Great prices. Nice facilities.Edited:. Now that Ive been there for a couple of years, I am a bit disappointed that the rent has increased several times last year with NO IMPROVEMENTS to the facility. They cut my lock off despite making arrangements to pay delinquent rent, then (after I got my rent current) notified me 3 months later that Im in violation of my contract for not having a lock on my unit, and they will charge me an extra $40 a month until I buy another lock. Ive been out of town on a job assignment so the manager was nice enough to wave the no lock penalties.I have yet to return to see if my stuff is even still in the unit.
Everything about my experience was pleasant except when it came time to vacate. I left on the 15th of the month and was told my pro-rated refund would not be issued because it was too late in the month. Frankly I dont care if its a $1 refund. By right, its mine. If I had left on the 2nd of the month, they would be asking for two days rental fee. Treat me the same as you want to be treated.
I recently moved to Michigan from Arizona and needed a place to store my things while I waited to move into a more permanent residence. Jamal did a fantastic job of working with me to find a unit that made the most sense for my budget and the amount of things I had to store. The location is pretty big and has good options. Price was fairly reasonable it wish it was a little less expensive. At least for the first month. Overall great experience. Thanks, Jamal!
I called many different facilities trying to find the best rates. Everyone I spoke with was helpful. Then I met Chris at Simple Self Storage. She stood out immediately. Chris not only asked the right questions, and listened, she did everything she could to help me feel comfortable all for a price no one could match. Chris helped me find a unit that was exactly what I needed when I was under pressure. She was also very friendly and seemed cheerful each time Ive stopped in. Chris is so awesome... She is so very willing to help where she can. I am so impressed with her friendliness and and genuine kindness. In this day and age not too many people in customer service take the time to go above and beyond as she did with me let alone didnt make me feel like I was a bother. My fiance & I recently had to move our belongings into storage while we waited to move into our new house. We looked into a different storage place first, then went here. Not only was the price better, we also got a unit that was indoors & climate controlled. Chris was great, she is very friendly & helpful.
After leaving another storage facility we have used the Mini Storage Depot for several years now. It works out great for our business needs, especially with the 24 hour access and they do not charge extra for that. The property is clean and nicely maintained, we have always had a great experience with the management and they provide great customer service.
Chris the manager is totally awesome! I saw some bad reviews but this place has changed hands I believe because the manager is a female not a male. Chris and I played phone tag for 3 days before I spoke with her and each voice mail I received from her was happy and upbeat, she wasnt annoyed at all. Chris made this storage THE place to go! There were quite a few other places closer to me one being a different Simply Self Storage and a few that were cheaper but those people had the personality of a 2x4! We originally reserved a smaller unit not knowing if it would be big enough but Chris talked us through a few different scenarios and gave us ideas. We met with Chris on Saturday and she took the time to show us the different units so we could choose. It was a pleasure working with Chris and everyone in customer service should have her attitude! This is the place to go!
Chris truly is such a wonderful person she made me feel almost like part of the crew right away. Not only did she help me find the unit best for me, she also had everything ready while juggling between multiple people. Major asset to the company, I hope they show her the appreciation she has earned.

I called looking around for a storage unit on the phone with customer service/corporate headquarters I was told $105/mo for 10x15, no big deal I asked if that included all the fees and stuff they said yes, they also told me I had to pay prorated amount for January, I asked how much that is gonna be and they said $47 dollars! I go into the store and finish signing up, they gave a free lock which was nice, once the paperwork was done the told me $69.90 I told them I was told $47 they said that theirs administration fees and stuff, I completely understand they have to pay the staff but when I ask how much it all is through the phone included the administration fees and as well when I ask a monthly price also tell your customers that their is a $10 safeguard fee as well no matter what! Poor communication skills and if I didn’t need it I would’ve went somewhere else
This place has customer service that rivals Comcast. They will absolutely rape you on charges so beware. I cancelled my unit and was never once told that I needed to remove the lock or I would continue to get charged past that date. And when asked about it all they say is its out policy. There are a thousand storage units in the Wyoming area, you can do a whole lot better than this place. Stay as far away from this place as possible.
Simply recently took over and we have been very frustrated the lady they had in the office was not helpful at all and we where ready to move. Chris is new here and we just met her and so glad shes here she talked to us and explained things CLEARLY and straighten it all out. But she took care of us and we plan on staying now till we get into our house. Thanks Chris!
Of the staffing, one could not ask for better! Energetic and friendly, Chris has a knack for making the inevitable bad day of moving seem not so bad. Clean and secure facilities are there when you need them. Show up for the strage facility, leave happy because of Chris! Surely she is underpaid!
DO NOT RENT HERE! YOU HAVE Been WARNED!Beware of the positive reviews! WOOD-TV did a story on this place due to the rats & mice that have destroyed peoples property. The manager hid refused to be interviewed. Why hide if youve done nothing wrong? (Google: mini storage depot wyoming mi mice) Nor would the owners, based in Indiana, do anything. I rented and paid for a 5 x 5 storage space. My belongings did not seem to fit so I measured it. The space turns out to be less than 5 wide & ONLY 3 1/2 deep! Thats just fraud! I complained to the manager & several employees (manager has been there for years but cant keep any employees). The manager refused to do anything as he is apathetic towards the customers. And depending on which employee of the moment you speak with, you get a different answer. They cant keep customers due to poor customer service & the rate hikes which are exorbitant. They offer a $1 Move-In Special - they do this due to the high vacancy. As soon as you move all your stuff in they really jack up the rates so they get their money back from the so-called Special & you just end up moving. Also, they claim in their own lease to give a 30-day notice for all rate hikes - this 30-day notice has NEVER EVER happened! They do NOT abide by the terms of their OWN lease. More fraud!
I have been sharing a storage unit with my significant other and recently made the switch to my own space- the process of switching over was so simple and the staff was super helpful with the transition. My unit is clean, safe, and I feel comfortable with my stuff there.
I loved my time with this facility. The staff was very friendly and they went above and beyond to help. Also, a very clean place which is very important to me because I was storing my whole life pretty much :) I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone in need of a storage unit.
There are a lot of mice in this facility. I have heard other customers complaining about this and you can also see signs of them in the hallways and in the lockers.I tried to cancel my unit for 3 months In a row, each month I was told that my account was canceled and for 2 months I got another bill. I paid them for 2 months I wasnt using the unit each time calling and asking them to cancel it. Sean said I was all set....2 months I a row. Now 3 months after originally canceling I was sent to collections and Sean changed his story and refused to do anything about it.also the plummers Porta potty place is next door...maybe thats where the rodents come from
This place is a joke. The gate that should have been locked at all times was open for three months or more straight. We I complained they basically told me, it is what it is. They also didnt have a very good understanding of property maintenance. Stay away there are plenty of other storage places in better shape.
Stored my stuff here for 3 months while I was looking for a home. After a while I slowly started to remove my things (mid december). I saw a mouse so I layed out some of my own traps and caught 3. My stuff had mouse urine and feces all over everything causing hundreds in damages. Also on a couple occasions I found a homeless man sleeping in the interior hallway. On one occasion I returned the next day and found used toilet paper and a pile of human excrement.
Im LOCKED IN.management just told me the number. *49512# and surprise I need to leave and it isnt working... I am now trapped, and no one will help. Corprat cant help. And no one will answer the phones. Ive left 3 messages.And now I have to call the non emergency number. I would give zero stars.

2022-07-22Worst customer service, Ive stored a motorcycle here for 3 years and they recently had my vehicle towed from the property while I was away for less than 24 hours. Not a single issue until now, new management is a joke. They refused to pay for the towing fees, or discount my monthly fee at all so I closed my account instantly. No attempt to make the situation right. There have been multiple security keypads / locks broken and unfixed for the entirety of my membership. Beware of the shadiness that is going on here, free rent is obviously a marketing ploy to soak up new customers. Its great until they constantly raise the price of your unit claiming it is for improvements of the property when that obviously isnt happening. Dont expect loyalty to the customer, or your vehicle to be there when you return from a ride. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS PLACE.

2022-08-01I wish I could hit 0 stars. One star is way to generous for the facility with faulty garage doors that could fall on someone. New management is rude, swears at customers and pretty much has no value of your time and money. Not worth the price you pay or the headache that comes along with dealing with Simply Storage. Even your district manager is passive on how things are handled. Not how you treat customers especially when your a business owner yourself and feel devalued as a human being by being treated like garbage. Take your business where its appreciated and valued!! Sorry Danny I made you cry and to the store manager Tasha the internet is a powerful tool.

2022-07-22Shady/Watch your back...New management has little regard for long time customers and service has immediately depleted upon them taking over. They are not even attempting to help when a 3-year customer, whom they had his car towed for not having any identification.A security/storage company should have cameras, correct? Well is that not identification enough that this was CLEARLY someone who has paid access to a unit and could get into the locked premises? The new management should make things right by covering his towing expenses and remedy this issue immediately. Shame on them for this complete lack of consideration for the situation.
