This place is absolutely embarrassing I have been kicked out and banned for just walking around with a fishing Pole and not even fishing and the people that kicked me out was some of the most rude teenagers I have ever met

I left a poor review on Dockwa due to their unprofessional way of handling reservation requests. A person named Chris called me the next business day to chastise me for the poor review. He even laughed at my concerns. I had left several phone messages and he told me the marina was not open until May 1 which was the excuse for not returning any of my calls. Funny thing was that he was “open” to discredit me on April19 at 8:45 am. He followed this insult with “this marina is just not for you”. FYI to Chris. We have stayed there before and had poor service getting a boat well when promised and had to “hang out” for several hours after check-in time as well. Since we needed a well for a few nights we thought we would give them another try. This experience will not be forgotten soon. The bitter taste of poor and unprofessional service lasts a long time.

What an amazing place to have a party!!! The staff went above & beyond our expectations. They were very competent and helpful, and just kept smiling. The food was fantastic. Many of our friends asked if the chocolate granola was sold locally - nope just hand made by the Sommerset chef. Amy was relentless in paying attention to every details, all night long. The way the walls open up allowed up to enjoy the evening breeze. The wedding ceremony on the upper patio was spectacular. The staff quickly removed the chairs so we could enjoy appetizers on that same patio. Then that patio became a rockin dance floor. Overall just fantastic!

The venue is beautiful. The food is to die for, fantastic chef. The event coordinator was so overwhelmed we hired a last minute wedding planner to keep things glued together. Also I found the practice of charging a 22% gratuity daunting, and reprehensible once it was made clear the company keeps it . The gratuity is not distributed to the staff on your event, it lines the greedy pockets of the marina ownership. Our event was indeed a beautiful wedding on the beach with a perfect reception, due in large part to our hiring an organizer.I ended up distributing cash tips “the night of” once the long faces on the waitstaff and bartenders was explained to me. Sadly, ownership confirmed that with impunity when I queried it several weeks later.Ownership has no conscience about keeping $4500 that should have been divided to about 30-40 people. That’s a guess but everyone involved should have gotten $100 +\/- including the set up and grounds crews. The 22% made sense on that level. Finding out they got nothing except for the cash I had with me that night made me feel cheap. You don’t put on a wedding at Sommerset Pointe Yacht Club because your cheap....Craig Warburton

So, we have a seasonal pass to this club. We pull up this weekend to put in our boat and their are 3 huge cigg boats blocking the launch. Thinking since we paid for the whole season we would be able to put in our boat but when we tried we were told the club does not trust us around these million dollars boats. So much for a season pass. VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THE SERVICE AFTER 10 YEARS OF COMING HERE.

Food is good but weve been twice and the service is excruciatingly slow. Staff told us the small kitchen size is the bottleneck. Hopefully theyll figure out how to fix that, as the views of the lake are great.
