Everything is over priced at the store and the field seems like their unethical way to force people to pay for their ridiculous prices to use their own equipment (low fps limit, and other ridiculous restrictions on guns). The rules this place have are ridiculous and they only force certain people to follow them. It is clear they will allow their friends to do whatever while kicking others out and stealing their money for simply trying to play by the same rules as everyone else. Really save yourself time, money, and frustration, and go to any other place. I never give small businesses bad reviews, but this place needs to be investigated for their questionable business practices.

Comment: Went here for the first time today (05/24) all the way from San Diego and for the first time airsofting in general and had a whole bunch of fun. Maybe one cheater during the games but thats not tac citys fault. Staff and players were super nice and helpful. Field is nice a bit smaller than expected. Ran multiple game modes (all fun just wish there were some modes with respawn ie tdm). Only issue minimum engagement distance wasnt really 10 feet got shot multiple times a little too close but cant really complain about getting shot in a game about shooting each other. Havent tried other fields but from the perspective of a first timer, not really seeing the hate this field gets so 5/5 from me.Edit: Forgot to mention, Peter was great super welcoming and helpful 👍

The main thing is that they treat everyone with disrespect and the refs act like they are their bosses and try to take their videos from their GoPros. I recommend not going there, you can see how bad they are on YouTube. I went there with some buddies and I saw them screaming and lieing at some kids. About using full auto in which case they weren’t doing.

Comment: I visited Tac City on 05.11.2024 and I haven’t been in probably 2 years. The player base still looks the same but def doesn’t act the same which is a huge testament to management. Jumping in I drove first to Ontario to play at battlelabs but had to make my way to tac city since someone flooded the field in Ontario. Arriving there it was a bit confusing which counter to check out at and there were a few staff members walking around at the time. The female staff member was very nice and helped us out. The one of two things I would say that really bummed me out was not seeing it anywhere on the website or field that you have to get permission to film gameplay. I walked on no problem with my GoPro and after the first round was told by the ref I had to take off my GoPro. Was not happy about that. Moving to my next gripe was the gameplay was just simply boring. It was force on force with only thing that changed being where we spawned. Would have been cool to see them mix it up with holding a position on field, trying to attack a structure somewhere on field, something different then the mundane force on force we played all night. Lastly wish there was a bit more ac in the building or at least running more fans I saw several fans that were turned off in the briefing area.

Comment: The service here is really good. I believe the people working out front were friendly and helpful to newcomers. The rental desk was awesome. Big fan of the tall skinny white guy and the guy behind the rental counter at the time with a really hard name to spell that starts with NaThey helped me diagnose a problem with my own gun where I though the battery was dead. They tested it with one of their own so I could figure out that the battery was the problem. They allowed me purchase a battery and borrow one of their fully charged ones while they charged my new battery without additional cost! I just had to use my new battery as collateral which was very awesome!They got everyone to wear LED straps so it was easy to identify who was friendly and who was not! Overall a great experience for someone who came visiting from Norcal to play for the first time!

Comment: This is my personal favorite field, while it can be intimidating to newer players, it is a blast once you get over the fear of getting shot. Dont bother listening to the bad reviews out there, the refs are very helpful when dealing with cheaters. The refs themselves are very friendly and they do a pretty good job putting the minors and rental players on the winning team (biased in a good way). The player community is very encouraging and the long time players help coach the new ones. For as long as you follow the rules and you dont try to start a fight you should have an excellent time. Overall my favorite place to spend a day airsofting and would recommend this to anyone.P.S. whatever you do dont yell at another player to call their hits or the ref will shoot you 😳. My review originally said that the refs were very good at dealing with cheaters, now however they dont even care anymore 😠

Comment: Update 1/15/24:First time back in 5 months and refs said I was feathering even though I showed them footage that I wasnt. They didnt care and marked my band for that. Hour later they said I wasnt calling hits, told them I could show footage that I was and they didnt care again and took the band. Takes the cake for WORST park in California. Save your money and go somewhere else.EDIT 3/24/2024Owner responds only mentioning the conversation that took place even though I tried showing them proof that I wasnt feathering with footage, but they didnt want to look at it. That is on them, so they lost a customer and all I can do is issue a public service announcement NOT to go there given that integrity is not something that they value.

Comment: My friend and I are novices when it comes to airsoft, but the community around us was so welcoming and cordial. My first time coming to Tac City, someone let me use their Glock. My second time coming, I had a H8R and someone let me use their flashlight for it, as well as letting me party up with them. My first time buying a gun here, the staff were extremely patient and kind when we didn’t know what to pick. The refs are extremely fair and actually listen to you when you have a concern or complaint. It’s apparent that the staff take the time to familiarize themselves with frequent visitors and make an effort to ensure that even newcomers have a positive experience. If I we’re to recommend a field in SoCal, I’d recommend Tac City.

Comment: If you want to go airsofting for your first time, this is not the place to go. Teams are heavily out balanced when there are 40 people against 25people in the small field which makes playing not fun at all. Guys with dye mask never call their hits and are always feathering their triggers at people who are at a disadvantage with $20 malfunctioning rental guns. Staff does not take responsibility into enforcing their rules. Why even play the safety video in the beginning when you guys don’t enforce your own rules. When you have toxic players, that toxicity spreads to others which makes beginners or average players experience a inconvenient one. Indoor CQB was always and will always be a toxic environment. I see children and teenagers pointing their replica firearms as each other in the face before matches which facilitates impending gun safety.

And the best review was at the end, none of them wanted to leave. They wanted to play more!!! We are now discussing having a “just for fun” day!! All I can say was that all the kids had a great time!! Even a few adults played and had fun too. We booked a private party that has its own party room that has air conditioning and it feels great in between games. The process was simple and the staff the day of were great!! Very friendly and helpful with the kids. All of my sons friends are super excited to go back again sometime. Thank you Tac City for making this a special birthday to remember!!

Comment: Tac City is great! Gameplay is fun and the layout change weekly(on milsim side) keeps it fresh. Refs are friendly and lately have zero tolerance for BS, that’s much appreciated.The only thing I would change is how refs approach telling players during briefing how they may need to leave if not following the stated rules. Hobby airsoft players are here for serious gameplay. The “we will send you home” phrase that is often used at Tac makes everyone in earshot feel like a petulant child at summer camp and would feel more respectful to players if something like “we will ask you to leave” was said instead.

The staff seem to really connect with their community that theyve built and treats their players like their own friends. Tac really feels like a second home for me and my partner to the point were frequently going, and when you enter the pro-shop you know youre in your comfort zone. The players here have a sense of belonging, and are welcoming to new players. Ive experienced life long players of the sport, give a brand new, day one player some of their own equipment like it was nothing. If youre looking for a new airsoft home, Tac city is where it is. If youre new to the sport, with no equipment, this is THE least expensive field to get a feel of the vibe of airsoft.

Comment: Players with over powered guns not properly chrono’ed on the field. Toxic players allowed to free fire on players in safe zones or with arms up. Need more refs and regulation. The area was a bit small but perfect to fast rounds. Staff were great they knew somewhat knew what their were doing on answering questions about equipment. The price is manageable.

Comment: I decided to update my previous 5 star review.Update 2022: After the management change and the whole bogus move, the staff are very unfriendly and all the good refs are gone. My recent ref was super inexperienced and was looking at his phone the entire time. We had to go up to him and actually tell him the game was over. Super unprofessional, careless, and honestly disrespectful.The playing rates went up as well, theres no good techs working there, and if there are any techs, theyre never actually there.Super nice field, but ultimately ruined by very sour management. I wanna come back to play because its the best indoor field in my area, but at the same time I dont wanna bear with their terrible employees again.

Comment: Most toxic terrible place to go airsofting in SoCal I’ve been to most places in SoCal and if you want a far better experience, go to Project N1 or Battle Labs instead. The players here are sweats and the refs just don’t care. They will see people get hit and not call it and just won’t say anything. The whole night not a single ref told anyone they got hit. Which is virtually unheard of at any airsoft place. They didn’t even bother to balance the teams when have of a whole team was full of a bunch of first time players with rentals. Really bad way to experience airsoft for the first time.

Very friendly and helpful staff on the hire desk and the refs too.My friend hired a gun and vest and the gun looked brand new and worked really well.There is a large area for staging that was a bit hot n sweaty but they had clean toilets and water fountains. The pro shop was well equipped too.The chrono was a bit slow but once done we were into briefing and then on to games.The games ran very fast. Every time a turn ended the teams switched locations and started again. After doing this a few times everyone comes off field for a breather. Within 5 mins we were off again. 3.5 hours with a very large play time available.About 40 guys were there which made for a good scaled game.I had only played outdoor airsoft and CQB was a lot more brutal. Make sure youve got some padding or you will get some monster welts and bruises. I ended up with 20 and some even had blood oozing out.So why not 5*... ?Well all we played was team deathmatch with no-respawn. Over and over and over. No objective games or longer games with respawns etc. A little more variety would get this up.I asked the front desk guy about the Texas move and he reckoned it was the head office only. The field looks to be staying open for now.

I arrived at around 7:45 PM after driving about an hour. I came into the lobby where I asked a skinny lady with brown hair for a day pass, she was anywhere in the age range of 40 to 60. She didnt seem to care and apathetically answered my question with a no, we are at compacity. I said okay, asked a question about their inventory, and browsed the store for a minute before I left. As I was leaving I noticed about 3 separate groups of people going to their cars to pack up and leave. Thinking I could get in, I went back to the same lady and asked her if I could come in since others had left. Again she apathetically said No, people come in and out all the time and we cant track the amount of players in the building. I understand the logic but I still was bothered by the fact she wasnt willing to accommodate me at all and didnt seem to care in the slightest. She just seemed annoyed with me. Maybe she could have asked a ref if the player count has lowered? I was willing to pay $20 for only 2 hours of play and I was going to buy an accessory for my M4 but I decided not to. I just thought screw this and left because it seems like the people there at the time could care less. So I chose not to give them my business.It doesnt really matter since I just found out this location is closing and moving to Texas.

They will find an issue to let you not play.After wasting close to an hour of my time trying to Chrono they decided they didnt like my trigger.Multiple people trying to get my gun to binary on a trigger pull (which it doesnt I try to play as fair as possible). To also note I dont even have a speed trigger its a stock trigger I installed with my polar star.Was given the option to let tech take my gun apart to make sure it was to their standards, which Id have to pay for no thanks.Their solution instead of a refund was a free pass. Comical...to then come back and do this again? No thank you.Gentleman at the pro shop were great. The pro shop and tech agreed my trigger was fine.Mind you Ive played about 5 other places now with this (including indoor and no issues)For those seeing this as they move to Texas dont waste your time.Also should probably note they run SpeedQB events and its for everyone to see on YouTube, they have allowed way worse things to happen or be used.I rarely leave reviews but this place was a joke. I am almost 30 years old, I have no reason to cheat or play improperly. Just trying to enjoy a hobby with my kid brother and this place made it damn near impossible.

And it will hurt but not that much and 350 IS THE LIMIT OF FPS so dont bring a 378 fps M4 or some, but yeah Come here its a nice spot. Comment: My main gripes come from the website and the ambiguity of how the storefront operates, but I will start with my in person visit with my brother in law, who just turned 18 and wanted his first airsoft gun.Storefront is what I would expect from a specialty shop like this, decent variety in product with a fair range of prices. The staff, specifically Thomas who helped us out the most, was very informative and honest. We were able to walk out feeling confident in our purchase/products. I would be confident in saying if you are new and intimidated from getting into a new hobby, the staff (perhaps Thomas specifically since we mostly interacted with him) will be welcoming and answer all of your questions to your satisfaction. Thanks again Thomas for making our first experience great and putting aside our indecisions in terms of the products and responsible airsoft ownership (safe handling, transporting, etiquette, etc).~Now if you were like me and very confused by their website, let me do my best to explain. They are obviously not solely a storefront, but it is not obvious that they also dont have online retail setup with the PROSHOP tab on their website. If you are looking to purchase you will have to come in or perhaps call in. The hours are also very ambiguous from the website, but from what I was able to gather the store is open regardless during their business hours. On days they are doing their events, you may have to wait for them to get their event in order before focusing on the store itself. To be fair, there seems to be a very high demand and I am sure putting these together takes a lot of organizing and proper execution so no hard feelings for the wait at all, we just used the time to browse.~Overall I was satisfied, I wanted there to be more information on the website, perhaps because UX, UI, and designing e-tail is something I specialize in, but I understand not having that infrastructure without someone in house to manage it. Staff were great, Thomas again you get a shoutout, and from hearing other staff work to inform other customers and mediate issues customers had Id say youll be well off having any of them help you.4/5 starscloser to a 3.75 than a 4.5 but if they expand their online presence and touched upon my gripes (hit me up I do freelance consulting) I would be willing to say they have the capacity to offer you close to a 5 star FULL experience.

Comment: After not playing for a couple of months, I finally had time to go play today, noticed a lot of new referees, these guys get 5 stars from me. As the regular player I used to be, I can tell you most of the old refs had a thing for siding with the regular players. Not no more, staff will handle your complain, the best they can, even if your new. I had an amazing day, specially because the coolifornia kids (the worst cheaters) got banned, and everybody that was cheating was getting send out. If your new or would like to get into the sport, do yourself a favor and buy a go pro, it will help the refs a lot more if you show them instant footage of your complain, they wont hesitate sending people out of games, even the regular players. I got a go pro and thats how I deal with cheaters, I just need more help. Keep up the good work tac city👍👍👍👍

We paid for 3-6 timeslot and did not get in a game until almost 4:30, they did not open the doors until 3 on the dot and it took them more than an hour to give out wrist bands. Only got in 3 games for $20. It is also very bad how they run every game as one life then tramp back to the entrance then tramp across to switch sides, wastes so much time compared to if there were some kind of respawns.

Comment: For 5 years I have played here, however in the past year I have been playing I have been treated extremely poorly. The refs have been discriminating against me because of what I wear. When I played SpeedQB they were friendly and greeted me every time I came. Now, they ignore me since I quit SpeedQB and started wearing something else. Many of my friends have been banned or quit because of how unjust this field is. Some of my other friends changed what they wore so that they wouldn’t experience injustice. I have seen the refs lie to my friends face saying he was hit. Even though we sat in the back and didn’t move. We were both recording and they didn’t even let us show our footage. Every time I go I am targeted for the way I dress and play. If I talk to the refs about a cheater they don’t do anything. I have never broken any rule but still get kicked out or get threatened to be kicked out. There were only a few refs that treated me fairly. Because they treated me equally they were fired. I highly do not recommend coming here until these issues are fixed. This was a fun place to play until they treated me this way. If anyone that works here reads this please fix these issues.

Comment: Let me start by saying its a fun field and every single employee is awesome and helpful except Alex the TechThe tech/ref “Alex” is probably the worst at Tac City. Super unprofessional, super lazy, rude, does not want to help out with tech stuff but hes the “tech guy”.Twice i run into issues with him, first time i went to tac city i needed a spring change for my gun to shoot below 350fps, on website & manager even told me techs close at 8pm. It was about 6:50 when we were finally let inside because of the covid 10 person capacity, i went upstairs to get it done and first thing he says is “ im not taking anymore guns today, im off at 8” i responded with “ its 6:55 i just need a quick spring change so my gun would be usable on field, he then says “nah man im done at 8 and they take at least 1 hour and half to change, (Spring swap on a LT-15 is taken from the inside stock, takes about 5-10 min, i just didnt have the tool/spring to do it myself)I had explained that the manager downstairs said it was fine that i take it to you then he says “nah man im done im leaving on time” as furious as i was i was forced to rent a gun and play.Just recently i had gone in to play, i need to buy a new fcu board for my hpa aet up as mine broke, the manager explained to me that the tech “Alex” would bring it out and help me set it up tuning and what not (i dont know much about setting up the fcu) so i said great. Alex comes out, hands me the fcu and has this look on his face like he has recognized me and didnt say a word,i asked him if he could help me out because the manager said he would he said “i dont have time right now” and left the room. I go to chrino and he then is forced to do it to chrono my gun and has an attitude about it, after its all finished up i said “thank you I appreciate it” and he just kinda looks away and says “sure”. Now here is my MAIN issue with him, the reservation is from 7-10pm keep in mind chrono takes a while and intermission, i played about 6 rounds before i was asked to step off for “failing a check” i was in my own spawn behind a box peeking right and i did feel bbs hit me from my back but i was in front of a wall and was getting suppressed from an enemy in front of me so i thought they were ricochets ( they dont count) i proceeded to keep playing and i even told the guys to my left that were out “man im getting ricocheted left and right. I was also unaware that tac city did “checks” anyway he pulls me to the side before the next round and tells me i failed 2 checks i have to sit out for the remaining 4 rounds. I asked what a check was and stuff and he says i shot you twice and you didnt call it, i explained that I thought they were ricochets given i was in front of a wall exchange shots with an enemy in front of me who was hitting the wall behind me. He says “you still failed just step out for this little session then you can come back” furious and annoyed i had a feeling he did it on purpose because the whole day hadnt checked anyone else before like i said i was unaware they even did that they should explain that. Also i was on the opposite side of where he was standing, there was about 4-5 other teammates closer to him and even enemies closer to his side but he shot at me. After the rounds end im thinking okay its about 9:20 we will get one more session in, he takes his sweet time during intermission that everyone proceeds to leave, so following because there would have been maybe 5 people total i lefr angry because he pulled me out and felt targeted. This employee is absolutely annoying, unprofessional, and such a pos. Little skronny dude thinks hes something hahahAgain everyone else is great help and cool except this pos.

Additionally, just a note to adult milsim players. Comment: I came in on a Wednesday to try Airsoft for the first time. Ive previously done paintball, so I came in with a good mindset for Airsoft. I also didnt mind waiting outside with COVID restrictions. However, my issues mainly arose with how the staff was managing the location on this day.Upon the first game, the newbies were pitted against regulars outfitted with quality equipment, tactical gear, and accessories for their guns. Meanwhile, everyone on the other team barely knew how to reload. One of the employees even acknowledged this fact afterward directly to the employee who set up the teams.To top that off many of our guns were misfiring, missing screws or were not adequately checked beforehand on the beginner team which is disappointing considering they advertise a fully stocked pro shop, with quality rental gear, & tech services. I had to swap out my gun twice and was sent back out into the game with a busted mag after I pointed it out to the employee who simply told me to wind it up after I had done so multiple times in-game. The issue was not fixed.An employee on this day also felt itd be fun for his regulars and employees in the mix (from what I heard and saw in their interactions) to pit them against the newbies. He specifically said this at the end of the night as his regulars were heading out. Talk about taking the fun out of the experience for people trying something new for the first time. I even spoke to other customers about how everything was being handled, and they were experiencing the same frustrations I had.One kid in particular even showed me cam footage of their regulars not making their calls. These are people who are outfitted with some high gear; meanwhile, my chamber is falling off my m4 mid-match. Meanwhile, theyll continually shoot at a person even after being hit. I sat out a couple of games to see how this was being handled, which was never addressed.Once the teams were adjusted correctly to even out the teams, did the game improve for everyone. I wonder why? S/I came in excited to try Airsoft for the first time after having some of the greatest experiences through paintball, and its community. I left disappointed in how this place was managing their games and how their community was treating newer players for sport.I sincerely hope that they step up in how they handle new customers cause I wont be returning.

Comment: This was my first and last ever time at tac city. When I arrived I stood in line with my gear for 15 minutes and was then told I had to put my gear in the back once I was in tdd he front of the line. They then made me wait another 15 minutes in line. They also proceeded to help another person with their gear who was behind us in line initially and they didnt make him put his gear away and helped him right away. I then had to wait an hour to get my gun chronoed because they only chrono between games. After being there for about 2 hours I was able to finally chrono and was told to leave because my gun was 10 over the limit. Even though they were letting regular airsofters play withought getting chronoed. The service was terrible the refs and staff are very sarcastic and condescending and their organization if nonexistent. They also only have 1 indoor field and it is way to small for the amount of people playing. You can go to hollywood sports park and play in their multiple outdoor fields for cheaper. Also they have guns for sale at tac city that shoot over the chrono limit so if your planning on buying a gun there to use that day make sure you choose wisely or honestly just dont go there at all. A wast of 3 hours of my life.

I dont know the name of the referee but he was the one in charge of all the games we played for the night, and if him or the staff read this he seriously needs to chill out. The service they give in the front and in the tech office are very friendly and welcoming especially tech if you have a problem they will tell you what the problem is and will either tell you if you want them to fix something up for you or they instruct you how you could do it on your own which is very nice. Players are very respectful for other players who are new to the airsoft community or if it’s their first time playing indoors. Such an amazing place for anyone who Airsoft’s because of the fast paced gameplay that you get and for the pricing to be very reasonable for what your getting.

Comment: Tac city airsoft is a really fun and close to home place to be. Its always a fun sport when everyone is cooperating but this place always has one kid that always complains or is mad. By the end of the day some of the refs become absolutely miserable and annoying to be around because they get mad at the poor sportsmanship. If Im paying to be there and use your park as a service and Im behaving myself. Id expect to be treated with respect not get yelled at. Honestly they should be stricter with children and have a zero tolerance policy and just kick them out. When I play airsoft I just want to have fun, but some of the people get competitive to the point where they are just toxic. Im giving it four stars because most of the problem is the players and not so much the location. But the refs need to change their attitude, this isnt a boot camp.

Comment: Very fun place. Friday night was really crowded and i would say its more intermediate players and everyone is set up for low light conditions w tracers and lights. Easter eggs are a great feature. My son and i found the golden egg and one other egg and won a sweet tac light plus a bottle of BBs. Gear store is well stocked and it looks like they have a bunch of exotic/premium rentals that other fields just dont carry. We still have more fun out outdoor fields but mainly bc were still fairly new and the outdoor fields are a little easier to get hits on people. If you think your CQB bonafide then Tac City is the place for you though!

Comment: Staff was great, the field and the environment was great, but the cheaters are insane, IT REALLY IS BAD!!! I have never seen soooooo many cheaters on a single day or single field ever, my first time at this place left me in awe. We also went on Thursday which is supposed to be full force and 18+ LOL!!! There were more kids under 16 than adults; kinda ruins it when they are supposed to be with an adult, the whole point of 18+ is for the older crowd to get away from the cheating kids. But yeah, I saw over 4 cheaters myself and the entire night heard/saw people complaining about kids cheating. Also, the reason they cheat is because it doesnt hurt to be shot by a .25 bb at 350 fps. If you change the rules to 410 fps with .28 bbs believe me, no one will be cheating because thats what we play on our private fields.

Comment: The store is pretty great, they have an awesome selection without the size of Evikes walk in store. Most of the players are SpeedQB kids and a lot of players dont call their hits. The refs seem to turn a blind eye to repeat business but that makes sense. If youre into really short gameplay, no one calling their hits, roasting to death and refs than enjoy the false sense of superiority a polo shirt gives em, this is the place for you. But then again, theres not much selection down here, so it kind of is the place for you.

Comment: Great place to go when were new to Airsoft.Second time out with my son, loaded to the hilt with new equipment and all the stuff he bought (based on look & not proven reliability) broke. The staff would stop what they were doing, take his (what ever it was that malfunctioned) and fix it right there for him. Excellent customer focus.Said we were new, and one of the top people (Jim) asked one of the regulars (a neat kid named Frank) to show us the ropes. -That was super nice.It can be stuffy inside but theres 50 boys of all ages running around all over the place so thats to be expected. They have huge fans moving the air through. We will go back again, just with better gear.They have vending (bottled & bag chips), a rental counter, and a repair shop upstairs. They also mix up the games to keep it interesting. Thanks again Jim, much appreciated.

Comment: Treat hpa users like trash, everytime I go there I feel like they add more and more barriers just to slow people down and stop them from rushing. Staff sucks, they yelled at me for not having my gun semi locked, but then my friend full autos me in the back right in front of the ref and the ref just tells him not to shoot in between games. They also make hpa users set their psi to shoot 40 fps under the 350 fps limit because of fps creep. My gun was shooting 335 fps at 110 psi and I was told to lower it to 90 psi. The ref literally shot my gun in the chrono 5 times and it never went higher then 338 fps. Most of the players are nice tho, the speedqb kids get on my nerves but thats just a personal thing. Overall bad policies toward hpa and bad staff.

Comment: Great pro shop staff! Very very friendly and extremely helpful. For the prices you pay for gear, guns, and accessories, they certainly make you feel good about it.That being said the field itself it a bit overly CQB for my tastes. Distances between barriers and the fields of available fire make it very difficult to maneuver and the possibility of stumbling into an enemy at close proximity is higher than actually engaging in a calculated fire fight. The surrender rule is a bit over kill, but it seems to be in place foe the younger kids safety and fun. That being said, the locals seem to be aloud to use the Contra Code more times then not (wont call hits, wont surrender when too close, but will certainly light you up without hesitation when it suits them... watch out for these guys).The refs seem to speak to people as if they are talking to teenagers and kids, so they do come off a bit condicending at times, but I think its just the environment and crowd they are used to most the time.Conclusion:Pros:1. Friendly shop staff2. Decent prices3. Fast paced action during play (CQB/ Speedsoft)4. No long waits for games to start.5. Simple rulesCons:1. Cheaters2. Ref staff is a bit overly over bearing when speaking to adults... granted there are a lot of stupid ones out there that need that sort of treatment to follow rules.3. Overly CQB (leave your M4s at home and grab extra pistol mags)4. No full auto??? Or am I just not there on the right day...5. Rules geared towards the safety of little kids that impede on game play styles of older teens and adults.6. Team deathmatch is pretty much the only game they play... start point is the variable

The black dude does power trip a little but its all good.I came back to edit my review. The last 2 times Ive been here they have closed almost an hour earlier than the time they advertise. I drive all the way up from Dana Point to play and it usually takes me about a hour if not more with traffic to get here. It really pisses me off that they decide to call last game at just past 9:00. If you want to close at 9:00, change your hours. If Im driving an hour to come play the least you can do is let me get my moneys worth and honor the hours that you have posted on your website.. Open till 10 means last game should be at 9:45. Its not the customers responsibility to make sure the staff gets out right at 10:00.

Ive never felt a less enthusiastic Airsofting atmopshere. Seriously, If working with kids is an issue for you and having a good attitude about reffing and talking to your player base is too hard just go away and find a different place to work. I feel sorry for everyone who deals with their cross-armed frown faced asshat tones when asking about rules, making conversation, or anything regarding being social during Airsoft.Personal Issues - My gun shot 400 when I got there. When a 20 dollar downgrade to 330-350 fps is done I was expecting a spring replacement not a jerry rig style spring coil clip. Atleast it wasnt porting the Air Nozzle which is even worse. On top of that my gun wasnt shooting 350 to MY specifications. It shot 340ish with tested variety mags but with my G&G mags they shot 360. So in a sarcastic manner I say, Good job helping me use my primary to play, really. Not only did I pay for a downgrade and was still not able to use it for the day, I now need a replacement spring or else my AOE will be f-ed over time with springs wearing and being compressed over time.Another thing - I paid expecting their fans to work, maybe some A/C, access to water and have an enjoyable time. What I experienced was half the buildings electricity to not work, still and hot air, and water bottles for purchase at the price of Sold Out. Vending machine ran out of water bottles, and their ventilation didnt work? Boy oh boy you can just imagine. So due to this facility issue I left early at the 6pm cut off until the night time section of games start. They did not honor my time I spent there or my money and expectations when I asked for the 10 dollar refund for the 6-10pm I paid for at the beginning of the day.On top of this I was talking to some of the kids and theyre intimidated and afraid of some of the older players. I was told by a younger player he was scared of one guy because he cheats and mag dumps on people. Why am I hearing stories of younger players being afraid in the Airsofting world. That should not even be heard and should be more closely watched. I will give the boy who cried wolf doubt however, I watched it happen and he didnt report it because hes afraid he will get mag dumped on for tattleing.I enjoyed the player base and the field but I will definitely not be going out of my way to come from out of state to play there again and would not reccomend it to anyone coming from far lengths to enjoy some Airsoft. I can deal with the hot building, I can deal with not getting my refund for my time not spent there with the facility not in full function but the attitudes definitely need a change. I know its annoying working with kids, I know its annoying fixing everyones bull in Airsoft, but the way some people are acting is not making Airsoft fun.

Dont get me wrong there are a couple of nice people, as there is anywhere, but some of the people are just straight rude. My biggest complaint is how greatly the regulars are treated. No matter how many times you complain, or how much proof you have to show the refs that they are either cheating or breaking rules, they always get away without so little as a slap on the wrists. Comment: For Parents: The adult staff treated the kids with disrespect and had very insulting attitudes. They were very impatient and short with the kids. One of the staff wouldnt give my sons friend his phone back because the friend said Can I ... instead of May I ... and then lectured him on grammar. Another kid in our group had to sit out while their gun smith worked on his rifle to lower the velocity of the BB coming out which took 2 hours. And by then, the kids were done shooting. $25 to get into the place, $20 to have them work on the rifle, $5 to rent the face mask. No refund. No shooting whatsoever. Wasted time and money. They seem to have regulars that have a good time. But if you are new here, be prepared to go through crummy treatment cause the good ole boys run the place.For Kids: Bad attitude of the people that work here. You and your friends wont have that much fun. If you take off your mask to adjust it while waiting to shoot, they will punish you by putting you in time out for that match. The rifles fall apart. There are better places like SC Village in Norco.

Comment: The field is good, BUT, TToooooooo many speedsofters. Im not saying its a bad thing, but, when they dont call their hits, it makes evryone miserable. The staff needs to understand that tis is a place of business, not your personal playground. You need to be more professional and stop acting like children, theres enough kids there already. Get more refs on the field so they can spot the cheaters.

Comment: Pretty cool and a good playfield with a good variety of guns in the shop, but if you are a kid, you have to wait about 45 minutes after three of your games while the 18+ people do their game. But you can sign a waiver to play during their time, but still, the fact that you have to sign a waiver makes me sketchy. So there you have it, I wouldnt recommend this place if you are a kid. But if not, I would recommend this place.

Comment: Ive been going to Tac City for a year now. Recently i made the mistake of reporting a player for cheating, and finding out this week the player was a referee. The reff was rude to me the entire night, and kicked me off the field for talking to myself on the field. I was told this was talking smack. Even though I was pinned down, and whispered to myself under the referee bridge Im in a bad spot. I was literally talking out loud to myself in a soft voice. The entire night the reff just watched me waiting for a reason to kick me off. This is unprofessional for a business that I assume has the motive to make profits to treat its regular customers like this. They need to hire some mature employees, that treat the place like a real business. I assume they are open to make money, and not run a club with employees that have a elitist mentality.

Comment: The only reason why i am giving three stars is the field. Too much coverage so you cant really be running around. This field pretty much makes you camp or stay in one place most of the time. However, the hours are great. To me, the keypoint in airsoft fields, is how well balanced it is, and the hours it has. If i feel like wanting to shoot some bbs at 6pm, i can just come here, i live in HB so it only takes 40 mins to get here. The staff is pretty chill and helpful too. They also have a good deal fo two people as well.

Comment: I didnt like was how small the field was Tac City in Fullerton is bigger and the refs play favorites with regular customers they dont care if they cheat but if they think you cheat your thrown out. The field was poorly made, the fps limit is 350 the regulars were able to use guns well over 400 my friends were bleeding at the end of the match overall staff is terrible and the field is crap

Comment: Its actually not that bad of a place but I do believe the staff are often short handed. There should be actually a few refs on the field at all times, but there was one trying their best to chrono people and at the same time make sure kids were emptying their chamber and putting their guns on safe before leaving the field. A few kids were taking their masks off on the field and I had to almost yell at them to put their masks back on. I think you guys need to hire more staff if you want to provide a better experience to players.

Comment: Im a regular here along with my brother. We are not as well known as the rest of the regulars but we get along with mostly everyone. Fun place to go definitely if youre looking for a fast paced cqb environment. Pro shop has a great selection, customer service is ok, field is well maintained and theyre adding new stuff yearly which is nice. Now on to the bad stuff. The refs do have favorites with the local teams there, allowing them to cheat, and threatening kids and players with kicking you out for the day without putting much thought and consideration in their decision. The local teams are ridiculous cry babys because myself and my brother are just a bit better than them with our aim and tactics. There is a huge cheating issue with players and local teams with them not calling hits. Checking is ridiculous for 2 reasons. A.) The refs check you (aka shoot you) if a local team or regulars complain. Ive been a victim of this. B.) The check 50% of the time is on gear or missed and if they say they hit you, you sit out for a long time or are kicked out. There are quite a few refs there that have a power complex and will randomly check your gun to see if it fires hot or something to get you kicked our if they dont like you. My brother had his pistol checked and they gassed it up and loaded it with bbs. It shot 2 fps over the max limit for the first 3 shots and he was kicked out for the day. He was really kicked out for being better than the local teams and regular guys. All in all the place is good for the price and the game play but watch out for the cry babies and power complex refs.

Comment: I have been coming here for years and have always enjoyed playing here. They constantly change the field on a regular basis so it is never the same. The only reason why I didnt give it a 5 star rating is because they dont do scenarios enough, or at all anymore whenever I play. I dont mind playing full force, but at least put a few scenarios a few times a night.

Comment: Do not go here. The refs and most of the staff are very unhelpful and play favorites. The play might actually be fun if the refs didnt have all of the power that they do. If they dont like you they will shoot at you to check that you are calling the hits. They love to do this when you are about to make some kind of flanking maneuver on the other team and tend to assume that you know when you get hit by them and not some stray bb.The refs noticed my group early on and did everything in their power to ensure that we would get shot by them. Even when we were near the back of the field with no one else around they would shoot at us to check. After one of the games the ref came down to let us know that they would be watching by saying that our group as a collective was not calling the checking hits and that since she was feeling generous and felt the grace of God she would allow us to continue to play at the field. Thankfully we were all sick of the place and decided to leave.DO NOT GO HERE FIND ANOTHER PLACE TO GO FOR CQB.

Although it could use a few more game modes, the arena is well put together, well run, and clean. Had a great time, 5 stars, hope to play there again. I would reccomend this place to everyone.

Comment: So we can here to airsoft and have a good time with friends but, first off the lady who came to open the place was late, and on top of that she was incredible rude. Just not welcoming or friendly at all. We were a group of 22 people providing lots of business and she just was so impatient. We had a few girls in are group and they were asking some of us if it would hurt and the lady who worked there up right said yea it will hurt a lot, interrupting us. Also our referee was very out of it. One of us heard him complaining in the lobby that he just broke up with his girlfriend and because of that he was really not cool, super monotoned and bringing everyone down, also a little rude to a few of us noobs. Keep your personal life out of work dude. Then at 12:06pm he stopped our private group time. Website advertise 8:30am-12:30pm private weekend events for $20, we came on sunday. Understandably not exactly 8:30am but 9:30am ish, come on. We also upgraded to the gold package and only got 2 boxes of pizza for 22 people nothing else, the few who got pizza only had one slice. Over all would never go to this location again plenty of others and with hopefully better customer service.

Comment: Great place for airsoft. The fields strategic placement of barriers really make the games run smooth. They recently added a car, a small tower, and some white barrels to get rid of those out in the open shots. So now those players running sweeps or running from cover to cover have more barriers to cover them.The only bad thing is that there are many new players on the weekends and can ruin some of your airsoft experience there. The refs are okay, considering I know them personally, but some do have their issues with checking people. Most of the time they check random people and not the ones that we say are the ones not calling their hits. For right now this field is a 4.5/5. If improvements are made through the reffing, then its a definite 5 from me.

Comment: Tac City El Monte is a bit smaller than Tac City South, and as such I have not found myself coming here much since I started going to south. From where I am the drive isnt much different, and the size and number of people at Tac City South always call me there.When I have played here at north, I have had a good time and found the games to be well run and the place in general to be good.Since I cant find a place to put a google review for Tac City South, I will include it here below. Heads up tac city, get your south location listed in the google directory!This is a solid, large and well run indoor CQB field. Safe, fun, and fair.There are people in these reviews complaining about the staff, and if you read the reviews you will find most of them have not done much playing in other airsoft places, and are complaining about the refs doing their best to keep the place safe and fair.The truth is, keeping a large group of people following the rules in an honor based sport, which includes the possibility of injury if people do not follow basic safety rules is not an easy thing to do. I believe the staff here do just about as good a job as can be done given the challenges.Sure, if you are an adult, and a fair minded safety conscious person, the staff sitting everyone down and going over the rules and such when someone is getting out of hand can seem to be a bit much, but if you have been places where the staff do not go out of their way to make sure there is a safe and fair experience you can really start to appreciate the way Tac City staff handle these things. Your safety is not only conditional on you being safe, it also requires everyone else at the facility is safe as well.This is a big place for indoor CQB compared to the others around LA. I like the field, and if you are lucky enough to be there when the refs are running various scenarios and strategy games instead of just force on force this can be even more fun. The refs we have dealt with in our many visits have been interested foremost in safety, and secondly in people having fun. They respond when people complain about unfairness or things that are not safe, and all in all especially if your new to airsoft or have children that are trying to get into it, this is the place you want them to learn and the staff you want to trust with their safety.There are some small cons to this place, mainly the result of it being well attended by a mix of people, not all of whom I would invite if it was up to me, but given that it is the best of breed at least in our area, this place is the standard all the other CQB fields are held against.You can find other smaller places with particular strengths, and catering to particular styles of advanced play. For my family, Tac City defines safe, family friendly, large force, indoor CQB airsoft done right for all levels.

These people ruin the game for everyone, and you should not waste your time or money going unless you dont mind the hypocritical refs who shoot at players with a hot gun, and who try to take certain players out that they dont like.There was also a circumstance where a child was banned from the field when he wasnt even playing that session. For this particular case, if the refs would have bothered to further investigate, they would have realized that it was a case of mistaken identity, but they didnt care because they had already made their $20 profit.The best words to describe this joke of a facility is: hypocritical, unorganized, biased control freaks!

Good atmosphere kept very well maintained. clean area, bathrooms, big load out areas, and well working vending machines. also good variety in pro shop ranging anywhere from bbs to gear to even a whole new gun.BIGGEST problem at this place is their stupid, lazy, uncaring, disrespectful refs. the last time i went the ref said he didnt care about us and played on his phone for 10 minutes while we were all ready to play. he said that since he got payed by the hour he didnt care how long it took until the next game. ALSO intermission between games is crazy long. after each game is a 5 minute break following that we get called in and sit for 20 minutes waiting for the refs to start the game.I REALLY WISH THE OWNER WOULD SEE HOW IS AIRSOFT FIELD IS RUN WITHOUT HIS SUPERVISION. IF HE DID SOME EMPLOYEES WOULD NOT HAVE A GOOD DAY. if the owner is reading this, PLEASE choose your staff more wisely. also the regulars at the field do not follow he roes as they have made friends with the refs and are able to do whatever they feel like with no consequence at all. The place is also designed with unstable wood boards that are morning and give no flavor or excitement to the field. if this is the closest field to you and this is your only place to play at then so be it, but if you are from out of town, save your money and go play somewhere else.TRUST me i am a SEASONED air softer with over 15 years of playing under my belt. i know what a good airsoft field is and this is not one of them. aim not doing this review because i am mad for wasting my time and hard earned money there but intact i am writing this to save the future people that go thereDONTGO HERE.

Comment: This is one of the best CQB fields Ive ever been to. Although it may not be as big as the other Tac City in Fullerton, it has a superior quality field and (in my opinion) much friendlier and humble staff. Their safety briefing before the field opens exceeds all expectations. The staff makes you feel welcome and some guys crack a joke or two that actually make you laugh. The field itself feels like it is built more solid than Tac City Fullerton and with a more mindful layout for both teams, giving them equal opportunities for cover and movement. It may not have the same authenticity of Combat Center in Hollywood Sport but you hardly notice when youre out playing. The try-hard players come out and the game variations get a little more complex in the evening, so if you want a tougher game, stick around till the end.

Comment: They have great customer service making sure that everyone has a great time. They even seem fine with taking a loss on some things just to make sure that you are satisfied. The facility is huge (about 3 times bigger than their El Monte location) and well regulated by the referees. Tac City is the reason Im getting back into Airsoft after 7 years. This will most assuredly be someplace I go frequently and I hope to see you there.
