Comment: Incredible experience! They had a huge range of sizes (5 x 10 was perfect) and most importantly great prices! AJ was absolutely amazing; I’m very grateful for his help moving items, protecting my mattress, and cheerful company every time I came in. Also, while the fact that this facility closes at 6 pm may seem like a negative, this place seals up like Fort Knox; other storage facilities (especially outdoor 24/7 ones) in the area have been reporting break-ins, so that is something to keep in mind.

Theyre pretty expensive, I assume because of the super convenient location, but its worth it for me to have it so close. Spaces are always dry, everyone who works in the office is friendly and on top of it, always plenty of dollies for help schlepping. I highly recommend.

AJ has been extremely helpful finding the right size and price space as well as notifying me when a ground floor unit opened up that I was waiting for. The only improvement would be 24-hr access, but that’s probably not feasible with this building as there is no outside fenced area. OTOH, access is super convenient: just pull right up the loading dock on the street. The location is great too as many tend to be out of the way in industrial areas.

I got a great rate on a huge storage unit and tons of help throughout the process, which was very straightforward.The facility is big, very clean, and has everything you need. Load-in dock, tons of dollies, a huge elevator, and simple layout on each floor. The unit itself was immaculate and feels very secure. From the moment I walked into the store till I checked out she treated me like a old friend. She made sure that my space was set up quick and easy. Also we got to talking because shes just such a warm and genuine person. We talked about hiking and exploring the area, and knowing that I was new to the city gave me helpful pointers about things to do and see. I was really blown away, the kind of customer service she presents is really one of a kind. Everything went great with the storage of my things there were no issues, but if anything did pop up I felt I was in good hands, and it would get taken care of easily and quickly. If you do have to store your things go see Lola you wont regret it.

As soon as I seen her smile, I knew my experience at this store was going to be satisfying. I explained to Lola the size storage I needed. After checking your inventory, she regretfully advised the unit I needed wasn’t available. She listed out the units that were available, but none of those worked for me. She offered to help me search for other storage offices in the area. I have to say, nowadays employees don’t know about customer service etiquette. Lola’s professionalism was exceptional! Comment: UPDATED: Customer service was good but the facilities need an upgrade. After having our stuff there for a month we are moving it because we noticed black mold in our unit. The management showed us 3 additional units on other floors which still had the same black mold. They apologized and assured us that they are fixing the problem but seems to affect the whole facility. Also the modern looking photos of the facility on the website really dont match the interior.ORIGINAL REVIEW:Marisa was very helpful today when we came to tour the facility. She graciously walked us around to see several different sized units. We signed up for a 4x6 unit. So far happy with StorQuest!

I drove 7.5 hrs from So CA to realize I left my storage key back home. Yes, I know, very smart of me. Marisa greeted me as she opened. I explained to her that I needed to move out, but didnt have my key. She verified my acct and then proceeded to go cut lock off. She told me it was her first time doing, yet she acted very professional and like a pro! Thank you Marisa, you went beyond without a hesitation! Im sure its fine on other days, but only go on days AJ is there. Lol.Customer care is integral these days and is often undermet due to poor upper level management. However, you would not know that here ONLY due to the onsite managers personal care. If you cant tell, Im big on supporting small and local business, so like I said, if it wasnt for this particular manager, I would have chosen a completely different company for my storage needs. If he leaves, Ill probably find another place. Its all about the people, not the corporation. Comment: The staff at Storquest Temescal area was wonderful! The employee, who had an awesome purple hair color, helped me figure out which space I needed in terms of size. She even offered to help me carry stuff up to the space, so above and beyond! I gave this place four stars as there is not complete video security of the place in every hallway and the lights were out in the hallway space, making it difficult to see what was in my storage. Other than that it was easy to back in and off load and use their dollys to load my stuff and store it. Id use them again. Price was what I expected.

As for the site, its clean and well-kept, no sign of animal or element-damage. I think the only considerations here is whether you have more time vs. budget, renting on any upper floors will require a little patience in managing the lift (ensuring both door/gates are fully closed for the next person on another floor) and acquiring or requesting for an available hand-truck/cart, as you might find yourself at odds with a less-considerate moving company or storage-laden renter.

I had to move my belongings to a storage space to make more room in the house and decided to reserve a space through their online website. I received a call from AJ and was advised to come check the space out to see if it fits my needs. Definitely glad I did because the original space I had reserved would not had fit anything.A few days later, we moved our items and and I just have to say, AJ was not only friendly but he was super helpful. We were having a little bit of trouble moving our bigger items and AJ literally helped us move the bigger items into the storage without any hesitation. Without him, we would have been stuck there trying to get everything in.I would definitely recommend anyone who is looking for for a storage space to go to StorQuest.

When I first moved here, I detested that mammoth building (seemingly so out of synch with the small 1- and 2-story homes surrounding it), and I harbored a secret wish for it to magically disappear.My attitude changed dramatically when I got to know AJ, their long-term manager. AJ is a wonderful person and a great neighbor. I’ve enjoyed interacting with him over the years.Recently, I’ve had a second opportunity to patronize StorQuest and to work with AJ in securing a storage unit for a brief period of time. This has only served to confirm and magnify my positive feelings about AJ. He’s kind, friendly, professional and very helpful.I no longer curse the existence of that giant StorQuest building on my block. Instead, I feel happy and grateful for it’s presence here – all because of AJ’s admirable work ethic and super warm, pleasant demeanor.I guess I should also mention the fact that the interior of the building is clean, well lit and generally in very good condition. So I feel safe when I’m there loading things in or out, and I feel safe leaving my belongings there. (I’m sure AJ has a lot to do with this too!)That AJ has shifted my feelings about the StorQuest building from negative to positive is nothing short of a miracle. I really hope his employers treat him well. They’re lucky to have him!

Comment: I love the loading dock, the carts, and the elevator size. The space is pretty clean, too. The staff seems pretty friendly, too. The only downsides are the limited hours (closes at 6) and that the hallways are a little narrow. Still navigable, but requires a bit of maneuvering to get the bigger things in. Overall, the move-in is pretty easy.

The Shattuck Avenue location is perfectly located near a BART station for easy access for her. AND I couldnt be happier with the service we received. AJ went above and beyond to ensure I was taken care of, and was friendly and personable to boot!The surrounding area is slightly sketchy, but I feel comfortable and confident that my belongings are safe, which is really important to me. Decent security measures are in place. Hours are somewhat restricted, making it moderately difficult to make spontaneous trips if you have a typical 9-to-5, so be sure to plan ahead!The building itself is decently maintained; not once has anything obstructed my ability to move items to/from my unit. There seem to be plenty of hand carts available, regardless of the time of day, and the hallways are kept clear.All in all, I am definitely recommending this specific location to friends and family in the future.

I chose them because of the convenient location - from the freeway and my familys house - and Im very happy with my choice. After a long day of moving out, cleaning, and then driving back to Oakland it was a real relief to have such an easy move into the storage locker. I bought a lock that fit on site, I packed up the carts available, took the elevator upstairs and moved in. Very simple process.Mr. Ferreira, the property manager, was incredibly friendly, professional and coordinated my storage unit efficiently. He also gave me $1 for the first month! Id recommend this storage option to anyone.

Comment: During a slightly horrible day: moving a recently deceased family members belongings, the bank making my wife cry, the moving service arriving so late it nearly spoiled our kids Halloween... one of THOSE days... the management at StorQuest was a bright spot. Not only did they take care of the basics: making sure we had a unit that would really work for us, trying to secure us a good deal, the works... they also were just NICE. AJ offered to show us this crazy old storage unit that is built like a bank vault, he made jokes, he helped out. Customer service that is actually just solid decent human interaction can feel rare, particularly on bad days. And who expects it at a storage place of all locations? Not us, but we really appreciated it. Two thumbs up, and then some.

Comment: I could not recommend this place more wholeheartedly!! I was under an unbelievable amount of pressure the week that I had to move - I found Storquest through Uhaul. AJ, the property manager, helped me rent a 10 foot moving truck for the same day within just a few minutes. A few hours later, it was equally easy to swing by and pick it up. AJ even waited a little bit for me to get there. I had some issues with the truck that could have been really problematic for me, but AJ and everyone at Storquest was extremely supportive and generous in helping me with it, and went way beyond what I could have expected from them. It made an otherwise hellish week human again. I almost never post reviews but I feel that its important to acknowledge great service when you receive it.Its very rare in the modern era to find business people who genuinely care about the customer and actively work for your interests. I highly, highly recommend Storquest - its obvious that even though theyre very busy, AJ and the rest of the team really cares and will do whatever they have to to make sure youre taken care of. Moving sucks and I could not have handled it without their support.

Comment: I recently had an immediate need to store all of my stuff (lease was expiring and could not find an apartment in time in this insane SF rental market), with not a lot of time to get everything moved. I called the number and was helped right away by Naomi, got my reservation for the next day and was all set. Next day I was stuck in a major traffic jam with all of my stuff and was in danger of not making it to the 6pm closing time! I called and the manager AJ not only stayed open an extra 15-20 minutes to make sure I got in, he also helped me load all of my stuff into the unit. Cant say enough about this place, definitely saved my arse. Keep up the good work!

Comment: I was helping a friend move out of his apartment (as all horror stories begin)and it was turning out to be pretty horrible. By the time we got to StorQuest we were extremely tired and annoyed. Unfortunately, my friend unknowingly got a 6 by 6 by 6 (with shelves). We had furniture to store -__-. Luckily, the manager took pity on us and offered us a bigger storage space, with no shelves, and he threw in a lock. He cut us a good deal. Thank you kind stranger.
