2017-11-09This place is great! So many trails - like the paved Clinton River trail thats over the bridge, and also some natural trails right by the center. We walked the north loop (about 1 mile) and it was just lovely during the fall. Some of the leaves are bigger than your head! There is also a nice play structure, and if you follow the Clinton River Trail to the left instead of going to the right for the North Loop, you will find another play structure. The nature center itself is small, but packed with lots of taxidermy animals and also some live turtles, frogs, snakes, and fish. When you enter there is a nice natural looking path with a live turtle and frogs in a pond. The bathrooms are very clean, and also have different animal footprints painted on the walls. There are puzzles, binoculars, stuffed animals, and other fun things for kids to manipulate in the back near a large window - overlooking a tree with a multitude of bird feeders. We had a wonderful fall day here! We will be back!

2018-04-29We had a birthday party here today. I wasnt sure what to expect but it turned out amazing. Everyone loved looking out the window at all of the different types of birds at the feeder and in the trees. There was even a deer that was hanging out in the woods right behind the center. The kids all had a blast with the scavenger hunt and trying to find all of the creatures in the center. The staff did an AMAZING job with kids during the presentation. We learned about turtles, toads and snakes! All of the kids were so engaged! The parents even learned some interesting wildlife facts! I cant say enough good things about our experience. Thank you to the staff for making our time there so enjoyable.

2021-03-24I took my dog here today. This one is better than the Madison Heights Nature Center. This one takes you all the way to the park in Utica. I will Definitely come back
