It was different. It had two arena. The one we were in had a top part where u sat at the window. It had a row of bat stools to sit on. So get there early if u sit there. If u watch on the bottom where the glass is at there is no seats. You must stand to watch. So if ur a person who needs to sit get early and sit on top. Bathrooms at each in. Woman at one and men at the other. They have hot dogs pretzels and snacks, drinks. Dress warm if ur by the glass. Hope u have a good game.
My 9 year old just finished up his last year of honey baked ham might hockey and I can honestly say this will be our first and last year to ever play in this league couldnt tell you who my sons coach was because he never introduced himself there is no team atmosphere kids just get dressed in whichever locker room they want the only time the kids learn anything is when Coach Cal the black haired general manager or a heavyset blonde headed girl are on the ice the rest of the time the coaches stand around BSing with each other or are playing on their cell phones my has learned more from his lessons at puckmasters in 2 months then he has in 7 months at this place save your $900 and find someplace else
Suburban has two ice surfaces and is a major contributor to youth hockey in the metro Detroit area. Programs like learn to skate for free, Learn to play hockey for free and one I like is Girls learn to play hockey for free. Suburban has all the equipment necessary for the young all stars. What a great way to try one of the worlds greatest sports - For Free. Kudos to Suburban for their contribution to youth hockey and bring young players into the game.

2021-10-17Not a bad older rink to host tournament games. It was off the beaten path for us not used to the area and parking was scarce to say the least. The facility was definitely an older set up and seems to be the norm in Farmington Hills, but it worked out well for our team. The facility was very clean and they ran it well. The locker rooms were larger than some of the other rinks which helps when dealing with high school kids.

2022-03-28Amazing rink! Brand new workout building state of the art! The Home of the mighty HB AAA hockey program and the House of the legendary Romo!

2021-12-18Enclosed upper area to watch from is nice. But standing around the rink is difficult because the rink is elevated compared to the area around it.Nothing open on a Friday, concessions or hockey store. Probably due to covid and employees. Be nice to get skates sharpened and a pretzel.

2019-03-24Great two sheet ice rink with large locker rooms and good pro shop. Concession stand for snacks and the parking is decent but detached parking lots help in busy times.

2022-02-23Really have had a great experience with Suburban Ice Farmington Hills, specifically with our kids skating lessons.Hockey program is really great - Cal is terrific as the lead for the program and keeps kids engaged.

2021-06-11Clean rink, decent price, nice amount of time, friendly staff, sanitary locker rooms, smooth ice, a lot of pucks, nice quality glass and nets, and pretty roomy. Overall, no complaints.

2017-11-06Suburban hockey school is great! My kids have done many clinics here. Great instructors and coaches. Least favorite thing about the rink is sitting behind the glass away from the action. We visit this rink several times in the season for games and its always clean, staff is friendly, great rink. Weve also been to a birthday party here. Was a great option and everyone had a great time.

2021-11-22I went to watch my grandson play hockey, nice but a little bit chilly.

2021-10-31It was the absolute worse ice arena around. No place to sit on ground level and barely room upstairs to watch game through glass. No concession stand either.

2019-02-15Great two sheet ice rink. Their Web site is updated to show what or who is using the ice. Public skating times are also posted there, so do check the schedule prior to dropping by as they have many organized leagues who have ice times.
