Comment: Just had to walk down and speak an associate in the manager about my room not being cleaned the 7th day. They both made up excuses why it wasnt clean. Then turned around and told me they can give me clean sheets and all the stuff and I can clean the room myself after I payed for one whole week. So I asked the manager with his wife like to be treated like this. Put her in my shoes. He told me she wouldnt care african american manager. They do not give no good customer service here. Please do not come and rent a room from here. The only thing that they do know how to do whale is. Book your room in tow cars out the parking lot. This will be my last week.

Comment: This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The manager is very bad. I was walking down the hall and heard him yelling. He was inside his office with the door completely open. He was yelling loudly very bad things about customers. He found out that I heard and threatened to have me arrested for trespassing if I was ever near his office again. His office was next to the elevator and I had to go by it to get to my room! Completely unprofessional and awful.

Comment: Unfortunately, our stay at Sonesta Simply Suites Silicon Valley Santa Clara was a disappointing experience, culminating in a series of disturbing events that compromised our rest and overall well-being. The first night was marked by a police intervention due to a drunken guest who yelled and disturbed the entire floor for over two hours. This episode made it impossible to sleep that night. The room was dusty, with carpet stained with food remnants and eggshells. Requesting extra cleaning for the room was a hassle, as the staff claimed to clean only once a week, but we found the room already dirty, so they should not have hesitated. Instead, I was told by the receptionist that they would need to speak with the supervisor, a truly ridiculous response for this situation. The smell of mold and the lamp next to the bed covered in dust and hair made the experience even more disgusting. The request to replace towels were another letdown, as the staff stated they only changed them once a week, an unacceptable policy for hotel standards. The bathroom wasnt any better, with dirty walls and stained floors. Additionally, the restrictions on using the coffee maker were absurd, limiting us to impractical hours, from 5 in the morning until noon.Overall, our 5-day stay was devastating, marred by a highly unpleasant experience that negatively affected our rest and overall well-being. I strongly advise against this property for anyone seeking a comfortable and, above all, hygienic experience. Our choice was influenced by the urgent need to attend a conference, but I hope this review warns other travelers against facing such disappointment.

Comment: VERY TOXIC!!! They’re extremely rude and disrespectful to everyone that walks in. Especially those who aren’t in the best situation in life. You guys should be ashamed. If you hate your job just quit. DONT SUPPORT THESE VILE PEOPLE!The ugly white lady who calls her self a manager needs to stress eating and taking it out on customers.

Comment: Very average hotel. Best asset is its location across street from Santa Clara University. Rooms are small but clean. Staff is nice but minimal. Parking is free. The room is not equipped with extra blankets towels or pillows. The heating system is dated. And you need something you have to walk to the front desk yourself. They don’t bring it to your room. Not a place I would stay again unless it was for a short stay and location was important.

Comment: Would give them 0 stars if it was an option. Very poor service, the front desk girls are super mean to all the guests. You can ask them for any support and they would blatantly refuse and pass mean comments. I asked for one of the packages that were received and signed for by front desk. They made me come back from my room to front desk multiple times and then told me my package was not delivered, when it was showing delivered 3 days ago. Showed them delivery proof and then only they gave me my packet. Don’t stay at this place unless extremely important.I saw those girls overcharging some of the other guests.

Comment: I frequent hotels for work (about 1-2 weeks per month), but the Sonesta Simply Suites Silicon Valley Hotel is by far the worst I have experienced in the Santa Clara area. I booked my 6-night trip through Chase Travel Rewards for $724.44 which included $109.44 for hotel taxes/fees. I also brought my dog and paid a $75 pet fee. These fees were expected, but what was not expected was the $7.50 a night parking fee. In addition to the parking fee, I was also charged $8.78 for state and city taxes, even though I had already prepaid $109.44 in taxes/fees. When I asked for an itemized receipt upon check out, I was told that the printer was broken and that I would receive one via email around noon (an hour after checkout at 11AM).By the way, there is free street parking around the parking lot of the complex the hotel is located in. Additionally, there is a CalTrain parking lot next door to the hotel that is only $5.50 for 24 hours, so this parking fee charged by the hotel felt like a complete rip-off.The room itself was clean, but it had a musty smell to it upon arrival as you can see was mentioned in other reviews. While the room was showing its age & use, it had a little coffee maker, microwave, dishwasher, and a 2 burner electric stove. The room I was in was located on the side opposite the parking lot on the first floor. It was quite noisy. I could hear trains late into the night and people walking around upstairs. You will also commonly find people smoking on the bench directly in front of the hotel entrance that has a sign stating no smoking should occurs within 30 feet. Ha!Overall, I had a terrible experience at the Sonesta Simply Suites Silicon Valley Hotel. The hidden fees and lack of transparency made me feel like I was being taken advantage of. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and really wish I read the reviews before booking this hotel. It is really situations like this that had made the AirBNB business expand so fast. The entire purpose of me writing this review is that I see that the hotel reads all of the reviews. I hope they change their practices and work more on customer satisfaction instead of nickel & diming the customers (which has been mentioned in more than one review). I will addend this review with the response from the hotel regarding the double dipping of the taxes taking place. I am also more than happy to provide the receipts of my stay if it would help anyone prevent unexpected fees.UPDATE: I submitted a complaint to corporate Sonesta which got forwarded to the assistant general manager, Carlos Donald, of this location. He said I was at fault for the parking charge because it was listed on Pricelines website. (I didnt book through Priceline though. I booked through Chase travel. The information is not the same between the two sites.) Moreover, I asked why did I have to pay taxes twice. This is the verbatim response from Carlos, Pet fees are taxed in the city of Santa Clara. Some hotels have it already included with the rate. Some hotels do not. It is up to each individual hotel or their chain. On how they wish to proceed with that. So they the option to include the taxes within the pet fees you pay; but, they would rather nickel and dime the customer and make them pay extra fees on top of the extra fees they are already paying.

Comment: The building looks nice on the outside but inside it appears old. My room smelled musty when I first opened the door even though the AC had been on. The room didnt have much lighting so it appeared dark even with all the lights on. Theres a rail road close by and multiple trains are heard throughout the night. Ive stayed at many Sonestras before and most are modernized. This one is quite run down and they charge you $7 for parking/day.Pros: it has a little kitchenette that comes with silverware, a dish washer, 2 oven ranges, a full size fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Lots of office space. Its really close to Santa Clara University. Theres a B of A within walking distance.

We got some WASHABLE paint on a towel and they charged me $100 without informing me ANYTHING. I guess they didn’t feel like washing the towel. But $100 for a towel seriously? Comment: I will never stay at this hotel again. I went down here with a friend of mine to attend a dancing conference. We were only here for a couple of days, but this was one of the worst places Ive stayed at. First, the rooms were DIRTY! The sheets had stains on it, and the bed in the let out couch was filthy. The let out bed had a ton of food crumbs, stains, and wrappers left on it. Additionally, there was some huge stained sloth covering the bed (didnt even want to look at what it was hiding) that resembled a dirty diaper. Overall, the cleanliness of this place is really bad.To make things worst, after our stay, the manager tried to scam us out of our $200 deposit - trying to blame it on loose screws in the table and on the floor. Plus, he never sent us any information - no notification, no email, or anything. We had to continuously call them and ask why our deposit was being kept before we received any information. Such a scam.My recommendation: DO NOT STAY HERE!

Comment: DO NOT STAY AT SONESTA SUITES SANTA CLARA! They took my deposit claiming we broke a table. I received no email, no pictures, no proof whatsoever. When I spoke with the manager he claimed that the table was “ripped” from the wall and there were loose screws and even some on the floor. If you look at the photos of the suites you will notice that the tables are huge. It would have taken someone very strong to “rip” the table from the wall. And IF there were loose screws, that’s not even a broken table-that’s a 5 minute fix. Therefore, that charge was absolutely bogus. Bottom line: we did not break the table so they stole my money. This is a scam. DO NOT STAY HERE. And always take pictures of the entire room of any hotel you stay in.

Comment: Staff could be more attentive and pleasant. Charging for parking and threatening to tow your car is ridiculous. $250 deposit is outrageous. Laundry being $6 is crazy. Parking and laundry used to be free and deposits were never that much. This is no where near a 5 star hotel and even then most don’t charge that. Being an elite member with sonesta, this is by far the worst one I’ve encountered. Not even sure why they have their name attached to this property. You get what you pay for, but there are far better sonesta’s or places to stay in general. Save your money.

Called a few days later and the manager said it was too late to credit. This is when I have a reservation on the books for the next month! No way I’m keeping that reservation if they’re going to charge a cancellation fee for an honest reservation mistake. Bad customer service.

Comment: Dated decor and interior - mishmash of 70s to present furniture. Fob keys hardly work esp. on outside doors. The PA in the room went off with a screeching sound for 15 mins -- when maintenance came they just shrugged it off - it went out by itself again. Walls are paper thin, esp. walking noise from floor above. Front desk absolutely unresponsive to complains. This is a low-tier Sonesta -- dont expect the same as some of their other places in Bay Area. Sorry I tried to save $20!

The lobby looks like a check cashing place in a bad naughborhood. At check in, I stood at the front glass for about 15 minutes before anyone came to check me in. The halls and lobby smell bad with fragrance cover ups. Staff was friendly enough, there is a Starbucks in the same plaza, probably biggest perk. Comment: Stayed at Candlewood Suites as a frontline worker during COVID19 pandemic. It is very nice of them to offer a discounted stay for those who fight the pandemic in the front lines. Very clean rooms, good location - close to the university, cafees, shops, and major freeways. Compared to other IHG properties; however, this one did not have some of the convenient features other offer - no free breakfast, no couch in the studio suite. There was only one central entrance for the guests who have a room key. While some other hotels in the area started offering one person at a time fitness center appointment, this one is still behind and keeps their fitness room closed. No appointment was needed for laundry. It is not sanitized by the staff between different users.

Comment: Be aware this hotel is right next to the Caltrain station. This may be convenient for some (as well as its proximity to Santa Clara University), but rest assured (or *dont rest, assured) that you will hear and see trains going by. Many rooms windows face the train tracks. Albeit, most trains are travelling quite slowly as they pull into the station, and thus are less noisy; however, bullet trains that skip the Santa Clara stop will go by much faster. If youre unfamiliar with Caltrain, it at least doesnt run in the middle of the night (though starts rather early ~4-5am and the last train leaves ~midnight), so there is at least a break from train traffic for those who sleep normal hours.Rooms are decently nice and everything looks pretty clean -- although the cleanliness might be related to the COVID-19 pandemic (current as writing this review). At this time, you must wear a face mask and be buzzed in by the front desk. Vending machines are also temporarily unavailable due to the pandemic, which is a bit inconvenient, as all the stores nearby, including Starbucks, close pretty early. One random complaint: not enough trash cans. It seems like common sense to me that you should at least have a small trash can in the bathroom. There was none in the bathroom or the bedroom; only one under the table connecting to the kitchen area. And, finally, a random observation: I noticed they seem to have an odd system using yellow post-it notes stuck up on the walls near the ceiling outside some rooms in the hallway. I am not sure what the sticky notes are supposed to signify... Occupied rooms? Responder rooms? Rooms that need extensive cleaning due to COVID-19?? I really have no idea, but I left wondering. Theres clearly some esoteric system in place here meant to be decoded only by hotel staff.

Comment: Check in was at 3 and our room was not ready until about 4:30. Literally waited in the lobby for over an hour. My bank card was charged 3 times . The front desk seemed like they were trying to do the best that they could but not the best experience for my wife and I.

Comment: I stayed one night @ Candlewood suites in Santa Clara Ca. My room was quoted @ $118. After looking over my CC statement I realized I was charged a $300 deposit for supposedly smoking in the room which is 100% false. I understand companies have lost money due to this Covid -19:virus but its unconscionable to think they can make up Lies to recover some loses.

Comment: This is not a bad place if you are in and out, no lobby to speak of, no eatery or bar area, very confusing hall ways, slow elevator, front desk is a bit slow staff was still cleaning my room after check in, went to the room and the cleaning staff was still inside finishing up.There seemed to be a problem with 2 other people checking in.But.....The room I got was very nice, the room was tiny I mean just enough room for the bed and small tv but the kitchen and living room area is resort like!Large fridge with sink small coffee maker and not a Keurig yay! Great table to work with nice chair for comfort. Can you believe there is a recliner in here!Very modern inside but the TVs are also tiny in today’s time. Bathroom is nice and clean pretty modern. Not in a great place to eat or have drinks after work but kitchen and living area make up for a lot!

Comment: This hotel is very clean (about the only good thing), and although the rooms are updated, they are tired with lots of little things broken (desk chair, soap dispenser, etc.). There is no common area or lounge, with the whole place having a very institutional feel. The worst part, however, about this hotel is the location! I specifically asked at the front desk when checking in that all I needed was a quiet room - little did I know, my third floor room faced North with my window about 100ft from the Cal train station! This train come by about every 15 minutes, interspersed with the occasional freight train. Both apparently like to blow their horn as soon as they pass the hotel. The rumbling and the horns kept me awake well past midnight, until I employed the strategy of turning on all of the noisy exhaust fans to act as white noise generators... If you must stay here, get a room with an even number that does not face the train tracks! Better yet, find another hotel - way overpriced for what it is.

Comment: This hotel was a mix of good and bad, overall I don’t think I’ll be coming back. The front desk staff were nice, the towels are great, the location is pretty convenient, and the WiFi wasn’t terrible but that is the end of the positives from my stay. Now for the bad:1. This place is in serious need of a thorough cleaning and maintenance. The first room I was given had a tub faucet that wouldn’t shut off and actually had a pencil sized stream going when I checked in and they didn’t have maintenance there to fix it so I needed to change rooms. Mistakes happen, that’s understandable, but it ended up being part of a larger trend. The light fixtures in both rooms this time as well as the room I stayed in previously were rusted and it just doesn’t seem like this place is getting enough maintenance on the rooms. As far as cleanliness, the first room wasn’t bad, but the second room was terrible. Dirt on the floor what I will have to assume was nasal ejecta on the bathroom walls, mold or mildew beside the tub, dirty glasses upon checking, the end tables were filthy, and the cleaning staff didn’t even touch the bed one of the days.2. They only provided two of each kind of silverware and dish but didn’t wash them either. I’ve stayed at many places with kitchen suites and I’ve never seen someplace so stingy with the cutlery.3. Price wise, this place is in the middle of the range for the South Bay, but I’ve been in motel 6’s that we’re better maintained and cost a third as much.4. About half of the furniture and amenities were very dated or worn past repair. I didn’t end up getting a picture of it, but the chair in both rooms had the corners and seams worn completely through, one room had a vcr, and the phones look like they’re from about 2000.Needless to say, the next time I’m in the bay for work I’ll be staying somewhere else.

Comment: Wow! Considering I paid almost $400 for this place, Im shocked at how bad it was. There was barely any hot water and the water pressure was miserable. Ive had better water pressure on camping trips. The shower was not even closed and so the bathroom floor was completely wet by the end of the shower. Wouldnt recommend.

Comment: I stayed here for almost a full year for work. Its not a 5 star but I had very few complaints and the staff went above and beyond what I was expecting when I asked them to correctany issues. I appreciated that the staff and more than a few guests got to call each other by name. There are grills outside on the patio in which I met some excellent people and had some great times! The beds are so comfy! Its a great place whether youre going to stay a few nights or several months.FYI: its steps away from the train station and a shuttle that goes to the airport every 10 minutes. The university is across the street. When I go back I will hopefully meet some of the same staff that I met in 2017/18.

Comment: Rooms are nice but a little tight for a suite with kitchenette. Feels like youre coming next to your bed. Staff is friendly, but housekeeping was really lacking during a three week stay. Main problem is room and hallway had a musty smell that I couldnt get rid of even with windows open all the time.On the plus side, the bed is very comfortable, and the location hard to beat.

Comment: First week here for a work trip and I have been very underwhelmed. Staff are friendly but miscommunicated about housekeeping, staff did not follow up with me when I called down to front office about it and they said they would look into it, the hallway smells, and I had a laundry issue (the detergent gel they sold stuck to my clothes after the first wash, so I’m currently washing again hoping it will rinse off this time. I will revise my rating if return trips are more pleasant. Redeeming quality is the beds are comfortable and they offer a complementary DVD collection at the front desk.

Comment: Your room will be clean and comfortable. If you’re on the train side of the hotel, you’ll appreciate the exhaust fan that drowns out the train noise. The hallways smell as all Candlewood hotels do, like people live there short term, some choosing to throw their diaper garbage into the cans in the stairwells. There aren’t many amenities near the hotel, so groceries are a must. My final note would be to say it was quite bizarre when I was checking out early and the front desk gal and her manager refused to give me an itemized paper receipt for my expenses. I literately had to argue for a couple of minutes to get my bill.

Comment: Just OK as an option, often overpriced. However, if you get a good deal on this place its not half bad. The beds are comfortable, the rooms come up a kitchenette, there is a gym on campus, good parking options. Cons: They dont serve breakfast and some of my colleagues have had insect bites from staying here. If you like clean and shiny rooms, this may not be for you. While the sheets and stuff was Ok and clean, the room itself always seem to have this old carpet old sofa dust hint going on.

Comment: I had a training to go to early in the morning in Santa Clara so my job put me in a hotel room for the night. Check-in was easy. The room and bathroom was very clean. There is a train station right outside on the other side of the hotel but it wasnt too much of a bother. I was on the top floor and it got really hot so the AC was blowing basically all night. They had the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in this locked container instead of the mini bottles you get at other hotels. This was reminiscent of hotels Ive stayed at in Europe. The scents were nice and the quality of the product felt good. I didnt have breakfast there (if they even serve breakfast). Kudos to the fast free WiFi and free parking as well.

Comment: This hotel definitely exceed my expectations! I spent 5 nights here at the end of a much longer work trip, and I was very pleased with my stay! The rooms were clean and modern, and seemed geared toward business travelers - theres a large desk area to spread out and work, plus a cork board. Theres a full kitchen (sans oven) with plates/utensils, which was a nice treat after a few weeks on the road. I also really appreciated the large closet and the shelf space in the bathroom! The laundry facilities were clean and well-kept, and even better, they were free - no digging for quarters! The wifi was reliable, and even the hairdryer was a nice surprise - full-size and powerful. I was a little concerned that the location (near Santa Clara U and a train stop) might make the area too congested, but it was never a problem; with a Starbucks across the parking lot and a Safeway nearby, it turned out to be a convenient location. My only real quibble was the small garbage cans and lack of a recycling bin, but overall, I was quite pleased - I will definitely stay here again!

Comment: DON’T USE THE HEAT!!!!!This place was ok. A couple things -- I had a room on the first floor and although the rooms have been remodeled, I had a mix of the old and the new. SMH- new flooring in the kitchen, old fridge and dishwasher.- new desk, old chairs, and they mismatched.- new looking bed, old looking side chair- new bathroom, no hand soap or face soap- new bathroom, old toilet- new bathroom, old door and handlesI was a little confused by the mix of old and new decor but overall the bed was great! They have plenty of outlets all around the room. For the kitchenette, they gave you lots of great accessories to cook with.It was cold and I turned on the heat and a smell came from the heater and the first alarm went off. Again, DONT TURN ON THE HEAT!Thin floors and walls. The person above me, you could hear everything, footsteps, bathroom door close. All in all this won’t be on my list for future returns. Comment: Not for the fragrance-intolerant.This was for a business trip and not my usual choice for hotels. Overall, I did not enjoy my four night stay. The location did have a Starbucks and a local bagel shop withing walking distance. And a few local places with a short drive or longer walk. The staff was friendly, but didnt have many local restaurant recommendations when asked. Many things were of note:- the first few days, the halls were humid and hot even a rather 70 degree day.- the first floor near the elevator was heavy with cleaning products and laundry detergent. So thick of a fragrance, it was sufficating- the hall on the second floor where my room was also heavy perfumed- the smelling my room was worse. It had that smell of cleaning products layered over smoke.- I found hair on the wall and sink on arrival. And the wash cloth on the towel rack had a yellow stain on it of unknown origins.- one of the pillows I payed on had a weird earth smell. Like sawdust mixed with mothballs- was disappointed that the only complimentary products in the room was two bars of soap and a combination shampoo/condition. Hand cream was available for purchase for 1.25 in the sales area. As was a razor.- on the day, I asked for housekeeping, the bed was made and new towels were added, but I could tell the tub had not been wiped down as a few strands of my hair were still in the tub.- on my final night, the air conditioner woke me up as it kept cycling on and off repeatedlyOverall, it didnt have a clean feel about it.

Comment: Of all of the places Ive stayed in the Bay Area, this place has the most consistent pricing. The rates at most the chain hotlels go up and down like yo-yos. Ive seen rates at a nearby Holiday Inn Express, range between $115/night to over $300/night, which is ridiculous. While not cheap, I can count on staying at Candlewood Suites for about $220/night., regardless of what the other chains are charging. For the price you get a large comfortable kitchen suite. The location is convenient to both Sunnyvale and Mountain View as well as San Jose.

Comment: Great price for the location and value! Love that I could cook a meal instead of eating out for the 9 days I stayed while I move out of state. Great restaurants within walking distance. Some people complained of hearing the cal/train in reviews, i never heard it but enjoyed being able to WALK to the Cal. Rooms are updated the beds + pillows were very (and I mean very) comfortable.Manager is super helpful and tries to get to know her guests (class act). Thats what I call great customer service!

Comment: Quite expensive place. They booked me on a high priced plan and did not inform me of the rates when discounted rates were available. When asked about it, the receptionist just had to say that it was my responsibility to ask for lesser dates and they can provide options only if I ask. Not honest at all.Rooms look good but the pathway to rooms are quite stinky. Definitely thumbs down for that.Enquire, ask and re-ask the person at reception for discounted options. But yes, theres no guarantee that the option youve booked is the cheapest one because it all depends on the benevolence of the staff 😉

Comment: Checked in at 10 or so. Took a while before a person even came to the desk to check me in. They have a food/drink room with decent variety. They have movies and board games and even blenders available to borrow. The room seemed to be very clean. A placard noted my mattress was new in late summer of 2016. Overall I had a good visit but its definitely not one of the nicer places Ive been. Theres also no breakfast option. And the front desk lobby isnt obvious - its in the corner of the building that faces the road, El Camino Real.

Comment: I stayed here ten days due to work being done on my apartment. The hotel had all I wanted - a comfortable and clean room, kitchen, exercise equipment, free laundry, and helpful staff. The trains were somewhat bothersome the first night, but I was able to tune them out after that. In some sense, it was a vacation!

Comment: This is my favorite place to stay with my company having corporate tieup. Upon my every visit, I use to stay at this place and I always felt the comfort of second home. The maintenance of the rooms and the courteous staff are a big plus. the parking slot and the garden around gives a pleasant stay. Not sure about others but the train track behind the hotel is a ring the bell experience. I personally like the trains passing by and watching them sitting at the suite. The recliner sofa at every room is an added plus. And the compact kitchen makes it all to be a perfect studio room.

Comment: Lived here for about 6 weeks back in 2012. Excellent amenities. Free DVD rentals of recent releases, free laundry, kitchenette. Walking distance to Safeway for groceries. Adjacent to the bus stop, Caltrain station, a Starbucks, Bank of America. I debated staying long term basically.

Comment: Just spent 2 weeks there - I would certainly use it again. Nice large room with a kitchen area (stove, microwave, toaster, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, worktop space, cutlery and crockery for two people). Room also has TV, iron+board, hair-drier. Room was clean - its cleaned/serviced weekly if staying longer than a week, although if you run out of anything in between, you can get replacements at reception. Enough light to work in the room if you need to. Other areas of the hotel look fresh and clean too. Free laundry, mini-gym, and wifi (which unlike many other free wifi offerings, actually worked very well). Theres a small cupboard shop at reception where you can buy milk, cereals, quick meals, fruit, washing detergent, etc. without having to go out. Staff all very pleasant. Toilet flush handle broke - it was replaced instantly. No restaurant - eat out or buy food to make up in your kitchen or bring back a carry-out.

Comment: You dont need to set your alarm as you will wake up to (what you will believe) is a train in the hallway at 5:50AM every morning. Trains come by every 20 minutes until after mid-night! A great place if you dont intend on sleeping more than 5 hours a night.

Comment: Just spent two nights there, and the room was remarkably spacious with a nice little kitchen. Living room area with DVD & Flat screen TV, Couch, and L-Z-Boy recliner. Nice very large desk area for working with plenty of outlets, and plenty of extra chairs.Separate bedroom with door, has its own flat screen TV as well.Is it the Four Seasons? No, but for the price and the service I experienced it was ideal for a base of operations of work while in Silicon Valley area.Oh, and theres a STARBUCKS about 200 feet from the entrance.I will stay there again.

Comment: Ive spent the last six months living in this extended stay, whilst on an internship in Santa Clara, and the other reviews on this page dont match my experience at all!The room was clean when I arrived (housekeeping call once a week) and the staff were friendly and helpful at all times of the day. I requested a room overlooking the carpark, and didnt find the trains to be a problem. The hotel is right next to both the Santa Clara CalTrain station and Santa Clara Transit Center, making it very convenient for people who dont drive. Additionally, there is a free bus service from the CalTrain station to SJC airport every 20 minutes or so.

Comment: There is a 50% chance that youll get a train track side window, which is about 75 feet away from the room windows. If thats OK with you then the poor TV reception, intermittent wired internet service, and the lack of hot water in the morning may make you change your mind.
