Even helping with cleanup in front of my unit. I will only come here because the customer service is phenomenal. He goes above and beyond thats for sure.

The person assisting me was very kind and thorough I felt I received all the information i needed in a short period of time .

Comment: We are very disappointed since Vacaville Self Storage was sold to Star storage. The place is routinely dirty, elevator not working several times and most recently lights out upstairs where our unit is so we can’t see in our unit. I called them only to be told they could not find me in their system and someone will call me. I’ve had the same unit for 15 years. I’m still waiting for a call back after 3 days and still no resolution. No one is ever in the office. There’s only one cart now instead of three for the upstairs unit. It’s looking like there may not be anyone managing this location. Very disappointing service for sure.

Comment: Make sure you read the whole contract. They will not explain everything in it. WHEN YOU VACATE YOU HAVE TO NOTIFY THEM IN WRITING 5 DAYS BEFORE YOU MOVE OUT. Shame on me for not reading everything. This was the first time Ive ever seen this at a storage.They will not prorate any money back to you without this notice. I moved out 3 days into the month. Unit was paid for. Life happens its not always black and white.Update: Storage Star reached out to me, asking me to contact them. I clicked on the highlighted area as instructed. it took me to the Vacaville business where I left a message. Its been a few weeks still havent heard from them.

Comment: We had a storage unit here for two years and never had any trouble. Staff is always friendly and accommodating, property was well kept, and carts were always available for heavy items. They have great deals for new customers and very reasonable prices. We recently moved to a much larger place and no longer had a need for extra storage. Amanda was very nice and made move out simple. Would recommend Star Storage for anyone who is looking into a storage unit.

Comment: Ive had to rent about 5 storage units in my life and honestly this has been the best one. The units are clean and easily accessible, hallways and elevators are big and everything is as advertised or better. My climate controlled unit was absolutely perfect.The customer service is excellent and in a time where every company tries to screw you with crazy contracts that lock you in for months after you leave its nice to work with a company that doesnt do that! Plus they offer a discount for military members which is a nice bonus.

Comment: Very clean and up-kept storage facility. There’s available storage space now especially in the AC controlled units. But at my visit, it appears they are working on the electrical system and no AC was not on. But it gets cold in there especially with Vacaville heat. It’s nice inside.

Comment: Needed to store a piano. My mother chose a unit which are it difficult to place the piano (Old and Heavy). Spoke with Annette who was nice enough to find us a unit which was easier to load. The unit was on the outside so I was expecting it to be roasting inside. To my surprised it was nice and cool and I found out the unit was climate controlled, SCORE!!. Piano stored and unit transferred with no issue. Thanks to Annette we are very satisfied customers.

Additionally, I provided proof of insurance and they continue to charge the extra $10 fee. They continually charge my account for rental fees. I wish the previous owners Don and Tracy where still there.

The tall black gentleman who I assume is new manager seemed to be peeking around a corner at me everytime I turned around. He never did introduce himself. The landscaping is in a state of disrepair. There are broken doors all over. Broken and missing fire extinguishers. Glad I got my stuff out oc there.

We were needing a storage unit and unfortunately, could not find availability in the size we needed and within our budget.I decided to call and give this place a try. I was hesitant at first because the only photo available on Google maps is a house for some weird reason.Anyway, the first time I spoke with Richard, I knew I had made a good decision. He is super nice and beyond helpful. He remembers you, follows through with everything he says he is going to do, and is just very informative.Yeah, this place is in a weird spot because we couldnt find it to begin with. Google or whoever. Lets fix that. If you are needing a storage unit, please consider this place. The units and buildings are very clean, there is a freight elevator and even dollies to transport your things as well. They are in a transition of names/companies but I couldnt recommend them anymore! Or Richard!

Comment: This is one of the few places Ive dealt with that really understand the concept of customer service. Tracie and Don have been nothing buthelpful, informative, courteous. This is my second stint with them after having moved my things out a couple years ago. They were the first place I thought of when I needed to store my things again. Its rare that I would give anyone five stars but I gladly do it for them.Units are clean. I never had any problems with theft, break-ins, etc., nor have i heard of any. You always have a choice who you use and I think this facility is a great choice.

I feel comfortable leaving our stuff here.Update: Its been about a year since Ive rented my unit from Don and Tracy, and I just cant say enough good things about them. I have talked to Tracy several times on the phone, but just met her last week while moving more stuff in and out of the storage unit. She is so nice you wonder how its possible to maintain such a great disposition and yet still deal with the public. I guess when youre married to a fellow Jarhead it pays to accentuate the positive! All kidding aside, Don is great too. In fact, tomorrow hes going to be helping my boys extricate themselves bonehead situation they got themselves into. Thanks Don!
