Comment: After returning car they dropped me downstairs at baggage area. Anyone who knows LAX knows that to get to departing from downstairs they have elevator only because it’s strictly for baggage claim. The elevators are over 100 yards apart! Then also, he dropped me at the wrong terminal for my gate. Had to walk well over a mile to get to my terminal, then to the gate! Idiots. And their checkin took me 20 minutes to just get to an agent!! All this with only 3 passengers on his bus. Too hard to keep track apparently. Wont use them again!!!!

Comment: 20 minute wait for shuttle. Then had to wait in 2 additional lines at facility. Staff was on their cellphones instead of helping customers. Got car with less than full tank. Said they would credit...they didnt. Advise to go elsewhere

Comment: Booked a full-size sedan for 3 weeks. Got brand new 0 miles Genesis g80 with 4wd and 300hp. Car was perfect as our vocation. Guys at the desk where patient and helped us to resolve all the issues with our cerdit card and girl at the pickup provided us with brand new car seat. Comment: Booked on Orbitz for a specific drop off time and date and for a client and for some reason, the date on the invoice was different. Customer service would not let me adjust the date even though SIXT was the one that made the mistake on the date and I was the one that helped the passenger book. The agent asked for all the verification and I was able to answer all questions but then proceeded to ask to speak with the main driver. Why ask the questions if you can’t help me with my booking without the driver? No other car rental company has a policy like this.

Comment: I thought I was late because the last rental time slot was 1:00am... So, after running into the location, I found out I had until 2am to arrive! That made me feel Sooo much better! The staff was great & processed my rental in a matter of minutes! Ive always liked the way they run their rental operation. Comment: One of your drivers pulled the most wildly aggressive and totally unnecessary moves Ive ever seen on the road to cut me off and get into the parking lot. He slammed on the gas, got in front of me and nearly hit me-- and there were literally no cars behind me. He nearly missed his turn just to cut me off. Teach your people to drive.

Comment: Really disappointed in Sixt after having had nothing but positive rental experiences in the past. First, the shuttle took nearly 30 minutes to pick us up and when it did it arrive, it was so full that I was forced to stand in the stairs by the door to keep luggage from falling out (felt very unsafe). Second, the vehicle is filthy and poorly maintained. Oil life is at 0% and the van is giving me constant reminders that an oil change is required.Edit: customer service line approved a vehicle exchange. Only issue was the 45 minute drive back to LAX.

They never communicated any sort of apology or anything. 2 months later I got a threat to go to collections within a week, despite never receiving an updated invoice.

Comment: I had a terrible experience renting a car from SIXT Rent a Car at Los Angeles International Airport. I booked a car, and when I asked if I could change it, they said I could, but I would have to pay for both rentals—the original car and the new one—for the entire rental period. Ultimately, they didnt give me the car because I had a debit card, and with it, I needed a return ticket, which I hadnt bought yet since my return trip is in a month. I couldnt book a ticket now because if I did, I would have to pick up the car tomorrow due to their rule that the return ticket must be purchased at least 24 hours in advance. This was the worst service and the most ridiculous rules I have ever encountered. I am extremely dissatisfied and do not recommend Sixt to anyone. They are much more expensive than other services but have a terrible service. I will never use this service again.

Comment: The worst rental experience ever. Booked a full size car for over a month. Initially sent to a car with dents in every panel and the dash displaying that service was required. Second vehicle offered was a downgrade 2 categories to a compact car. No paperwork is a bit of a trick as you have to read a lengthy contract sent by email to your phone - if you realise that’s the process as they don’t tell you that at the desk. Then they charged more that the price booked for the full size car for the compact. Then when we tried to take 4 passengers we realised seatbelts were faulty in the back seats. After many many phone calls and emails there was no apology and they still charged close to the agreed amount for the downgraded faulty car. Never ever again. I see other sites with reviews now averaging less than two so wonder how Google has them rated so highly. Possibly historic. Do yourself a favour and go with one of the reputable rental companies.PS. Magnanimous that they reply to offer I log a service request when I have wasted time logging 4 service requests previously. The final, after returning from my holiday, with an 8 page document requesting a management review as the previous 3 were not satisfactorily resolved. The result being a less than $4 per day decrease in charge for a car that rents at $10 per day less. A reply just today telling me thats a good deal!!

The cars are covered and in a large warehouse.The only detractor was the relentless voice of the dispatcher, who was in a surly mood and making surly comments to/about the drivers. Stay kind. Comment: Rental experience was great. Used the website and app to make the reservation and pickup was smooth, easy, and fast. Car was in excellent condition and had no issues. Return was also easy and fast. Francisco checked in several cars that came in all at once (I was the last one) and he got to me within a few minutes (like 3 or 4). He surveyed the car and checked me in very quickly and was very polite.The only reason this was not a 5-star review was the misinformation on the website! I received information from Sixt the day before my return about the process. They said that the return operation would not be open (I was returning at 3:30 am) and to turn the keys over to the security guard. They also said the shuttle would not be running, and since they are off-airport I booked an Uber to take me to the terminal. Well, it turns out the return operation is open 24 hours and the shuttle runs 24-hours as well. Cost me $25 for the stupid Uber that was completely unnecessary.

Comment: They use to be awesome. I have rented from them several times. They use to give a luxury experience. I am so disappointed now you have to talk to third parties not the branch, can’t get a hold of the branch. The escalade we rented was filthy, smelled like cigarettes and weed. The car was not clean at all. When you pay premium prices you would think that the suv would actually be clean. I am super disappointed. On top of that the hold for the deposit which is the amount of the rented. So you have to pay double. I will never do best with this company again. On top of that I left something on the shuttle and I have no idea how I can get it back because Sixt told me that the shuttles are third party.

Comment: Terrible. NEVER RENT FROM them!They made up damage to bill us!At first we were impressed because they were cheaper and the people are friendly. But the 2024 Chevy Traverse we rented had a brake malfunction several days into our trip. You had to hit the break extremely hard and the car would not let you go above 40 mph. It was very dangerous, especially driving on the interstate and in busy LA traffic, and we had our kids with us! After a long time on the phone they sent us a new vehicle and towed away the old one. Great!When we returned the car at the end of our trip, my husband walked around the vehicle and checked it with the Sixt person. No damage. We have a receipt saying no damage observed upon return.Then a few days later we get an email saying there is damage to the vehicle! They don’t say what the damage is, or provide a picture, justthat there is damage they are investigating.And guess who has to pay the towing bill to replace their unsafe, faulty vehicle? We do!Overall, we feel they are making up damages and fees to recuperate their money.

Comment: I lost my driver’s license recently, for now I only have a temporary drivers license which is printed on the paper. On sixt official website, it said as long as the temporary driver’s license is not expired, sixt will recognize it. Looks like I shouldn’t run into any problems.Unfortunately even if I provided my passport and my temporary paper license. Staff in Sixt is not able to help. Nothing against the staff in the branch, I believe there were trying to help. It’s just a headache when I actually go to a branch they aren’t able to honour what’s written on the website. It’s weird they say they need a physical driver’s license, but a physical *paper* driver’s license would not work.I meant to give the staff 5 star but ending up giving a 3 star to get more attention in case someone else’s vacation plan screwed because your “physical driver’s license” is a piece of paper, not a card.

Comment: It was great until they try and tell me I never returned the traverse. Someone is try to pull one over on me I guess. We returned traverse on June 1st at 5:00 am. We drove inside where the drop off area was. The guy said leave key in vehicle and I said that’s it and he said yes. We got our 4 month old baby out and 11 year old daughter and me and wife got on bus and went to lax. I don’t know what more u want. I keep getting emails that we haven’t returned it. Look and the damn cameras we brought it back.

Comment: This location is awesome! I am from houston and came to La to visit for a couple of days. Went to this Sixt rental car location and Andrew was AWESOME!!! I had already had some trouble because i rented a car on expedia but they weren’t allowing me to pick up the car on the day i landed in La!!! I explained all my issues to Andrew and he got me the best rate and car! He is so Humble and really helped me with all my issues i was having renting through Expedia. He even gave me an employee discount for the troubles i was having! He was truly amazing. Definitely will be coming back to this location when i come back to La! Andrew was awesome! Comment: Book a luxury car, get non-luxury service. You will be charged for gas (appears default process) even if returning full. Youll deal with multiple people and lines to pick up, having to reproduce the same booking number over and over again. If you book ahead and price drops, they will not adjust. Changing pick up location adds even more fees even if price at alternative pick up location is much lower, and so on. All in all, petty, profit-maximizing machine that wont evolve with time.

Tonight I had the most amazing service and downright kindness shown to me by Isabel V at SIXT. Without boring you with the details of a family emergency combined with a board meeting, I was at my wits end and scattered beyond repair. After dropping off my car, Isabel tracked me down, calling me by name and returning several personal possessions I had left in the car. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by their amazing service.Our flight was delayed, but they still reserved the car we booked for us.The price was also very fair, keeping other competitors out of options.Andrew at the reception deserves a gold medal! He was not only professional but also incredibly fun and friendly. He checked us into our rental car quickly and efficiently.When we returned the car, employees greeted us warmly and even helped us with our heavy luggage. Talk about going the extra mile!This SIXT location puts their German branches to shame!The employees here are incredibly motivated and genuinely seem to enjoy their jobs.It creates such a welcoming and positive atmosphere. He was very professional. The whole environment & synergy was great. I will definitely rent from here again. Who knows, I might make a song about it. Upon returning the car, Quincy was very cool. Comment: I picked up a dirty rental car and made a complaint since I couldn’t determine if it was dirt or damage. Unfortunately, there were no other cars in that class available, so I accepted the unclean car. A guy came to clean it. I found damage and made a comment to him, but he said not to worry. The rental place doesn’t offer Wi-Fi, so I couldn’t look at the rental agreement. After a 10-mile drive, I received a notification of ‘low on oil,’ even though the car had just been serviced. The next day, we brought the car back to exchange it, but the damages i found the day earlier were claimed as new. This time, I took a video of the car. The agreement claimed no damage, but the car had several damaged spots. Erick made the Sixt experience good when handing the car back. Whenever we travel, we always book with Sixt, and this was my first ‘bad’ experience. However, as mentioned, the final car return with Erick made the experience good again.

Comment: This was the easiest rental car experience Ive ever had. The shuttle bus arrived after waiting about 10 minutes at the airport. I completed check in online which meant I didnt have to wait to collect the car (but the facility wasnt busy anyway). I had time to familiarise myself with the car before driving away and didnt feel any pressure.The return experience was also quick and efficient, and very friendly service was provided by Erick. There was no wait for the shuttle bus back to the airport. I was very impressed and will definitely use SixT again in the future.

Comment: I rented a car from this location to go to a doctors appointment after flying in. The shuttle was a little slow getting to pick me up and I was beginning to worry but finally it showed up and everything after went smooth. The location was very classy in the office and the lady who worked with me to sign documents and accept my 200 deposit was super friendly and knowledgeable. The car they put me in was super nice and made me want to buy the same exact car! Id highly recommend this place to anyone! My recommendation however would also be to rent from them directly instead of a third party and to purchase the insurance through them directly and not the third party you booked with!

Comment: First time renting from here, had to wait a while for the shuttle and the first 2 were small and too full so ended up waiting over 20min while the other rental car places seemed to have a lot of shuttles...however a large shuttle finally came and was able to pick the rest of us up from Terminal 6. The driver was very polite and took the time to introduce himself and say if we needed anything let him know, which was really refreshing.He also took the time to take all the luggage off the racks for us. The interior of the rental office was bright in their colors and everyone was dressed very neatly and very professional looking. I was impressed with the warehouse setting and all the very nice and very clean cars available. Checkout was efficient and my car was a very nice BMW SUV. Prices were very reasonable and cheaper than some of the other places for the same and possibly nicer car. Would definitely recommend renting from them and would do so again.

Comment: Avoid at all costs, they will scam you out of your money, we had a flight delay and they refused to accommodate it. So now they want to keep my money without providing the services paid for. They told us call back within an hour of the booking, but there was a storm and over an hour delay. And they said because of their policy they will not refund me. I will be contacting my bank to charge the money back since this constitutes as sales fraud since the services were not rendered.

Comment: I recently utilized the car rental service at Terminal B and had a mixed experience. The process began with a short walk to the shuttle, which was a bit inconvenient, but manageable. Once at the rental facility, the car collection was seamless, with a broad selection of vehicles available within my pre-paid categories. Opting for the Chevrolet Equinox, I was pleased to find it in excellent condition, practically brand new.However, my experience with Apple CarPlay was inconsistent, though it wasnt included in my rental package, so it wasnt a significant issue for me. Returning the vehicle was straightforward, thanks to Ericks efficient inspection.On the downside, the airport shuttle left much to be desired. Climbing three tall steps with luggage was cumbersome, and the limited space onboard made for a cramped journey. Overall, while the car rental process itself was smooth, improvements could be made to the shuttle service for a more comfortable experience.

I am renting very often with sixt, but this time I was very disappointed and I don’t know if I would rather rent with other companies when I travel to LA.I completed the online check in and still waited 45min for my car in line and then they made a mistake at the counter and offered me a free upgrade, but forgot about the fact that they have no upgrade car available. But a discount didn’t came to their mind. Overall experience very poor.

Then just choose the car and add a credit card, when you get there everything is ready for pickup, just take the key and go. Drop off is clean and easy, of course if there are no problems with the vehicle. The car was good with all the features of a premium car. The shuttle from/to the airport was also good!

Comment: READ 1 star reviews before booking, I wish I had!!!!We WERE really impressed when we took the shuttle, checked in, were offered a fee upgrade (we declined because of fuel economy)... We arrived very late at night with 2 crying kids. No one was around to Mark damage, we only saw a security guard and no one else around to help us. We made the fateful decision to hurry and take our crying kids to the hotel.... Where our car was parked for a week (theme parks, we used shuttles).We drove it back to rental location. We were asked about wheel damage they noticed that hadnt been previously marked. We told her it had been there and the attendant agreed it looked old because of coloration and shed mark that in her notes.A month later we got a bill for nearly $700 for a wheel replacement. We explained our interaction with the attendant and we were positive it was not from us. Normally we are very tedious about documenting damage on rental cars. Weve never had issues with any other companies and to our fault, it was late and kids were crying so we didnt go hunt down an employee to go over damage.My husband who works in the automotive industry was furious. The wheel was $165, he told them he would get them a replacement wheel but they said they *cant* do that.Be very cautious! This was the only time weve had an issue with damage (for a car that we literally didnt drive).This doubled the cost of our rental. I would NEVER rent with them again. No one to help us in the garage, attendant agreed damage appeared old.... Still owed nearly $700.I strive to be an honest person. Had we caused the damage, I would pay no problem. Im 1000% positive it was not from us.Dont make the same mistake we did, go with another company. 🤢 You cant take the word of their employees I will mark it was old damage.

Comment: My mom and I rented a Luxury Elite SUV from Sixt from a Friday night to a Tuesday night. This was a nightmare experience. I waited on a rather long line to pick up the car (not their fault at all, people rent cars at all times) and was helped by a super nice guy. He told me that they didn’t have my vehicle but that they had a Nissan Rogue that was similar in size. I accepted, he said they’d refund me the difference in price for the vehicles and I could return the vehicle with the tank empty for the inconvenience. FIRST lie. I got to the Rogue around midnight, I immediately noticed it smelled like smoke. I said to an employee “it smells like smoke, is there another?”, they said no but if it doesn’t bother you, just make sure the smell is documented and you will be fine. I said fine, I’m exhausted so I’ll deal with it. We load all of our luggage in, start driving, I see a light on the dash. We look it up in the manual, one of the tires is low on air. I immediately snap a picture, take it to a gas station and fill it with air. The tire pressure goes DOWN. I was like alright this is clearly the sensor so I reached out to Sixt customer service via email to document it all. We finish the rental, a few days later I get charged an additional $600+ for a SMOKING and REFUELING fee, my jaw dropped. I got on the phone immediately and thank GOD Sixt’s national customer service line handled it but this location went as far to attach pictures of “ash” in the vehicle. I swear on my life that I don’t smoke and my elderly mother doesn’t either. We have family that died of lung cancer so this was like such a low blow. Will never return and DO NOT recommend.

We greeted him saying “good morning” and asking a question. Replied very rudely to just go park the car in the back and turned around without saying anything else nor “good morning”. The customer service agent, Crystal, was extremely helpful in finding the car I reserved, as it was not ready for pick up when I arrived and no one could locate it at first. She and I walked the showroom/garage where the cars were and found a car like the one I reserved waiting behind at least 6 cars to be washed. Thats where Lasada comes in. She was a part of the fantastic trio who managed to get the cars moved out of the way so my car could be taken to the car wash and prepared for delivery to me. She kept me updated on the progress and put my mind at ease during my wait. The third agent in this super trio was China who also made sure my wait was pleasant and even prepaid the gas upon return, so I did not have to bring the car back with a full tank of gas. I must say, this dynamic trios sense of urgency, exceptional customer service and ability to get the job done was amazing and made the over an hour wait time, worth every minute.

Comment: Great rental car experience. Yes, had to wait 10-15 min for the shuttle from airport to Sixt. But, checked in quickly online earlier that morning and only had to wait in line for 3 minutes at the facility to get my keys. Smaller facility, so I found my car and exited quickly. I wanted to hop on here and give a review about a return shuttle, because the 800 number I called told me false information about its availability, and told me that I would need to get an Uber from the facility to LAX. My flight was at 6am, so I arrived at Sixt at 4:15am. It took about 3 minutes to return my car. There were two shuttles running and waiting to take passengers to LAX departures at that time. I paid $35 to reserve an Uber the night before, which I couldn’t cancel by then. So, if you’re wondering if the shuttle runs “outside of Sixt facility hours” (advertised as 6am-1am), it DOES. I wish there was a way to find this information out on their website, since there was no way I could call the LAX branch of Sixt directly to inquire. I’m not sure HOW early they begin, but at least by 4:30. My Uber brought me to LAX within 5 minutes, I meandered through general security within 15 minutes, and then had about an hour to hang out in the airport before being called to board.

I loved that everything was able to be handled online and I even lost my bag on their shuttle and they were very understanding and found my bag and allowed either pick up or shipping it to me. Comment: Deeply upset about my treatment here. I had purchased my rental in advance and was tired with two tired kids. I told tiffany that i was happy with the car size that I had booked. She acknowledged that and said would I like a BMW which I said was fine presuming it was in the same class size that I had booked and had told her that I was happy with. She then charged me an enormous upgrade fee while i was distracted with my two young children. I realised that she had overcharged me when i went to pick up the car and went back and explained to her that i had already paid for it in advanced after looking at my emails. She then apologized and amended the booking.However I then went to use my credit card elsewhere and it got rejected for being over the limit because SIXT hadnt refunded me the overcharge. I then spent a long time on the phone with customer service and they refereed me back to the branch and refused to refund me the overcharge until after the rental period had been finished. I feel that this is simple thievery and deception.

While returning the vehicle to LAX the employee immediately pointed out a scrap on the rim, my wife tried to ask a question and was immediately and rudely spoken down to by the employee. We stated that we were not involved in any accidents and the damage was not caused by us. He stated we should’ve noticed it during the pick up and an investigation will be opened. I also stated we noticed the vehicle has a cigarette smell, we started to notice well into our trip to which he replied we should’ve noticed that upon pick up as well. They do not do a pre check walk through like many of the more reputable companies do, as I read their reviews it seems many past customers have had the same experience and were sent to collections for an absorbent bill. Judging by the other reviews it seems this is a common practice for Sixt. Lesson learned the cheaper price often comes at a cost.

Comment: Sixt clearly keeps its rental car rates down with scam-like fees added to the rental after the return. There was an old scrape on the wheel that they accused me of creating and sent me a $680 bill for damage I did not cause. They said it was my responsibility to inspect the car, which is in the fine print of the agreement. Their counter agents never told me that I needed to inspect the car. Regardless, I never would have seen the damage even if I had inspected it due to the location. After several phone calls, they finally waived it as a courtesy. I appreciate the agent who resolved the problem, but I question their policies as a way to make additional money. If you rent from Sixt, inspect every inch of the car and use a mirror to look underneath!

Landed at LAX and took the shuttle over.Counter then informs me they are not able to rent me a car. Talked to manager and he didn’t know why as well. My only real complaint would be their infant car seat that we rented with our car, horrible quality, kind of dirty and none of the staff knew how to use it/install the seat. Went to ask for help and consistently kept getting passed on to someone else.We ended up googling the car seat to figure out ourselves but still, unable to properly tighten the seat to the car or around our infant (possibly broken?). They stopped running their shuttle and just ignored me. It was a late flight in too. SIXT lets you wait at the airport for long time, people accumulate and guess what, at the station all these accumulated people need to be served at once. So, long waiting twice! We arrived to collect the car feeling incredibly jet lagged and I had a migraine coming on. Thankfully the girl who served us last night was exemplary for how these exchanges should go. Quick, efficient, polite, good natured and we were in and out within 3 or 4 minutes or so. She deserves a raise. Comment: This is one of the best Sixt locations I have ever been to. The facility is huge with top notch vehicles (mostly BMWs).I Rented an intermediate vehicle and was given a 2023 BMW X3. Not sure if this was an upgrade.The checkin was seamless. A shuttle bus picked me up from my terminal, while in the bus I received an email asking me if I would like to checkin online for a faster pickup which I did.Filled out some information and followed the prompts, scanned my driver’s license and was asked to input my credit card information. Upon confirmation, a qr code was generated and asked me to go straight to the pickup area and avoid the long checkin lineups.Met a rep who scanned my qr code and handed me my key and a pass to exit the building.At the pickup area, the car was waiting in super clean condition.Make sure to take a video of the car to have a proof for any existing damages.I had to return the car a couple of days later at 4am so drove back to the return area, no one was at the location, parked the car and left the key inside and a shuttle bus was waiting for me outside.Overall my experience was amazing and will certainly use them again when in LA.

Comment: I will never use Sixt again.... We used them this summer with no problem....but this is a RENTER BEWARE company... you need to go over the car and take photos of EVERYTHING.. AND dont believe a word they say.... I was in Los Angeles and they overcharged by scamming.... I had a 30 day rental which they divided into two invoices... one for 28 days and one for 2 days.. I had ONE CAR which was returned ONE TIME.... I had agreed to the bring back empty and they refuel which is generally cheaper and the clerk said it would be around $5.50 a gallon which in LA is fine if you dont want to have to fill up right before bringing back... we do this with other rental companies in the past.... they charged me 3 times for fuel... on ONE CAR with ONE RETURN.. by dividing into two invoices.. one for 28 days and one for 2 days.... total overcharge was $114.00 per invoice (they charged $11.45 per gallon which is $6.00 per gallon more than the stations on BOTH invoices... for one car that was returned one time) AND they charged a separate fuel fee of $199.00. The car had an 18 gallon tank... so over $400.00 FOR A TANK OF GAS.... and since it only needed 10 gallons.. a large of $40.00 per gallon! I am challenging with my credit card and am sending a Consumer Report to the California Attorney General. about this two invoice scam.... seeing all the bad reviews .. a good Class Action Attorney might want to look at this two invoice scam.... DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.... THEY ARE AWFUL. ALSO... they charged MORE THAN the reservation amount.

Everything was really clear and fast regarding the formalities, very friendly staff. A bit disappointed that the cars windshield and front windows looked so smeared with something (it looked like someone had cleaned then with a dirty rag) that I had to clean them after driving out the parking lot since the lights from the ncoming traffic pretty much blinded the visibility. Also there was a 5inch glued paper strip from some sticker right in the middle of the drivers side of the windshield. Otherwise everything was great.

Comment: It is Christmas day, we are here to pick up a luxury car we booked 3 weeks ago, we stayed in line for an hour and now they say they don’t have the car. They are not open to give us another car that they have with a small price difference, and they just keep staring at their monitors and do nothing to help. They just trying to downgrade the car. Probably trying to rise the prices for better cars. Management and customer service at LAX branch is awful.

Comment: So straight forward and simple retal once you get to the office, probably the smoothest I have experienced, staff were all really friendly and welcoming, he also helped with getting the car that I wanted, return was just as straightforward and really didnt have to put in a great deal of effort here either, staff were everywhere and happily on hand to help and direct.One thing I would say is where to wait at the airport for the collection wasnt overly clear but once you see the bus arrive it was very clear! Comment: I had a pretty good experience w sixt rental near LAX.Didnt take sixt shuttle seems like some people had trouble finding the shuttle. I took hotel shuttle instead.The service was okay. First day there was an issue and the power went out. All systems down. They couldn’t find my reservation. Had to wait an hour for them to figure something out. Offered upgrade for the delay. They offered water to those waiting. Seemed apologetic. Second time renting was fine and no issues.They have a bathroom for customers and shuttle to airport I took that was fine.The cars were good. The repair quote they attached was $900 yet they could never explain why they were demanding $1200. They also lied to me about reimbursing me for the cost of a scheduled maintenance service, which I wasted time and money out of my holiday to do for them. Ridiculous company. I have a friend who had a similar experience with them.

Comment: The price beats their competitors by quit a bit for the same product. I rented here a few years ago and came across their surly staff so this time I made sure to check-in using their app. That made things much better and pick-up went very quickly. There is a lot of upsizing pressure in the app but I finally got my original preference of a regular sedan that had a free upgrade to an SUV. The vehicle did not have any issues and the shuttle from the airport was at the curb when I arrived (1:00 pm). I dropped off at 5 am and their was a 5 minute wait for the shuttle. All-in-all everything went well. (I took off one star since the only human interaction is to show my driver license at check-in. I dont know what I did to piss that guy off but he scowled and pouted for the entire transaction.)

Actually, since this branch was located inside of Renaissance hotel nearby LAX (thats around 2012 I believe), and a few months ago I also rented a vehicle at Sixt in Marbella, Spain.Its been awesome all the time.All Sixt staff at Bellanca branch are very kind, helpul and accommodating. Theyre always smiling to all customers and the vibe is very nice.All vehicles are clean, immaculate and very new, even my profile photo is from a former Sixt Mercedes I rented with them before.Starting the moment we took the shuttle at LAX to the day we returned the vehicle all experience has been great as usual.I wish I could give them more than 5 Stars, but for now youll get all five!

We called the number on the reservation, the number of the business page, both had machines answering with never ending loops and at one point it says, “this isn’t an existing phone number.” So you can’t even get ahold of anyone.I HAD TO PAY $50 FOR AN UBER TO THEIR LOCATION. And when I get there, there were three shuttles parked there with employees sitting in the driver’s seats on their phones. See picture. I was so angry.Second red flag, when I walked in more employees sitting on their phones. No wonder they don’t have a phone line or care about customer service.We also didn’t get the vehicle we wanted and were offered a “free upgrade” aka that vehicle wasn’t available.I took pictures of every angle of the vehicle since it had dents and scratches, in case they try to add some charges like in other reviews I’ve seen.BUT SAVE YOURSELF THE TIME, THE TROUBLE AND THE STRESS AND DONT BOOK WITH THEM.

Comment: Do not go here under any circumstances. This station is an absolute joke. Have booked a convertible of the so-called luxury class for a lot of money. When we picked up the car was in a catastrophic condition. We have never received such a tattered rental car. Everywhere disgusting stains and garbage throughout the car. This car has not been cleaned properly for weeks. I have already worked in car preparation myself. For such a job I would definitely have been fired without notice. Also, it was agreed that the car would be picked up with a full tank of gas and returned with a full tank of gas. But when we drove from the yard we noticed that the car was completely empty. When we complained about the cleanliness, there was neither an apology nor a proposed solution. Only the gasoline was refilled after an annoyed conversation. A written complaint has not yet been responded to. Never again Sixt USA! Next time Alamo again.Update: Even a week after I complained online to Sixt, I still have not received any response from the LAX branch. Dubious and unprofessional.

The car was clean and in good condition.Twenty-four hours manned garage if you need to return the car after office hours with a security guard and customer service officer present.Overall, it was an excellent experience 👏 compared to my Sixt European rental episode.

Comment: I’ve never had a better car renting experience. Sixt is the next step up in everything, from their vehicles to their service. I would highly recommend using their app as it provides updated information, service options, and contact info for your rental. Upon arrival to their facility after being picked up on their shuttle from LAX, I had my QR code for my rental scanned and I was escorted out of the line and was allowed to immediately pick up my car. There was no pushy sales person trying to upsell me anything. All they did was give me the keys and directed me to my car.There is no “or similar” option here like other car rental companies. I was able to choose my exact make and model (of course, of what they had available that day in your chosen category) and drove off in an exceptionally clean BMW 330i. Their choices of models extend far above too; I saw plenty of M5’s and top-of-the-line luxury SUV’s both in stock and being driven off. And best of all, I paid the same price for Sixt’s BMW as I would have for Hertz or Enterprise’s Toyota Camry. I think the choice is pretty obvious.The car was quick, clean, and in pristine condition. No evidence of wear on the steering wheel or seats from the hundreds of other renters. I didn’t have a single issue for my 5 day rental. And on return, I gave over the keys, they did a once-over the vehicle, and I was on my way in less than a minute. Sixt is the rental company to use.

Comment: Exceptional service from Christopher! Our X3 wasn’t ready so he helped us get into an X5. He was very friendly and gave some tips about the area and attractions we were going to. First time I have rented a car that didn’t feel transactional when picking up. Shuttle showed up quickly. Skipped auto check in but that would have saved a few minutes. The short line in the office was very fast. The team doesn’t sacrifice customer service for speed. We dropped off at 4:30 for an early flight. Check was very easy. They had someone there and a shuttle ready. 5 star experience all the way!!!

Comment: Updating as car was great. I did mention concern at counter and was surprised no effort to make it right. Will update from one star to three. And will see next time So far it blows …every other shuttle company has stopped at least 4 times each and enterprise like 8 times. Even Fox has made it second time and 30 mins. Wow, Fox 🦊 even said who are you waiting for? I said Sixt, they said you better stop them this is the last pickup.The traffic officer did say they normally run 3 or 4 shuttles. Night 1 of 4 nights/5 days. Let’s see how rest of trip goes.I think you owe me a free upgrade.

Comment: This was my brothers and I first time visiting LA and i have to say that it was an awesome experience renting at SixtFirst we got a free upgrade since we had asked for a RAV4 but due to availability they gave us a highlander.Also, if you rent through Expedia, they offer an insurance that is not worth it as it only covers Sixts car and nothing else therefore, we had to pay $38 more (per day) for insurance, full cover in everything, which in all honestly wasnt much.Car was in perfect conditions and seemed brand new, no problems or issues with it and when we delivered the car we were given the okay in less than 3 minutes.Awesome service, will definitely come back again

Comment: The shuttle ride to the rental car location was short. The driver Eric was extremely friendly and helped us with our bags while we were asked to sit and relax. When we arrived the agents were very helpful. “The Arturo” was polite, professional, and quite charming. Even the branch manager stopped at every desk to greet the customers and make sure everything was going smoothly. Arturo pulled up our reservation quickly and also gave us some great options to upgrade at a reasonable price. After our selection, he walked us to our rental car(check out the picture below to see what we got). The entire experience was magnificent and was a cut above the rest. The vehicle conditions and selection were better than the rest of the companies. We will definitely be renting from Sixt again!

Comment: Bad business rental ever!!!My husband and I rented the car last year around Christmas time and I got fire explore on the freeway with my 2 little babies. I called the company & tried to find some help but no luck. They also hang up on us. Few months later, they made us pay $1800 for their tire because they said we damaged their tires . That sounds very ridicious . After months, they sent us an email to pay for that, does it sound right?!NO, I dont think so. Shame to this company . Never care for their customers safety. Comment: If the flexibility and helpful customer support are important for you I wouldn’t recommend this company. You will have to deal with cancellation fee, changing fee, drop early fee..If your trip goes well as planned you would be fine and you might love the experience of the luxury cars they have.They are very proactive to get positive reviews and the counter agents are competing each other for a reward they might get. The person i met at the location was really friendly and sweet. I think that was the only part i liked.I learned you should not book through the third party nor buy insurance from third party.It might look like a better deal but you will end up pay more in reality when you pick up the car. Also no support when your plan change.

Comment: Hired a Chev Camaro from the LAX branch and drove one way to San Francisco and dropped the car there.Picking up the vehicle was easy and quick. I arrived an hour early but the staff member made sure I didn’t have to pay extra.No navigation in the car but it did have CarPlay which worked perfectly.The car was in immaculate condition and operated flawlessly.I drove midday Wednesday to midday Friday (3 days) up the Pacific Coast Highway but you only pay for two days hire. Good value for your money!

Comment: Best experience ever with car rental company in the US.First my reserve car( tacoma ) wasnt ready so they upgraded me to highr category (slivrado ) great truck.Second after driving it for like an hour (the truck was so Hugh for me) so I return and ask to change it with any sport car so they just give me a key for a convertible mustang GT 🙂, what a car .Third at the end I barely made it on time, so I didnt fuel the car so I asked can I refuel the car and come back they give me 30 min to do so .Staff so friendly and professional.I already made reservation for next month visiting LA .The only thing I didnt like is waiting for the shuttle bus its like 20 min .Thanks for the great experience that made my daysoff .

Comment: Very easy experience to book online. Shuttle picked us up at LAX and it took approximately 10 minutes from entering the building to getting the keys. We took photos and a video and used the x5 for 5 days and returned it with no issues. Card was charged correctly and no hidden fees. Shuttle took us back to the airport.
