Repair experience was awful. My leather bag was mailed, delivered and signed for. After 6 weeks with no contact, I contacted to get an update on the status of the repair. The bag was MIA. Instead of offering a replacement of the now out of stock bag with a comparable one a gift card was issues for the sale price at the outlet. Worst customer service experience.

I love what this company is trying to do. They are leaders in the movement to create enterprises that align profits with social causes. That is the reason when I needed a leather briefcase, I came here and bought online. Excellent quality and really good looking. Pricey? Yes, but I will continue to support socially conscious businesses like this.

Horrible customer service.I’ve emailed several times with absolutely zero response to emails simply asking for an update on a returned item I sent back via shipping over a week ago.Not sure why simple emails aren’t tended to. I just want to make an exchange and the lack of customer support here makes it excruciatingly difficult.

Great idea good structure but horrible leadership and everyone quits because they choose friends over brains and looks over knowledge. Nothing gets fixed or managed correctly. Rolls at the company arent followed they are passed to people that get less money and have better common sense. Typical old boy network with women also. This company had potential to be really great for detroit but it doesnt utilize its talents within and choose to give management and leadership rolls to friends and people they hang with outside of work. This is a problem for a supposed city built company that cares about being looked at as a multi cultural company that prides itself on being a balanced work environment. Recently they gave a survey for the company but sent it through email and said its anonymous but the email is tied to our computers ip. Which makes it easy to see who says what. This is a problem also because u are punished or fired for airing out the true problems within the company. So many of us love this company but the management has to be revamped from within because its alot of talent being overlooking and underpaid because the company is in a city that needs jobs they pay the minimum. I see why alot of their business model is like Apple now. I like shinola but it needs to take care of its workers and fix the incompetence inside its ranks.

Terrible company for minorities. Still a company with a leadership that doesnt run the company well but the people that are loyal and actually make leadership look good dont get paid enough or promoted for their value. The upper executives need to recognize this and talk to employees and value their responses instead of holding it against them. Alot of the people there love the brand but are afraid to say anything with fear of losing their jobs. You need URBAN LEADERSHIP IN A URBAN CITY..... ESPECIALLY ON A BRAND WHERE MINORITIES BUY AND WORK FOR THE BRAND...

Worst customer support ever! Do not buy this product. I advised the sales person the watch was a gift and asked about return policy. I was advised 100% satisfaction guaranteed - no hassle return. It has been almost 45 days since I have been trying to return it. I have been told numerous times that a return shipping label has been sent and still nothing! I have sent emails and escalated yet still nothing. I am at point where I am going to send back and send proof to my credit card company to cancel the transaction. I am at my wits end! Recommend spending the extra money and buying a watch from a reputable company.

Company is horrible at delegating power. They have the most unqualified people in charge and because their friends they are allowed to ruin the company. Shinola has so many bright people that are in positions as workers and I fear its because they are women and minorities . I hate to say that but its true. Ive met ladies there that have so much education and ideas but scared to say anything cause they fear getting fired. Thats a shame in a company thats in a urban city. A place where the ideas and knowledge of the people in the area should be embraced and used to bring profit to the company. instead you hire and bring in people from islands and east coast that have no idea of watch development or what the consumer wants. I like shinola it had alot of room for growth and large profit but the leadership chooses old boy and eye candy over real employees and loyalty. The company had lost whole departments over the past year. They should look to those that stay for leadership and ditch the dead weight in charge of development and production as well as inventory management and ordering. I swear shinola do the area people better and pay them like you pay the ones that dont deserve it and cost you money...

Approximately a year and a half ago, I bought the Shinola Runwell Chrono. About a month ago, one of the chrono buttons fell off without my knowledge until a friend pointed it out. I was so very upset by this! I had spent a lot on a piece that I was proud to wear! Made in Detroit! I started to judge the name and reputation for quality. That is until I made a visit to the storefront myself. The employees were very welcoming and happy to help. I was quoted 30 minutes, they took my watch, and brought my girlfriend and I complimentary coffee while we waited. About 15-20 minutes later, the man helping us approached me with watch in hand. He apologized because they didnt have the parts and could not fix it in the time quoted so they replaced THE ENTIRE TOP FACE. The silver case, crystal, and buttons. It looked like a new watch! As you can imagine after wearing a watch for over a year, the silver is bound to get scratched and scuffed. I was not expecting that! They really went above and beyond for me! It completely changed my opinion and I will forever be a loyal customer. Thank you, Shinola!
