Very easy to schedule an appointment online, friendly and helpful service where the entire team greets you with a smile. The shuttle service is also very helpful to have service completed during work hours. If you do need to wait the lounge is comfortable with a good variety of refreshments and media.
This was by far the easiest experience I have ever had in purchasing a vehicle. Krista and Aimee made everything as smooth as could be, and were helpful and answered all of our questions. We would highly recommend both of them if you are looking to purchase a vehicle.
I would have left a five star review except for one incident, which I’ll tell later. First, I pulled up to the wrong garage (your old center) and was told by a very kind man that I was at the wrong building. He carefully explained where it was that I needed to go, and even met me over there later to see that I had made it there (thank you for that!). Then I waited…and waited to even be recognized by the intake service person. He never did. But I did get to hear about his vehicles and vacation. Eventually I was spotted by another intake person and he helped to check me in. His service was great. I must say, however, that I was seconds of leaving after not being recognized for so long, prior to the 2nd young man intervening. From my car’s perspective, all it’s needs were addressed in a professional and thorough manner.
It is a challenging new car market these days for buyers and dealers. We had a very good experience with Sunshine Toyota getting our new 2022 Camry SE Hybrid. Already seeing 50+ mpg we can understand why Toyota hybrids are in such demand. Our sales rep Justin S. was extremely easy to work with and upfront about options and potential wait times for certain models. Hard to beat Toyotas warranties and included service on todays incredibly sophisticated cars. Also worth noting the Camry is one of the most American made cars on the road! This was a another excellent experience sunshine Toyota make sure I keep running, their customer service is above reproach. Kortney was able to get me in if I could leave my car all day which was convenient for me also, they took me home and gave me a ride back to the dealership. Just when you think good customer service is gone, you find an amazing Service department that is customer centered. Work done as promised and even extra effort to diagnose a loose license plate that was causing an annoying noise. Not many service reps at the desk would’ve even took the time to look at it again and Kortney was able to fix it herself. I thought it was a blown speaker because of the rattling. Great experience as always with Toyota
Work with Justin S. He was great. Always responsive. The best part of the whole thing was pretty much doing it remote. Sent my credit info over the internet, he had everything ready when I walked in. Was there 10 minutes. Signed on the line and was off.They also gave me a VERY generous amount for my trade in that made it almost impossible to say no.Thank you again Justin and the Sunshine Team!
They charged me $76 to remove my license plate from the back. Ridiculous. Let me start from the beginningEveryone was super friendly for the most part. I love the inside of the building, very clean/well maintained. I took my 22yo 4runner in for just an oil change and asked if they can run me up a quote for diagnostics(check engine light on but I already know what the code is) and valve cover gaskets. As Im waiting I realized I wasnt able to remove the 2 screws from my rear license plate, they were pretty rusty, and asked if they could pop it off for me. The service advisor said she will let the guys know and told me it would be an additional $55 if they break the screws and have to drill them out. So I said thats fine.. understandable I guess. Well when the runner was close to being finished a tech came out and started going over everything with me. I was confused as to why I was getting all this other info so I asked if they ran the code, which I didnt want done, and he said yes. He also said he was able to get the plate off the back without breaking the screws but that he was going to ask for 30 minutes of his time because it took some elbow grease to do it. He also mentioned its not really worth dumping that much money into my vehicle because its so old and most of his guys in the shop are younger than the truck itself so it would be quite the task to work on it. It should go without explanation, but I love my old runner and Ill continue to put money into it till Im able to afford a new one. When I was being rung up, by a different advisor, I told her I didnt want the full diagnostics today, just a quote with my oil change. She was nice and took the rest off. I ended up paying $188 for a full synthetic and the plate removal. So labor time per hour must be around $150 if they charged me $76 for 30 minutes to remove 2 screws. They were all nice and I enjoyed walking around the classics in the showroom but I dont think Ill be returning.
Took my Toyota Tundra to Sunshine Toyota on dickman rd. on 5-4-2022 to fix an issue with the brake lights blowing fuses. Ater 3 hours and $220.00 later they said they fixed the problem. They rewired the area underneath on the frame, and repaired the frame that was causing the issue. Said frame was a little rusty, but this would hold for awhile. But last year when they did the brake lines that guy told my husband that the frame was in great shape. But today 5-10-2022 the brake lights are not working again. My husband called the service department and they said they would have to charge us again, because they dont work for free. So we are out 220.00 dollars, so this is not standing behind their work. I so very very disappointed in the service department team. We will not buy our next Toyota Tundra from them or our next Camry. I will be telling friends and family. Very bad experience.
Took my truck to Belle Tire the week before and was told they think it was a broken piece with the seatbelt but seatbelt works. So the day I took it down to Sunshine Toyota, Travis told me 55 to look at and 100 to fix. So I told him what the other place told me, I said but I know you will find what’s wrong and fix it for me. 10:30 that morning Travis called and said he needed my Verbal permission before fixing. By noon he called again it’s done. They tighten bolts down and no more rattle. 😁 thanks I can now drive it without hearing that rattling sound. Just wait until I lay into the other place. Thanks again Toyota.🙏🙏
Randy DiBiaggio went above and beyond in selling my mother her RAV4. My mother is older and it is difficult for her to travel long distances. Randy made arrangements so we could still complete the transaction.Randy made sure everything was in order with the car even catching a small problem and had it fixed quickly so we could pick up the car as planned. Randy even came in on his day off to handle the transaction.
My Grandmother is 90 she bought a brand new battery for them and has had several problems since purchasing. my grandmother took the battery back and told them the problems she was having they did take the battery check it out and said if she had any more problems they he would replace. so after a couple months the battery left my 90 year old grandmother stuck. my mother and I took the battery back to them and they told us they have to run and check and if the battery doesnt test bad they cant replace. so they kept her car for two days they did give her a rental to drive a d that was nice but they told her that they cant replace battery because it did not have bad test. sunshine Toyota gave her a battery charger to keep on her battery when not in use. I didnt recommend any to buy there batteries why would u tell a 90 women to keep this on her battery ? basically they dont stand behind there product when it comes to there batteries very nice people good customer service 👍 but what they did to my grandmother was wrong they should have replace the battery and they wouldnt and still havent they gave a her a free battery charger to keep on her battery when not in use I never heard of no one doing this bad business.
Tyler, Justin, and the whole team have been great in helping me find a car and today I finally found the one! Tyler made sure that all of my questions were answered and that I was all set with everything and knew all the steps before leaving. He even worked with me on a day to pick up my new vehicle to work around my schedule. Everyone at Sunshine Toyota was fabulous and have been since day one! Thank you!!Sadly, I have to update my reviews and drop Sunshine to 3 from 5. Though the team inside helping find and buy cars is great, the service team not so much.Travis was very short and seemed annoyed. He gave me a quote at the beginning that seemed to be excessive for 50k service, but sure. Then comes in later and says I need filter changed, I figured since they already took them out, it could not be that much more. When I went to pay it was $100 for 2 filters. Next time I will go to auto zone or a local shop where price gouging and unkind service is rare in my experience.
This is a very nice show room. I like the green off road four wheeler.The snack bar and drink station is nice...and lounge area to wait as your loan is going through is very comfortable.It us clean and neat... Bathrooms are clean stocked like home.Overall a sweet place to shop for a new or used set of wheels
Unfortunate. Sunshine Toyota Service department has always been 5 Stars in the past. I left every visit knowing me and my vehicle were safe, well cared for, informed and valued as a repeat customer.Those special customer touches were gone this time. I left actually questioning if I should move my vehicle care and Purchases to another dealershipThose Special Touches markedly absent on this visit*WAIT TIME: I waited nearly 1 1/2 hours for what amounted to tire rotation engine filter change and fluid check***In the past if wait time was > 45 minutes+/- A service Associate found me in waiting area to apologize and let me know approximately how much longer The wait may have still been long. But this made it all OK*CHECK OUT : Always in the past the Service Associate reviewed the checklist with me; highlighting anything that was less than perfect(Green) with information and recommedations for future maintenance. None of that this time. I had to specifically ask about each item. It was quite clear that my questions were received as an annoyance. The Associate did recognize her curt replies to my questions and attempted to check her tone. Still it continued with me having to ask multiple questions to get to an answerThese small but important customer care services may seem minor but my vehicle and safety are important to me When I can get the same lack of customer appreciation at Freds Fuel n Fix its time to start questioning the relationshipIm not leaving yet. Everyone deservesa second chance. However if quality of customer support does not return to previous high levels it may be time to move on. My very sincere wish is not to have to make that choice
If I could give them no stars I would. Took my 2017 Camry in for an oil change service with an appointment. They were busy so I asked how long and I was told 1 hour, 1 1/2 hours tops. Several customers came and went after me during that two plus hours I ended up waiting. I asked for full synthetic. In the end they sold me conventional. Then to pour salt in the wound all the other customers had their cars brought up to the drive through bay when their service was finished. I had to ask where mine was then was told its out back. So I had to walk around in their back forty looking for my car in the rain. Thanks sunshine, Ill never be back.
I brought my car in for the 60,000 mile warranty check, an alignment check, and for a new key fob. I was called and the rep said I also need a new water pump and I approved that work. When I came to pick up the car the water pump was complete but I had no documentation that the 60,000 mile warranty check was done, that the alignment check was done, and I did not get a new key fob! When I asked why I didn’t get a new key fob they said ‘we got you a new key.’ I said well I wanted a new key fob. The service rep was extremely frustrated at my request. At the same time I noted there was no documentation of the 60,000 mile warranty inspection nor of the alignment and I had to ask for that to be completed too. This caused more frustration on the part of the service rep. However neither was my fault, the work wasn’t documented as I requested. I’ve come to Sunshine Toyota many times in the past 10 years for service work and it is usually very good. This time was the exception.
The customer service at Sunshine Toyota is excellent, the best Ive encountered in the 50 years Ive owned a car. Courtney in the service department made a good impression the first time I called. When I brought my car in, I watched her manage multiple tasks & people in a calm efficient manner. I needed to get an appraisal on an estate car & everyone who helped me was knowledgeable and kind. I highly recommend this dealership.
Sunshine Toyota was excellent with everything I needed for my three year lease. All of my regular maintenance was covered in my lease, oil changes, tire rotation, etc. I decided to buy my car at the end of my lease. The loan process and customer service was exceptional. They took care of all the hassle of title work and registration. A few signatures and we were out the door. I was very satisfied with my experience with this team🙂

First of all ,it felt like you were walking into a very warm and friendly atmosphere everybody was welcoming and very helpful. I knew what I wanted right away and they were very helpful and finding the vehicle I wanted. They did not try to upsell anything or give me anything I did not want. it did not try to talk me into another car the other thing was Jesus was the one who was my salesman but one day he was not there and the other salesman stepped in with no problem to try to help me out I would highly recommend and I will be going there again for my next car.
The car buying experience was great at Sunshine Toyota. The process to buy my 2021 Tundra was smooth from first contact to drive-off. Krista my salesperson was excellent with communication and transparent feedback. Made my family feel at home, and valued our time. Would definitely purchase again from this dealership.

Which is real important because dealerships have that name sorta.They gave me exactly what I needed with my not so good credit score. I am very pleased with my recent auto purchase with Sunshine Toyota! Although my sales agent was nearing his last days of employment with Sunshine Toyota during my car buying process, he along with the Business Manager Steve and Justin professionally and expertly handled my transaction attentively to the very end. They took the time to ensure I received the lowest possible interest rate and serviced the vehicle before turning it over to me, plus more! Justin even worked and communicated with me on his day off to keep me abreast of the expectations and what was needed to pickup my vehicle right away. No haggle no pressure just friendly & honest customer service. Although I can drive 3 miles to the Toyota dealership near me, I choose to drive 27 miles because of the courteous customer service they displayed when I first got stationed here. I work with Courtney at Sunshine, she is knowledgeable, informed, and knows exactly what needs to be done, and to to deliver the results I expect from a dealership. Overall they do a fantastic job, have worked with their neighboring dealership in the past, Spartan, and Sunshine Toyota is Night and Day better as a service and sales provider.
Excellent customer service, staff answered all questions and concerns. This was my first time working with a dealership, and they did not fit the stereotype of being pushy. My used car was detailed very nicely, and no major repairs have come up. I would recommend to anyone.
Lol. just bought a lightly used toyota. warranty was up 2 weeks ago. of course the window switch stops working. took them two hours to figure out it the was switch. (which i told them right off the bat) then they quoted me a total of $500+ to fix it. i swear to god there is no integrity with these big companies anymore. just screw people over for shareholder profits.
I had a outstanding experience at Sunshine Toyota. Tyler assisted me while I purchased my vehicle and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Tyler was friendly and communicated with me throughout the week, making sure I had all the information needed to buy my car. The vehicle I bought was in excellent condition, affordable, and it was everything I was looking for and more. The employees here are friendly and truly want to help find you a vehicle, without pressuring you. I was extremely impressed with Michelle and Tyler and how accommodating they were as I went through the process! I was offered something to drink while I waited. Everything was so organized and professional and they had various individuals who specialized in their particular function at each step of the process.The registration for my current car was due next month and the person who dealt with the financing told me that he would take care of registering my new car right there and the tags would be sent to me directly.I was also told that I would have towing and roadside service, along with a free rental car, included as part of my purchase! When the call was made to my insurance company, those items were removed from my current policy and my premiums for this newer car went down!Tyler was very personable and I felt his honesty right from the beginning but that feeling continued to strengthen as time went by. The big issue that really sold me on him was that at the very end when I was going to drive away with the car, a very rare issue was discovered regarding a sensor that needed to be replaced and he looked me in the eye and apologized and shook his head and told me that he wasnt going to send me home with that defect and arranged for a loaner with the understanding that the new sensor would be ordered and installed.Ive already let him know that Im a very grateful customer! Im so glad that I stumbled upon Sunshine Toyota during my online research!
Purchasing a used Toyota Highlander from Sunshine Toyota could not have been easier. My salesman, Bill Plane, was friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and seemed truly interested in my needs for the type of vehicle I purchased. I never felt rushed or pressured and everything was explained to me clearly and patiently.I made the purchase and feel that I received a very nice vehicle for a very fair price. This is the second vehicle I have purchased from Sunshine Toyota and would not hesitate to look there first for my next vehicle.Great staff of folks there from sales to service to finance.
Tyler was great…as was Michelle who was prompt with contacting me when I first started checking on cars. For the sale itself…again Tyler was very helpful and the whole process was very smooth. I was pleased with everything and especially appreciated that I didn’t feel pressured in any way.
Had trouble financing through my bank because I didnt have enough lines of credit open; however, my credit was perfect along with my income and toyota worked with me to help me get my first car all on my own without a cosigner!! Im not saying this is how it is for everyone but I am saying that they look out for you!
I bought a beautiful 2011 Toyota Camry here this past weekend. Aaron was super helpful and showed me a few other cars within my budget when the car I went to see had unfortunately been sold after closing the night before.I was able to test drive the car and at no point felt pressured to buy it or any of the extra options.Aaron was able to answer all of my questions and was very friendly and professional the whole time, without being pushy.As this was my first experience applying for an auto loan (bought from a dealership before, but never with a loan involved), I was a little apprehensive, but everyone who helped me was incredibly friendly, professional, and helpful, and they were able to get me a fantastic rate on my auto loan.5 stars, great experience. Would definitely buy a car from them again.
I had an absolute amazing experience here. Zach took really good care of me. When I first arrive just to test a few different suvs, as that is what I wanted to look at purchasing, I was kindly greeted at the door and introduced to Zach Brown. I gave him a list of features I specifically wanted and the price I wanted to max at. He knew of a few right off the get go that would fit what I wanted. He didnt push any specific vehicle but let me choose what fit me and what didnt. After test driving two different vehicles, I found one I liked but wanted to check other places to see what they had. I was not pressured to make the purchase then just was told vehicles can go at any time.After trying other vehicles and places, my hubby and I decided on the Nissan they had for sale at Sunshine Toyota. Of course when I called on Monday to let Zach know we were interested in purchasing the vehicle and wanted a sit down to go over price he was happy to oblige. I went armed with lots of research I had done online for this type of car. Needless to say Zach and the sales manager really worked to get the vehicle close to what I would be willing to pay and still be competitive with other dealers. He even printed a sheet to show pricing of the same vehicle within a 100 mile range just to prove their pricing was a great price already.He worked really well with my schedule, and worked to get the best loan pricing, and even stayed past closing time on the night I wanted to sign just to make sure I could get this vehicle along with the sales manager ( sorry cant remember her name but was really happy with her help as well).In my opinion I received 10 star treatment not just 5. I would recommend Sunshine Toyota to anyone now and especially Zach for all your vehicle needs. I have found also that this amazing treatment didnt end when I signed the paperwork. I get car washes done by Zach personally plus they had a loaner car ready the day I was to get something fixed from when I initially decided on my vehicle so I could still get to work and back.Great Job Sunshine Toyota!! You have a new lifelong customer!
Just bought a gorgeous Certified Pre-Owned 4RUNNER from Sunshine Toyota in Battle Creek, MI! This makes our fourth Toyota from this dealership... and we love the Sunshine Toyota Team! Toyota quality gets us in the door, then Randy in sales treats us like friends, (no pressure or games,) to find exactly what we want.Dave and Courtney and the whole service team keep us coming back! Fantastic service after the sale!This is a great place with friendly service as excellent as the engineering in the vehicles! We’ll be back!
We purchased a 2017 Yukon xl to pull our boat. After having it for 29 days I was stuck at a grocery store with my small children while my car wouldn’t start. After attempting to get it started, we had it towed back to sunshine Toyota where it was purchased. They told us they would get it looked at early that morning so we could potentially have it back to tow our boat. They didn’t get to it, so we asked if they would have something we could use to pull the boat with, and they said no. Then after they inspected it, they said it was the starter. Apparently when you buy from them, they have a 90 day, 3000 mile warranty. We were never provided papers on what was covered, so we asked them to check to see if the starter was covered before we paid the $500 it was to replace it. They told us they would check and get back to us. They never did, so we called and they said it wasn’t covered. My husband went in to pay and get our car, and he asked for a print out of what’s covered so we have it for future reference, and listed on the sheet was the starter. They were going to have us pay for something that was covered. They didn’t care enough to actually check if it was covered since we weren’t provided the papers. That being said, we have now had the car for about 2 months and my car is in the shop again..... $1500 to fix the air conditioner, my check engine light is on, and my parking assist needs to be serviced and fixed. So moral on the story, to not go there!!!! $42,000 on a car, and they have yet to prove they were worth the service!!!!!

They unlocked my steering wheel but left my car unlocked all night outside! Someone had gone through my glove boxes and threw stuff all over the front area. My first aid kit was opened and in the front area also taken from my backseat holder! They blamed the tow truck driver! They told me my back wheels were locked from my emergency brake being seized up, not true either. They wanted over 300 bucks to tear the emergency brake apart and possibly replace the cable! No thanks never again I say as I am driving home from Hillsdale!
The staff is very friendly and helpful. They gave me a very good deal on my trade in and were able to find the new 4Runner I wanted. They had good precautions in place due to the coronavirus which made me feel safe. This is the second vehicle I have bought from Sunshine Toyota and I would definitely recommend them to family and friends!
I was looking for a van for my business and found their website , when I left a number for them to contact me , Aaron responded quickly, their located 100 miles from my home so we did everything on the phone and internet, they have a very nice website with pictures and video of the van , I wasnt sure of one photo so Aaron took more pictures and sent them .I was so confident about the condition of the van and all the info and history of the vehicle, that I went to the bank ,got the check and made an appointment to look at it.I couldnt be more happy with the vehicle and my experience with Sunshine Toyota.👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Worst service Ive ever received. Windshield cracked 3/4 the way down upon picking my vehicle up and dealer wont take responsibility. Not even worth my time dealing with such a horrible Certified dealer. Customer service rude when I tell them my windshield is cracked. Will never come again and will tell everyone I know never to get service from sunshine Toyota Battle Creek. 0/10
Still a good place but questionable when you ask a question anout your vehicle and they assure you everything is good then you take it in for a service and they counterdict what they have said and tell you that there are parts that are damaged but you question it because you know the sounds of what they claim went wrong and there has mever been those sounds.
Great dealership. They take good care of our family vehicle and mine when I need it. Seems to be a good selection of Toyotas at reasonable prices. Will be one of our first stops when we start car shopping again. Their service is prompt and reliable.....just like Toyota vehicles are. Highly recommended.Edit: had a bit of a rough spot on maintenance which was disappointing. The part worth reviewing is that they were willing to help make it right. Will be returning in the future.
A great dealership with a nice selection of cars and a wonderful and dedicated sales staff. A nice and easy to use/navigate website as well. The most straightforward car shopping and buying experience Ive ever had. This is a car dealership where they genuinely care about the service they provide and the cars they sell.
We went to Sunshine looking for a sporty Toyota 4runner. We saw on the web site that they had a few. We walked the lot for 20 min looking for one and we only saw one white one in the back. No one came to help us and a few sales people went and greeted people that were in dress clothes, I guess ripped jeans and an acdc shirt doesnt cut it. I called to ask where all the 4 runners were and the woman on the phone was Very nice and gave me the information I needed. I left, went to Battle Creek Toyota and got a Toyota 4runner Limited and then ordered a roof basket.
Aaron was great to work with. I found my car posted online and Aaron responded quickly to schedule appointment for test drive. His knowledge is phenomenal. He has excellent customer service and is not pushy ... he’s good about pointing out important points to consider though. I highly recommend seeing Aaron at Sunshine Toyota!

I have been taking my leased car to Sunshine Toyota for all the maintenance over the years with my last 2 cars so I was coming up on the end of lease. Decided to see what they had to offer. They where great and now I have a new Camry. I just love it. Everyone there is just so helpful Toyota Bill was great. The young man who went out in the rain to drive the car in so I could get my stuff out of my car. Thank you all.
John was excellent to deal with!! Especially since we wanted to test drive multiple vehicles. The actual trade in and purchase was probably the best experience we’ve had buying a vehicle. He gave us an excellent price on our trade in and discounted the purchase vehicle. There was no haggling back and forth.We will definitely give them more business.....Thank you..
We worked with Krista to purchase our newest vehicle and I can say the experience was fantastic! It was smooth and I felt comfortable with her and my purchase. The vehicle was fairly priced and we were given thorough details on the vehicle’s history and were walked through how to use all the new (to us) technology in the vehicle. I will definitely consider purchasing from them again.
Justin was very good to work with...he handled our many questions with patience and professionalism. The dealerships team did offer all the extras (extended warranty, sealant, rustproofing), which was not unexpected, but it was done in a respectful manner, and they did not push us repeatedly when we declined. The dealership had 4 out of the 5 advertised vehicles we were interested in available on their lot, so they dont seem to use bait-n-switch tactics like some other dealers do. They allowed us to test drive cars by ourselves (we did not want someone in the car with us due to covid virus risk) and without signing a liability waiver (not an option because our insurance does not cover test drives). They also provided copies of the Toyota Certified inspection report, emailed pricing to us in advance of our appointment, and there were not any surprise fees tacked on. The staff at Sunshine Toyota is amazing! They are always friendly and accommodating. Dave in the service department is such a great customer relationship builder. He always greets us by name and shows that he cares by engaging in meaningful conversation, checking in on family and work. I sent an email ( on a Saturday) requesting to test drive a car, she was very responsive right away , set up an appointment for Monday. By Wednesday I was driving a my new Rav 4. Thank you again. Had to come here for a recall fix. Scheduled time, and they estimated 1-2 hours. After waiting 2 hours they told me they didnt have the parts.Later I missed a call after 2 rings, and got no message. Still nothing a couple days later.I can understand miscommunications about the parts but the 2 hours to figure it out was very wasteful of my time.
The actual service was performed well. The first person to greet me was professional and everything went smoothly. When I returned the gentleman was apparently on break or lunch, so I worked with the lady at the front desk. She hurried me through the payment, not stopping to explain some charges and stapled my papers and receipt together quickly, out of order and disheveled. I like sunshine’s overall workplace and people, but that second receptionist I will avoid like the plague.
I had a great experience. Michael Schultz helped me for two days as I tried to figure out what it was I wanted to do (lease or buy new). He went through several options with me and showed different price points on vehicles for me to make sure I found the vehicle I liked and would fit within my payment range. He wasnt pushy, but very helpful. Truly everyone at the dealership was kind, patient and I love knowing there is such a great place close to our home. I have no doubt when my husband is ready to buy a car we will come back.
I always receive good service here. The waiting room is nicely furnished and allows me to work while I wait. The staff and service team did an extensive cleaning of my vehicle during covid-19 quarantine. Disinfecting before (for the service teams safety) and after (for mine). Plus a car wash. Did an amazing job.
Went to buy a pre-owned 2016 Avalon Hybrid. Their finance department tried to hike the rate up over a whole percent based on what I normally qualify for with excellent credit. After letting them shop rates they claimed they had the best rate possible. I made 1 call and beat their rate by 1.25 percent. Then they told me the car was ready to see when it wasn’t. And next they sent me an agreement paperwork with an extra $2-3,000 in warranty and service contracts that I didn’t want. The final straw was the wouldn’t negotiate (at all) on the unit I was interested in. So I drove to Crown Toyota in Holland and they made it totally hassle free on almost the exact same car.
Just bought new (to me) 2018 certified Highlander. GREAT experience with Justin E. And Amy also helped find the right car for my situation (big expectations, small wallet).Also have to note that I traveled from Grand Rapids, where I live 3 miles from another Toyota dealer. I drive down to BC because of Courtney and David in the service department and the excellent staff at Sunshine. I really appreciate everything everyone does to help me with my cars.

They’re always pleasant, helpful, and quick. Far better than the Toyota dealership where I bought my car seven years ago. That was in the Detroit area. Now I live in Battle Creek and was thrilled to find Sunshine when I moved here.This one is by far the best Toyota dealership I’ve been to in my life and travels. And I’ve been to many across the country. Highly recommended.
We had a great experience. Nick was super patient with us. We drove 5 vehicles before settling on our 2019 RAV4. Never once did he seem irritated with us. All of the staff we worked with were friendly and encouraging. We will definitely recommend Nick and staff to anyone wanting a new/used vehicle.
Sunshine Toyota continues to impress us. We have now bought 3 vehicles from them and all purchases were smooth and low pressure. The price is fair and they gave good money for trades. Jim is an excellent salesman that gives you the time with the vehicle to yourself to make your decision. He doesnt pressure you to the sale and provides the data you need to make a educated decision on your purchase. We love Toyota, and having a great dealership with great customer service beyond the sale is very important.
Nice employees and manager at service department. First free 5k miles Toyota Care service was completed plus an early oil change that l requested and paid for. They are covering a re-alignment under warranty too, so that is a nice offer. Noticed they only rotated the passenger side tires front to back, which isnt the recommended pattern for an all wheel drive car. Asked service tech about it and they said sometimes based on uneven wear they dont follow the recommended rotation pattern. I accepted their response assuming their actions were the best for overall even tire wear, but Ive never had a tire rotation that only moves one side. They could improve on their attention to detail. Car hood had oily handprints where the services tech lifted and closed it. A common oversight that I dont understand why the techs cannot take 2s to check it and wipe it off. To their defense, I experienced the same issues at another dealership with my old white Camry. Overall good experience.
Thank you Dave in service and Randy in sales. We just bought our 4th car from here and they took great care of us. The AC was given us problems and no cold air but they made good on their commitment and put a new condenser and blowing super cold now. This is why we will be back for our future purchases. Well done guys.
I bought a car from Justin Etheridge in March. The sales experience was fine. I discovered in May, though, that they hadnt charged my cars AC before delivery. I had to pay just under $140 to have it done at a shop on the east side of the state, so I asked Justin if I could have it reimbursed, and he said sure. At that point I would have been happy to let it go, but for some reason it took them until the end of August to get the check to me. I texted Justin multiple times throughout the summer to ask for an update, and he didnt acknowledge the inconvenience at literally any point. I guess I should take this to mean thats just how they do business at Sunshine? If hed given me even one sorry about that I wouldnt be writing this right now. Pretty interesting for someone in sales to not give a single damn about the kind of service theyre providing. I wont be back, and I clearly cant recommend this place to anyone else.
Great people to work with. Courtney in service is an awesome representative. She is quick to communicate and always has more than one option if it’s available. She always solves the problem. We have been going there since 2007 and will continue for the foreseeable future.
Purchased a new Toyota from sunshine in July.was having an issue with a tire going soft so I called and they told me to bring it right in.I waited 1 1/2 hr for them to fix tire.As I was driving away l noticed that the tire that was repaired had 39 psi and the others had 31 Psi I went right back and informed them of this and they said they would take care of it.10 minutes later l was on my way only to notice that the tire now had 38 psi and the others had33 psi.Back I went and they told me the tire gage they had was not very accurate.I had to drive home and adjust the pressure myself.If they cannot put proper pressure in a tire I’m not sure I want them working on my car.
By far the best buying experience Ive ever had in purchasing a 2020 Highlander. Justin, my sales representative, was phenomenal and very helpful throughout the entire process. I had a wonderful experience with Sunshine Toyota.John and Brad went above and beyond typical customer service. I purchased a 2018 Rav4 in September. At time of delivery, I discovered several cosmetic imperfections that were previously not noticeable prior to the car detailing. John and Brad worked with me to have the hood and front bumper repainted by their auto body shop. The end result was a beautiful glossy black finish.I love my Rav4, but I was initially disappointed, because it didnt look as fantastic as I would have wanted. John and Brad made it right and I couldnt be happier. Additionally, I was never inconvenienced by the repair time, since they provided a free loaner vehicle to drive.Sunshine Toyota will absolutely be my go to when its time to upgrade!

Definitely an amazing deal on the used car we purchased! One complaint is how long it took to actually take ownership of the car (approximately a week and a half). Another complaint is communication. We had to initiate responses so we could keep up with where we stood in the purchase.
I bought a 2016 Toyota Prius on Labor Day weekend. Unfortunately I ended up with a big problem during the sale. I called the following week to talk to a manager because I was not getting anywhere with the person that sold me the car. Brad called me back ASAP and listened to what had transpired during the sale and wanted to do whatever he could to resolve the problem. Brad not only solved my problem promptly and seamlessly, but he changed my whole outlook on the experience. I also had many interactions with other Sunshine Toyota employees and they all seem committed to providing customers with the best experience possible. I haven’t bought a car from a dealership in over 15 years when I finally needed to find a car I took my daughter with me and we ended up at Sunshine Toyota.Justin Strunk is an amazing sales consultant he walked us through the entire process, answered all of our questions, and had everything ready the next day when I went to pick up my car. He’s a very caring and understanding man and goes above and beyond to take care of his customers. I dont remember ever enjoying the car buying process before. Usually its several trips back and forth to the sales manager to get the numbers right. Not this time! Jim came out with the right financing rate, best price, and good trade offer the first time. Dennis in finance was professional and low pressure on the extras offered. They even had a tech, Nathan, come out and walk me through all the features in the car, which is unusual for a used car sale. I highly recommend Sunshine Toyota.
Absolutely the best person to work with. He’s very nice and will try as hard as possible to help you find your dream car. Bob was very professional and I had a great experience at this dealership. I had a time limit and needed a car fast and even when they didn’t have the color I wanted in stock he went beyond to make sure the car and color I wanted was shipped to their store. I recommend everyone to go to Bob, he’s the greatest!
We planned to pick up the vehicle before closing after a routine service but life happens. We tried calling starting 25 minutes prior to closing to pay over the phone but no one answered. We left two voicemails and received zero call backs. Therefore we could not pick up our vehicle. The next day there was no teturn call either. We had to call again. Normally the vehicle is washed, and there is a service sticker in the vehicle as a reminder of mileage for next service. Neither of these occurred either. While this experience was negative and frustrating, it is not the norm for service at Sunshine.
We are very satisfied with the service we receive from Sunshine Toyota. Courtney gave us such good service the last time we brought our Prius in that I called her specifically this time. She set up the appointment immediately for the date and time we requested and was waiting for us when we came in today, even calling us by name! Such personalized customer service is rare and especially appreciated. We arrived earlier than anticipated and were promptly served. This is the best service department ever! Thanks so much!

I bought my most recent vehicle a 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan at Sunshine. Theyre process was pretty smooth and efficient. I worked with Justin up until closing and I appreciated not being bounced between sales agents. I test drove the vehicle and bought it within a day. They worked with my bank and loan officer, even though I was not directly available due to schedule restraints. I will say the wait was a bit long when closing, but thats to be expected when theyre closing multiple sales in a day. I would recommend a purchase from them and intend to see them when its time for a new car again.
Excellent experience as usual. Everyone was very professional and friendly and Jim Froelich always makes sure we were taken care of rather we are buying a vehicle or just coming in for service. We have never felt pressured. We have purchased several vehicles from Sunshine Toyota and have been completely satisfied each time. I had been looking at another vehicle at another dealership, but I decided to stop here to see what they had. They had just the vehicle I was looking for and it was in immaculate condition (which I appreciated). Dylan was straightforward, professional and very helpful. After a poor experience 2 years ago, and walking away from a sale, I was hesitant to return.Im glad I gave Sunshine another chance. I made contact with the dealership when we were on our way and the vehicle we wanted to test drive as well as a salesman were at the door waiting to greet us. While final paperwork was being prepared someone showed us all of the features in the vehicle and setup our phones with the bluetooth. We were in an out a lot faster than I expected.
We routinely use sunshine Toyota for service on our 2010 Toyota Prius. During all of our interactions, the service staff has been pleasant and knowledgeable. I have used the shuttle service every time I need maintenance on my car, and it has been prompt with both drop off and pick up.
Saw a great price on a used car online that looked too good to be true... it was. Two stars because they let me take it to my mechanic. No higher rating because they either knew about the blown head gasket and just left it out of the discussion, or their mechanics that inspected it were extremely inept. Either way, the sales person acted dumbfounded when I brought it back. Not a great impression. A car is too big a purchase. Ill go somewhere I trust a little better before going back to Sunshine.

3 Stars for overall service. Although I did not buy my Tundra from Sunshine, they have done all my services.I would have 5 stars, but I’ve been forgotten at my place of business twice to date. Most recently outside in 12 degree weather waiting for someone to come and get me when I was told someone was already on their way to come get me. I was compensated for the most recent hiccup.If the service department has forgotten me or has miscommunicated someone needs to be picked up- how do I know if my oil change was done correctly, or at all- same with the tire rotation that I paid for but highly doubt happened.
Got to drive off with my pretty new to me RAV4! First lot that I went to that didn’t make me feel like I needed to buy a car. Jesus wasn’t pushy and made sure that I got exactly what I was looking for even though it wasn’t the most expensive option that I was looking at. I really appreciated his patience with the entire process! Great dealership, representatives, and experience. We will be back when we are looking for our next car. Highly recommend if you are in the market!
I reached out to Sunshine to get pricing on a 2020 4runner. I also reached out to 3 other dealers also. We purchased our other 4Runner from Sunshine in 2016. Their follow thru and communication left a lot to be desired on this deal. Our previous salesman was fantastic. I asked for a ballpark on my trade and I never received an answer. All the other dealers had no issue doing this. After I purchased our 2020 4Runner i sent them a picture of my 4runner and let them know what happened because they were unable to follow thru on a sale. After that I was told my salesman’s name and then he reached out to me trying to explain what happened. Long story short they would rather make it my fault than theirs. Disappointing, I won’t be bringing my 2020 or my 2016 back at this point. Your competition flat out beat you on this deal. Hope you can learn from this vs explain to the potential customer where they made a miss step.
The whole crew at Sunshine Toyota was outstanding. My old truck (26 years) couldnt make it that last mile. I had to get a dependable used car and pronto was the word of the day. With only one hour until i had to be at work, I went in and asked about the Buick LeSabre i saw online. It was sitting there gassed and ready to roll clean as a whistle. Chip Iceberg put a plate on it for me and away i went the next day i had to have that car. It was fantastic! He was excellent getting my plates, insurance transferred and the greatest interest rate. I have not stopped telling people of the excellent used car I got at an excellent price and superb service. This has been the greatest experience of my life. Way to Go Sunshine Toyota!
I drove in without an appointment, David right there, assisting me promptly. He let the service team know that I am from out of state and needed help FAST! He kept me in the loop during the entire process so that I was very comfortable what they needed to do to get me on the road for my 10 hour journey home.

Toyota really does provide quality products that are reliable and safety oriented. The service is also excellent!I stopped in to address a problem. The problem ended up being nowhere near as serious a problem as I thought it was and the check engine light was taken care of free of charge. I actually stopped in to have a headlight replaced. They got me right in and not only changed the headlight, but rotated my tires and changed my oil. The cost of their oil change was actually about 20 bucks less than where I had been getting my oil changed. There is a small charge for rotating the tires, however, with what I saved from the oil change this was basically free.While waiting for the service to be performed I sat in their lounge. The lounge was split into 2 sections. One section had several sofas with a coffee table in the center and a TV on the wall to watch. Slightly off center was a snack area where there was a mini refrigerator stocked with complimentary soft drinks, and on top of the counter was a selection of bags of chips to snack on while you waited. On the other side of the snack counter were 2 tables that more resembled high top tables at Buffalo Wild Wings. This is where I went as I just wanted to look at things on my phone while I waited. They actually completed my service so quickly that they had to wait on ME to pull my car out because I was in the middle of a game on my phone that I didnt want to stop in the middle of!😂When I got out to the service counter to pay they handed me a receipt that included the few additional charts showing among other things the lifespan of a typical set of brakes with an arrow pointing at approximately where the lifespan of my brakes were at at that given point in time.I drove Chevy vans for a couple years in the early nineties. A disagreement with a Chevy dealer salesperson sent me down the road to the Ford dealership. I drove Fords from 1995 until 2018. Then I bought my current vehicle, a Toyota Sienna minivan.I can pretty much guarantee you I will be not only driving Toyotas for the rest of my life, But I will be making all the purchases from this dealership!I encourage anybody that comes to Battle Creek to stop in and check this place out!
I took my Avalon in for the 5K mile service and was in and out pretty quick. The people at Sunshine are always very customer focused and friendly regardless of which department I have dealt with. Went there to have our Toyota serviced for 25,000 miles. They serviced it fine not being overly generous and replacing anything that could have been. They were very nice and provided an assortment of chips, pretzels, and more. They also provided different juices and sodas. The restrooms were very very clean and they had a separate area for paper towels and other things.
Each visit they make you feel more and more like Family. From Sales to Financing to Service every visit is very welcoming and comfortable.Sales is there to answer all your questions, never pushy with options or items you may not want or need. Same with Financing, will work to get the best deal that fits your personal situation. Worked with Jim F to purchase a Highlander Hybrid. He was knowledgeable, easy going, quick to follow through and a pleasure to work with. There was no waiting while I have to check with my sales manager or anything similar. I pretty much knew what I wanted going in and depending on the trade in assumed I would buy. The trade-in was within my range and Sunshines starting price was aggressively competitive.

I used to be true to Spartan Toyota, but Ive felt as if their service has deteriorated to the point that I wanted to try elsewhere. Sunshine found the issue with my BSM right away, when Spartan said there was nothing they could find wrong. Sunshine also squeezed me in, when my check engine light was on, so I didnt have to leave it three days. I do miss being able to just drive in and drop off.
This is my second new car purchase at Sunshine, and my second time working with Aimee Alger. I guess that the fact I came back says it all. Aimee is very friendly, knowledgable and careful. She is also forthright, and honest - qualities that made me want to work with her again, and which will bring me back the next time I need a car. All the people who work at the dealership are personable and professional. The service staff is great, and getting your car serviced here is a pleasure. I have the highest recommendation for the dealership and its staff.
We had a great experience at Sunshine Toyota. Dannie Sheldon went above and beyond helping us get the right van for us. We bought a pre-owned we had seen listed online and it was expertly cleaned before we took possession. Have had other family who have used this dealership - now we know why. We had two small kids with us, a hot day, wiggly kids....and had several people offer us water, smiles and friendliness - so necessary with little kids. Would definitely consider using again and no reservations about recommending the overall dealership and the salesman, Dannie, we worked with. Very satisfied.

2021-12-05Super happy with Sunshine Toyota! Tyler Bloomfield helped me get my new Tacoma TRD Off-road and I couldn’t be happier with it. Tyler took care of everything over the phone with me (I live 2hrs away from the dealership) and worked with me on everything. I was able to get an accurate offer for my trade in over the phone and emails, get my truck ordered, and options installed without ever having to visit the dealer. The day I picked up my truck was a great experience, I traded in my car, did the paperwork, and set up my truck in under an hour. Everyone was great.

2022-03-24Bought my very first car on my own here this week. I had a friend come with me to look at the car, and John was very accommodating in trying to address any issues we brought up. Very matter of fact, very helpful, and very down to earth - just what I appreciate in a salesman! I wasn’t pressured to finance, and was able to find the used car of my dreams. 2022-02-25Update went back to get my 2009 Yaris serviced and again I’m VERY happy with the GREAT courteous service and pleasant clean waiting area. All the amenities of home. Coffee, soft drinks, water and snacks. Even charging stations for your personal electronics and hybrid cars. A dealer you can trust.

2022-03-16Krista, our salesperson was great...informative and professional. Also, the tech man (sorry, I forgot your name) did a good job of explaining the ins and outs of my new vehicle. My husband did most of the back and forth phone calls etc. But he can leave his own review after picking up his new car.

2022-06-09Randy was very helpful and explained everything to us we needed to know on leasing a car. Never have leased before so it was a new experience for us. The tech that helped us set up our phone in the car was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions.

2022-06-24Great dealings with these guys. Christa was very friendly and fast when I bought my car. Recently they got my recall taken care of while my girlfriend was buying her car, killing two birds with one stone. Her financial portion of the sale seemed a bit shakey, but they finally got it straight and we are both happy customers.
