I had an awkward experince tonight at the onyx, after my game ended i noticed one of the managers severely berating the girls working in the concessions stand, he was clearly upset and made a scene in front myself and other customers. Many people found it disturbing as well, overall i felt bad for those girls as one of them was sobbing. I had hoped for better at a place like this and i will be reconsidering if ill be returning.

2022-06-28Ive been playing Ice hockey here for several years now and have joined a few open skates. Staff is always friendly and ice conditions are near perfect.

2017-10-08Another great ice arena. We always love playing here. My son says they have very nice ice and the corners are always clean. The snake bar is good and the staff is awesome. Also the pro shop has anything you might have forgotten at home.

2021-09-24Miss the old name. The arena itself is nice enough. 3 NHL-sized rinks. Ice is pretty well maintained for the most part. The facilities themselves could use a few updates but maybe the new ownership will do that.

2018-06-27Nice ice arena. Hockey and figure skating are sone here. They also have open skating and you can have parties here also. Plenty of waiting space. They have a concession stand for snacks and beverages. The drinks are kept up.

2019-04-12I absolutely love this place. I cant skate but I will never quit trying. I come here with my work some times and it is one of my favorite places. Very clean quiet and peaceful. The staff and people have been extremely friendly and non judgemental! Just an overall great experience! I would recommend to all my friends and family and even younger kids who would like to ice skate!

2020-03-10Nice place to take kids for skating. Reasonable rates. But sometimes during public skate it gets too crowded and not much space to do skating. It would be really helpful if they opened another rink. Just a suggestion.

2014-03-09The onyx is great. We have 2 children and the experience has been great. The coaches and activities are awesome. The facilities are well designed and just a great place for your kids to learn or practice skating / hockey. I was compelled to rate the Onyx as I saw it only rated 3.8 out of 5.0. We use many locations and partake in a good number of activities and just dont see how it could be much better without making it crazy expense. I would say this is at least 4.8 not 3.8.

2017-09-07I was watching C level hockey at rink one. It was cold in the stands but you are next to the ice so it was expected. Minor hockey smell but that is hard to remove between games. Over all it was very nice. I do wish the parking lot was brighter rather then the localized spots of light.

2021-01-18Best ice in Michigan. Rink almost always runs on schedule. Tom runs balanced leagues. The arena is the cleanest rink around and that is super important during these times.

2015-06-24Three really nice rinks with good locker rooms. Rest of the facility is nice too. Staff is great except for the director of adult hockey. Good luck ever getting him to call you back.
