Ok so I definitely found my new Thai restaurant. Excellent dishes, I had the pad prik and my wife the pad Thai both were very flavorful and quite large in quantity, prepare for leftovers at home 👍. But lets talk about the heat. Like any Thai place, heat/spice will vary a lot. I can usually take medium to medium/hot ok, but this medium is way hot. So just a word of caution, whatever you think is your normal level, take it down a notch for the first go around. The shooting drills could have been a little warmer, but thats a nit pick. I will definitely be back, but will order mild level heat. Great place though, Ill be back for sure.
Good but way overpriced.Update: gotta give them a 1 star now because they wouldnt take a pick up order when I called them 30 min before close. The guy who I was talking on the phone with was rude and had a passive aggressive tone. They wont be getting by business anymore.
10 STARS if possible. I have had a lot of sushi and Thai over the years being from the metro Detroit area. Having moved to metamora, there isn’t much cultural food to be found so we where very excited to try this place. Wow where we ever pleased. Amazing menu that’s like a food network adventure. And everything on it is top knotch. I ate everything omg. I’m surprised I could walk out. A absolute must!
I know. Not the best pictures hahaha. But as you can see, the food looked and tasted delicious by how hard it was to get pictures without my friend and i eating it hahaha! The food was really good! Prices were a little high for me, but thats just me. I cant remember the orders we got sadly..I know that the appetizer was fried wontons and those were amazing~ i think he got the spicy salmon suchi rolls i believe?I think he got a beef Stir Fry? I remember it was R1 on the menu, and i got.. i believe the honey chicken?... cant remember hahaha.. the chicken tasted divine~ fried deliciousness in every crunchy bite! The best is to mix the rice from R1 with brown rice and it tastes soooo good!
My first Doordash delivery order - I waited two hours for them to deliver my food. Doordash only has to do one thing - get food to customers on time. They are obviously completely useless at it. Padthai noodles were super dry, like all stuck together. The sushi smelled fishy. The sushi rice was hard and not fresh. Everything was cold by the time it arrived. Do not use Doordash. They have one simple job to do but they are clearly completely useless at it. They add $2-$3 to EACH ITEM ordered as compared to restaurants menu prices, add a delivery fee AND a service fee, plus the drivers tip! It doesnt make sense to order from them, especially if the restaurant offers its own delivery. Youll save money for each item, no service fee, and a smaller delivery fee. NEVER... EVER... AGAIN!
The service was excellent, my husband and I are major sushi enthusiasts and found the quality of the fish to be very high, and the variety of specialty rolls to be wide, although for those who enjoyed deep fried rolls, I dont recall seeing any battered and fried rolls (not my cup of tea anyways). We arent very well versed in Thai cuisine, but the Red Curry Seafood dish was tasty, medium heat, just enough to make you sweat. The Thai Noodles and Seafood was delicious, definitely a new favorite, medium heat was a tad less than the curry dish, not much sweating. Overall, a very nice place to eat, will definitely return!
We ordered delivery (DoorDash) twice and the first time was good and the second, well it was awful. The noodles were legitimately dry, like all stuck together as one whole noodle dry. The sushi smelled fishy. The rice (in sushi role) was hard and not fresh. Not sure what happened the 2nd time around.
Excellent food!!!!But I didnt realize the price of food on a third-party app is more expensive.A third-party apps (DoorDash,Grubhub) markup and fees are crazy out of this world HIGH!Consider this meal for 3 people.N1 Chicken Padthai, R1 Chicken Fried rice, C1 Chicken curry, A7 Crab rangoon, A1 Spring rolls x3Total item on-site price = $54.96Total third-party apps item price = $75.53 !!!!!! (markups ~ 35%-40%)WOW!+++ PLUSDelivery Fee = $x.xxService Fee = $x.xxTip= $x.xxIf you order delivery
Tips: Ordering takeout directly from the restaurant is 35%-40% cheaper on average than ordering from 3rd party apps (Doordash, Grubhub, Uber eats)So, if you ever want to order takeout consider placing the orders through the restaurants own channel. You can go to the restaurants website to place the order online. I know it is a bit inconvenient, but it saves a lot of money for yourself. The next time you order takeout, call the restaurant or order online from the restaurant’s website. Now you know that the price difference can be HUGE between the restaurants own channel and 3rd party apps. You’re welcome!
This is an excellent Thai restaurant. The taste of dishes they offer , The services , The pricing , Cleanliness and quick service ,even at take out or dine inside....are of excellent standards .I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this Thai restaurant for first choice.
Affordable and delicious sushi and thai, eat here almost once a week for lunch. If you looking for an expensive and fancy dining experience this isnt the place but take out or a relaxed dinner or lunch this is a great place that wont hurt the wallet. The bento boxes are a great deal, the Yum Yum roll is tasty, and the Pad see ew is great! Try them all
Food is always delicious and fresh ! I’ve been going here for a couple years now, and they are hands down the best in town! Sushi is the best. The staff is very fast and always really nice. I have noticed since covid they have put up signs , not asking for a tip but simply saying that if there is a tip left it is greatly appreciated! But they always tell me I don’t have to tip . I look forward to dining in soon . There are no signs asking people to tip more .
We placed a carry out order which came missing the pho I ordered. We also ordered the Phanegang curry with shrimp which was a container filled with liquid, slices of red pepper and 5 small shrimp, what a rip off. We had the roast duck with 5 spices which consisted of a few bites of duck with mostly bones. The duck was tough and the sauce tasted burned. The fried shrimp app was good, but the mackerel sushi was very fishy. The spicy tuna roll was very small. I will never be back to this rip off place again.
We experienced the wrong portion and unripened fruit, the last 2 times we have purchased sushi here. I thought the last time was a fluke because it had always been good previously regardless of the 2 hour amount of time it took to actually get ahold of someone the previous purchase. This last purchase the last phone wait was significantly less(which was great). But then we got our food and my husband ordered the Sashimi roll which is supposed to be 8-10 pieces (per the menu) the excuse from the cook for the sushi was thats just how I cut it and the menus not up to date. I could understand that, if the pieces were bigger but they were not even half inch thick. I got the Paradise Dragon roll and the mango was not ripe whatsoever, this time or last time. It was hard, crisp and very bitter.. As I said the last time I purchased the same thing the mango was also raw, so I had to go through and pick most of it out. I actually felt sick to my stomach from the pieces I didnt take out. I didnt say anything last time just to give them the benefit of the doubt. The Sushi Chefs excuse for this was thats just how the fruit is right now. Ummmm no... We just bought Mango from Meijer last week and both were very ripe. How can you run a restaurant and serve a fruit that is not even ripe to consumers? The Sushi Chef was very rude about everything. The server Kim has always been very nice, every time we have been there. She was the best part of our experience today. The manager walked out, but didnt even really come out to the car. He and my husband were shouting to each other from across the parking lot. My husband and I were in the car so basically they were having to shout at each other to even hear what the other was saying. Anyways he didnt do anything to help at all.
I placed a take out order.. not only did they charge me extra without informing me. But when I went in to pick up my food I had to wait in the lobby while two people made sushi behind the bar — No comments. The pad thai was also bland. Kinda disappointed. They went downhill
Where to begin? The service is excellent whether carry out or dine in. The serving size is more than generous and each entrees flavor is tailored specifically. The sushi is on par if not exceeding the high quality found at the very best of Oakland County. You can immediately tell that there is a high level of care giving to the preparation and even more so to the dining experience. 2 dine in and 1 carry out in one weeks time is very telling of the cuisine. Definitely a family favorite!
The actual Thai food that they serve is flavorful as you would expect, but the portions are small unless you order a meal consisting of mainly noodles. The sushi 🍣 is very delicious as far as my experience can say. Much more worth the visit for sushi instead of the Thai meals.
Update to 5-star review from 2 years ago.The latest experience: Sushi was good, but the entree noodle dish was very poor. Was charged extra money for chicken, but there were only 3 small pcs (the size of a quarter) in the entire order. Then, there was a 4% fee charged to the order that was unexplained by the staff. This was in addition to the 6% sales tax and tip.Due to the sushi, this averages out to a 2 out of 5. Will be trying other places in the area.
Food was good. Loved how big the pieces of sushi were! Prices were good, since we went around lunch time. Their spicy mayo is different then what Im used to, but tasted good. My only real complaint is that the pop was very flat. But over all it wasnt bad for being the only sushi and Thai place I could find near Lapeer.
Have ordered here many times and food has been great. My last experience was not so good. Something about my normal order tasted off- burnt, and dry. I was also charged $2 extra for vegetables and $1 extea for chicken on sperate entrees. Since when is this not included ? I was also charged a 4% fee, with no explanation.
If I could give zero stars I would.BEWARE !!! YOU ARE BEING CHARGED A 3.99% fee for paying CASH!!!! Manager states that owner knows his register is charging this fee not just for credit card purchases, but chooses to leave it and OVERCHARGE their customers and NOT TELL THEM THEY ARE BEING CHARGED THIS FEE AHEAD OF TIME FOR PAYING CASH!!They don’t give a receipt unless you ask for it, and refused to refund my money.UPDATE: a manager contacted me and offered me my refund but also stated that the owner now has to raise prices? UNBELIEVABLE! They already rip people by begging for tips because they refuse to open their restaurant all the way. They want you to come inside to pick up your food, AND want you to tip for it! NEVER RETURNINg!
Food is very good, but they pretty much beg for a tip at carryouts. They have a sign about tipping right on there window, and they circle the word tip, and watch for a tip to be added when you go in to pick up your order. This is very tacky and distasteful in my opinion.
Prices are high, consistency is poor, and my credit card info keeps getting compromised. This is the only place that i know of that still wants you to pay over the phone and not come in and pay due to Covid? Im done with that. After having my credit card compromised 3 times in the past 18 months (someone is taking the numbers and either using them or selling them to others locally that use them to make online purchases) I dont use my credit card for much, so that really narrows it down. I hope they investigate the staff. BEWARE!!!!
I worked here for years as a dishwasher and cook its a hard job but amazing food my buddies still works there and I still visit like family apple the owner knows his flavor but really if you eat here tip cause money is tight for everyone specially the waiters and waitresses they only make tips and like 3 dollars an hour tips is there pay
Good food, good service...however, menu states 8 to 10 pieces directly over the sushi I ordered and 6 pieces were served. When I questioned the waitress she kindly took my order back to kitchen and their response was...if I made them smaller I would have been able to cut it in 8 pieces. The pieces were not on the large side, so Im not buying it.
DO NOT BELIEVE THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS!This place is phenomenal! Went on a whim with my husband and were both left beyond satisfied! The spicy tuna and shrimp tempura sushi were some of the best I have ever had, and my husband raved over his extra spicy curry (and he is impossible to please lol). Waitstaff are super friendly, and the time between ordering and recieving our meals was maybe 15 minutes. Cannot wait to take our children and friends here!WE LOVE YOU SUSHI AND THAI! WELCOME TO OXFORD!
Great food, but unfortunately the service has plummeted. Don’t plan to get your order when they tell you it will be waiting or you will end up waiting in your car for another 40-60 minutes. I now have learned you need to wait an extra 40 minutes before you go pick it up.
Very good sushi! I personally really enjoyed the Beauty and the Beast roll. Very nice presentation and very friendly staff. And prices werent too high, myself being a pretty big sushi fan, I was happy paying the prices that I did. I would highly reccomend Sushi & Thai as a great place for food and pleasant service.
Excellent food that is consistently delicious. I almost always get the same thing so I cant attest to their variety but they do have a large menu. One thing that I appreciate is the drive through window. I used to think how hard is it to go in to pick up food?!Now, with a toddler in the car, some times napping, I realize how much of a God-send drive through windows are.
Update 2020-02-27... Decent food. Terrible service. Long wait times. I will not return. One thing to note is if youre eating in, DO NOT go here if youre in a hurry. It will take longer than expected and they may also bring your food out in a stranger order. I have always eaten in here but suspect I would enjoy it more if I could avoid the wait and just get a carry out.Update 2020-02-27... They moved to a larger location and dont seem to have hired staff to accommodate. Plan on a one and a half to two hour excursion. Its unfortunate. Ive seen a lot of places try to operate way too thin like this. Theres a fine line between maximizing profits and maintaining a loyal customer base. The last time we went in, we sat for 10 minutes before getting up and leaving because no one had greeted us at the table or had taken our drink order and the restaurant was not even half full. Another thing that was mildly worrisome was the empty trays that used to contain sushi/sushi components at the front of the restaurant. Im not sure what is going on, but this move to the larger location makes less sense as time goes by.
Agree with some of the recent reviews. Since the relocation to Oxford the quality of the food has declined. The sushi rice is overcooked and the flavor is not as it was before. Sevice was good but was better at the original location.Too bad because I was excited for this location to open. It is bigger and closer to home. My wife and I have decided not to visit this establishment for now and default to our previous Sushi place in Auburn Hills. We will try again in a few months and see if things improve.
This will be our last time visiting here. They no longer serve inside the restaurant, which was understandable at first, but is just annoying at this point. Weve been coming here regularly for the last several years and have ordered quite often for takeout since Covid started. This time there was a note that people should be tipping more because the wait staff are still only being paid the tipped minimum wage ($3.67 an hour) and they have to give 5% of their tips to the cooks...who by law need to be paid at least regular minimum wage!I have always tipped at least 20%, so to see a note basically accusing us of under tipping is insulting to me. By refusing to open the dining room they are saving a lot of overhead and the fact that they wont pay their servers more and instead decided to insult the customers that are tipping, well...I just wont be back
I loved this place when it was in Lake Orion, but we tried the Oxford location where they moved and the service was horrible. We waited over an hour for our food, only to be informed our order was never put in. So after an hour wait, we left without eating anything other than our sushi appetizer. We tried again with take-out. When the order was placed, my husband was told it would be 45 minutes. I sat in the restaurant waiting for our order for a half an hour. When it finally came out, they didnt have my husbands meal. They told me his meal would take another 30 minutes.
One of our faves in Lake Orion. The food is always good and service is normally quick unless youre there at a peak time on the weekends. Then it can get a little crazy, as its a pretty small place. Sushi is usually very good and one of our faves is the pad Thai curry with chicken. Also have tried the Veggie fried rice which is pretty tasty. Havent gotten a bad meal and we are becoming regulars.
Weve ordered from here multiple times in the last year. It quickly became our favorite Thai food. We frequent Sushi & Thai regularly, including throughout the pandemic.I’ve had some blah Thai a couple times, including a spoiled lime in my pad Thai last time, but we just kinda dealt with it.Last night, for my birthday, my husband called to order. He was told 1.5-2 hours for sushi. Ok, we choose to do something else.Tonight he calls, orders, is told 30 minutes.Well 30 minutes turned into an hour ........ but whats even better is he was given his Thai food after 30 minutes. So it sat in the car for 30 minutes to get cold while waiting on my food. How in the hell is this acceptable service?! We will NEVER return. Ever.I told my husband to demand a refund and leave, but he waited until he was on his way to text me.I doubt they will even respond to this review because I honestly dont think they even care about happy clients.**** Edited to add - employee came out with my sushi, and my hubs asked how long to reheat his pad Thai they brought out 30 minutes prior. Employee response just stir the noodles around that usually works 🤯🤯 y’all are kidding me, right?HORRIBLE SERVICE
Last night I decided I wanted to get Sushi Thai from their new location. I called in take-out, was told 45min to an hour. No big deal, I get to the restaurant a little early than my wait time. There were many people waiting for their food. I figured they got a lot of take out orders and they almost had a full dining room.Based on my observations (looking around, listening on the kitchen), it looked like there were only 2 waiters, one hostess and a small crew in the kitchen.Everyone waiting was very angry and berating the staff for their poor performance. Frankly I was disgusted with the attitudes of the patrons. Here is a restaurant that was trying to succeed with an understaffed crew and a large amount of orders. Of course I understand you want your food and speedy service, but cant you give them a break? Its a new location, possibly new management or staff. GIVE THEM THE BENEFIT OF THE DOUBT.I was served my order after waiting patiently and kindly communicating with the crew.I appluad them for pushing through and doing the best they could to quell the angers of ungrateful customers.Btw, my food tasted DELICIOUS.HIGHLY RECCOMEND.
Visited the oxford location. I have never had such a bad experience at a place before. Took two different waitresses to even get pop. After 1.5 hours I went to the counter to ask about our food, order never went in they think. The waitress was too busy texting to even realize that we never received any of our food let alone refills or even a friendly smile.
I ordered Pho soup. I have never tried it before but that place had very good reviews so I decided to give it a try. And I was amazed how delicious the dish was. I am more on a healthy side. So the fact that the soup was either not salted or hardly salted was exactly what I was looking for. The food was full of fresh flaver of spices and herbs but not overwelming. It didnt leave a heavy feeling in your stomach after a bad food. Instead it left a healthy and enjoyable feeling after a nice dinner. It cant be better!
This is the most wonderful place for dining...The atmosphere is warm and comfortable. The waitresses are superNice. The owner is like a friend that you haveKnown forever..but you just met..He makes sure that you are have a happy experience from the time you walk in the door ..throughout dinning..and a comeback.soon ..goodbye.The food is awesome.. The Thai is so flavorful..like a vacation for the tastebuds. The sushi freshly made. The sashimiLarge portions..beautifully presented. The best dining experience EVER.Being from the Flint area. The drive wasWell worth every mile traveled. A great find..for sure!
“Valentines fail still waiting on our Sushi”First time visitors and recommend highly by a family friend. My husband and I were really looking for some good sushi and Thai food and decided that we would give it a go on V-day. Arrived at their new location in Oxford as our friend had said they secured a bigger location as they are a really great place. First impression, old Big Boy; but no big deal I was here for the food. We were sat and greeted by a server in sweat pants and t-shirt. I asked if we could have a minute after ordering our drinks (no alcohol is served here) as there menu has many items. We finally decided on two different roles and Pad Thai. After a normal amount of time. (Still empty tables at the time of 6:30pm) our Pad Thai came and my husband and I split that while we waited for our sushi. We finished our Pad Thai and our sushi never came. Another server came over took our plate and asked if we were waiting for anything else; we said we were waiting on sushi, she stated she would check on it; never to be seen again. Now it had been an hour from putting our food order in so we waited as maybe the kitchen was backed up maybe every table had ordered sushi but some customers were eating or already done so out of the 15 tables that were there half had already been served. Finally, we just asked for the bill as it seemed that the sushi just wasnt coming out. Now I have ran plenty of restaurants in 27 years of restaurant experience and I would say, 1. Let there be one or two different styles of pants and matching shirt. Also, it is unsafe to have kitchen staff in regular shoes and they should have nonslip shoes on. This will save you medical bills from slip and falls. A black pant or any kind would make for a great look and professional. Also, kitchen staff that come out with food shouldnt look like they rolled out of bed and their hair should be pulled back. I wont be back as there are too many places to try and first impressions either will drive me back or not. We came from 40 mins away to give it a go and go we did with no sushi. Good luck
The food ,the used to be great, the service is absymal. When placing carryout orders, assume to wait an hour longer than suggested. Usually one has to wait around the poorly designed lobby for an hour before the food is ready. Another gentleman had waited 45 minutes beyond his predicted carryout time. This has been happening since they have changed locations. A common sight in the lobby is five people waiting for their carryout orders. The wait staff is attentive, the kitchen is slow on brining food out.Additionally the portions have been decreased and the curry is more watered down. Ever since they moved locations, they have been going downhill in a hurry. This used to be my go to place, it used to be an easy five star rating. Now I have to apply a one-star rating to hopefully gather attention to ownership so they can course correct.
Hawaiian crunch roll is the best! The flash fried coconut on top is a game changer. They serve it with a slice of lime and nicely toasted peanuts. The spice options are no spice, medium and hot. I will definitely be dining here again and look forward to the experience.
The 1st time I went here my husband and I went with my father and 4 friends. Service was terrible. We waited over an hour and a half for our food and ended up walking out. Their explanation was they lost the order. Every time we asked a waitress what was taking so long no one came back to tell us anything. My 2nd visit was yesterday and they messed up the order by putting spice on the wrong dish.
The food here is pretty good. Some visits its better then others - although my stepdad gives the red curry a 5 every time. The fried rice is pretty good. I would say skip the spring roll - lots of cabbage and not very flavorful.Ive only had the sushi once, but it was one of the best rolls Ive ever had. I got the Sexy Roll, which was shrimp tempura, cucumber, avocado, masago and spicy mayo. It was flavorful, perfect amount of crunch and the spicy mayo didnt burn my face off.
The sign looks a little out of place and the building seems to have an I recognize that structure type of face, but you cant quite put your finger on it. Walk inside and be greeted by smiling faces in an either almost empty or full to the brim shop as a red haired man runs around keeping everything moving smoothly. The food portions are huge and I recommend getting dine in with taking home the rest to get the most food for the money. The sushi bar is cute and quanit. Great to enjoy an appetizer while you order some takeout or a snack on the go. Prices are spot on for quality. I highly recommend the crispy duck. It reigns supreme compared to other duck Thai options in Lake Orion. Sushi Thai doesnt take the Americanized trend of over-sweetening their dishes with coconut milk and other garbage. Native spice will clean your clock but leave taste, not burning, on your pallet. Its a definite place to eat when out-of-towners visit me and they all agree, Sushi Thai? Yes please!
I tried my favorite Thai dish, carryout . Beef fried rice, first noted the price was the same as others and i received about 60 percent the amount of food I was expecting. Flavor was awesome, although it was greasy. It had 4 quarter size thin pieces of beef. 2 pieces of tomato about the same size as the beef green onions and lot of still hard crunchy white onions. Medium spice...flavor was good on this dinner. Was disappointing
This is honestly one of my favorite sushi places Ive ever been to. Ive had sushi all over the country, including coastal areas, and in other countries including Japan. The fish is very good quality, especially for our area. They really shine in their big roll composition. The Yum Yum is arguably the best American style roll Ive ever had. I love the variety of rolls, and they are big enough that Im not left hungry. The size of the rolls is large compared to other comparable priced rolls at other places. We literally ate here yesterday for my fiancés birthday and were getting takeout again today! I havent tried a plate of sashimi or anything from them, but everything weve had in rolls has been fresh and tasty. Looking forward to picking up our order in a few minutes!
Absolutely love this place! Best sushi around with lots of unique rolls and the chicken padi thai is my favorite dish! Weve tried multiple places in the area and this is the one place we come back to again and again. Carry out eat in doesnt matter its always delicious!
Small Thai and Sushi place on Lapeer Rd with fresh sushi that is worth the stop. If there was a diner, drive-in, and dives for sushi this would be on the list as they actually have a drive thru that you can order ahead and pick up your Thai dishes or sushi. I ordered a lunch special of pad Thai and sushi and the portion was large, with spicy tuna roll, separate pieces of fish and good portion of pad thai. Enjoyed everything. Doesnt look like much from the outside but worth stopping in.
Absolutely love this place ❤️, until NOW. We go there every other Sunday like clockwork. BUT...went to their new location today and it was awful! We were there 2 hours and finally got the last of our meal just as we were leaving. We got the 1st part of our meal after an hour of sitting there. Horrible service. We kept being told they would check on our food and then never return again. Be hard pressed to go back again. How sad.
Went there for my lunch break today and was welcomed as soon as I walked through the door. The staff was very friendly. I had a coupon for Wednesday Buy One Item and Get the 2nd Half Off. I ordered Honey Chicken and Crazy California Roll. The Honey Chicken was really good , the chicken was quite juicy and the breading was crispy too! However, they did put A LOT of the sweet honey sauce and it drenched my white rice, so even when I took a bite out of the rice I couldnt get a balance of flavor. If I go again, I will make sure to ask for the rice on the side... The Crazy California Roll is also very delicious! You get 10 pieces! They offer FREE WiFi, however you need a password to use it, even as a guest. I didnt bother because my internet was working just fine without it. Overall, a great lunch experience. I would come back to try another dish that looked good on the menu.**I forgot to mention their Hot and Sour Soup is not too great. There was a weird smell and taste to it that I couldnt bear!! It seemed too SOUR!! Maybe okay for some, but I will never get the hot and sour soup again**
Amazing sushi that is always fresh. I started coming here at the beginning of the year and have never been displeased. The general service woman is always so polite and usually offers me a water while I wait for carry out (I have never been treated as such). The Thai is great and spice levels are always exactly as I order them. What really blows me away is the sushi chef; he is amazing (and quite humble about it), he makes great conversation and always has something good to recommend. The way the food is prepared here is spectacular my favorite being their pad thai. It is a little more pricy than other places I have been, but because of their quality and service I would actually pay more than what they charge. Overall it is the absolute best thai restaurant I have ever been to.
Sushi was delicious. I was told by my partner that the Bon Bom roll said extremely hot on the menu, and was not as hot as he expected (he also regularly eats ghost pepper sauce). The catapillar role was delicious and the squid and white tuna nigiri were above average. My issue with this place is that I was unable to get shrimp in my pad ped (they only offered chicken) and when i ordered it no spice, it definitely tasted like a mild or medium. Place was difficult to get to and seemed kind of outdated and cluttered, but the food was amazing and the service was more than polite.
Amazing thai and sushi in a no frills, comfy place. The sushi rolls are huge and have about 10 pieces each roll. The thai was equally as great and served in traditional thai dishes. The staff was also very helpful and super friendly. Will definitely be back for the Yum Yum roll.
The Thai food here is yummy. Gaeng Paa is my favorite dish here, love how they dont fall short on the spice. The sushi though is just okay. Its a hit or miss sometimes fresh and sometimes taste and texture feels old. The spicy tuna is good here usually, cant go wrong with that and usually good, but other options just are okay. Recommend it for Thai, and cant fully recommend the sushi.
We recently moved from Clawson to Lake Orion. When we moved away from Noble Fish I was prepared to drive long distances for my favorite sushi. On a whim we stopped by this place. Its been a year since we moved and I have yet to drive down to Clawson to satisfy a sushi craving. This place is fantastic! We also branched out from the normal sushi orders and tried the crispy duck. Get it hot if you actually like spicy food! You will not be disappointed!
For starters the ppl are really nice here. They offered me something to drink while I waited for my take out order. The all speak great English. And the food is amazing. they are pretty good about not having me wait but its two minutes after they said it would be ready And this nice fellow named josh that had took a moment out of his time to introduce himself and he gave me a one free enter card for the extra wait. Im very pleased with this Thai food place I love their pad see~Ew med. With chicken. Keep up the good work everyone :~D
Either it wasnt half bad or I was starving ...I ordered California Rolls and the Wasabi was phenominal as in powerful! The Pad Thai, while a tad salty was the perfect medium spice i like and very tasty with a huge portion that means there is plenty left over for tomorrow...
The absolute best thai and sushi around. Whether you are in the mood for a full dinner or just a sushi snack, once you eat here you will be yearning to come back. Plenty of pokemon in the parking lot and a pokegym next door. The next time you raid the post office, make sure to stop by here after
This place is awesome... Best thai food around for sure and i have been to every single thai place around... I would give it another chance and change your review ROXANNE NANCE!!!! Since it changed owners yet again... And its really good now.... The gang gai is plate licking good again and everyone is very nice... They have really amzing sushi as well... Sexy roll was the best roll i have had to date... I eat here at least once a week or when ever i get cravings for yummy thai food...A++++++++++++++++++

2022-05-19Dined in and got 1 veggie and 1 beef Pad Thai dinner. Veggie was up charged $2 switch was odd for veggie and only a $1 for beef. Got mild and mild plus for the heat and definitely would get mild plus. Mild has no heat and after 4-5 bites just seems to sweet for Pad Thai. Also got sushi to go that took close to 25 minutes to make which was long. Got mackerel, spicy tuna, yellow tail, and salmon. Overall taste was good but have had better sushi. For the price I’d order the sushi again.

2022-04-18We went here today and wow! First of all, Sushi and Thai food—come on, genius! I have been on the hunt for some good thai food and sushi in the area and my expectations were not high since the area isnt as culturally diverse! We lived near Madison Heights previously which had a lot of great Asian food. This place beats anywhere in that area. Portions are great! Flavors are amazing and everything was cooked perfectly! I ordered the Crazy California Roll and the Drunken noodle—both were the best Thai and sushi I have ever had! Don’t sleep on this restaurant; its amazing!

2022-03-19The bowl of miso soup is HUGE! The cream cheese in the sushi is so creamy, and the stickiness of the rice is spot on. I would recommend this place! My husband and I were popping in for a bite, and we had a great first impression of the restaurant.

2022-08-19I enjoy the pad Thai/ sushi.. however this place is NOT sanitary. I watched the guy making the sushi use his bare hands to put spices and jalapeños on a meal. As soon as he saw I was standing there he grabbed gloves. Not to mention the sushi case was open and tofu was not wrapped exposing it to elements and bugs.

2021-11-12I used to go to their old location all the time and I am so glad it hasnt changed recipes! Their fried stuff is done light and airy, their rolls so fresh that the meat is warm and cream cheese and veggies still cold, and their ginger homemade and amazing!I honestly cannot rate this high enough. This is my favorite restaurant of all time and it has been for nearly a decade (this and their old location). It can be pricey but trust me, it is worth it.

2022-02-27This was my first time here and I have to say, the food was really good! I recall being really hungry and yet I started to feel full after only one roll. The food is on the pricy side, but you get a lot of it, I got the yum yum roll and the hot momma roll and both were rather sizable (and deep fried 🤤). On the downside, the wait time was pretty long, but to be fair, I was in a group of five and two of us did get more than one roll. So yeah, if you like sushi, this is definitely a place to try out!

2022-05-16Service is always good and they are never too busy. Usually the food is very good and consistent. Did not give this 5 stars because my last order had fish in it that smelt and tasted a bit fishy and the kelp in the miso soup was over cooked. Granted, I understand restaurants have their off days and the restaurant industry is hard to staff and work in at the moment. Will still be going back.
