Comment: Great hotel! My family and I stayed here over night for an A’s game on Saturday and to go to the Oakland Zoo on Sunday. The room was spacious and up to date! The pool was nice and our 3 year old loved it. Breakfast in the morning was great! Customer service was awesome. 10/10 would recommend

The room was super clean and the staff was wonderful.Only downside is the area, if you are from out of town or local, do not stop to get gas at the Shell or 76 down the street.Its known for robbings. Check Google reviews of the gas station and you will see what Im talking about.The hotel however was Great!

Comment: The rooms are really nice. But there was zero hot water, no matter how we adjusted the shower. And we felt like mice in a maze trying to get to the place - really weird. Maybe worse if all, the dyed-red hair girl at the front desk was very rude. When we asked about the shuttle for the airport, she kept saying, every 20 minutes on the hour. I told her that has no meaning, but she kept repeating it. I finally said, we need to be at the airport at 4:00A, which shuttle do we take? And she answered the 3:20A shuttle. I asked when is the next after that, and she repeated, every 20 minutes on the hour!!. The rest of us in our group looked at each other and snickered. I asked, So, what time would that be? and she gave me a big sigh, a dirty look, and emphasized, 3:40!! Every 20 minutes on the hour!!. Well, anyway, it is every 20 minutes. Forget the hour part. Maybe that is a new, weird California time-keeping rule or something. Did I mention there was NO HOT WATER IN THE SHOWER!! UGH!!!!!

Comment: After staying there we found we were charged an extra $10 for the shuttle although that was not specified anywhere. Then for the restaurant bill of about $87. which we charged to the room, they rounded up the amount we were charged to $90. Weird. I called them and guess they get this all the time. Nice hotel but maybe kind of a ripoff.

Comment: This location is great if you want to stay close to the airport but its not near most other eventful places. They have a security guard that watches the cars at night so that was a plus because all of the rental agencies warned us about break-ins. The room was spotless but me and my friend both got bit on our legs a couple of times at night. There were no signs of bed bugs or anything so were not 100% sure what was biting us.

Comment: The hotel was great, clean and well appointed. The staff at the front desk and bar were wonderful. And the food at the bar is top-notch for a hotel bar. It was actually some of the better food in that whole area around the airport. The location of the hotel is a bit sketchy, but as long as you dont go walking around the street past the Harley dealership you should be fine. I travel for business and I would definitely stay there again.

Comment: This place was fabulous! From the minute we checked in until the minute we left, Springhill Suites treated us like family. Your staff went above and beyond to make sure we had a pleasant and comfortable stay - even granting us a late checkout since we had a previous obligation during normal checkout hours. We loved the nice, clean hotel and the delicious breakfast. Wed definitely stay here again if in the area.

Adham at the front desk is a star, but he is only the beginning. The shuttle drivers, bartenders, other service staff. Everyone is nice, friendly and helpful. When I need to come back to Oakland, I will stay here.

Comment: Great experience with fly and park. We stayed one night, left our car at the hotel for 7 days, and used their shuttle service to go to and from the airport. The parking lot is well lit and has many cameras, and it was very easy to schedule the shuttle. We were warned by a neighboring gas station and restaurant to not leave anything in the car.

Comment: I would say mediocre, only because when I order a suite room I expect somethings to happen in the room like complimentary bottled water, some alcoholic beverages in the fridge I can pay for later.... but it is their policy to not have it in the room. I found that incredibly odd.The location was a bit weird, right down the way from the airport which is nice but it was between a carpenter shop and a motorcycle dealership, not the best to get into either you kind of have to do a u turn from the airport to be able to get into the hotel, not very safe to do either traffic both ways and with California drivers I was certainly nervous.The airport shuttle service was very nice. Really liked this service, it was smooth to get to and from the airport.The area around the hotel is very sad. A lot of vagrants and a industrial part of the city it was all very dirty not very touristie area so there wasnt much to do.The walk to the In-n-out was about 7 minutes not too bad, good sidewalks but everywhere we looked there was fake grass specially near the gas stations. That was new to me.

Comment: Absolutely lovely hotel! Staff was beyond amazing! My friend and I came here after our nightmare stay at the Oakland Executive Airport Hotel across the street (NEVER GO THERE), the staff was able to give us an upgrade on our room as well (please dont harass them if you read this and they dont give you a room upgrade, my friend and I just got super lucky and were very grateful to the staff for doing this) and we have to say this place exceeded our expectations without a doubt! The bartender was nice, lobby and rooms all clean, THE BATHROOM WAS AMAZING! I miss the Lavender shampoo and conditioner already! We even got makeup remover wipes which is honestly like a magic liquid because it did not hurt or sting while taking all my mascara off in like 2 swipes, I definitely asked for more! Theres an old-timey telephone booth in the lobby and its so perfect for pictures! They have charging ports in the lobby as well! When we checked-out, we were able to leave our luggages with the staff while we explored Oakland for a couple hours before our flight, free of charge! We even got a shuttle to the airport and the driver was absolutely sweet and we adored him! Worth the money! The entire experience was 110% amazing! Ive stayed at many hotels before and this one is definitely a memorable one, I will be coming again when I visit for my birthday! And I dont remember her name, I think it was Anetero? She was a sweetheart! Best worker there is!

The TV was positioned in a silly place. It doesnt face the bed or the sitting area. Its like they just stuck it where theres space on the wall. The little market place they have at the lobby mainly sells junk food. Dont they realize theyre in California?

The AC unit didnt work so the room was always between 72-75 degrees. We asked the front desk and they had someone come up to the room to check but that didnt do anything. Comment: I’m here for two weeks for business and my company card had a issue at the front desk when booking my stay. The young ladies were super helpful and got Mgmt to assist me in resolving it. The customer service is truly unparalleled and I personally would like to thank Theodore Garnett for his passion in customer service. It truly makes this place different in Oakland. My room is clean with more than enough living space and amenities to keep me comfortable. Desk for work, wifi, smart tv’s, personal size fridge and microwave oven, you’re set, you got everything you need right here. Oh and if you’re feeling thirsty or want a snack from 4pm-7pm mon- fri go and see Nicole (Nicky) at the restaurant/ full service bar. They have happy hour which is 40 percent off apps and draft beers. Tell her Rob sent you. I used to be in beverage and hospitality myself years ago so i can kinda be particular when dining at places but man i was impressed when i saw Nicky and her staff accommodating a full house and my time dinning there went perfect. Ribeye cooked specifically how i asked, perfect pours on draft, completely topped with courtesy and professional etiquette. I will be staying here from now on when on business. I overheard him speaking poorly about a group of young air stewardess in the lobby . Marriott seems to want to be cheap and not go back to the old styles of breakfast real food its real food. I got a bag Breakfast but I didnt get the bag.. Comment: I absolutely love the service here! All the staff make it a point to make sure youre treated with respect and are very friendly! They even greet you as much as possible to make you feel welcomed! From the shuttle drivers, front desk receptions, the bar, and the housekeeping everyone is so friendly and you really feel like they love having you in their establishment!I was staying at different hotel for 2 weeks before finding this place and am really sad I didnt find this place sooner!The only reason why their rooms got 4 stars instead of 5 is because they have a wonderful walkin closet but 1 thing is missing to make this a complete 5 star establishment. I recommend having full length mirrors somewhere in the room. I think it would go great on the inside portion of the closet door!Thank you for all you do and cant wait for my next visit!

Comment: We were in San Francisco at the Marriott at Fishermans Wharf for several nights. We flew in and out of Oakland and wanted to be closer to the airport the night before our return flight. We didnt expect much, just a comfy bed and a quick bite to eat. WOW ... we were very impressed with this hotel. We are Platinum members and have stayed at all the Marriott brands and this location blows all Springhill suites out of the water. Beds were comfortable, the food fantastic and all employees we came into contact with were very friendly and professional. Marriott at Fishermans Wharf could take lessons and learn a thing or two. It came to the point that i wasnt able to check in and my weekend plans for children and swimming and celebrating birthday for a child was ruined ! Fremont residence inn was able to use gift card even though the young gentleman there also had never entered in a gift card, he called his higher ups and learned how to do the task and it was my birthday weekend that time! Wont ever try to rent at Oakland unless they compensate something for my wasted time! My child was in the car sleeping and ended up not being able to get to a bed until morning! Not there either!!

There is also a train station within a few blocks that will take you to downtown Oakland and to San Francisco.The staff was kind and checked me in quickly. The room was clean and very modern. The bed was very comfortable as were the linens. Everything was clean and seemed pretty new.The staff was wonderful. They helped us out after our car was broken into (smashed rear windshield) and they were just kind and fun the whole stay.I dont have any complaints about this property.It is just 7 minutes to the airport and was close to where I needed to work during the week. It is not near nice places to eat or site see. But there is a good vegetarian Chinese place that delivers (Cozy Wok); the Sichuan street mushrooms were good.Despite the car break in, I didnt feel like I was in any danger in this location. Though, I did choose to run on the treadmill rather than around the neighborhood in the mornings.I would stay again.

Comment: This review is dated April 2021.The property opened in September of 2019, and the room looks to show.The hotel only has five floors.No scenic views, but close to the airport and Alameda Island.According to the hotel staff, all rooms have king sized beds. Either two or one per room.Each room also comes equipped with a microwave and mini fridge.During COVID-19, breakfast is grab and go.The London Bar & Grill is the hotels on-site pub. It was actually opened and the food was good, and reasonably priced. Tried the Angus Burger with waffle cut sweet potatoes fries. The patty was very well seasoned, but the fries were over cooked and came out too crispy.Regarding other amenities, there is one washer and one dryer for the entire hotel.The pool is closed but the fitness center is open 24 hours, with limited capacity of course due to COVID-19.Parking is an additional fee each day, and it’s not covered or gated.The team was friendly, hospitable, and accommodating.The rooms are very spacious.I stayed in a 1 king bed room suite, and it came with a trundle bed and a modest desk.The only area I think was a downer was the bedding. The sheets and comforter weren’t as downy as I would have liked, but then I remind myself that SpringHill Suites is listed as belonging to Marriott’s “select” brand of properties. Which IMO, is a marketing strategy to describe a budget hotel option.So I won’t gripe about the sheets because everything else was great.All in all, if your looking for something comfy, modestly priced, and relatively new, then I’d highly recommend this property.As always, safe and happy travels.

Comment: So, I stayed here a couple of times while on work assignment. You do have to make reservations ahead of your visit due to pandemic restrictions. They are working hard to keep everyone safe, however, no reservations make it much more difficult. The front door opens to a locked inner door and you must pick up the phone to be buzzed in. On the phone the front desk will ask if you have the reservation and only then will you be let in. In my opinion it is a very specific way to limit too many people in the lobby at one time. However, if you are not aware of this, I saw other customers attempting to figure out a remedy, this was problematic for them. I use my smart phone.Anyway, front desk people are always so professional and friendly and I feel very welcome there.I love the shower and large bathroom, being a female this is an important foom for us!Bed, sheets, pillows all comfy! The rooms are all suites with a microwave, small refrigerator and coffee maker.Multiple ports and outlets for all of the tech junkies, yeah I am one. Need my computer, myphone and sometimes more than one phone, etc!So this hotel is quite close to airport, so convenient as well as freeways. I imagine if the other venues were open now it may get unbearably busy in that area, but right now its perfect. I felt welcome. I felt safe and I was comfortable. Hope this helps! MPC

Comment: The staff was great. The room was good as expected. The known security issue for the parking lot is the problem. I paid to park in there parking lot where there are cameras but the staff did warn me about break-ins. I took all valuables out of my vehicle, parked under a light and camera, and my vehicle still was broken into. The staff let me know to fill out a police report on-line. The hotel knows vehicle burglaries are a problem and are doing little to prevent.

Comment: Nice new place to stay.. awesome breakfast..Rooms are nice but parking is not safe. They have a lot of signs that will make you worry about parking your car with them. I did not have the peace of mind paying $12 and parking my car without the assurance that they will try to guard the parking.I am a Gold Elite Member and allowed for a 2 pm late checkout, based on availability. Thus I requested for it and they were very firm not to allow me for a late checkout up to 2 pm for the only reason that I have the employee rate, which is not supposed to be the reason.Ive checked and theyre not very busy yesterday, that means there are definitely a lot of rooms available.But eventually I was allowed to checkout late at 2 pm when I finally complained. The reason to decline late checkout ought to be due to unavailability and nit due to the employee rate status. Frontdesks need to be trained well how with the benefits of the Elite Members and hiw to be an effective Associate. No one even smiled at us and made us feel welcome at the frontdesk when we checked in. But they were nice enough to check us in earler than usualThe lady at the breakfast area is very nice and very helpful.

Comment: We were tired from our flight so it was wonderful to be picked up by Abraham, the shuttle driver. The room was so nice my 5 year old granddaughter wanted to take it home with her! The food at the restaurant was very good as well. Not much options for my daughter-in-law gluten allergy so the waitress offered to bake the sweet potato fried to avoid cross contamination. We had an early flight but our quick breakfast was yummy too.

Comment: Wow what a great experience! This is a great hotel to stay at for an Oakland Raiders Game. Very comfortable beds, and pillows. Rooms are very nice and modern. The breakfast was awesome, eggs, bacon, fruit,oatmeal and allot more. The Airport shuttle was very convenient and the driver was very nice. All the staff were great! Overall a great hotel and would highly recommend it.
