Based on the great reviews, I stopped in to buy my usual cigarettes but also inquired about rolling my own cigarettes. The owner is extremely knowledgeable and kind. His variety of tobacco is unique and high end. The owner makes personal recommendations based on your taste and budget. After a small initial investment, I am already saving hundreds of dollars by rolling my own cigarettes and can have different types of tobacco whenever I want. I was finally done with paying $8 a pack for American Spirit and on the advice of a friend decided to look into the RYO method. After researching the different types of rollers and tobaccos available I went searching for the best tobacco store in my area and was so thankful to find Smokers Discount Outlet. The great reviews for this establishment helped in my decision to visit them this afternoon. Basil (as many have already noted) was exceptional in his expertise and he guided me through my purchases, even showing me how to use the roller I had bought. He gave me a sample of his house blend and it is delicious! Basil is a delight to work with and I highly recommend that you check his establishment out if you are looking for a quality experience. He told me that he had been in business for 20 years, and his experience and customer service shows. It was truly a delightful experience.

Owner and his wife are amazing! Always friendly! They also have nice sales or deals going on so its a much more affordable place then most. With COVID they have barriers set up on their counters to make your experience feel safe! Would highly recommend the shop!!!

Basil is a true master of his craft, rolled my own cigarettes off and on but it wasnt until I went to his shop I found something I really enjoy. Knowledgeable and friendly he worked with a company to create his own house blends of all natural tobacco with no chemicals in it. New customer for life
We just moved here Dearborn and finally I have meet a nice person. We decided to roll our own stogies and that was the day we meet basil. He runs this smoke shop and has been by far the most helpful person we have meet here in mi. We were complete strangers when we walked in and by the time we left I felt just as comfortable as I feel when Im at home. He gave us so much helpful information about rolling our own stogies brands and types and he even helped me get what I need with the little bit of money I had to start rolling. I have been a customer for 4 + years. Used to live 2 minutes from store and am now after 3 moves, about 30 minutes away. Will continue to shop there as he has the best selection at great prices. He also has a select inventory of bulk tobacco that cant be found anywhere.After reading the other review all I can say is for someone to be rushed out of there is NOT like the owner as he is VERY customer oriented and personable.Great prices, great selection. And great value. Enough said.

Went in here to browse around and look at some things. The lady at the counter wasnt too friendly and was not really willing to show me her products and wanted me out the door pretty quickly. I was interested in getting some juice for my vape pen that I havent used in a while and she wasnt interested in letting me smell the different flavors she had and said didnt want to show me especially if I wasnt going to buy anything. To me that is bad business and it was terrible service. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone. Sorry

I was so pleased to find that this store has EVERYTHING I was looking for, and then some! The owner is very friendly & knowledgeable, and answered all of my questions. An amazing experince! very nice owner and very helpful, i really loved the way he treats his customers with 101 old fashion tobacconist approach. you might not find what you are looking for but i am pretty sure Mr.Basil will figure out a replacement for you. i went in for pipe tobacco purchase and ended up with few other items! he without any doubt a geniune person and spot on action man with friendly atmosphere, he kept talking to me although many customers were dropping by and gave a non divided attention. they have a walk in humidor for cigars fans, a simple but good quality pipe tobacco and decent collection for roll your own lovers and best of all you can smoke in doors (now that is somthing i havent seen in many tobacco retailers). ill make sure to drop by whenever i am in the area.

I was always a skeptic about roll-your-own cigarettes until my wife told me to go here. He helped me to figure out what tobacco and what tubes were the combination for me and Ive never gone back to pre-rolled. Ive been coming here for a couple years now and Ive always had friendly service and great help!
I have come here multiple times and never had a problem, however today I bought a small glass bowl and on the way home my boyfriend and I noticed there was a crack in it. When we went back the owner called me a liar and refused to replace it. He said if I didn’t want a broken piece than I should have noticed before I left the store. I explained to him I come here a lot and I just want a replacement for the broken glass he sold me. He continued to yell at me and call both me and my boyfriend a liar. He would not replace the BROKEN glass he sold me in the first place. Do not come here they are disrespectful and will sell you faulty products. These people are scammers and extremely rude.
This is an excellent store. I roll my own cigarettes and they have the best selection of tubes ive ever seen in a store. They have tubes that ive only seen on a few internet stores, stuff like Wingate or Ramback. Having tried 10-15 different types of tobacco through mail order, their house blend tobacco is easily the best cigarette tobacco of all of them, producing cigarettes that taste better than an American Spirit.The owner, Basil, knows a lot about rolling your own cigarettes and smokes his own house blend tobacco. He has actually rolled a cigarette for me and let me try products he thought were interesting.I received excellent service at this establishment and was able to buy products beyond the quality of most internet retailers of the same products. If you smoke cigars or roll your own cigarettes it is by far the best place in the area to shop.

I highly recommend Smokers Discount Outlet to any and all connoisseurs of smoking tobacco or vaping. This store has the most variety of products that I have seen in the many states that I have explored smoke or vape shops. In addition, the owner clearly has a passion for the business. Not only does he carry a great variety of products, but he also knows about the products. If you want to try something new, for example as a RYO tobacco user he has great house blends of tobacco, but I needed a vaping system for airline traveling and the recommendation was exactly what worked for me!

2022-01-01This place was a surprising welcome. I was recommend by a family member from the area. I was beyond impressed with the selections, customer service and prices. They had everything I needed from vape pens to cones. You have to check them for yourself. My customer experience was provided by Basil. The owner of the store he was beyond knowledgeable with his 25 years experiences a Dearborn small business owner. This service was real and genuine and I truly felt welcomed. highly recommend you check this place out for yourself. You wont be disappointed. All CDC COVID protocols were followed. 2020-10-30Place has the top notch customer service and as good as the service is it matches the quality of products carried in the shop and the prices are more affordable compared to other shops in the area. Owner keeps a limited selection as far as cigars go but the cigars available for purchase in the shop are all top quality and very fairly priced. Also products for smoking marijuana are top quality bongs, pipes, and papers also priced very fair. Basil does an excellent job of listening and getting to know his customers and that’s how he makes decisions on what he keeps on the shelves for sale. He also has a lot of knowledge of the products he sells as well.

Very knowledgeable, the day I walked in for the first time I explained that I was wanting to start rolling my own cigarettes and I was recommended the house blend mentol and menthol tubes, since starting I spend less, I smoke less, and it’s a much cleaner tobacco. They spend time explaining all the product so you can make a very informed decision. I would absolutely recommend stopping by and giving their customer service a chance if you find yourself trying to transition to rolling your own or even a better quality option than the typical name brand cigarettes.

2020-03-13So I used to spend about $60 a week on cigarettes 🤯. Since going to Smokers discount outlet in Dearborn I now only spend $20 to $30 a month. The owner Took time to talk to me about rolling my own cigarettes....I was able to buy the Rolling machine, tubes, and house blend tobacco there. It was a great decision. I’m saving so much more money now, he has a variety of different blends too, and personally gets to know you and your preferences. If Basil doesn’t have it there he’ll order it for you. This is hands-down the best tobacco shop I have been to. Prices are amazing and cheap, great deals, and they have a huge selection, whatever you need they will have it there, They’ve been open for 25 years for a reason. The owners are absolutely amazing so friendly, accommodating, informative, fair, and they treat you like family. If you haven’t been to this tobacco shop yet you should definitely check it out!!

The hospitality and the welcomeness the owner showed me was outstanding, I felt like I was home.I was only curious to try any cigar the owner recommended for my first time but I didnt expect him to care to the level of scouting what my taste was and helping me to choose the right cigar for my first time.Macanudo cigar was the one. Amazing taste and bitterness level.Cigars compared to cigarettes are like steaks compared to chips for dinner the owners own words, which were a great advice to consider from now on.I recommend everyone who are into cigars to visit Smokers Discount Outlet and I am definitely gonna go back there soon.
