my new car. He was amazing! Was able to get me in very quickly and had the cars ready for me to test drive. It was such an easy and enjoyable process! I definitely recommend working with Dan if given the opportunity.
Sharpe BMW service exceeded my expectations. They offered a loaner unexpectedly after they found a previously unknown issue that was covered under warranty. Jason Bigelow, the service advisor, was professional and accommodating. A great experience and a shop worthy of respect.
I recently bought a vehicle from Sharpe BMW and the experience was excellent from start to finish. The sales team took the time and effort to genuinely understand what I was looking for. They gave me options based on their inventory, locating a vehicle or placing a build order. They worked very hard to answer all of my questions and to find the best vehicle for me. Everyone I interacted with was knowledgeable, friendly and very responsive. Their product knowledge is impressive given the countless options, packages and custom configurations. They made my car buying experience truly enjoyable at every step.
I recently bought a new car from Dan Erdei at Sharpe, and it was a thoroughly professional and enjoyable experience. He took the time to update me on the changes in the different series, and he found me just the car I was hoping to find. He even patiently tolerated my stubbornness. I highly recommend Dan Erdei for your next car.
Sharpe BMW has been a fantastic dealership to work with. My husband and I moved to the Grand Rapids area in the summer of ‘18 and began using Sharpe to service our car. They were always very friendly, helpful and easy to work with. When I started looking for my next leased car I returned to Sharpe and met Dan Erdei. Dan was absolutely great! He listened to what I was looking for in the next car and very quickly put together some options. After I made my decision he had everything arranged ahead of time and we were very easily able to turn in my current lease and close on the new one. He has been extremely helpful, friendly, and a pleasure to work with. He has made it a point to stay in touch and be sure I haven’t had any other questions and that I’m still loving the car. It’s a more personal touch that I have never had in the past until coming to Sharpe BMW and meeting Dan. Thanks so much to him and everyone at Sharpe! I will definitely be returning when it’s time for the next car!!
If you know what is good for you, you would stay as far away from this dealership as possible and if possible, BMW as whole. This may be hard but trust me there are so many better options out there. Even though the latter may seem impossible, maybe my experience would help prevent anyone else from going through similar experiences.I leased a vehicle from BMW and got warranties to cover pretty much all the possible incidents that may occur from dent to rims. Even though vehicle wasn’t driven as much, I got these warranties because in life you never know what the future holds. I even had over 6000 miles in unused miles when the vehicle was turned in. When lease had ended and vehicle was being turned in to Sharpe BMW in Grand Rapids, I was told there were some issues and that the warranty I had would cover them. I had a flight to catch later that afternoon so made sure I got confirmation before signing that everything would be taken care of. After leaving the dealership and a few months later, I got a bill saying I owed for not just tire damages but also a dent to the door which wasn’t there before I left dealership. They were able to generate digital documents showing I signed to this and even to the tire damages which were all false and generated after the fact. Simply placing my signature beneath a document doesn’t make that document one I saw before signing. The fact that the vehicle was so low on miles that it would turn a profit doesn’t mean I have to pay to get vehicle in excellent condition for resale even when I had a warranty to cover issues. When I called dealership to discuss, as usual I got the typical transfer all over the place with nobody willing to assist on their mistake. I called BMW who even agreed that dealership was at fault and to contact them only to like a modern day Robinhood be in agreement with the dealership since it suited them and after all Sharpe BMW acts on behalf of BMW of North America. I have no issue paying for issues I am liable for but when a dealership and a manufacturer work hand in hand to be dishonest, rip-off, be felonious and ignorant to an error they created, I would challenge that. This has been a 2 year back and forth thing and I caution anyone reading this to think twice before getting a lease or even purchasing from a dealership with this track record and reputation. All they had to do was to come clean on their mistake rather than to blame it on the customer.I can go deeper into the incident but I think you get the picture. If this dealership is your only option for whatever reason, be cautious of this dealership or best try another manufacturer all together as the dealership is simply an extension of the manufacturer. I had a worse experience when dealing with BMW of North America directly where one of their agents almost acted like he owned BMW whole and felt like talking discourteously or being impudent was OK. I Never want to see that BMW emblem on any steering wheel of mine ever and would ensure anyone who asks me gets to know the truth about what they may be getting into. I know this may not be the experience of most and not be typical behavior of this dealership or BMW as a whole but this was my experience.
I went to their website sight found a car I might be interested in. After I talked with Dan he found me the car that I really wanted that was not even on their website. Dan exceeded my expectations. One of the best car buying experiences I have had. Now the happy owner of a 540i. Great car. Highly recommend Dan.
I had an incredible experience, during these extraordinary times. Dan went above and beyond to ensure that I felt comfortable with the entire process, particularly under these unusual circumstances. This is our second purchase from Dan and the team at Sharpe, and it’s clear that this local small business puts care of customers and employees at the forefront of their business. I love my new (to me) Mini Cooper and look forward to continuing to be a Sharpe customer when it comes time for our next vehicle.
I had that familiar sinking feeling a few months ago when the end of my X3 lease was rolling around. I thought we had a very good deal on our 2018 lease, having dealt exclusively with BMW Sales Manager Jeremy Dutcher who put it together, but would our luck hold out again at Sharpe?I was dreading the process of leasing another vehicle, an X5 this time. But after going back and forth online, and comparing similar deals with other dealerships in the state, Jeremy and I agreed on a deal we ultimately thought was fair to both parties… and did I mention that my wife is thrilled with the X5.When this lease is up in three years, I will likely not agonize so much about the upcoming process. Thanks Jeremy – you’re a good man; and props to Shawn Ruger, the business manager; and also, kudos to Dan Bui, known as the “BMW GENIUS.” He’s the one that navigates the high-tech mysteries of your new car with you.I would recommend these people at this Grand Rapids dealership in a New York minute.
We worked with Michael and he was one of the BEST car professions we have worked with. As a woman, I have had bad experiences in the past with salesmen ignoring me. I came In Prepared for that but was completely blown away by how amazing Michael was. Would highly recommend him to ANYONE buying a car :)
We leased a new X7 from Sharpe over the weekend. Its a beautiful car and we are extremely pleased with both the car and the customer service at Sharpe! Dan and the rest of the staff couldnt have been more helpful and they covered every detail. If youre in the market for a new car, I highly recommend Sharpe BMW - its a top-notch dealership!
I was thrilled to find my ideal car at Sharpe BMW. Two of my co-workers recommended I go there, even though I wasnt looking for a BMW. Sure enough, they had a 2016 Ford Explorer that was exactly what I was looking for. Car buying can be sort of an awkward process but working with Dan Erdei at Sharpe was easy, comfortable, and even fun. (Thanks Dan!) I also loved that I was able to shop at a local, family-owned business that generously supports many West Michigan non-profits. Would highly recommend!
I had an amazing experience with Sharpe BMW! Dan Erdei was very helpful in finding the right vehicle for me. The customer service has continued to be second to none and he continues to check in even months later to ensure complete satisfaction. They say the pride themselves in lifelong customers and I can definitely see why!
I have been postponing my review, due to the fact that my business with Sharpe is still on going. However, I feel that over the 2 months I have been working with them, I have learned all I need to write a honest review.I approached Sharpe with a vehicle that had a warranty on it that was very specific and not common to Michigan cars in any way shape or form. However, after one phone call with the service manager, Tom, I was insured that proper investigating would go into the manner.Less than 24 hours later I received a call saying that my car was covered and well as I was apologized to for any wasted time. Takes a lot for someone to fall on the sword and make things right, beyond happy they treated me correctly. They are busier than a zoo, that being said, My service adviser, Mandy, has been beyond accommodating. They were great about contacting me and keeping me in the loop, while my car was in for repair. After the first batch of repairs didnt fix my initial problem, Mandy did all she could to work with my schedule and get my car taken care of.So in closing, they are great. Give them some time, be patient, because they are typically busy but they will do all in their power to make you, the customer, taken care of.
Woke up Christmas morning to my dead 2013 335 got it jumped and brought it to sharpe to replace the old battery. Continued to show battery drainage and kill the battery over night. Have had the car at sharpe since to diagnose the problem and the entire team has been incredibly helpful and patient with me and the car since it turned out to be a pretty complicated situation. Sarah has been in direct contact with me and has been very involved and kept me in the loop in terms of what’s going on and has been incredibly helpful this entire time. Can’t thank everyone there enough for their patience and doing all they can to get my car back up and running.
I had appointment last week to reset tire and brake light. I made appointment. I went to service they Welcoming, helping me for some knowledge, they all are like friendly service. I got diagnosed and found tpms sensor monitor computer bad so won’t reset tpms and I recently replaced pads and pad sensor won’t reset. They said wrong sensor needs to replace pad sensor. But fortunately I reset myself by snap on scanner. I learnt “sometimes has to be little bit research before take dealer”. Just concerned at least if they tried to reset it I wouldn’t waste my diagnostic fee. Felt so bad that day. By the way they did their best. Very thankful for service.
I had a passenger airbag sensor issue with my older 3-series that came up. While not listed under the official list of recalls for my VIN the seat style, trim, and year matched a recall listed on the NHTSA site. I worked with BMW USA and got a little bit of traction but no hard commitment to fix the safety issue. That is when I brought the car to Sharpe BMW and they took care of everything for me working with BMW USA to get it covered. It was very refreshing to work with a dealer and a service center that was hassle free with friendly staff. When I go to purchase my next vehicle I will go to Sharpe first.
Just purchased a vehicle with Mike this week! First time purchasing from a lot. He made the experience great! I didn’t feel pressured into anything. He was accommodating, patient, took the time to ask me what I was looking for, and made suggestions that were incredibly helpful! Finance team was great at explaining everything in detail as well!
I just recently traded in 2007 328XI on a certified 2012 528I X-drive. The main reason I gave Sharpe BMW the opportunity to sell me a new car is due to Jason in service. Anytime I had an issue he got the problem taken care of right away and always let me know where we were in the process. My sales consultant Dan was awesome he made the process very easy and when it came to the numbers they were very reasonable. Nichole was my business manager, she did a great job of getting me an awesome rate. I would recommend the Sharpe BMW to anyone who is looking for a new or used BMW, they truly give the luxury experience to everyone of their customers.
We had an absolutely incredible experience with Sharpe BMW. Shaun and Jeremy made the entire purchase process easy and very convenient. We told them the price point and must haves and they delivered the perfect fit. We drove one and decided it was the right vehicle for us. The actual day of delivery was very quick and seamless. They took care of all the details, valued our time and were ready at the scheduled appointment time. Vince did a great job introducing us to the BMW technology since this is our first BMW. He set up all of our driver settings, phones, navigation and favorites. We will definitely be telling our friends and family about the sales and service we received at Sharpe! Thank you again gentlemen!
Overall was a very pleasant and smooth experience purchasing a BMW from Sharpe; Michael Seech in particular was extremely accessible (even on his vacation and after hours) to answer any questions. It is very clear they stand by their cars and are invested in the client for the duration of the car ownership, not just the interim of the sale.
Fantastic car buying experience with Jeremy and Anthony. They went above and beyond to find me the vehicle I need and really worked with me to make me exceptionally happy. Of note, while driving to work one day in my BMW from another dealership I had a flat tire and The sharpe BMW team provide truly exceptional service to help me and picked up my vehicle and left me with a loaner car before even setting foot in their establishment. A great all over company and a very friendly staff. Would highly recommend this dealership to anyone. Will most certainly be back for my next vehicle.
Recently bought a car form Steve Glenn at Sharpe BMW. The buying experience at Sharpe was very pleasant. Steve was great to work with and the whole process was smooth and painless. I was very impressed with the high level of customer service, professionalism, and care that Steve and the team at Sharpe showed during the sale. I truly felt like a customer at Sharpe!
For most people buying a new car its a wonderful, exciting experience. For me, initially, I was anxious, indecisive, inpatient, and just not very pleasant overall. It took about 5 minutes in Jeremy Dutchers office for him to recognize my stress and unease, and then about 1 minute for him to validate my feelings, take the reins, put my mind at ease and create that feeling of over the top excitement that I should have been experiencing all along. He answered my hundreds of questions, showed me every possible color combination, and option package, never once did he try to persuade me. He not only found me the most perfect car for me, he did it when I was at my most indecisive, and skeptical. The entire team was amazing. They handled every last detail, the paperwork, the phone calls and all the intangibles; I simply showed up and drove off. Not as just another customer though, one of the family!!! We are so fortunate to have one of the very best BMW dealerships right here in Grand Rapids. While waiting during one of my visits I had the opportunity to see all the great things they do for the community as well!! Definitely a Sharpe customer for life!!!!
I just leased by second car from Sharpe BMW. They reason I returned is the way my wife and I were treated through the selection and purchasing/lease process. I can see why Dan Erdei constantly tops BMW sales in Michigan. He earns it. Hes extremely knowledgeable about the vehicles. Never pushy. Professional throughout the time we were there. Hes complemented by sales manager, Jeremy Dutcher. Jeremy is one of the most solution-oriented people Ive ever met. Not only did he work to meet us with a fair deal, he went beyond that. Jeremy found a better insurance option when I was on the phone trying to deal with with one high-priced company. Overall, the experience at Sharpe BMW is the best, top-notch. I highly recommend them.
I bought a beautiful Cadillac CTS luxury car from Sharpe and it truly was a wonderful experience. My salesman was name Brent and he went out of his way to help me get the car I wanted. The financing officer was also so helpful and didnt try to sell me options I didnt need. I got a beautiful car at a great price. I am grateful to Brent and the team at SHARPE. I love my new car!
If you are ever in the market for a car, I would highly recommend Sharpe BMW. Daniel Erdei and his team go above and beyond to ensure that your experience is fantastic. My wife and I have purchased three vehicles from Sharpe, and have received exemplary customer service each time. Most recently, Daniel and his team hand delivered our new vehicle to our house in a time of duress, and helped us through the ownership process in a matter of minutes. A big thank you to Sharpe, this level of service is what keeps us coming back year after year.
I recently turned in my 2013 X5 50i for a 2016 X5 50i. I returned to Sharpe for another X5 because a) the sales experience the first time around was superb and b) the service in the shop was outstanding with my first X5.Working with Dan Erdei in sales made everything seamless...he had everything lined up even before I arrived to the dealership. The financials were transparent and the lease options were presented in a pro/con fashion...not as a sales push/pitch, which I really appreciated. Everything Sharpe BMW does is top notch and it is, in my opinion, the premiere dealership when it comes to luxury vehicles in Grand Rapids.
Purchased an X5 from Dan and was impressed with the level of customer service and attention to detail he provided. He was able to to coordinate window tinting (3rd party) with detail service at Sharpe and make it an easy, single trip for us. I personally recommend seeking Dan out and will certainly visit him again when it is time for a new car.
Recently, Sharpe brought a 440i x-drive to our home as a service loaner while my husband’s 2015 M4 was in for an oil change. I loved the comfort and the way that loaner handled! We stopped in to see Dan Erdei during the Grand Rapids Metro Cruise. (He was incredibly helpful when we purchased the M4). After hearing how much I enjoyed the 440i, he showed me a 2017 440i x-drive Gran Coupe with M Performance package that was on the lot. Dan knows my husband and I are both car people and appreciate that extra punch the M package provides. I was hesitant to take it for a test drive during the Cruise, so we set up a time the following Monday. Dan was patient in explaining all the car’s features to me, and he presented me with several options for financing. He gave me a detailed comparison for lease vs purchase, but there was no pressure whatsoever to choose one over the other.I absolutely love my new car! It looks and sounds amazing! There is definitely something to be said for owning the Ultimate Driving Machine. Dan called a few days after I got my car to see how I was enjoying it and ask whether I had any questions or concerns. He has been professional, personable, and knowledgeable in every communication we have had with him. When the time comes for a new BMW, we will seek out Dan Erdei once again. Our experiences with the Sharpe service team have been positive as well. I have no worries about taking my 440 in when the time comes for service.
This dealer unfortunately just seems like another “bait and switch” outfit. Posted a great price online And when I informed them I was ready to buy, they simply decided they could get more money from the vehicle I guess and refused to honor the advertised price. I get these are crazy times but this was a demonstrator and the discount wasn’t that significant. I cannot in good conscience recommend this dealership and would stay away if possible.
Extremely positive experience. Dan Erdei was full of information and answers to our questions. He obviously is knowledgeable about, believes in, and is passionate about his product (BMW), but never once did we feel any car salesperson pressure. Very thankful our paths crossed and look forward to being a loyal customer of Dans in the future.
No pressure sales! Steve Glenn was patient, knowledgeable and easy to work with. He made the process easy and painless (and I HATE car shopping!). The finance person was great as well. We were from about an hour away, where we also have a BMW dealer. We came to Grand Rapids because we had such poor service from our local dealer when car shopping. Very pleased with Sharpe and the low stress experience!
I recently had the pleasure of buying a new X5 through Sharpe BMW. Steve Glenn worked hard to find me the vehicle i was looking for on a rather tight timeline. If youre in the market for a new car, give Sharpe a call and ask for Steve - he will get it done for you.All of the staff that I interacted with were helpful, friendly, and professional. I felt very comfortable throughout the whole experience and never pressured into buying something that I wasnt interested in.I will be purchasing through Sharpe again.
I just traded in my X4 (which I hated to part with) and picked up my 530e today. The buying experience with Sharpe, and with Steven Glenn in particular, was again very good. The entire team was efficient and professional, from the first greeting, to the sale (Steven), to the management of the documents (Mary) and ending with the vehicle checkout (Dan). Very nice job, team. I am very happy with my new car.
Just purchased our second BMW through Steve Glenn at Sharpe BMW. Like the first time, Steve was outstanding to work with. Very patient with us, as we made sure we ordered exactly the car we wanted, and the car arrived perfectly. Highly recommend Steve and Sharpe. And we love the new X5!
Every time I go in I only get greeted by the staff on the sales side of the building. As soon as I go back to the service side not one service advisor makes one attempt to look up from their computer to say hi. When you ask for help they just go point in a direction and tell you to wait and someone will just come along to help. Have also brought my car in for service and was promised a wash and vacuum just to end up with my car looking like a cow with unwashed dirt patches all over the car and the interior was not even vacuumed.
Picked up my 2018 X5 on Monday. Love, Love the car. Dan Erdei was wonderful to work with. Ordered the car back in July and Dan kept us up to date on delivery. He was great in communicating everything. I have dealt with Sharpe for the last 10 years (this is my second X5) and have always been treated exceptionally well.
Attention: Dan Erdei and Brett Sisson ofThe Sharpe Dealership. In these challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic climate, it is very questionable about leasing a vehicle if one is in the high-risk category for COVID-19, such as myself.I would like to express a heartfelt THANKSfor my extra special service on Thursday October 8, 2020.I haven’t felt like a princess, since my grandparents were alive. Dan Erdei is certainly a man of integrity as well as your BMW Detail Manager Brett Sisson. They both gave me peace of mind about my decision to lease a vehicle. Thanks so much Sharpe for your excellent standard of service.Jamie (Schuitema) Beck, Traverse City, MI
Just bought a used 2009 BMW 328xi from them. This is my first experience with Sharpe and I have no complaints. Everyone I worked with was friendly and professional from Sean taking me through the actual sale to Nichole guiding me through the paperwork and financing stuff. The car is a used as is so hopefully it wont blow up in the near future, but based on the brief history with them so far, i have no issue giving them 5 stars.
I work with individuals that are handicapped. One of my guys loves to dream of owning a nice car some day. A sales person allowed my guy to sit in an I8 BMW. Another sales person spent at least 15 minutes with us, answering questions. We are very grateful for the kindness and time given to us.
Just purchased our second BMW vehicle from Sharpe in the last 13 months. Dealt with Dan Erdei both times. Dan work well with my wife and I. He had a nice balance of salesmanship and customer rapport in his approach. I would plan to deal with Dan again when the next car need arises. Only minor complaint is that once we agreed on the deal of the most recent purchase, we felt the closing administrative paper work, transfer transfer of plate and the contents from our trade vehicle and getting us on the road was overly rushed. Caused some of the administrative check marks to be missed and follow by Sharpe was necessary.
Great experience all around. Been looking for a certified BMW for a while and found what I wanted here, via CarGurus. Made contact through the website and went with my CU preapproval in hand, to see the car with Dan Erdei. He could have made it an even quicker deal by accepting that preapproval but he went the extra step to see what BMW Financial could do. They matched it AND gave a $750 interest credit at close. Love the car and Sharpe even took the car back to fix a blemish on the trunk lid and bumper, noticed while they were detailing it, at no cost to me. Thoroughly recommend all staff I came into contact with, reception, finance, and the Dan the genius that walks you through the finer points of the BMW. Thank you, all.
As a consumer I really appreciate companies that are going above and beyond to keep their customers safe during these challenging times. Dan Erdei was terrific at helping me handle a virtual transaction while being very responsive to answering my questions throughout. Love my new BMW!
I have used Sharpe BMW service for my vehicles for over four years. I have found them very honest and thorough. When they do an oil change for me, they also do a full vehicle inspection and have found minor repairs that needed to be made to avoid it becoming a major repair.Jason in service and the service team have always been professional and honest. I own 4 BMWs and proud to have Sharpe service them for me.Thank you
My long drawn out purchase finally came to fruition when Sharpe BMW came through with the perfect X3 for me. Steven Glenn was extremely patient and courteous with all of my mundane inquiries and silly questions. A couple of minor hiccups occurred in the process but Steve efficiently addressed each and every concern that I had throughout the process and after the sale. Additionally, I understand that Sharpe BMW has one of the best service departments nation-wide and I can only hope that that reputation proves true when it comes to my general preventative maintenance items. Thank you Sharpe BMW and thank you Steven Glenn.
Dan Erdei was fantastic in helping us put together a deal on a low mileage BMW X3. Needing to drive to GR from Troy, we had put a deposit on the vehicle, sight unseen, based on Dans assurance that the X3 was pristine. The care as exactly as Den represented it. When we arrived Dan had the spotless X3 in the indoor delivery area topped with a big red bow. The X3 was a Christmas surprise for my wife, so it was extra special to have the car presented that way.It was a long drive for a car, but in the end we got the color/options we wanted and exceptional service through Dan. I would recommend, without hesitation, Sharpe BMW and Dan in particular.
Worked with Brett S. on the purchase of two new 5 series cars. Brett was very easy to work with. He even came to my office when they needed an additional signature. How refreshing to get that level of service!Everything went very smoothly. I would highly recommend contacting Brett S. directly and look forward to working with him and Sharpe BMW again. Low pressure, knowledgeable and willing to get help when he didnt have the answer instead of blowing smoke.
Having purchased GM products for many years, I have purchased two BMWs (328 and i3) in the last two years from Sharpe and they have been excellent. Service has been exceptional. Car has always been delivered on time and they always have a loaner. Ill never go back to a dealership that is concerned with volume sales and not customer service.
Jason from the service department was fabulous! I have a 2006 325i BMW with 204,000 miles on it, so naturally the car needed some work done. Jason worked with me on pricing and met all of my needs. I did my homework and called a few mechanics and German garages in town and their pricing matched up to what Sharpe BMW was quoting. The repair job was done in less than a day too! They offered me complimentary rides while I didnt have my car.NOTE: I saw a review in here about dealerships discriminating based on age... I am 25 and blonde (I look like I could be taken advange of). Everyone at Sharpe was professional, helpful and treated me well.
UPDATE 2: Went from two stars to one. Why? Because the bad differential they told me about wasnt bad at all. I received two separate opinions on the matter and both told me there was nothing wrong with the differential. Just another stealership trying to rip people off...NEVER TRUST THIS DEALERSHIP. Go to Arie Nols for your service, you wont regret itUPDATE: When buying a used car, ask to see the items that were inspected or get the vehicle inspected by another shop before purchase. My car was apparently an as-is inspection which was NOT disclosed to me before purchase. I found out after the purchase I have a bad rear differential ($4,000), bad wheel bearing ($1,100), three bent rims ($1,000), and have already replaced brakes, a battery, and a brake wear sensor and have only driven 2,000 miles. I will not be buying another vehicle from Sharpe BMW unless I get it inspected by a 3rd party first, I DO NOT TRUST THEM.READ ABOVE FIRST!A first class BMW, Land Rover, Jaguar, and Mini dealership. They do right by their customers. Their staff is friendly and really wants you to be happy with your vehicle shopping and purchase. Thank you Sharpe BMW for providing a positive experience and coming through in the end. I love my 335xi and have you to thank.
This is my third BMW purchase from Sharpe. Each experience seems to get better - kind of like getting an A, and then getting an A+ ! Dan Erdei was my Client Advisor. This gentleman is tuned in ! He knows his product, knows the BMW business systems and does an excellent job of educating and communicating to me - the customer. And the icing on the cake ? When the owner takes the time to come over and Genuinely thank you for doing business at his store - that - to me - says a lot about the integrity and character of the establishment. I wholeheartedly recommend Dan Erdei and the Sharpe Group . By the way, Ive had service done at Sharpe. Again - A+ in that department also !
I dont write reviews , but these guys are well worthy of praise. sharpe bmw is a first class operation that makes their clientele feel like royalty. i can honestly say sharpe well exceeded my expectations as did my new bmw x1.dan erdei ...excellent sales person that from start to finish dealt with the utmost integrity. drew in finance, and jeremy the general manager all made a point of getting to know us and made sure we were beyond satisfied.our new beemer is awesome and the staff at sharp made the buying experience utterly fantastic.if you truly want a great deal from a very professional and courteous dealership....go to sharpe! dont waste time getting the runaround elsewhere. and, no, this is not a paid endorsement. just a quick note of gratitude for a job well done.kudos to sharpe bmw and its staff. im sending my daughter in to get an x3 soon.
I had the pleasure of working with Brett Sisson in purchasing my wife her very first BMW. I have bought many vehicles in my lifetime and I must say that this was the most memorable and enjoyable experience I have ever had. Jeremy runs a great dealership and Brett is the benchmark for all things customer service. We did not just buy a car, we bought an experience and Brett was attentive and walked us through every step of the process! The buying, paying, picking up, and showing every vehicle feature were all explained thourpuvhly.Brett is the type of person where I look forward to being able to buy another BMW from him. I would highly recommend SHARPE to anyone looking for a sharp vehicle with the best level of service!
If you want to buy a BMW go anywhere but Sharpe. Absolutely the worst customer experience in my life, the Sales Manager Jeremy Dutcher is arrogant and rude.Despite my horrible experience with the sales team, I have to say that Jason in service might be the one competent person there. I have only had great interactions with him.
This review is an attempt to clearly express a level of disappointment with the Sharpe Group that cannot be accurately or adequately summarized by the one star rating seen above.First, in the interest of fairness, I would like to point out that the facility is very nice, and the prices on their inventory are competitive. The sales staff are also very knowledgeable, and try to be as helpful as the framework set by management allows: more on that to come. This is not all that should be evaluated when considering a place of business where one goes to make a purchase as significant as an automobile. In fact, it isnt even a considerable portion of it.Where Sharpe COMPLETELY loses the plot, is in the total unwillingness and lack of flexibility of management to make a deal in any way; to really offer.....much of anything, to the customer. This fact was made ever clearer to me when I want to a shop just a few miles down the same street, which sells cars that belong to the same market segment (if that isnt the definition of the competition, I dont know what is), and was treated to an infinitely better buying experience.I went to Sharpe with a late-model, low mileage car of my own to trade in. To preface, I realize that a trade is never the best deal or situation, but bear with me. I was offered a full 15% (in this context, thousands of dollars) below the most conservative book trade-in value for the car, and management was completely unwilling to move even A DOLLAR, just to show some semblance of good faith and get a deal done. Im told that Sharpe strives hard to stick to market values, and this precludes them from being able to offer more for my car. Im told at length about the impracticality and cost that Sharpe would incur as a result of taking my RWD coupe on a trade at this time of year. Im not so naive as to not know that business is all about cost and money, but by the same token I dont believe that a dealership should make a customer feel like they are simply an outlet to transfer all costs to, and nothing else.So I go down the street, to another shop which is the designated dealer for a certain other brand of German luxury automobiles, which is also well known for their live market pricing approach. Imagine my surprise when this other dealer offers 25% more money for my trade, right off the bat, than Sharpe. Just like Sharpe, this shop does not specialize in the brand of vehicle I was trading in. Just like Sharpe, this shop specializes in a brand of luxury German automobiles. The car I bought there certified pre-owned, is the direct competition to the car I was looking at, at Sharpe. It was the same model year, same mileage range, and within 10% of the same price. These cars, when brand new, are very similarly priced. Im honestly fishing hard for mitigating circumstances here, to attempt to explain the vast chasm in trade-in value offered, but theyre just not there. At the end of the day, the Sharpe Group is very unwilling to deal, and sees the customer as nothing more than a means to an end: paying the bills, and lining their pockets. I would urge any prospective buyers to steer well clear of this establishment if at all possible. I have never written a Google review of a business in my life, yet my disdain for the management and experience I was treated to at Sharpe BMW inspired the essay you see above.
What a bunch of unprofessional tools (some of them).Okay, so im a recent graduate who obtained a great paying engineering position in Detroit. Two weeks ago I decided to check out the BMW dealership in GR with the full intent of buying one, and received terrific service from one of the staff members named Eric. Hesitant, of course, to jump into a purchase so quickly, I decided to come back next week with some friends who I knew would provide me better insight regarding the car I was looking at. When I arrived, I walked into the dealership and asked if Eric was there. He wasnt. So, I was helped by a guy named Dan. The entire hour or so I spent was not joyful whatsoever due to the fact that he treated me like some chump who was just there to test drive cars. Im guessing that because of my seemingly young age & relaxed attire he assumed there was no way I could afford such a car. Needless to say, the way I was treated put such a bad taste in my mouth that I no longer plan on purchasing from this dealership. So, great going, guys! You lost a great customer because your stupid ego got in the way.
Im not just a disgruntled customer. I rarely leave reviews, but this place deserves an exception.I bought my BMW from Sharpe a few years ago. It all went downhill after I agreed on a purchase price. When I showed up to take possession of my car I had to wait several hours for an associate to be available to complete my paperwork. They were completely under staffed and I wasted an entire Saturday morning waiting for them.I owned the car for two years and sold it because the maintenance costs were incredibly high. I was once quoted over $2000 to just replace a seat occupancy sensor. When I sold my car I needed to cancel an extended warranty plan that I had purchased. Apparently, there is only one woman at Sharpe that deals in these matters and she only works a few days per week (and she never returns phone calls). It also appears that there is absolutely zero interdepartmental communication. She canceled the warranty, but accounting sends out the checks and neither one of them have any clue what the other is doing. A month after I canceled the warranty I still hadnt received my refund. When I was finally able to reach the warranty woman she had no idea if my check had been issued. She finally followed up with me later in the week and said that the paperwork had never actually been filed (which I found odd because I had received the cancellation notice in the mail). She said that Sharpe would make an exception (as if they did me a favor) and cut me a check from their own account and send it out right away. Another week passed and I still hadnt received the check. I called the warranty woman and left a voice mail asking for a prompt response, but never received a callback. The icing on the cake is that I finally got my check.... which was mailed to an address that I havent lived at for 3 years. Excusable? Yes, if not for the fact that all of Sharpes junk mail and promotional offers had been making it to me just fine. They have literally mailed things to each of my past three addresses within the past week.Ill never shop here again. I have no idea why anybody would pay premium prices for unreliable vehicles and poor customer service.Keep in mind that my reviews are not an isolated experiences. A close friend owns a 535i wagon and has an absolute hatred for Sharpe BMW. Hes had over $10k in repair costs since owning the car and his stories about Sharpes customer service are quite laughable. Theyve kept his car in their shop for weeks on end.Do yourself a favor... buy a Subaru.
Sharpe has been very attentive to our service needs over the years. Recently we had a car that was out of warranty but had a very strange problem. Sharpe went to bat with the manufacturer and found a good compromise for both of us. Well buy more cars from this dealership and bring them in for service.
The service center in Grand Rapids, MI is absolutely terrible. Every time I have an issue I am on the phone for at least 20 minutes. The first time I brought my car in due to the tire always losing air. They kept telling me there was nothing wrong. I had to bring it in 3 times and on the third time I told them I wasn’t leaving until it was fixed. They ended up finding a nail. It should not take three times of me bringing my car in to fix a nail in the tire. Recently I brought my car in because the check engine light came on. They told me they fixed it. On my way home the light came back on. Brought it back the next day and they said they now needed to order a new part. Why didn’t you find this the first time I brought it in?! To make matters worse, they told me the part whoild be in, in about 3 days. It’s been two weeks and I still haven’t heard anything. I’m sure I will have to call them because they are terrible at calling back. After me lease is up I think I may go elsewhere. I love my BMW, but hate the service center.
I recently purchased a used 5 Series (not through Sharpe). I brought it to them because who better to inspect, diagnose, and let me know exactly where the car stands, right? They are expensive, but I was willing to pay the premium for their presumed expertise. I came in and paid for an oil change, as well as two $80 diagnostic fees, one for the iDrive and one for low boost. I have no idea what I got for that $160, but they failed to properly diagnose either problem. My iDrive controller is not responding. They tell me I need a new one. A basic diagnostic scan shows that the controller is sending all commands properly, but the head unit is faulty.I had a low boost condition code. They write me for two new turbos, when a simple smoke test shows a vacuum leak (about $5 and 5 minutes to fix).Apparently there was a courtesy inspection as part of the oil change. I’m not sure what this entailed. They missed a transmission line that was leaking and completely came off of the fitting THE NEXT DAY. Other things missed by their inspection include a torn air filter and warped and grooved brake rotors. On a positive note, they seem to have actually changed the oil, and the waiting room is very nice.
Thank you to Dan Erdei at Sharpe BMW for assisting in the lease return and new lease for my X5. This is the 4th vehicle weve gotten from Sharpe and our experiences have always been excellent...from sales to service. We are happy to be repeat customers with Sharpe and highly recommend them!
A sincere thanks to Dan Erdei at Sharpe BMW for his help on the lease of two new BMWs in the past six months. Both vehicles were factory orders, and both deals were seamless from building to ordering to delivery. For me, there is a huge value in trust and knowledge, and Dan brings both of those things to the table He is a real asset to the Sharpe family.
Steve was awesome! At 24 years old, I didnt expect to be treated seriously when inquiring about buying a new BMW....However, Steve guided me through the process effortlessly and treated me with respect and professionalism. He coordinated retrieving my sweet whip as fast as possible and in the end, we both had a great time with it. I can see myself driving BMWs for life. I absolutely love my 2016 BMW M235i....Not good for my ego, but yolo. Thanks, Steve! Last but not least, the woman who took care of the paperwork, Nichole, is a gorgeous and super charismatic person. I had a wonderful experience!
Do not lease from this dealership. I leased a brand-new BMW 550i-x from here, and after two years (24k miles), was charged nearly 4k when I turned the car in. They did not reach out to me to schedule lease inspection, or pre-lease inspection, I had to contact them, and it was an extremely laborious process. The 4k was supposedly because my tires were below tread and rims had dings (I saw nothing). When I reached out to challenge the charges immediately after turn-in, they claimed that the car had already left their facility and there was nothing they could do. It was fun having a BMW... great car - but Ill never trust a Sharpe dealership again, and they likely ruined my chances of buying a BMW again either.
Just had my 2010 535XI serviced by Sharpe. The car was not starting and needed front brakes. Set up an appointment, dropped the car off and then was informed that besides the brakes and battery, the oil pan seal was leaking. Was told that it would run about $1,400 to $1,700 to repair everything. I questioned it but decided to move forward and get it fixed. Went to pick up the car and the total bill was over $3,700. Apparently, their labor charge is about $200.00/hr. and that was not disclosed. I questioned the lady who took my money as how they could charge so much and she said, being a mechanic is really hard work. Indeed, and at that rate, I may change professions. Anyway, I checked with other auto repair facilities and with the work I had done, they would have charged a total of around $1,500.00.So beware of dealing with Sharpe, their labor charges are off the charts.
Failed to fix my valve cover gasket that failed. The (pcv) valve heater was recalled and caused pressure in the crankcase and caused it to blow to which they denied, but the recall says other wise. Apparently to sharp its normal for a gasket to just randomly fail with less than 100,000 miles. 2011 BMW 328i xdrive.
Came here for parts for my 2003 330ci convertible. I am from Florida, and needed the part by next morning. The parts folks here were a great help. Ordered the correct part and offered to assist me with the installation. Did not need the assist, but it was very welcomed. Great service and parts department.
Hi- LOVE this dealership! Brett in sales-fantastic-found the perfect vehicle-so helpful and personable from start to finish! 2nd vehicle we have purchased. Jason in service always the best! many thanks to Dan, the IT genius who spent a lot of time with us. Jeremy gave great advice on choices for finance options. Many thanks, Lucia & Larry Patzelt
Outstanding experience with the service department today. Tom and Jason were extremely helpful, price was MUCH better than expected, and they got me in and out. Not only did they provide me with the best driving experience in a BMW, but they also have the best service.NB
Steve Glenn was my sales person, and he was awesome; he went above and beyond to get me the car that fit my needs! I wasnt even sure if I was going to lease another BMW; I had a nothing to lose attitude - I told Steve my situation, and he made it happen EXACTLY within my parameters! I couldnt be happier! You need to go see Steve!
I live in Chicago and was driving to Grand Rapids for my Dads birthday when I was informed of a low tire. Since I have run flat tires, I continued to drive slowly for approximately 50 miles when my car started shaking and I pulled off the expressway. I called BMW Roadside assistance and they were able to arrange a truck to tow me to Sharpe after hours. I dropped my keys in the drop box at night and was surprised to hear from them the first thing the next morning (I expected that I would need to call and wonder when my car would be ready). I talked with Jason Bigelow and he informed me that he had already put a new tire on and will call when it was ready to go (which was within 2 hours later). I couldnt believe it - the proactive initiative, caring (I had actually talked to Jason the day before when I was on the expressway for advice) and all around customer service was phenomenal. Not that I pine for another flat tire, but if I do have another car issue, I hope its around Grand Rapids. Thanks Guys!!
BMWs are one of the worst cars made... problem after problem with his hunk of junk!! To add insult to injury, Sharpe is one of the worst dealerships I have ever dealt with in my life!Youd better REALLY like the name BMW, to be brave enough to own one of these troublesome machines. If you like getting the runaround and having tons of problems with your car, this would be a great place for you. I would rather own a Ford. I wouldnt walk away from this dealership, I would RUN! Rude!Whoever does the corresponding follow up emails for the company, Dont bother.. Youve Already lost this customer..Best of luck to future customers.
My experience with Sharpe BMW was a very good one. I will say that my Sharpe BMW client advisor, Emily Fortier, was outstanding to work with.I am a bit of a car guy, and did a significant amount of shopping at multiple BMW, Porsche and Audi dealerships in my quest for the next car. I was not only evaluating vehicles, but the dealerships, and their sales and service staff that would be standing behind these vehicles.I recently purchased a 2017 BMW 440i Gran Coupe from Ms. Fortier at Sharpe BMW. Emily’s combination of product knowledge, professionalism, authentic customer focus and passion for the product was unmatched. Some things that impressed me; Emily had the technical background of a BMW Genius; the technical expertise to wade through all of the user interface technical features that BMW offers. She was able to effectively explain technical subject matter to a reasonably bright, but non-technical person (that would be me). She not only explained the “whats” and “hows”, but also the “whys”. Emily also showed tremendous car knowledge and passion for the BMW brand (she owns and is her own mechanic for two BMW classics). She is as well versed under the hood as she is with the technical aspects; answering all of my questions as well as some that I should have asked. She had the right balance, not pushy but attentive customer service, through the sales process.Emily Fortier struck me as a truly authentic customer focused professional, very caring, engaging, a good listener; and a willing researcher of product solutions to meet my needs. I trusted her professionalism and as a person. She affirmed my impressions later with an experience I had three weeks after I purchased the car. Briefly, I hit one of our lovely Michigan potholes, and ruined a run-flat tire. I called the Service Department and was told that they did not have a tire in stock (it was a new tire for BMW) and that they did not have a solution. So far, not a good service experience! So I called Emily, who was at the end of her work day. She could have handed me off to someone else. Instead, she dropped everything to advocate for me. An hour later a loaner car was waiting for me when I walked in the door. In and out in five minutes. It went from a negative service experience to a very positive experience thanks to Emily’s advocacy.I won’t hesitate to call Emily Fortier again for the next car and highly recommend her to anyone looking to work with a customer focused professional. -- Daniel Waugh, Grand Rapids, MI --Final Note: I later learned that while Sharpe BMW did not have a tire available, the person I’d talked to in Service was maybe newer in the role and they acknowledged a coaching opportunity there….I was glad to hear that the Service department had followed up…showing that the Sharpe really believes in good service.
WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! I bought 3 series, but the customer service is bad(i can say worst). Jeremy Dutcher Sales manager, Mary from Financial services, Anthony from sales were rude and harsh and didnt even have patience to explain the things. Not even welcomed to have a seat or water and finally when I expressed about my concerns, they realized that they are rude. I went out of showroom with 3 series in a very unsatisified, dissappointed, unhappy.
Clearly the Review Tracy Hinson wrote was coerced(inside dealer related), for she even singled out another reviewer. The Sure signs of an inside review job - And there is no way in the WORLD Sharpe BMW(or any dealership for that matter) beat the price of a small business, Local Mechanic, Impossible!!! Sharpe BMW even outsources their own work(locally) to save money(they sent my body work to Coffman Glass)- Next time you leave a biased review, for the sake of making the dealership look good, and an [honest] reviewer look bad, try to make it little more convincing ... Or it could be possible, Tracy didnt thoroughly do her homework, and was mislead(giving you the benefit of the doubt). You make the choice. I would never purchase another car form this place again. They have done we wrong on several different levels.
This is by far the worst service ever! We brought our 2009 750i for a check up because it was acting weird they called us back and figured out had some recall with the ignition coils, I came back to pick up my car same problem never fixed! I literally came back 5 times before they fixed it! Note we had to pay 1400 even tho it was a recall! This is not the only BMW we have they all have stupid problems every week! Sucks! Also the person that helped me was Jason not sure of his last name! BMW are the worst!
Over the last week i have been dealing with George Sharpe Jr, Jeremy Dutcher, Steve Glenn & Paul in Land Rover working through a matter involving a lease i had for 39 months and i was in the 10th month of it. A situation had taken place where we had some miscommunication and after getting everyone involved, the afore mentioned group got together and worked out a solution which was acceptable to all parties to rectify. They truly took the approach of making right a wrong and putting the customer first. I would like to thank all of them for their respective inputs, which led to a solution which will keep me coming back to the Sharpe Collection for years to come.
Had my car worked on at a different shop they messed it up these guys got me in within 1day and had the issues fixed fast they detailed my car with out asking.I would definitely recommend them my car is a 2004 545i they treated me like it was a brand new car couldnt have asked for better costumer service only thing i didnt not like is they dont take cash only card.
Dont bother buying a BMW from here. They arent competitively priced and the car will always cost you more than if you buy it from literally anywhere else. Deals can be had in Chicago and Milwaukee that are far superior. Sales people tend to not be knowledgeable about the vehicles which just makes the situation more frustrating. Service department is ok, but usually is booked out two weeks or so and have no emergency appointments.
Last oil change, when I open the hood at home was fully nasty with DPF over filled and not cleaned up and never filled with the coolant.Today as 10/12/2016 I called in for oil change Jason was very good told come in Now if I want or Saturday is the closest open apt and came in right of way will see how it goes .
Took my X5 here to diagnose a persistent long crank issue. I found Jason in service to be somewhat abrasive, rushing me, and completely tuning out everything i was saying in describing the issue. He took the keys and I was pointed to the waiting room. When the diagnose was done, I was given the keys, charged $80-100, and given a sheet of $7,000-$8,000 in recommended services(just as all my personal references told me I would), including a new MAF meter swap, which inexplicably was supposed to address my crank issue. I explained to Jason that this made absolutely zero sense. But it didnt matter.Given my experience, i went elsewhere for the work. The crank issue was diagnosed and fixed due to an injector leak(nothing to do with the MAF). I also had my 2 rear wheel bearings swapped. Jason had diagnosed and listed my FRONT bearings as being bad. After this experience, i contacted Sharpe and requested a supervisor call back. Did not receive one. I may consider filing a chargeback if my next attempt goes unreturned. If you are looking to spend $100 for a cappuccino from the machine, listen to realtors talk on their phones in the waiting room, and get your vehicle back with a quick spray of water and a printout of overpriced recommendations in the event you are itching to spend $10k+ on something... This is definitely the place to go!
I simply called for a battery registration, something I had never heard of, they explained what it was, the cost, then explained if battery light was not on it was fine. They didnt have to lose the sale! Unbelievably good services!! If I buy new Cooper, it will be here!!!
I decided to try Sharpe again after a very poor experience over a year ago (They wanted to replace the alternator in order to resolve a transmission issue). I decided to make an appointment to have my 530 looked at again. The first time I called and left a voice message that was never returned. I called again and spoke with a service manager who said he would call me back but never did.
They treated me like a tire kicker( even though I drove a late model porsche), I left dissappointed and did not get to test drive the car I wanted, the sales person was very polite but was not keen on making a sale. Maybe it was the way I was dressed(just come from the gym).Flashy suit if there is a next time.
Too old school of an approach to sell cars to millennials. We are thrifty and understand the internet better. I know what you paid at the auction. I already have approved financing. I don’t need to hear your antiquated sales pitch. It’s obvious I already know more about the car than you. Millennials come prepared. It’s time that you do as well.
Had a scheduled appointment but it never happened. I waited for 25 minutes and never got a person who waited on me. I finally had to leave. No one has even called me to ask where I am for the appointment. Apparently vehicle recall appointments are not liked or maybe not wanted. Idk. Not sure what was going on, but it wasnt my appointment!

2022-06-26We’ve looked at several cars in the past week and spoken with several salesman and sales managers who were very difficult to work with and made it a hassle. We found a used car online on Sharpe’s lot — a 3 hour drive from home — and called to make sure it was available before making the drive to check it out. From the first moment Drew answered the phone to the final handshake as he handed us the keys, he was beyond AMAZING to work with!Drew made buying a car super easy. He walked us through the process, helped us iron out some details, and even wiped down the car himself while we were in financing so it looked great before we headed off the lot.We hope we don’t have to buy another car anytime soon, but we’ll definitely give Drew a call if we do.Drew, Shawn (financing), and the rest of the team are some of the best in the business!!Give Drew a call if you’re in the market for a new or used car!

2021-12-27Just leased a 2021 BMW from Sharpe.Worked with John, who was curious, patient, and professional. He focused on learning what was important to me to match me with the vehicle that best met my needs and wants. There were challenges on my end that caused delays. (Buying new house). John never tried to rush the deal through to close the sale, was empathetic, and kept me updated on my options. He ensured I was able to secure a vehicle, which given limited inventory (nationwide - not just at Sharpe), was greatly appreciated. An example of John focusing on what was important to me, was recommending a 2021 due to its ability to have tech features I wanted that were not available on the newer models due to chip shortages. The entire team at Sharpe were top notch, including following up to ensure I liked the vehicle, understood how the lease program works and how leasing is different than purchasing, and having the car set up how I wanted it.If you are a first time leader, I highly recommend going through sharpe because they are up front, transparent, and provide you information to understand your options.Switched from a Mercedes, and I’m glad to have based on the car and the service provided by John and the entire team at Sharpe.

2022-05-16Aaron Arraut at Sharpe provided the best vehicle purchasing experience I have ever had. I still cant believe it was only his second week! From start to finish, Aaron and the rest of the Sharpe team were very low pressure, knowledgeable, and overall the most professional team I have had the pleasure of working with.Where most people in sales would push to make a sale and move on the next customer, Aaron sought to make sure I was making the correct decision that fit my needs and current situation. You will not be disappointed by visiting Aaron and the rest of the team at Sharpe!

2022-01-18I purchased my M6 from Sharpe BMW - the only BMW dealership that doesnt seem to hike up their prices even in this market. No hidden fees. DAN ERDEI is your go to guy! He will make sure you are 100% satisfied with your experience at Sharpe BMW. Thank you so much Dan, for your professionalism, courtesy, and for all your help even weeks after I left your lot.

2022-04-19Ordered a 2022 BMW from John Sergeant. Overall, the experience was very good and I highly recommend him for sales at Sharpe BMW. He communicates well and often which is important when ordering a new vehicle. Also, Drew Vandentoorn was exceptionally helpful with the technology upon delivery. Shawn Ruger handled the financial closing and is quite friendly and competent. Overall we’re delighted with our experience at Sharpe BMW. Well run business with dedicated employees. Great family oriented place to do business. Will definitely refer my family and friends!
