Wonderful area. There is a stage present and a small seating area.
Watched Amp Fiddler performance with special guests Dames Brown and Teddy Pendergrass tribute artist. It was amazing, great food truck, local artisans, open picnic seating. A great way to enjoy my afternoon
Went here for the fireworks. It rained a bit earlier and the umbrellas came in handy. Great viewing point.

In the Summer, this place is the BEST place to go all throughout the work week! You can see live bands for free! They also have food & clothes vendors! Oh & the sightseeing in this area is amazing! 😍 There are lots of places to take beautiful historical photos that represents our great city of Detroit!

A great place to hang out and chill. They have some fun festivals and such here. There are places to sit and swing. Only thing to remember is that the Spirit of Detroit statue is popular with tourists, so be ready to wait to take your photo.
This plaza is okay - it used to be a road connecting to Jefferson, and has been transitioned into a make shift plaza. I would love to see it permanently become something with more greenery and grass, rather than a hardscape like so much of Detroit is. It is a nice area for food trucks and sitting outside during lunch.

I’m from the suburbs but moved out of state in 2002. I haven’t been to the city since. I must say I’m so impressed by the positive changes! I felt totally safe spending the day there with my kids.

The buses travel fast & too close to the plaza, where ppl walk. Kinda dangerous. No wonder they closed it off to traffic🤔🥴😬
This is the heart of Detroit by the spirit of Detroit statue. Theres free Wi-Fi, a giant swing and a area where you can play music. There are also charging station for your cell phone.
This public space provides a convenient area for all activities, including public activism. Modeled after similar plazas in NYC, it also helps make it easier for pedestrians to cross Jefferson and access the Joe Louis Memorial fist.

The statue of the Spirit of Detroit in this little plaza is just great. Great Art Deco statue. Loved it. Well worth a look see.

We made this a stop for our Detroit rolling pub crew. Having 2 bikes full of folks we had to make this stop to get a crew picture!

Really a walk through the city center that has a lot to offer its visitors.
Attention, the pavement slabs are loose, danger of falling. Was definitely very inviting.

2021-09-27Been a minute since Ive been down to the riverfront l, specially Hart Plaza and the surrounding area. There is a great little park/playground the kiddos loved climbing on and running around. The Spirit of Detroit and tribute to Joe Louis are also a nice treat. Had a really beautiful day to enjoy some wonderful family time in downtown Motor City!
