Zero is whats deserved. Loyalty, Ford employee, trust in service, these are terms that mean nothing to Spirit Ford. My Father recently took his 2012 Fusion in for an oil change and he needed a new battery. He wanted to do everything at the dealership to maintain Loyalty and because he said he trusted them well $256.75 later my 70 year old veteran Father was taken advantage of. They only would offer a battery with 100 month warranty on it, who needs that! His receipt shows he was charged for parts, and other parts and shop supplies. Really? You would think with the battery costing $136 plus $18 for a kit to put it in with, that some sort of supplies would be included. When I went to speak with the man that charged this astronomical amount he disregarded me, said my dad agreed to everything and thats what the prices were. Im sick to my stomach on how this situation happened, and then how it was handled. I called Monroe dealership and she told me my father was charged for an expensive battery that he really didnt need and that at her dealership, employees get 10% off parts. Bob Yaros at Spirit Ford told me no employees get anything, nothing in the 35 years hes been there! I will never use Spirit Ford and I will never recommend them to anyone.
Nothing against the people that work there but our entire experience with the lemon they sold us has been a nightmare. 36000 miles and weve had 5 different loaners already. Trans pump assemblies, cameras, engine replaced, battery replaced twice (they charged me for the second one), engine light always coming on, shifting issues, not starting, I think theyve had the car more than I have. So now its there again.... and they imply that they are done working on it moving forward despite my premium extended warranty.
The staff is very helpful and courteous. I had another lease through this dealer and decided to go back to lease a different vehicle after the first expired. I dealt with Tony Krebs on my first lease and this one also. He is very thorough explaining and making sure our needs were satisfied. The service personnel are always friendly and do the work that needs to be done in a timely and efficient manner.
Staff there is great. They take care of you as quickly as possible and always find time to shoot the breeze for a minute when you stop in. Brought vehicle in for a squeak in passenger rear tire. Got hit with an $1,800 bill for maintenance items that I was not told about prior to this visit. Spirit does all my service so there is no excuse. One item was 12,000 miles past its normal schedule. Just glad I could afford to do the work but would have preferred it to be stretched out. Still will have service done there due to their thorough work.
The sales team and sales manager were fantastic. My review is specifically with the service team and porters. I purchase TWO vehicles at the same time, and the vehicles were supposed to be prepped and delivery was scheduled for Monday morning. A few things that needed attention:- The Ford Sync systems on both vehicles were not checked and updated (old version of software).- One vehicle was still in Transport Mode- Both vehicles had the tires overinflated by over 10 PSI - both vehicles were at 45 PSI or higher and should have been around 32-33 PSI.Luckily Im tech savy and was able to take care of the radio updates and easily deflated the tires to the correct PSI. But these little things could have and should have been addressed prior to the vehicle delivery.
My 1st steps into any dealership, which can be very scary, were met by the most helpful & thoughtful sales representative. Nicole made us feel so comfortable & had so much patience with us. We actually ended up making our final purchase else where purely out of financial differences, but our time at spirit ford with Nicole was so awesome that I still wanted to write a review & HIGHLY recommend her if you are looking around.
I have purchased two used vehicles from Spirit Ford and both times the experience went very smoothly. We worked with a different salesperson each time but each were great to deal with. Very professional, no high pressure sales tactics, and up front and honest on all details. Each time I traded in a vehicle and received a fair value. That is always a plus. The pricing on the used vehicles i purchased was very good and Carfax reports are always provided.I definitely recommend them based on my experiences with them.
Been going here for years, have bought several new and one used vehicle. Happened to work with Nathan in Parts/Service this time when Flex went in for servce. This guy is personable, efficient, and he provided follow-up while my car was there for a couple days. Walked me through expectations, so no big surprises. Never fun taking a car in and running up a bill, but he was great to work with. I sure appreciated that!👍🏼
So close to a deal on a used car for my son, but unfortunately they wouldnt drop the price by $734 (9.2%). To be fair and transparent, they were willing to drop $500 (6.3%). I think they should consider things like the fact that I live in town, talk to a lot of people, and like to write reviews on my local businesses. Jordan was good to work with, though.
I am very happy with my experience at Spirit Ford! Kyle was a great, no pressure salesman. He worked with me to help me find what would best meet my needs. He was very patient in explaining how the financing would work and made sure that I got the vehicle in the color that I wanted. Thank you!
Got excellent work done a couple weeks ago here and forgot to praise the shop. The transmission guys fixed a broken seal on my vehicle and now it runs great. One of the guys called me as soon as they opened as I left my vehicle there the night before. He kept me updated on the issue and what work they were gonna do as well as what the cost would be. He was happy to use and apply insurance I had to keep my cost down to a simple 100 dollar deductible for the entire work and they finished in 1 day. I was able to pick my car back up that same night. Go to this place if youre looking for Ford guys dont go to the deceptive shop in Monroe.
Brock Evans was my sales person at Spirit Ford and I couldnt had a better person to help me. I told him what I wanted and he picked out a great vehicle for me and my family not trying to force me in something that doesnt fit me like I experienced with other dealerships. He tried giving me the best deal and great advice when he didnt have to. I would refer anyone here that is looking for a vehicle without all the hassle and he makes the process of getting a new and used car a great experience. Thank You Spirit Ford!
I want to say I had a great experience @ Spirit Ford, Brock the gentlemen whom I dealt with were awesome and very helpful, took as much time as was needed to answer questions and made sure I understood everything. Very helpful. I should say anyone the I had any contact with was polite and courteous. IT was a very pleasant experience. Thank you guys.
I bought a explorer from them 2 months ago. It has been the worst dealership I have ever had to deal with. They sold me a car with bald tires and then we went on a trip and got stranded with another tire that had 3 plugs in it. Had my hole family in the car when this happened. Took the car back to get looked at and they never even drove the car to see what was wrong with it. I have never bought a car for almost $ 24,000 and have to put almost $1000 dollars on tires 1 week later. This dealership is an absolute joke.
Had a fantastic experience with Gary. Very prefessional & friendly. He made sure we got exactly what we was looking for in a car. We drove out in two brand new vehicles, extremely happy and would highly recommend Gary, the entire staff was wonderful. Spirit Ford gave us a relaxing and happy experience.
Everyone at Spirit is an angel , all very friendly and helpful . The knowledge it takes to all the gizmos and gadgets is mind boggling, but they walked me through everything . I played around on and of for about a week and by joe I believe I got it . Any questions were immediately answered. I’ve dealt with a lot of sales people in my 64 plus years and mine was the best ! Shop Spirit Ford , you’ll be glade you did !!!
I was finding the whole process of finding a new car initially very overwhelming and scary until I came here. Tony was professional and able to help me decide which features would fit my needs without pushing me to get features I dont really need. Was able to go through the whole process over the phone/by text besides the test drive and signing for the car which was great since I have 2 young kids. Made the car buying process easy and low pressure and took no time at all.
I bought a 2018 fusion from Jason and Brock, let me just say they were hands down the best people I have came across in the car business! They are so honest which is so hard to find! They really go way out of there way to get you in the car you want! Words can’t ever express how grateful I am for them two! I was in a bad situation when I went to them! Thank you guys so much! I will be seeing you again for my next car!!
Our recent Ford purchase was really a pleasure. Seriously! We really dont like haggling and Kyle Wallath guided us through a painless purchase, with clear explanations, answers to our questions, and no pressure. Were also really pleased with our new Bronco Sport (Bandlands Edition). We highly recommend Spirit Ford in Dundee (MI).
I have followed Bill Colovos & Cheryl Anderson from a few other dealerships to their final home at Spirit Ford. They are like family now & they provide the best service imaginable! As far as Spirit Ford I think its the best dealership they have worked at. Today I took my 2018 Explorer in for its 1st oil change. The owner of the dealership happened to be there today & he took time to introduce himself & shake my hand. Very personable and very kind. This dealership definitely has the customer in mind.
Spirit Ford saved my family vacation and a lot of stress with car troubles! My family and I were on the way to northern Michigan from Ohio when about 45 minutes in we got a low tire pressure warning on our Ford Expedition. We stopped and filled the tires to continue on our journey when about 20 miles down the road the warning came on again but we couldnt feel anything like a blowout. We kept driving until we could get off an exit. The first exit we came to was in Dundee. Not knowing where to go we saw the Ford dealership right when we got off the exit so we decided to stop there. We were super concerned because it was about 5:40 on a holiday weekend and they closed at 6 but we thought we would give it a try anyway. When we pulled up Tom from the service center was there to great us. He immediately offered to help with no hesitation even though we were approaching him at the end of shift. He asked us to get out of the car and wait in the nice waiting room so they could take a better look. They pulled our car into the service center and lifted it up to check tire pressure and run some diagnostic tests. They test drove our car around to make sure that everything was fine and they let us know that one of our sensors were out. We decided to go ahead and get back on the road to try to get to our final destination as soon as possible. We asked Tom how we could repay him and he told us not to worry about it.This is what true customer service looks like. They were friendly, kind, understanding, extremely helpful, and efficient to get us back on the road as soon as possible. Thank you Tom and team for your help to let my family spend some quality time together!
I recently purchased a Ford F-150 from Spirit Ford. Through no fault of Spirit, the vehicle had some serious issues that need to be resolved. Ford customer service was less than helpful or accommodating.Spirit came to the rescue. My sales rep Tony, the sales manager Bill, and the service manager Ed all worked to do what was right for the customer. It would have been easy for them to simply abide by Fords decision. It was not easy or cheap to do the right thing for the customer, but they did. They sell lots of vehicles and see lots of customer every day, but they went more than the extra mile for me. Ford makes a great vehicle and having a dealer I can trust to treat me as a valued customer has my business....and gratitude.Just went in for my first oil change (01/19/16). What a great dealer. Tony, Bill, and Ed all took the time to say hello and sincerely asked how I liked my F-150. These days when the folks at a dealership take that kind of interest in their customer, they have me as a customer forever.
Went to six dealerships. This was the best service i ever had. Made everything easy for me. Gave me a great deal.they went way out of the way for me and made it easy for me with my schedule. BILL and GARY and CLIFF the owner were great. I watched how they treated other people and talked with other customers who were very happy with how they were treated as well. THANK YOU SPIRIT FORD. your A +
My sister and were driving from southwest Ohio to mid-Michigan last Friday. About 2 miles south of Dundee, I got a warning light for low tire pressure. Between that light and the Dundee exit, I lost 8 pounds of pressure. Off the exit, I pulled into a gas station to the air pump and added air to the tire. As I was looking online for options, the tire was still noticeably loosing air. We noticed the Ford dealer across the street and I decided to go there. When I explained my situation, I was instructed to pull my car into the service bay immediately. They looked at my car right away and told my sister and me where the waiting room was and where we could get a cold drink. They patched my tire within a half hour and when I asked what I owed, I was told nothing and to have a safe trip. Thank you so much for your awesome customer service!
Terrible, terrible, terrible customer service. They are some of the most unprofessional people i have ever seen. Not only did they mess up all the paperwork for my lease vehicle purchase, but they also lost my contract causing my first bill/payment to Ford Credit to be late. Then they tried to blame it on Ford Credit. The guys exact words were well excuse me, im sorry Ford Credit lost your contract and you want to blame Spirit Ford. Its not my fault. Even though my payment was late because Ford Credit said that Spirit never turned in my contract to them. Worst service ever!!!!
I received a flyer in the mail about a trade-in program. Having never been to this dealer before, I was a little hesitate to reach out but I left as a very happy customer. I spoke with Tony Krebs about what I was looking for in a new car and the status of my trade-in, and he more than accommodated what I needed. I drove away in a brand new Fusion Hybrid for less than I was paying in my prior car. And, I love my new car! I will definitely return to Spirit Ford and Tony for my next vehicle purchases.
Bought my car there. Salesman was good. Unfortunately the lower paid staff are treated by management like low people. They dont get raises or bonuses. You have to take care of your staff for them to take care of your customer. Therefore I will not return to buy another car.
Hi, I bought a 2018 Ford f150 King Ranch on February 15, 2020. The mileage was 26097 when I bought it. I drove it to my house in Hudsonville, Michigan and it’s been in storage ever since. The mileage is at 26274 now because I had driven it home and added 177 miles to it. Shortly after getting it home and washing it, putting it in storage, my son came over and just happened to see a round welt under my passenger window wiper which I never spotted. It’s hidden below the wiper and the stone chip welt is right in the orange colored heating element that keep the wipers from icing up in the winter making it all the more hard to see it. Now, I know what it sounds like when a rock hits a windshield and at no time driving home, 177 miles, did I hear anything hit this expensive truck. Yes, I could call my insurance company and have them pay for this but I don’t think that’s right if it didn’t happen when I was driving it home. I really think Spirit Ford should pay for a new windshield but I’ve tried calling to get this resolved, but only able to leave messages on their voicemail. I really need to talk to a person!!Im adding to this post, today is Saturday, May 30, 2020. Ok, I have contacted Spirit Ford multiple times now about this issue and have been leaving messages to the dealerships manager, Bill Clovis(not sure of spelling), but he has not called me back. I just want an answer, but apparently when you buy a vehicle from this dealership and have an issue, they dont want to help you. I will continue to contact them, and I hope if I have to leave a message again with the dealerships manager, he will call me back, or someone will. I will keep updating this post til they contact me.
The staff here are absolutely amazing, they worked endlessly to get me into a great vehicle. Then a week later I totaled it.. such luck. But the good news is they didn’t stop working until they got me into another great ride! I have never been happy with a car dealer until I visited them! I will be a customer for life, and I don’t even really like Fords.
I had a wonderful experience when I purchased my Ford F-150 on May 14, 2016. Tony the salesman was great in explaining everything and answered all my questions. Nancy Ferguson did an excellent job in showing everything about my new truck. I had a great experience the following Monday when another young lady (I dont remember her name) showed me how to hook up my cell phone with the phone in the truck. I would recommend Spirit Ford to anyone and everyone. I have been involved in two other vehicle purchases in my work as Executive Director of the Dundee Senior citizens center. Thank you.
My father bought a car from spirit recently and with the help of Jason everything went so smoothly. He was very kind and offered refreshments and everything just a very outgoing person. Like I said before everything went smooth and cool and will for sure be back to buy a car from him again.
Great experience at Spirit Ford!! Very organized, willing to negotiate and went over and above customer satisfaction! Don Mynderse was a great salesman and got our paperwork submitted and signed within 20 minutes...and with a toddler, that was much needed!! We left our bike rack at the dealership (on accident) and the gentleman at the dealership drove all the way to our house (over an hour away) to drop it off. We couldnt be happier with our purchase and with the dealership. Thank you Spirit Ford for making our new purchase smooth and efficient!!
I had a wonderful experience at Spirit Ford in Dundee Michigan. They helped me and my family get a new car that we desperately needed with affordable payments a very very very friendly staff its highly recommended that you go check them out. Special thank you to Brock and Jason who helped me get my car
I have purchased/Leased 5 plus vehicles from Spirit Ford. I have always had excellent sales and service. This is a top notch Ford Dealership that I call my Home Dealership. Everyone is super friendly. My Salesman is Don Mynderse, for my recent Lease he went out of his way to make my delivery of my F150 an awesome experience. He has been in the business for 20 years and knows what hes doing. If your looking to buy/lease a ford vehicle, go see Don, you wont be disappointed. Thanks Don, love my F150
I spoke with Jason Marcum and told him how Ive been to several dealership with no success. He took his time and even text me. He worked several days to get me in a new car. The car is beautiful and I LOVE IT. He did it. Frank Duran assisted with the final paperwork. He was really nice and helpful. When I get ready for another car Im going no where else but here. Thank you so much. Anita Dixon a grateful customer.
The folks at Spirit Ford made purchasing a 2019 F-150 the best new vehicle buying experience I have ever had! David Hardcastle did a great job explaining all the available options and configuring the exact truck that I wanted, and with the rebates and discounts I qualified for, David put together a great deal for me, too. Kyle Wallath made picking up my new truck an enjoyable and efficient experience, too. Kyle had all the paperwork prepared before I arrived and he took a good amount of time explaining all of the features of my new truck, too. I would highly recommend Spirit Ford to anyone in the market to buy or lease an F-150, or any of Fords other offerings!
Love my new truck and LOVE the service I received at Spirit Ford! My salesperson, Don, kept my best interests at heart and made sure I was 100% satisfied. Im a long time customer who travels over 1 hour to Spirit Ford for sales and service and will continue to make the drive!
This is our second Ford Edge. The first was a 2008 and the best car we ever owned. We passed the 08 down to a family member and bought a new 2018 Edge. So far, its great. There is quite a learning curve on the new one, as it is equipped with many new options. Im sure that very soon we will be very comfortable with the operation of all of them.I like doing business at a smaller town dealership. The first Edge was from Whitman in Temperance. ( now closed ) The new Edge was purchased at Spirit Ford in Dundee. The buying experience was Great, our salesman Kyle was very helpful. Time will tell if our new Edge is asgood as the first one. We hope so.......
I have to apologise to spirit Ford and especially to Brock ,I made a complaint I was unhappy , they then call me and assured me they wanted me to be happy, I can say they are going the extra step for that to happen. I not only recommend but suggest everyone to go their , they stand behind their autos they sell and make you feel like you can trust in them . Outstanding job and thank you for showing me Im just not another sale I am excited to be doing future business with spirit ford
Excellent service! Kyle W. was the best! I appreciated the fact that he treated my wife with such respect, as she was the one purchasing the vehicle. No high pressure sale...just honest, straight forward business. If you are looking for a vehicle, I highly recommend them!
Bought a 2014 Chrysler Town & Country from them at the end of February, I absolutley love this dealership.. They were the first dealership Ive ever been to that didnt try and force me into something. Brock listened to everything we had to say and got me into the best car for me.. and then Jason sealed the deal with all the finances and paperwork! In the future if were ever in the market for a new vehicle we will definitely be back.. I have been telling everyone that all the people there are fantastic. I love my new van ♡
Had a great car buying experience at Spirit Ford. My salesman, Tony Krebs, was friendly, helpful and patient through the entire process. I traded in my old car and drove out with a new one the same day. Very happy with the car and the service at Spirit Ford, thank you!
Long wait ... I wasent sure what was going on, the whole place seemed swamped with work ... I will say that every time I get my oil changed, simple things they are very fast. But to give them credit, Im not a mechanic & still dont know what was actually wrong with my truck. Driving it home? It sounded pretty rough? So well see? But the staff is great, real professional & they put up with me calling every day ... So that gives you some idea of how courteous they are & try to make the customer happy?
Spoke with a sales person named Cheryl about a new F-150. Gave her my information and asked that she give me a price on the new truck. I didnt hear from her, so I called and left her a voice mail curious about the price as I needed a new truck ASAP. Never heard back from her and its been about a week. I got a truck someplace else in the meantime.
No stars. Called for new key FOB and was quoted $160 for the key fob and $100 for the 10 minutes worth of labor. Then was charged an additional $12 for the SHOP SUPPLIES. Shop supplies for setting a new key fob, which took less than 10 minutes after the car being brought back, is ridiculous! Please be aware that they will nickel and dime you!
My sales rep, Tony, was knowledgeable, friendly, and very patient. He helped me to find exactly what I was looking for. I felt that Spirit Ford truly wanted to form a business relationship, not simply a quick sale. I am truly a satisfied customer and will definitely return in the future.
I have just picked up my car which was in for an air-conditioning problem. I cannot say enough about the staff there, they were absolutely wonderful. They couldnt have been more friendly and helpful. The problem was fixed. I have bought three cars from this dealership over the last two decades and have brought them in for regular maintenance, I have always been extremely pleased with my treatment and with the service. Great place to go!
Cheryle Anderson worked with us to purchase the truck. We started the process just as the pandemic was starting. Cheryle worked very hard, trying to find a 2019 truck that met our needs, that was in a dealers inventory. We waited for a while and decided to have a 2020 built. Cheryle made the process of deciding and ordering the options very clear and easy. Once the truck was built and shipped, Cheryle made the financing, insuring, registration processes easy and seamless. Delivery went off without a hitch. Overall Cheryle and Spirit Ford did an excellent job.
Broke down driving through Michigan right in front of their dealership. After are truck was towed they got on the diagnostic and repairs and had us back on the road headed north in a little over three and a half hours. All the service people was very friendly and treated us with the utmost respect couldnt have been happier would definitely recommend Spirit Ford for service at any time thanks again Bob and tell the crew we appreciate it at all.
Its always a pleasure to have our vehicle serviced at Spirit Ford. They are efficient, professional and pleasant. The waiting area is comfortable with amenities such as TV, coffee, vending machines. But the highlight of it all is Gary Shannon; such charisma. He puts the SPIRIT in Spirit Ford!
I contacted Spirit ford about a vehicle they had listed on the internet. The people answering the phones in sales acted as I was more a bother than a potential customer. I had cash willing to make a deal. Asked for pictures only to be ignored and having to call back. Finally found someone had had to talk to them about sounding more enthused to sell me a vehicle. Long story short, I was wanting to make a deal and get a vehicle sold. They came back with an offer $8k MORE than listed price. I get taxes and fees, but also know how to use a calculator. Looking for people to make GOOD deals with you and do their best to find a reasonable ground so both parties are happy, this isnt the place.
I am so blessed an very grateful for Jason an Brock at spirit ford I just love you guys thank you so much I am so blessed to have met y’all an I am excited you were able to help me thank you so much. My experience was great. Love My new car. Thank you spirit ford family.....
Helpful staff and accommodating management. Best part of my experience was the free loaner car I was provided. My previous vehicle was totaled; Gary did not hesitate to put me into a loaner car until the insurance claims were squared away and he found the right vehicle for me to buy!
Let me preface this review with the following - we have always had great experiences here, from salespeople to service... until the experience this review is about. I bought my car from Spirit and it was a custom factory build. I took possession of it mid April. Towards the end of May, the airbag/seatbelt restraint light came on. Concerned that this was a safety issue, I stopped at the dealership after work to see if they could look at it. As soon as I came in and described the issue, I was told that they had no appointments until the end of the following week. When I expressed my safety concern, I was met with attitude and disdain. The gentleman helping me (unfortunately I dont have his name, but I know who he isnt) went to talk to the service manager. I could hear him explain the situation and the manager (within earshot) loudly sighed (in an annoyed way). They begrudgingly told me they could keep it, but probably wouldnt even look at it until the next day. Because I still had to work, I decided to just leave - and the gentleman helping me told me maybe it was just a fluke anyway. For the next few days, every time I was in the car, the light came on - alerting both me and my husband (through the app on our phone). I decided to call and see if they could get me an appointment, but was told they still couldnt get me in for a week. I decided to call a few other dealerships and was told the same thing. Apparently Ford service employees dont have much regard for the safety of their customers. I decided to contact my salesperson, Cheryle (who was amazing). Unfortunately, she was out of town, so I left her a message. I called Spirit one more time and was told they could see me the following Tuesday. After expressing my irritation, they agreed to see it the Friday of that week (June 8th). Cheryle had also called me during this time to tell me she wanted to get it in and checked out as soon as I was able. We dropped it off on the 8th and were given a loaner car (which was nice). I never once received a call to tell me the status/progress of the work being done - I had to call them a week and a half later for information. They ended up having my car until June 21! They had to tear the dashboard apart to find the problem, which turned out to be the airbag module - which needed to be replaced. I understand that things break, but Im also a little disappointed that this was a factory build that needed to be torn apart and fixed after 6 weeks! My biggest issue in this whole situation was more the way I was treated because I didnt have an appointment and was concerned for my safety. All they had to do was be a little more understanding and willing to work with me (especially since I had just dropped a small fortune at their dealership on my car).
Spirit Ford is awesome! I stopped by this dealership on my way back home from a trip to Cabelas yesterday. I live near Lansing, so I wasnt interested in actually buying anything, I just wanted to look at the new 2018 F-150s. I talked to a great young man named Kevin, he was very knowledgeable about the new trucks and gave me a pretty in depth demo of one even though I made it perfectly clear I wasnt interested in purchasing. He could have just gave me his card and walked away like most salesmen do, but he took the time to get to know me and let me know about all of the new stuff on the F-150. Even though I wasnt ready to purchase anything yesterday, I will definitely be making the drive back down to Spirit when Im ready just to see Kevin! Highly recommend him, and Im sure everyone else who works at Spirit is great too!
Spirit Fords Service department is awesome! They were very helpful and kind especially the service Manager Ed! I would not take my vehicle any where else but there. I brought my vehicle in for some a oil change. They gave the coupon rate even though I had forgotten my coupon. Then Ed went over my paper work and asked if there was anything else I needed looked at while the vehicle was there. Awesome!
I found my dream car at Spirit Ford. I called and informed them I was coming to finance the car I wanted. Keep in mind, I live an hour away from this dealership. As soon as I get there, the salesman I talked with on the phone says “we just sold the car and I didn’t have your number to tell you” but he knew I was coming to get the car... They knew how far away I was and everything... I was very disappointed and let down.
Terrible experience, manager told me I was stupid for wanting a fair price, when I walked away he called me back 30 minutes later and told me he could get the price I asked for. After scolding me because I was so young (19) and told me Im dumb and need to be fair. I got the deal and truck I wanted. So i accepted the offer. I made it through a year and a half of my lease before I decided it was time to get rid of the truck. The truck ended up having 4 recalls through the 1 year and 6 months I leased it. Every single recall it had I was never notified by Ford. I tried scheduling service to fix said recalls at spirit ford but I ended up taking it elsewhere because the manager claimed he couldnt rent me or give me a loaner vehicle because state law says you must be 25 to rent vehicles, but when I proved him wrong and showed him state law which says 18 or older to rent he then changed the story and told me the dealership couldnt due to there rules. So after all this I traded the truck in and got myself a 4runner. The Toyota dealer bought out my lease but not without having the salesmen having to directly go to spirit ford with a check and a Mail envelope to mail the check to ford credit (because ford customer service wouldnt help toyota) My sales guy at toyota told me that the manager at spirit ford laughed in his face when he handed him the check..All in all I will never buy a vehicle from spirit ford. Managers and service departments fail quality communication skills and customer service.
Tony Krebs is by far the best salesmen I’ve ever worked with. He was always available, quick to answer any of my questions, and listened to all my wants and needs. I would highly recommend him. I will be referring everyone I know to him. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
Describe your experience......heres my story. I paid cash for a 3 year old car....I asked if they could replace the two front tires because they needed replaced. I paid for them. I finally hand washed my car and found a 7 by 3/4 spot of bare metal and rust inside on the passenger door. The paint was flaking because of no primer. I told the salesman Tom about the paint defect and he took pictures to send to Bill Colovos the general manager. I didnt hear from them in 3 weeks so I took it to their body/collision repair shop down the road. The Spirit Ford collision shop guy said I missed the 3 year warranty from Ford by a month. He said he would send pictures to Bill. This was on Wednesday. I waited until Friday to call Bill. I called Bill Friday after work and he said he would look at the pictures on Monday. Figuratively speaking, it takes 30 seconds or less to look at a few photographs. This is their general manager Bill Colovos. Monday at 5:09pm I call Bill. No answer. At this point I am not happy. I waste my time after work to stop by the dealership because the general manager Bill Colovos could not handle looking over a few pictures. I wait for Bill to get into his office so we can chat. He explains that fixing it would cost him $400, which is not true. I paid them in FULL for a 2014 vehicle. He talks over me loudly interrupting as I try and explain to him the paint defect. After that he argues with me on which day I called him about the pictures. Keep in mind this is their head of management. Where I work if managers act like this to customers you wouldnt last a week. I work for the main supplier of Ford industrial computer company which sells to every Ford plant around the world. Anyways, instead of doing it right, he offers to have a kid come out and use touch up paint with a brush. After that he asked me why I cant just do it myself since I have previous paint experience. At this point this is a joke to me. He sent me to another guy in the service department and told me that he would just paint brush it on. I was speechless to say the least. I had to contact the president of the dealership to get everything worked out. They did end up fixing the rust/paint flaking on the inside lower passenger door but that doesnt change my experience and what happened to get this issue resolved. If youre looking for customer service it does not exist at this dealership. They do not follow up or communicate with their customers properly. I really hope they learn from this and others that have bad customer service experiences at this dealership and they improve. I was very happy with the outcome that Spirit Ford collision shop did I gave them 5 stars. The collision shop did a great job blending and they were very helpful and nice.
The service department is horrible, the employees in that department are unprofessional and act like the car owner is stupid and therefore can be duped. I had the car one month, and while I understand the purchase is buyer beware, the service department seems to be oh, heres a sucker, lets take advantage and do as little as possible. They ran a diagnosis for the transmission but not for anything else - not an engine surging, throttle sensor, or intake manifold. Less than 1/2 mile after leaving the facility the car did the exact thing that I took it in for. I returned. Their response we didnt find anything with the transmission. Of course it was 45 minutes before they closed so they had no time for me. I do want to say that the salesman who sold the car to me was professional and nice I have absolutely no complaints about him.
I will never buy a vehicle at this place again. My first day driving home, headlight out, 2nd day, wipers will not turn off in the off position, after parking loaner car for the weekend, went to start it up, engine light comes on and the car will barely move.......you would think these vehicles were checked over thoroughly before putting on the lot to be sold....someone is not doing their job. Very big inconvenience.....
I had an amazing experience at Spirt Ford. The entire delarship was very friendly and Don who I purchased my new vehicle through was also very helpful when ordering my new Escape and made my experience with Spirt Ford Awesome. I will Continue to be a customer with Spirit Ford and I will definitely Purchase my Next Vehicles in the future from Spirit Ford. Thanks for the great experience. I recommend Spirit Ford Delarship to everyone because they truly are extremely friendly and care about their customers.
If you think you cant get into car... just go see JASON!!!! No Joke! Best car salesman Ive ever met as well as an all around awesome guy!! They waste no time making things happen here! Everything was a total ease and super fast!! You wont be disappointed! Im beyond thankful and will never shop with anyone other than Jason for a car again!
This business is one of the worst places I have ever dealt with because of Jason. I was told i would be the owner of a car that I initially did not need a cosigner for. I was told it would be no money down and that if i were to pay the note on time it would help my credit. When I got there I was told I could not get a cheaper car because the bank would not approve of the car even though he never tried. I was told i needed a cosigner for my 2015 ford focus. My aunt wanted to help me because I was pregnant, my car transmission had just gave out on me, and I did not want to miss school because of the car issue. My aunt agreed to COSIGN a vehicle for me to help out, but we were both mislead by Jason. There were multiple people in his office including my mom and cousin that witnessed him say cosigner. I went back and forth to Michigan from Toledo at least three to four times and by then, my aunt almost did not even want to get the car because he kept changing his story about why it took so long. After signing the paperwork, I went over it and realized my name was not on the paperwork at all. This was my first time coming to a real dealership to finally gain some responsibility and I was taken advantage of. After i found out the entire car was in my aunts name, I called him. I asked was she a cosigner or owner. He told me she was the owner of the car and that I could sale it back in six months, but in the meantime I should dispute some of the things on my credit report. I was told to fill out for a credit and he PRINTED OUT AND WROTE FALSE INFORMATION for me to obtain it by telling me what income to enter and other details. Of course I did not do it because I knew it was wrong. At this point I just wanted to never come back to Spiritford and forget everything that happened, but now I have run into anymore problems because of him. He set up the insurance policy for us as well. He put my license and my aunts license at risk when he told me I was a driver on the policy and I and the car would be covered if anything were to happen. It was a lie and I am now trying to take all courses of action as possible because I am not the first person he has lied to , to complete a sale. I called Jason about what he did and his response was , and I quote I did not tell you nothing. This is the most unprofessional place I Have ever dealt with. Me and my aunt will not stop until we receive the help we were entitled to like everyone else that spends money with Spiritford. I also had a problem with my car and I felt the transmission was giving out and I knew because I just told Jason about the problem with my other car before the ford. I talked to the service department and they did not offer to look at it or anything . His recommendations was to accelerate on the gas more. I wonder why we were treated like this.
Worst customer service ever!!!! Bought my 2014 explorer in 7/13.1st Year:Needed new brake pads & rotors.New Battery2nd Year:Rattle in sun roof- still ongoing. Apparently no one can hear it.... have it recorded however on multiple occasionsPieces missing from glove compartmentRattle in middle captain seat- unable 2 fix- deal w/ itCorrosion of console by gear shift.Accused me of spilling something even though nothing was damaged in seat or carpet. B/t corporate & dealership did fix it.3rd yearSun roof rattle out of controlRust under driver door & front passenger door. Not covered b/c no holes & apparently we run our shoes on the door when exiting the vehicle. Yep you read it right. All the way from inside corner to the middle.Transmission not in park light & alarm when car is off. Need a new shifter assembly for $350.Sounds to me like a crap car. Guess what Ford has given me. An apology. Nope. Something to make it right... hell no.Last visit to spirit got me a mud crusted car inside & out that they did not clean & a gauged gear shifter. Thank you very much.Contacted corporate Ford for the umpteenth time & received yet another case number that does no good especially when it ends up on the desk of Jim- the customer service manager. Also called & left a message w/ the service manager @ Spirit Ford: Edward Waldron on 12/6 AM. It is now 12/7 PM w/ no call back.Like I said horrible customer service !!!3.9/5 is being way 2 generous. Unfortunately I cant give it 0 stars!!!!Best part is I actually had this vehicle especially made 4 me. Waited 2 months.... was so excited. Guess the joke is in me...
Spirit Ford is a great place to buy a Ford or any used vehicle. I have bought several cars from them and the GM Bill Colovos is great to work with as is Don Mynderse . I drive past at least 10 dealerships to get to this store. I live near Walled Lake and drive all the way to Dundee to work with Spirit Ford. I would recommend Don and Bill to any of my friends and family. 5 star operation!Lisa
Service department is a joke! Everytime I take my vehicle in there to have something fixed, they either tell me nothing is wrong with it, or tell me something else is wrong and charge me a $100, and they dont fix what I brought it in for. Then a few weeks later, Im having to bring it back in for the same thing and then they want to charge me another $100 service fee. I dont feel I should have to pay another $100 because they didnt fix it the first damn time. I feel like they are running a scam on people.
(PLEASE READ THE POST AND EDIT) Not a bad place to buy form, sales seem OK, after that, forget about it.. Bought a 17 F350 there in July 17, sale was OK, the sales person seem to care and go the extra mile to make sure drove home happy. Vehicle needed service (rear cam = blue screen occasionally), Blu-tooth would not par phone occasionally, and CD would fault out sometimes or not read audio files. OK, so service writer told me that a TSB was in the system for the blue screen, and the repair (wire harness) was on back order and the other things will be fixed when the harness is available. Harness is not available until Late December........ maybe not the dealers fault, but thats were the fun started. Took the truck in with a 1 page clearly written (with pics) of the blue screen and the other details. Dropped off Monday evening for work to start on Tuesday. Days go by.....no calls from the service dept, Finally call Thursday, still working on it... call again Friday (they never called me) still working on. Called again the following Monday (no a full week there) it will be done today. Go to pick it up, wait at least 30 min to complete the paperwork Service writers tells me that no parts were replaced, and they verified the issue with the CD but did nothing, and could not verify the Blu-tooth and no harness was replaced. So I was with out a vehicle for a week and still nothing fixed. Way to go Spirit.......Just lost a customer, and I will not be shy about voicing my experience. Also, I am a Sr. Engineer for vehicle infotainment systems that are supplied to another OEM, so do know what I am talking about.**********EDIT: The dealer did call me back in the morning (next day) to clarify the following: The CD issue was investigated, a store bought CD was used and the issue did not re-occur, and the CD I made was re-installed and the problem DID re-occur. (I was never told this when I picked up the vehicle...only that they verified the issue. Regarding the Harness, it was replaced, just not on the work order, so its wait and see if it fixed the blue screen. And the Blu-tooth, issue, the service dept did additional investigation and its also wait and see if the harness fixed the issue (possible CAN communication issue caused by the harness ??) we will see. Anyway, glad they followed up and are now at least engaging with me on the issues
The service we have received has been absolutely horrible. Our sales rep Gary was horrible, he wasnt there the day we picked up our truck, he had everyone around him do his job! We have had problem after problem reoccur with our truck since we purchased it in November. Now we are stuck in a truck that has sensor lights popping up and problem after problem. The only positive thing I have to say about the dealer is that the owner Russ was very nice and tried to help us. We are still stuck in this HORRIBLE vehicle and have no way of getting out. Read through on your sales rep, because he knew he was selling us a lemon out of the lot!! Horrible horrible horrible place to do business!!
Our buying experience at Spirit Ford was about as painless as buying a new vehicle can be, thanks especially to the helpfulness of our sales person, David Hardcastle. Our situation was a little more complicated than most because well be retrofitting a wheelchair lift. David was happy to research for us and explain everything in detail without any hard sell whatsoever. If he didnt have an answer to a question, he found it for us quickly. And we LOVE our new Transit 150 XLT wagon, and many thanks to Spirit!
This was the worst buying and service experience I have ever had. The service Technicians are rud and the service write up people treate me like I dont know anything. My 2012 Focus is a Lemon and when I went through the BBB to get Ford to buy the car back. Spirit Ford had written my service orders up like I did not have loaners for the full time my car was in the shop. My car would be in the shop for 9 days and they wrote that I only had a loaner for 2 so instead of the 49 days that my car was in the shop Ford Motor Co said that it was only in 19 days. This made it so that I am now stuck with a car that is constantly breaking down. Electrical, and Mechanical problems. And I am stuck with it for the next 5 years. I am a single person that does not make a lot of money and when I buy a new car every 11 or 12 years I have to keep them for long periods of time because I just cant afford to replace them. I needed a reliable car to get me to and from work and now my work is writing me up because I miss too much time for my car issues. I HATE MY FORD FOCUS, I WILL NEVER BUY A FORD AGAIN IN MY LIFE AND I THINK THE NEXT CAR I BUY WILL BE FORIGN!!!!!!!!!!
Leased a vehicle two years ago and dealt with salesperson Rico Ialacci. Went today to discuss my end of lease options which end next month and am told a way higher price to buy the lease than originally explained by Rico. Then we are told that Rico no longer works their as he was let go. Probably for swindling / lying to customers as he did with us. The current staff was extremely pushy in regards to extended warranty options, even after being told no multiple times on the phone prior to coming in today. The dealership then explains that it is our fault that Rico lied to us, and refuses to try and make it right telling us it is non-negotiable. This is an extremely pushy dealership that lacks morals, and instead supports lying to get a sale. If you are looking for a vehicle, go elsewhere.... This will likely have to end in arbitration as the dealership refuses to accept fault for their employees mistake. If I could post a review with negative stars I would!
Id love to leave ZERO STARS FOR THUS JOKE DEALERSHIP! Well first off Id like to say I live right down the road from spirit Ford. It all started with us taking our cars spirit Ford for an oil change. When I started to notice that mighty filter was used after about 3 times of taking it there they only use Motorcraft so guess what they were changing my filter during my oil changes thats just one of the problems! So a few years later I figured Id give them a second chance SHAME ON ME! I was looking at a car and I told them what I could put down and they couldnt help me with the payment. So I went to Briarwood Ford where they had the same exact car and I told them what I could put down and amazingly was the right price! This is why I bought my last two cars from Briarwood Ford never will you fool me again you dishonest dealership!
John is an idiot. If only I could give LESS than 1 star.... I call for recall service, and before I told him what vehicle I was calling about he said they didnt have the part, they would have to order it. When I point out that he has no idea what part, he asks for the recall number. We have that part in stock. I ask how much, he tells me free. I schedule for a Tuesday at 2pm, and he says it will take a couple hours. I drop the vehicle off Monday night. Tuesday at 2:10pm, I get a call from John, telling me its unsafe to drive, and its going to cost me 700 to repair. I remind him that the recall was supposed to be free. He says, Oh, the seven hundred is for this other service to make it safe to drive. I tell him I will have to bring it back another time for that. He tells me my car will be ready Wednesday. I ask why they cant have it for me today as promised, and he tells me its because they cant get the part until morning. I ask him why he scheduled an appointment for a 2 hour duration, for a part that he didnt bother to order during the week that has passed since I scheduled the appointment. He says he will check, and call me back in 10 minutes. An HOUR later I am AT the dealership, to pick up my car. (At this point, I dont care if its fixed or not, I am taking it home - on a tow truck, if need be...) He says its all ready. (Must have magic time machine for ordering parts...) I ask for a written estimate for the additional proposed repairs, and he shows me a number scratched in the bottom LEFT corner of one of the pieces of paper he has handed me. I ask him for something that I might be able to read, and he scratches some barely readable stuff on another piece of paper. He hands me my key, and tells me my car is On the other side of that wall, pointing outside through the service bays. My car is not there. I go back inside, and tell him my car is not there. He walks outside, looks at the place where he said my car is, and looks confused. Then he gets a golf cart, and takes me to the other end of the lot, where my car is. How does this guy not starve to death? He obviously isnt smart enough to feed himself. Youll never see me at Spirit Ford in Dundee again. I cant believe that the management even allows him on the property, much less answer phones, and wait on customers.
Had an unpleasant experience with Calvin about a year ago. I had an appointment at 9:30, but he was not there. He came at 10:00 with a McDonald’s orange juice on his hand. I could definitely see that he doesn’t care that I had been waiting for 30 mins. He seemed like a nice guy in general, but he didn’t apologize for being late at all and I was so upset.
The unit is well built and runs well. I have only two negative comments. 1 the armrest on the front seat is almost impossible to lower with one hand. The release is on the passengers side and must be depressed and the back folded with the second hand. 2 . There is no cd player. GM still provides one on t.heir trucks. Having to copy a cd then transfer to a thumb drive is a painYou can not rent thumb drives when you are on a trip for audio books. Other than that seems to be a good truck i First ford truck in 19 years.
Sales man very professional, found what I was looking for. Don is the best in business, I delt with him when he worked at Whitman ford. He has never changed, very sincere, and actually shows he cares about your business. I only buy from him and recommend him to others.
Ive never written a bad review in my life but this place is horrible. When I first got my car it was the wrong color from what I wanted but at the time I was in dire need for a car and didnt have the time to wait for a new one to be shipped in so I didnt put up much of a fuss. Now everytime I try to go there for a simple maintenance they cant assist me. Ive tried three times to get this simple service with them and the last time just really rubbed me the wrong way. I got off of work earlier then normal and checked to see what time they closed on a Saturday. They closed at 3pm and I arrived at 1:36pm. The service door was closed so I was looking around to see if there was a sign explaining why and an employee came out. Are you wondering why its closed? I said yes. Its a hoilday weekend and we have a Skelton crew working. Did they know you were coming? I said no. He smirk at me shrugged his shoulders and said well then... took two strides back over to the other door and didnt come back out. That was literally it. He didnt apologize for the short staffing, ask what it was that I needed in the first place, or help me in any way. I will not try coming here again. Friendly ford in monroe has always been super nice and customer originated and even though they are out of my way I will continue to go to them.
This place is terrible. Their estimates DONT ADD UP MATHEMATICALLY. When we pointed this out the first time they gave us a 200$ credit. I got another estimate on work and the math didnt add up correctly but it was only a 500$ fix. No biggie. Welp of course they called me back and said that they miscalculated and it would be 200$ more... Kinda fishy since we had a 200$ credit. It truly says something when your customers of 4 or 5years decide not to use the balance of credit due to the lack of trust. We are done! Also they changed my dash to metrics, lost my center wheel plate, and lugg-nuts fell off after one of our services. We are going to Belle... Cost is 300$(not 700$) even they couldnt get the math to add up on SPIRITS estimate!
Walked in last week wearing my mask as I do any time I am out at a store. The door says masks are required but when I get inside no one is wearing a mask. I talked a little with a sales person (who had no mask), felt very uncomfortable and left. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL in this day and age.
Salesmen were a little pushy and very misleadingGot a call from one saying i was approved for over 24,000 with a control number to bring in2 days later got a call from another with a lower ammount and different control numberyoure approved for this much zero down and blah blah blahWell after actually running my credit it was, you can either pay over $4,000 down or find a co-signer even with a score of over 620This was of course after they ran my credit NINE TIMES!!! which of course plummeted my score quite a bit so going to another dealership makes it that much harder
Terrible get a letter signed Billy C saying I am selected for an upgrade pull ahead on my truck, email them trying to find out if this is true because my lease is not up until June, tell them no phone calls just tell me yes or no. Then I get Calvin he says call I email him to say just tell me if this is true or not. He calls my house leaves a message saying he will send me numbers on Monday. Never hear from him again and never did hear from Biily C assume offer was bait and switch bogus, never trust anything from this outfit again
I give four stars because the salesman Tony Krebbs and the owner have really come through for me and the staff here are for the most part very professional. However I just cannot get over the way iam treated in the service department. ONE STAR FOR THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT.
I came in today without a service appointment my rock guard had fallen off I have work vehicle and they took care of the phone calls and a minimum wage and diagnose another issue that I had and are going to order parts and will take care of that another day friendly people on my way to work in and out basically great experience
I bought a Toyota Tacoma in December came in earlier this week for my first oil change and tire rotation the staff member that move my truck could not figure out how to takeoff the E break and Burned my clutch now I am having problems driving my truck because something is wrong with my clutch I cannot believe that I bring in my vehicle for routine maintenance and come out with damage to my vehicle i’ve called to complain and only got a I will look into it I am disgusted with the service from this dealership I am out raged that my vehicle is now damaged and have a feeling I’m going to have to take it somewhere else to fix what they damaged and pay out of my pocket if you need to get service on your vehicle even if they offer free service I suggest taking it somewhere else because obviously their staff does not know what they’re doing so buyer beware they are incompetent And may cause further damage to your vehicle
I wont ever trust this dealership again they told Me I was approved for a loan for $18.900 so I sat an appointment to see what they knowing I wanted a mustang they said we have them .. So I talk to Jason right before I came in he said I was approved for $18.300 they never ran my credit when they finally do run it I was approved for 12.000 just lies all the way around do not trust in spirit ford

2022-04-18The dealership represents a significant value to me in both time and expertise. I lease my vehicles and am not looking for troubles with the maintenance. I drive a ways to get to Spirit Ford, but it is well worth the time and expense. Professional, prompt and easy to deal with.Thank you, as always.

2021-07-11Once again bamboozled by car dealership. Hard working momma of 2 and my money put towards a lemon! Thought I found THE mini van I was looking for. My sales guy was great super friendly and made the process quick. Little did I know on my sleep deprived I have a newborn brain this van was in 3 accidents. Why wasnt this shared when purchasing?! Shame on you spirit Ford! I did my research for 2 weeks to figure out what the perfect vehicle was and now I have anxiety if this vehicle is safe Im driving my babies around in! Theres a side mirror that doesnt work, front side panel that isnt flesh with the door and cant wait to find what else.

2022-01-05Used Spirit Ford in the past for service only. I was very happy with the service department. We leased our previous 2020 Explorer at Friendly Ford in Monroe and was extremely unhappy. Decided to try Spirit Ford on our next lease. All I can say is thank you to everyone at Spirt Ford for making us feel at home. Calvin did an awesome job and well as everyone else that was involved starting from the time we entered the building. So far we are happy with our new 2022 Explorer but the whole Spirit Ford experience made it even better.

2022-02-17My 2021 F150 was involved in a safety recall. I made an appointment for first thing in the morning, dropped the Truck off the evening before using their drop box, and got a call at 10:30 am that my truck was ready. When I went to get the truck I was given a full description of the nature of the work done and the outcome.I’ve been leasing and servicing my Fords with Spirit Ford in Dundee for the last 7 years and all of my experiences have been great.

2022-05-08Ordered a F250 Limited last June and it finally showed up last week. It was well worth the wait, what an awesome truck. The folks at Spirit Ford were absolutely outstanding to work with. No pressure and very accommodating to what worked for me to allow me an in and out delivery. I will be back for future urchases.

2022-06-17Spirit Ford is always friendly and their service is quick! I needed a filter replaced unexpectedly and they found Spirit rewards in my account to help cover that expense. My only complaint is when they handed me the keys they stated my car was washed and ready to go. Clearly it wasn’t washed! And that’s okay! Maybe someone didn’t follow through.

2021-07-19I found a used truck (2005 Ford Ranger) on cars.com last Thursday evening (July 15, 2021). I submitted an email inquiring about the availability, knowing very well they were closed and I wouldn’t get a response until the next day. Friday morning I decided to start making the 2 hour drive, and one of the sales team did indeed call me soon after they opened.Jordan was the gentleman I worked with, and he made the whole experience very simple. Amanda, who prepares all the paperwork, was also very friendly and helpful.Yes, I live two hours away. And with the current shortage of available vehicles, that’s originally why I chose to buy from Spirit Ford. After my experience with Jordan and Amanda both, distance no longer matters when it comes to having a great experience. I will definitely contact Jordan in the future when vehicle needs change.

2022-06-07Purchased a ford excursion from them 6 months ago several parts they stated wernt installed correctly and or wernt of quality the charge pipe boots kept comeing off and we had to replace them with oem ones the starting components had several loose nuts and had looked as if it wasn’t greased properly after install overall I wouldn’t have any vehicles serviced or purchase any more vehicles through them
