Comment: Took a defective Ford EcoSport in to abandon since I was having so many mechanical issues with it that I could not even register it and Ford absolutely has REFUSED to take it back (they can sell cars, but suddenly claim no connection to Ford when you try to return a defective one). Had some skinny Service Tech storm out of a side door to start threatening me with calling the cops on me for abandoning a vehicle that Ford cant fix and I cant legally register. As I walked away, the Tech started to follow me on foot and then got within 1 inch of my face threatening me and trying to intimidate and fight me inside the service drop-off bay. I resumed walking away, only for this employee to continue following me for a short distance while calling me a little b---- and making really dirty comments about my mom (who wasnt even with me at the time). Service Manager then pulled up behind me and told me that if I abandoned the car there, it would go on my credit report as a repo. He then said he would try to fix it, but if he couldnt, that I would have to get a lawyer.Avoid this place at all costs. They will do everything they can to sell you a car, but will claim absolutely no connection to Ford when you try to return it for defects.

Matthew is great, we communicated via text and phone over a few days and upon me selecting and getting approved for a vehicle he delivered it to me personally. He drove two hours and had all the paper work ready and the transaction was done in 20-30 minutes. By far the best experience I’ve had so far. Highly recommend.

The folks at Susanville Ford worked with the car dealer in Reno to get us the Range we wanted.We bought a Ford Bronco from them in July. Took it in for an oil change and mentioned it was covered with sap. The detail department made it look brand new.Overall we have bought 5 vehicles from Susanville Ford and have been satisfied with every purchase.

Comment: Hands down the best service department and customer service I have ever experienced!!!! Lost my break module in my pickup pulling nearly a 30,000# loaded trailer. I was on my way to Reno from Central Oregon so I’m out of town with 2 horses. They dropped everything and went to work when I pulled in. They went over and above and out of their way to ensure my pickup could get the horses and I back home on schedule. The kindness shown to us by every employee we encountered was unbelievable!! Right down to making sure logistically we had a place for the horses if needed. I have worked with a lot of Ford dealerships over the years and not a single one comes close to providing this kind of service. Thank you to the best service department!!!!!

My Ram Promaster van had both engine light and ETS lights blaring up a steep pass, but after hopping on the phone with the dealership they were able to see me the very same day despite it being close to end of day (I live and work out of my van). Jerrika Gonzalez was especially helpful in the office, and the work was prompt in the shop. They discovered that a different dealership had done their job incorrectly several weeks prior and damaged a part that was causing the lights. Jerrika got on the phone with them and stayed on the line until she could find the parts manager and ensure that they pay for the new repair. I had to stay in town for the next week waiting for a part and Jerrika made sure that I was able to stay in the lot across the street, which she didnt have to do. Everyone was prompt, kind, and professional, and any news on diagnosis and repair were reported to me right away. Im so glad that if my van had to fall apart on me, it fell apart only 15 minutes from Susanville Ford!

Shane Barnes was completely inept and made my buying process from out of state a nightmare.Shane Barnes had the truck shipped to my state without temp tags so I can’t drive it legally to get a state inspection. He also didn’t mail me my buyers paperwork which is needed to register the truck in my state.I contacted Shane Barnes for the paperwork and he spent a full day giving me the run around and did not send the paperwork until I finally had to send a rude message. He finally sent the paperwork and told me, LOL, as a response.I’d like the owner of this dealership to contact me and explain why this is the way your dealership does business. I’ve bought multiple out of state vehicles and all were delivered with temp tags. This is the most cumbersome purchase I have ever been through.So buyer beware. If you want to be treated as an afterthought and as a person who has to handle things that should be handled don’t buy from this dealership. Absolutely unprofessional and trashy behavior.Shane Barnes is extremely unprofessional and someone who does not take doing his job seriously. Don’t buy from him.I literally sent like 10 messages to buy a car from out of state. The most hassle free customer you could wish for. Not only was Jerrika and her service department exceptional (tech Josh coming in for diagnostics on his day off etc) but working as fast as they could to get me back on the road and allowing us to make it to the start line of the rally and compete for 10 days off-road without any issues! This would not have been possible with the service team at Susanville Ford!Just recently, my husband randomly was driving the same route I had taken and was concerned about a possible issue with the truck he was driving! Jerrika once again came to our rescue and was able to diagnosis that there was nothing to worry about and he was on his way! So amazing!!! Thank you Susanville Ford for being outstanding!

Comment: I live on a very limited income. I moved from Orange County recently. I had registration on my car which was due Jan 20th. On my registration, (issued in Orange Co.) It said I needed a smog certificate. So I called and made an appointment. The smog check cost me $130.00. When I went to turn it in at the DMV and get my registration, they said, you do not need to have smog done in this county. So I wasted $130 that I really could not spare. That was money for food for the rest of the month!When I called Susanville Ford to ask why they did not mention this and I asked if I could get my money returned ? Mike said no, we already sent it to DMV. I just wish they would have been honest to begin with, and when I wrote down my local address, someone would have said, oh you dont need this here.

Comment: Service department tried to tell me all my fuel injectors had failed without an explanation. Towed it to another shop who found the problem, high pressure oil pump. They also said my oil stands were leaking, the other shop confirmed they were not. Had I kept my truck at Susanville Ford my total for repairs would have been 5k plus. My advice is to go some where else. I believe thier Diesel Mech. was throwing parts at my truck at my expense. Other shops in Susanville are more honest and are cheaper. I do not recommend Susanville Ford to anyone.

They do not stock common parts IE the stupid plastic oil drain plug on a lot of the newer Fords and when they do order it the box was shipped to them so badly and late did the part had fallen out and was not in the box. I only gave it three stars because the guy behind the counter was very apologetic professional and friendly If it was not for him it would be one star

They delivered us to a hotel in Reno and are handling the rental car home. It is a warranty issue but just like home, they bent over backwards to provide a solution we could work with. Comment: Went and purchased a vehicle from them the beginning of March. I was told that the title was clean and I was the second owner. I thought I was getting a good deal. Just last week after trying to trade it in I was given a car fax report that stated it had a branded title and I was in fact the fifth owner. I called Susanville Ford to ask them why I wasnt told that and to ask them where my registration was because I still havent received it. They told me it was my responsibility to to contact the dmv. I called the dmv and was told there is an out of state lein holder. I called back to Susanville Ford and talk to Jerry Jones she proceeded to tell me that the dmv was lying and everything was taken care of. I asked her why it wasnt disclosed that it didnt have a clean title. She then got very rude with me. She then asked what I wanted. I told her for them to take the car back because they sold it under false pretenses and to return my down payment. She then had the audacity to tell me I didnt pay for anything the bank did. I reminded her that I put $20,000 cash down. She then transferred me to Chris Johnson who was also very rude telling me I seen the car fax report. I was never shown a report. When I purchased the car the salesman said they ran a report and it was clean. Never offered to show it to me. Buyer beware!!!

Comment: Terrible shop. I took my Ford truck in to get a bumper to bumper inspection and oil change. The mechanic gave the truck a clean bill of health(only the wiper blades needed replaced). A week later my brakes stop working on the highway and my rotor and caliper comes apart. I checked the brake pads and they were down to metal. I checked the opposite side, same story. I double checked the inspection sheet the mechanic gave me, and the brakes were in great shape according to the inspection. Even a lousy mechanic would know to check the brake pads. I had to buy new rotors, calipers and pads and then replace them myself. Dont waste your time at this shop. Go to Reno or something

Comment: My brand new F150 started acting up on our trip and thankfully we were near a dealership. Not exactly how we wanted to start our honeymoon, but worse things could have happened. After a few hours they diagnosed the problem and werent gonna be able to get the part for week. They put us in a rental and we continued on. On our return trip, we checked back in, and still no part. A little discouraged, we drove the rental home. The dealership is 2 hours from home, so I wasnt looking forward to the 4 hour round trip ahead when the truck was finished. They called me a few days later to let me know the truck was done, Brandon informed me that they had a gentleman available to drive the truck over the next morning. Not only did they deliver the truck as promised, but also left me with a full tank of gas. Top notch service if you ask me. Thank you Brandon and the rest of your crew for the great customer service and saving me the 4 hour trip. You guys keep up the good work.

Ive been around the car business a bit and I have to say they did the best job I have ever had done on my detail job as well as the work done on my jeep. I had told them what the problem was and that I believed it was battery/fuse related as did the tow truck mechanic.What the mechanics at the Auto Center did instead was bring to light all these other issues my new used vehicle was and repaired them. Now the redeeming quality of this is, I needed these repairs regardless if thats what I was there for or not. The reason why I am giving them such a low review is because they REFUSED to acknowledge the reason I brought it in. It took over a month for it to get fixed and didnt have any loaners for me to use in the time being.When I came to pick up the vehicle they had to jump start it for me (RED FLAG) but insisted it was due to it sitting in the cold for a while. Got it home, didnt start the next morning. They didnt fix the one issue I had asked them to. Absolutely ridiculous.

Chris, the service manager, made it clear that they do not work on RVs yet would ask his techs if any would be willing to tackle front brakes on our E450 Class C. Pat agreed to take it on. Parts guy said they do not stock the parts. Said they could get them from Oreielys. I was dumbfounded. A Ford dealer willing to use a parts house??!! Any way I have a commercial account and the parts guy said no problem for me to use my account. We had to wait over night as a couple of the parts needed where not in stock. Chris helped us find a close RV site and we showed up in the morning at the dealer. As soon as Pat had parts in hand he labored outside in the hot sun for three hours to replace the brakes on the front of the RV. We where on the road by 1PM. Never before have I received such great service from a dealer. Thanks to Chris and Pat for the great service.

Comment: My check engine light came on and had to stop somewhere to get it checked since I had another 7 hours of driving ahead. Because of the ratings I read, I opted to go here instead of the other options and I’m glad I did. All of the staff were really helpful. Even though they were booked with already scheduled jobs, they squeezed my emergency in. When all was said and done, the final price was less than the quoted price which was a relief. Also it was nice that the sales staff weren’t pushy while I was waiting for my car (Toyota) was being fixed which was a night and day difference from my experience while living in Las Vegas- these guys here in Susanville are not like the vultures there in Vegas. Of course they casually asked if I was interested, but respected my “no thank you” while maintaining a very pleasant demeanor. The service team kept me apprised if my car updates at every opportunity and recommended a place to stay overnight (i.e. Red Lion of Susanville) and a place to eat (i.e. Young Sing Chinese food) all great suggestions for someone new to town.

They once supposedly replaced a cracked manifold, with no improvement in the racket my truck makes.•It is a story you hear now and again, that when a company is bought out, people are fired by the new owner for no reason. Susanville Ford has been doing this. Previously we had been taking our Ford vehicles to Susanville Ford for LOFs and some serious repair work. But no more. Susanville is a tough place to do business. It would seem that a good and friendly work ethic would be a good thing to maintain when you move in and take over a business in a place like Susanville.

Comment: 2 years ago I bought 2 vehicles about a month apart. A 2011 Toyota Tacoma and a 2014 Ford Taurus. Got good deals on both and 2 years later I went to refinance, hoping for an even better rate. Everyone and their brother wanted to refinance the Toyota which had held its value. No one would refinance the Ford because we were way upside down on it. I had heard that the dealership had another Toyota Tacoma in a 2015 with 34,000 miles and went to talk to them about trading in the Taurus. I had had great experiences the first two times with very very little pressure from the salesperson and when I went back I found there had been a change in ownership. I was worried that it would be different from the previous two times but it wasnt. My salesperson worked with me for 3 hours and we finally got a deal worked out that worked for me. They gave me way over blue book on the Taurus, and I put down a very small amount compared to what was still owed on it. I walked away with the Tacoma and a better rate on the loan for a vehicle that will hold its value even after it is payed off. Thanks Shay for putting in the extra time and effort and working with me.

The friendly service writer informed me he could have it looked at within the hour; I agreed. The shuttle driver then transported me and my clubs to the golf course. About 11:30, I was notified via phone my truck was ready and also asked if I needed a ride from GC to the dealership. I declined the offer since I had a friend heading that way. The service personnel were perfect and had my truck ready at 0900. They really need to present a little more pride in the sales area lounge where customers whether they are waiting on a vehicle or purchasing a NEW car.

Comment: Truck is wonderful to drive. Everything works great. However the mpg is not good. On a 5,000 mile trip my average was 16.6 under just about all conditions possible except towing. I am expecting the towing mileage to be terrible.

Comment: The service writer did not return any of my phone calls. She gave no indication of how long the repair would take. She even asked me if I would like to wait, the repair took 4 days. The 2cd time I spoke with her in person I very specifically and very firmly told her I expected a phone call by 2 pm for an update on my vehicle. This did not happen. I had to call the service manager myself. When I arrived to pick up my truck the bill was $400 more than the original estimate, I had not authorized this huge increase in my bill. Very unhappy

Comment: Susanville Ford gets my review of Corning Ford because the Service Director from Corning manages this location as well.One star only due to the fact that 0 is not an option.Avoid Corning Ford and all affiliates at all costs! They are not equipped to operate as a Service Dealer. They will leave you truck outside in the rain with your air conditioning and transmission cooler lines uncovered. They will pile your engine parts inside of your cab and then wonder why your upset. Removal of your engine and leave it on a used tire. No problem here.Then when you ask for upper management they will refuse.They will find damage to your air conditioning and then reassemble it without making repairs. I guess they assume that most people will not know the difference. Ask the manager Bill Neaton, this is acceptable because your hood was shut wasnt it? These are among many of the standard operating procedures at this dealerLet everyone you know to avoid this dealership or should I say lack of dealership. I manage a Service Department and I can say that this is by far the worst Service Department I have ever seen.If you proceed to do business here after reading this you are asking for any problems that may arise from your visit.My offer still stands to assist them in removal of the Ford sign they do not deserve.

Comment: I bought a 2012 ford focus from these guys. Did you know they have a failing transmission, failing power steering, the car will just shut off on you on the freeway and has a safety recall for some latch I cant remeber which one. Well they were able to pawn this POS car off on my 90ish old great grandma whom was buying it for us as a gift. Well now the car has been in the shop 3 times in 30 days for the transmission and they love the as is statement especially when they told me it had been in their shop 2 times within just a couple of months. Literally fixed it twice bought the car and sold it to us and broke down 3 more times all in a 12 month period. Never buying a ford again, afraid they will just be full of recalls and they will sell it to you anyway and you have to find out later or google all recalls on all their cars before you buy.

Comment: Went to the Ford dealership upon referral from a friend to see about a CA smog certification for a new out of state vehicle.I inquired about this service and yes they do smog check, however I wont be getting one done there.Attendant at the front door was more bothered that I had interrupted whatever the hell he was doing on his phone than cared about potential business. Also, when he failed utterly to respond directly to the customer it is seen as rude. His holier-than-thou attitude did not help much either.Not my fault you work weekends, your snap-chat or twitter account can wait, you are there to be professional. You represent Ford as a company.Not dealing with this place in Susanville, advising the people I know to take their business elsewhere.Dont like the post? Fix your employees.

Comment: Took my 2014 Jeep Rubicon unlimited with 19k miles on it, for a check engine light and a front drive line seal leaking. made an appointment for a Monday. was not looked at, service girl said didnt have time to look at the check engine light. Also was also told drive line would not be covered because of a lift kit? So I ask, the vehicles they sale brand new with a lift must not be under warranty, service girl could not answer that question. So I bought the parts on line form MO par and fixed it myself.. I will not every go back to the service department,, I have 3 newer jeeps and a 1 ton ram diesel, will look else where in Reno for new dealership.ThanksG. Tisdale

Comment: Like any dealership 80 dollar upcharge on part and way to much for the labor. More disappointed in Chrylser has it was a safety issue with an airbag sensor. Jeep was 5000 miles out of warranty and they would not help with it at all knowing that many of these have failed in other vehicles.

Comment: Friendly, timely, and accurate service. Traveling and my vehicle had the ‘check engine light’ on, was nervous to get stuck. The service department was able to squeeze me in, diagnosed the issue, and got parts in from a couple hours away. So thankful for an honest, friendly, and reasonably priced Ford mechanic! Big shout out to Ace and JP who really took customer service seriously!
