Above average apartment complex. Carport was included in my lease. Decent snow removal. Higher price than less-desirable apartment complexes in the area, but much better than the places I saw around the immediate area. In-unit laundry and great management response to all issues I had. Good service upon both move-in and move-out. Not incredible, but nice and worth the money I paid while I lived there.
I have been in Spring Valley Apartments for a complete year now. I have been renting a 2 bed 2 bath apartment with 1100 Sq ft and these are my views1) Apartment structure: Absolutely love the structure. Both the bedrooms are separated by 2 bathrooms and a Washer/Dryer in between giving complete privacy to both the occupants. Big nice windows and a really large patio that can fit a queen size bed as well.2) Kitchen : The kitchen is trendy and kind of in an L-Shaped which makes it easy for multiple people to stand. Love the fact that they provide Microwave inbuilt.3) Bedrooms and Bathrooms: Structure and space wise, I am satisfied.4) Community/Safety : The community is also very good. Have left my car unlocked once but no harm was done. Overall a very safe area. They also have some get-togethers where they offer food and games once or twice a year. Ptosha the head, is very sweet too.5) Amenities : They provide pool, and gym and tennis court. Wish they had a proper club house where people can just go and watch TV but no complaints.6) Management/Maintenance : Really friendly and helpful. All my maintenance requests has been resolved sooner or later. I have had some issues with the heating in my apartment but they were kind enough to provide me with an extra heater. Easy online system as well.7) Rent: This probably is the only negative aspect that I can see. They are not very but a little pricey. I wish if they were a little cheaper. Regardless, the paying rent system is easy and online. So no need to go and write cheques every month.Overall: I loved the time I spent here. The only two major reasons for leaving, from my end, is because the commute to my work becomes really long and hectic during peak hours and the price is a little high. Otherwise, I would have loved to continue staying here.
Lived here for six months while our house was being built and words cannot explain how deplorable this place is. Pictures on the website is very misleading. Everything is outdated, the building is extremely old and just needs to be demolished and rebuilt. My family and I was extremely unhappy here. Bugs were there when we got there kitchen cabinets were falling off, the baby ancient toilets did not work for a month until they replaced one of them. Maintenance did not have a clue what they were fixing. Worst place ever to live with that price rent!!
This apartment complex states that it is a green environment. However no onsite recycling. In fact trash sites often have trash covering on the outside. No included utilities..I travel for work and am home apx two weeks a month--my electric bill in the summer is still $60 a month (I turn all power off while Im away)--Keep Ac at 74-75 to help keep costs low. This building is not worth the rent that they are requesting. The pool opened late and is closed two weeks in August.
If you are looking for a home in this area and your budget fall within what spring valley prices, stop looking and sign up quickly. Ive lived here with my husband and 3kids for 3years and all year round without traveling out for more than three days and all I can tell you is this... You dont want to miss calling this home. It is beautiful and well maintained. All the office and maintenance staff are awesome. Our neighbors are amazing and all our kids ride the bus together, play together on off days and attend the movies and other downtown event together. I am leaving this June and I will definitely miss calling here home. Ill miss the office and Maintenance staff and will definitely miss all the moms most especially Meenu, Zita and LeeAnna and all the beautiful kids that are making my kids enjoy their stay. Sign up and watch your kids pray in the field behind your house while you fix dinner.😊😊Did I tell you I once tried moving to somewhere else in Farmington Hills and Novi because we wanted to save some money? Yes, we did find something cheaper but nothing compared especially the maintenance and the space available for the kids to play as well as the fact that an elementary school playground is 5mins away and the school bus drop the kids inside the complex. Yes we ride the school bus despite being 5mins from school because to walk to school, the kids need to cross two traffic lights which isnt safe. I just love Spring Valley, Tosha and all the office member of staff.
I moved here in March 2000. I have always appreciated living at Spring Valley. It is well-maintained, the staff is courteous and professional, and it is close to everything I need—highways, shopping areas, professional offices, clean public parks, et al. I have never had a reason to leave and instead have many reasons to stay.
One of the best apartment complexes in Farmington Hills, Novi! The management is very helpful....Also, the apartments are fairly new, with new appliances and the rooms are big....There is also the option of online payments which is very convenient! 😊
I dont recommend this apartment complex to non-smokers. One of my neighbors keeps smoking inside his apartment and the smoke keeps drifting into my apartment. This gives me tons of stress. I submitted a complaint about it but the management doesnt seem to care. They dont even respond to my e-mails and I am not happy about it AT ALL.
Love living here for the last 10 years. I have had a good experience living here and would recommend Spring Valley Apartments to anyone looking for a home.Thank you,

2022-03-06After doing a research of apartment complex around the area we found spring valley with really good reviews and as well did look good over the internet. We needed to be sure that this place had good reviews since we were moving without seeing the apartment because we were coming from the west coast.Kourtney and Erika service attitude made us realize that this was our new home. We are really happy in our new apartment, its so peaceful and clean, with nice neighbors, definitely a friendly neighborhood.Maintenance request had met our expectations. Definitely we recommend this place as your new home!

2022-01-30The maintenance is useless so far, apartments are way overpriced for the size, they look decent enough when you’re doing a quick viewing then once you’re living there you realize how poor the condition really is. Cheap paint is pretty much slapped on everything, my biggest laugh was seeing it slapped on the laundry closet door but only on the outside not the inside…. Bedroom doesn’t even have an overhead light, for $1495 before extra expenses (for a one bedroom) it’s not worth the money in anyway. If I would’ve known this is what it would be I would’ve went up the street for $1100 and got something bigger and been able to justify it being poorly in so many ways. If you can make the choice to pick another place I would, unfortunately I needed a place immediately for work and this was the only option…

2022-04-02I liked living in this apartment even though there were issues with mice(two times). However, this place never returns the security deposit. Its been more than 3months now since moving out but I still didnt receive my security deposit. Also, they even charged me a full month rent fee for my last month(move out was 19th) and I still didnt receive prorated rent fee as well.

2021-09-23Spring Valley is okay.POS: The neighborhood is quiet and safe! The included parking port was very convenient in the winter months. Neighbors are courteous. The pool area is very relaxing. The management is courteous and timely.NEG: This units are patch-job renovations. If you are expecting something new/freshly updated as portrayed on the website you will be mistaken. The inside of the exterior door frame was filthy, and it was clear they did not wipe down the base boards before painting over. The price is not worth it, especially with the increase in rent.Another huge problem will be pests. You pay for pests control monthly but that will not remedy the problem. I killed bugs 3-4x a week.While this was an okay apartment for the time being, I would not have signed here if I knew these things prior. As a person who works from home and prefers newer homes, this was not ideal.

2021-08-23Worst experience I ever had dealing with them. I called then 8 different times complaining about the AC not working. The maintenance guy comes looks at it says its an old AC and goes. Never gets it fixed. Power bill is around 350+ bcz of this. On an average the temperature inside the hose is around 87-90 during summer. The call if you are due even by a dollar but never gets this dam AC fixed. Worst Worst experience I ever had living in any apartment.

2019-06-17Moved here right after my divorce and at the time the person in the leasing office was terrific. Shortly after she left new management took over and things went down hill. There were constantly noisy neighbors that the leasing office did nothing about. They didn’t want to replace the broken blinds in the second bedroom or the living area until I brought up the fact that if new renters moved in then they would replace the blinds. Rent was outrageous for the size apartment. Maintenance was hit and miss depending on who was working. The only good thing was snow removal which was done before I left for work in the morning. Looks like they have upgraded several apartments and raised the rent considerably on their website. I left due to poor management and high increase in rent. In response to the owner who said management and manager has been the same for years. Not so. The employees who were in the leasing office when I originally rented quit. And a new management company took over per the letter that was issued informing residents of the change. After that no checks were accepted for rent. Renters were forced to submit payments online.

2019-08-20Me and my husband lived here for almost 2 years. Great apartment complex and staff always took care of us, whenever a maintenance issue would arise. The location is perfect and close to everything. Ptosha and Erika are great at assisting with any needs tenants might have. Would definitely recommend to all my friends and family!

2018-09-14The units are fairly nice, mostly renovated and are in a nice location. However, upon move in we had several issues within the first week. One being our entire apartment smelled like cigarette smoke. If I had any children I would of been more annoyed than I was. We called and complained and they offered to put in an ozone machine (we had to be out of the apartment for at least 24 hours right after we moved in). That worked temporarily and it is not as bad as it was but definitely still there. The walls needed to be repainted before we moved in but they obviously were not. Our new neighbor also chain smokes right outside of our front door/bedroom window so when I am trying to air out our apartment on a nice cool night, you get smoke smell coming back in from him smoking. I would NOT recommend this place to someone who doesnt care for smokers/cigarettes and the smell that comes a long with them. Also within the first few days of moving in our water heater and dryer needed to be fixed. I had to take 2 cold showers the first 2 nights of living here. Luckily, both of those issues were fixed within a couple days of me putting in a work order and everyone has been apologetic and friendly to us. I just feel like for as pricey as these units are, this stuff should be checked and maintained BEFORE a new tenant moves in.I dont see why this isnt a smoke free complex or at least be rules about smoking INSIDE or within close vacinity to the apartments themselves.

2019-01-10This is not a good apartment in this area. My parking area is full of ice and I never saw them putting salt. My bedroom temperature is going to 57 while my living room temperature is 73. I created maintenance request 5 times over a period of 45 days. All they do is come and go. Sometimes they don’t even come. For them Heating is not an emergency issue.There are better apartments than this like Independence green etc.At least the team will see this and reach out to me hopefully. I am in building 4.

2016-08-03One of the better apartment complexes in the area. A little pricey, but you get what you pay for. Management is superb. Have not had any major issues other than at move-in with miscommunication when it came to paper work, but everything got taken care of in a timely manner. Maintenance is quick to respond. Neighbors are courteous. Location is great because the freeway is just right there. I do hate that I can sometimes hear the loud speaker from the golf course across the road early in the mornings. I work nights so I sleep in. Some of the light posts do not work either so if you have to take your dog out at night like I do when I get off work, youre limited to where you can walk because some areas are not very well lit. Nevertheless, I feel safe. Other than that, Im pretty content here as Ill be renewing my lease soon!
