Comment: Very hard to get ahold of someone on the phone. Seems like their mechanics are NOT technically trained as their recording says as your on hold for ever and ever and ever. My truck has been there for 4 maybe even 5 times now for an air conditioning problem. It really shouldnt be that hard to fix, especially after replacing the major parts in an air conditioning unit. How does this place stay in business?

Comment: We had our truck there for repair for over a week, after the truck was fixed it broke down on the road again with the parts that they put in. That break down costed us a lot of money and time. The management trying to avoid all communication and does not respond. Just a horrible service all around. Every time my trucks go in for repairs, it takes a week minimum to do anything. No matter what you ask them, they just don’t care about the customer and your time. It’s been a over a month I have been trying to reach management and corporate, but no luck, no direct contacts could be found, they just make it hard for you to complain.They do need new management or more professional mechanics to do the work faster and more effective so no one brakes down after they install new parts…

I drop there on Wednesday 02/15/2023 and I went back to pick up my truck on Tuesday 02/21/2023 I get the key and go to the parking and saw my truck and still the oil is leaking from oil pan and they said truck is ready to go after 6 days they not fixed it and now they say leave the truck we will see it again. Comment: Took one of my trucks for low speed pressure, we were billed $18k, paid. Few hundred miles later, same issue, brought the truck back, we were advised to pay $2.5k to fix the issue. I tried to explain that if the second diagnosis is right, that makes the first one wrong and the $18k paid a waste. Tried to contact a Jason, he never responded. He appears to be the person in charge. After few days, they’ve decided to fx the problem at no charge. Few miles later, the problem still not fixed. Brought the truck again to them, after few days, they sent an email asking us to approve repairs for $3.5K. All parts and labor in the last estimate, word for word, were covered in the first $18K bill.Emailed Mr Boss Jason few times, zero response.In addition to this charade of blindly over charging and misdiagnosis, the weeks the truck spent sitting at TEC Equipment.Wondering if top managers ever think about litigation and class actions.

There was a gentle man trying to return an item and a grotesque female started to accuse the gentleman of trying to steal the items that he was trying to return. I couldnt believe what my eyes were witnessing. The whole thing ended with the female calling the cops and but the worst part that female took the item from the gentleman. They literally stole from a customer and dare to call the cops. I was very hesitant to buy parts from this location since in the past they always some how get my orders wrong. After this incident Im definitely never coming back. Beware of this location.

Comment: The place is nice very friendly got my truck in right away it needed a new clutch they told me they test drove it when I went to pick it up the clutch brake had not been adjusted could not get the tractor in gear so had to leave it another 24 hours for them to put it back in line to get the job finished correctly so I dont even know if they really test drove it Ive got about 10,000 mi on the new clutch seems to be working fine

This week our AC stopped working they wanted us to drop off the box truck on Tuesday, and they wont even look at it until Friday, then another week of lead time. SO much bad quality, and horrible customer service, they do not care if your operations is down, all they care is during the sell and you are writing checks.Truck Received: 10/202111/26/21, Bad radiator2/7/22- Bad batteries6/2/22 Ac Broken6/8/22 Truck is broken in Az five days waiting for a hose to be replaced. They cant give us an answer. Company is losing money as hours go buy.I dont know how someone can be profitable with this brank trucks. Lets see next month what breaks.

We dropped off our truck for repairs and one moth later when the driver comes to pick up the truck we are realizing that they damaged the front bumper, broke the side panel, broke the foglight AND they are not taking any responsibility for it by saying “we are not responsible for whatever happens to your truck”, (per Jason and his manager) in other words they can take your truck to a road test, do whatever they want with it and even damage your truck and not be responsible for it??? This is ridiculous, the highest level of a scam that can happen at a repair shop. Yet you claim that you take pride serving your customers, that you guarantee high-quality standards, that you deliver the service we deserve and repair our trucks in professional and timely manner?! WERE IS IT??? But for services department is nightmare trust me my friend.i bring my truck on 12/04 and for repair due to low power and some issue with regen services department was failed to send me the updates for days till I call them ask when should I pick up my truck. And they told me I need to put deposit before they can start. This is after a whole week. They don’t call. Not sending correct email to me. Even I reply them on email to process the repair. So I waste 1st week time there for nothing. Then I drive there to pay the whole bill ask them to do the repair asap. And during the time. No updates no calls. Nothing. Wait for another 3 days I called and guy name david told me they still wait me to pay the deposit. I told him I pay the whole amount already at last time I visit the shop with him. And they are not even start the repair for over 12 days. Then I have to wait. I ask to speak with manager and refuse for busy reason. That’s fine. I’ll wait then. Couple days later ask for states on the phone. I don’t know how the big company has so less people on it. Got wait like 10-15 mins every time. So they told me when merchants put the cover back it got broken. I will need to pay for it. I just want my truck back fast so fine. And wait. No parts. Okey. I was check couple time in next 1-2 days and finally lady told me they will get the parts next Monday or Tuesday as least so i wait. They at the day I called again and other one answer the phone told me they don’t have parts. No eta nothing. I decided to buy on my own and bring it to them. Because I can’t wait anymore. Bring the part over wait for another week to get the truck out. Take over 5 weeks for repair. It is okey I know Covid cause thing slow. But attitude and customer services is very important too. I hope owner will really think over about it.

He told me I had a couple of issues on my credit to fix but if I had 20k down it would work. Comment: Do not go to Service department they are ripping off peoples time and money .It is not my first time getting ripped off there, but let me tell you the story and anyone who is interested i can provide with proof .I took my 2020 Volvo there with head light and rain sensor problem on Wednesday 08/04/21 they were supposed to change my head light and rains sensor, but call me for the price . They never called and I contacted them on Friday 08/06/21 they said that they diagnosed the truck and it would be $1268 to get fix my head light and rain sensor they emailed me a scam pdf with that estimate ( but it was not an estimate to fix the truck it was estimate for me to approve their scam ) . Thinking I would get the truck fixed for $1268 but it was only to check my truck head light .The final Estimate for $3400 I got today Tuesday and when I declined that and asked to pickup my truck they said that I will need to pay $1268 after 2 hours of negotiation they are dropping their scam profit to $650. Im going to end up paying $650 for simple head light problem without probably them touching my unit and with my head light still not working .Let not forget it is 2020 VOLVO VNL 860.

They need to step up there “Quality control department” double check the technicians work. Truck was here for over two weeks was told no eta do to no oem parts. They won’t tell you they have aftermarket parts which they do.Always missing nuts and bolts broken off just terrible experience. The service rep Juan made things a lot easier, there is a miscommunication between dispatch and the technicians.

Comment: Had a little issue backing up once ina full moon, brought to shop, they said sensor and then they said clutch. Dont know how clutch went out at 300,000 miles. Truck still have transmission warranty. Ended up paying 4k plus after 1 week. Got truck back, hill assist light stays on and not working anymore. Cant afford to take it back and wait another week or 2.Bought a radiator from them, they said after market has 2 years warranty and oringal has 1 year warranty. I went with the aftermarket warranty. Exactly q year and 3 days radiator broke, call them up and they said only 1 year warranty. They gave me the number of the people that sold them the radiator, I called them up and they said only 1 year. They ended up selling me another radiator for $595, the same one that I paid $1,000 to volvo tech. Imagine that they almost double the price on the same radiator. After this review, they will ban me from buying parts. Stay away from this place if you can. So ma y bad reviews in here but management doesnt seem to care about what is going on. Corporate should take at look at the practice of volvo tech of fontana and disassociate volvo name from them.

I know it is a personal issues. The reason I am giving them one star is because they did not communicate with their night crew as to this so we could have known and planned accordingly. However, I was persistent and unsatisfied and got Greg Ham, the manager, involved. Greg, the shop foreman and myself sat down and I explained my issue in detail, which the service writer wouldnt have any of it, he wanted his techs to start from scratch and find the issue on my dime.After Greg got involved my real problem was found within the day and the truck was fixed by the next day.I had fuel pressure codes, one injector and six cups plus fuel lines were replaced.With Greg in the mix it was a good experience.Lucky 88s LLC

Comment: Got the clutch replaced on my truck. Cost a bit over 4,800 and they had it for 9 days they went way over the estimate. I was told it would be about 10 hours of labor to put in a new clutch, they billed for almost 20 hours, new mechanic that needed to use a manual? Apparently a test drive is not part of the check after repairs are done because after I started it and tried to put it in gear it would not go into gear. Night foreman pulled it into bay to check it over, after more than an hour he comes into waiting area and says it is ready. The mechanic that did the repairs did not fill the clutch hydraulic reservoir (a bit hard for a hydraulic clutch to work without hydraulic fluid), he also left a greasy shop towel on the floor, and greasy prints all over the steering wheel, door, and gearshift.Started settling all of our stuff back in to the truck and I can not find 3 bluetooth headsets, and the gps. They are not in the tote that I hide them in under the bed. Tear the entire truck apart look in every nook and cranny in case I put them someplace else. Then I sit in the drivers seat and notice that the gps mount is gone, and I know I left that in place. That is the missing item that tells me the other items have been stolen out of my truck. THANK YOU TEC VOLVO FOR LETTING SOMEONE STEAL STUFF OUT OF MY TRUCK!!!!

Prices - to be determined - my employer sent me here for parts. He has done business with TEC before and instructed me to have TEC call dispatch for payment. TEC wont accept a credit card over the phone - thats bizarre - this is the 21st Century, who doesnt accept credit cards? And from a corporate account? Staff was decent for the most part they just took forever I don’t know what was up but they said their computers were down and put them back 1 to 2 days but I was down for 6 days with my truck in shop for a couple bad parts in the exhaust system stopping the parked regen process. Idk I’d go here again I guess.

The first repair was very expensive.Had the truck back for less than 200 miles and we broke down again. $500 to tow it back and another 500 to get the trailer towed.They did not advise us well. All could have been avoided with proper advise. $28,000+ later, and we now have a truck worth $12,000.A new engine for half that could have been an option. But we were not advised, new injectors after the injector cups, not advised. Its the mechanics and his teams job to trouble shoot and advise the customer.

We specifically told them not to replace our batteries, because they were still under warranty, but they did it any way, and disposed of the ones they took out. We brought the truck in 12/20 for repairs, and they let so many people leave for the holidays that we didnt get our truck back for 2 weeks. They didnt even look at it the first week. We were lied to about when the estimate went out, then after assuring me it would be ready the following day, didnt even touch it. Comment: This is the worst experience Ive ever had witn a Volvo dealership! They are HORRIBLE!We got transmission issue in CA, and requested from TEC Equipment to check what is the issue. They checked almost 2 days, and asked from us to give them authorization to open the transmission. For what we asked how many days it’ll take to be repaired, because we had a load and we needed at least 3 days to delivery it. So there was too much words...........and lost time, money, nerves...........P. S. After that we just went to Universal Truck repair dealership, and the owner of this place, his name is Eddie said us what going on with truck, and gave us a good advices. Thanks!We can suggest to TEC Equipment to be honest, don’t waste customers/truckers time, to be done with repair on time, don’t overcharge money from the customers/truckers, BECAUSE of truck drivers job are not easy, PLEASE REMEMBER THAT!!!We’ll not recommend TEC Equipment to anyone, UNTIL they reconsider their omissions!Murat&NorahGoldway Trucking, Inc.

Comment: Unbelievably horrible. If you can get down the road, do it. These ppl hate their jobs, especially the old man at the service desk. Guy has an attitude, needs to get plowed in the face, yippy can tell hates his job and rude to everyone coming in. Talks to everyone like hes the only one that knows whats going on. Some sort of small man power trip. This is the second time I had to come and I just thought the first time was a fluke, nope. Same attitudes and same rediculous miserable ppl. Walked right back out, thats the last time I ever go back. Im happy going down the road to a better shop with better ppl. Oh, and the last experience, they tell everyone you need new batteries, its a scam. They got busted idk how many times. Tried telling me the same after I just replaced all 4 batteries a month before. Guess they dont even check. Dont waste your money here, takes days to diagnose before they even start, then they hold it hostage knowing theres nothing you can do. Ive been to a few other Volvo dealers and this in comparison this is the only bad one ice ever been to.

Comment: The parts department is fine. But there repair department is streight up a scam. They kept my truck for a week & it was only a 8 hours job. The ac came.back not put togather and more broken then when it went in. I had fuel missing from my tank and the driver side fuel cap had been switch out for 1 that leaked. I will never goo back the there service department again.

Comment: RUN AWAY FROM THIS PLACE AS FAST AS YOU CAN This has to be the very worst shop I have ever been around it has taken them three weeks to do the work on my friends truck then when we went to pick it up the truck was finished at 00:01 we arrived to pay the bill at 09:00 they havent done the paperwork now its after 13:00 and they are still working on the bill. The whole time the truck is in their shop they had the wrong truck number and Vin number every time we went to check the progress of the work it took a long time to find it in their computer because the never fixed the numbersWe finally got out of there at 14:30It has been a week now and the truck is running fine so the work performed seems okay but I would not ever recommend this business they will cheat you

Comment: The ONLY reason for 2 stars is the service desk personnel are pleasant to deal with and the drivers lounge is decent. As far as service work goes this place sucks, been here twice in the last year and both times they kept my truck for at least a week on work that should have been done in 2 days max. The last time I was there it was a blown turbo, they kept the truck from Sunday night til Friday morning and the turbo blew again before I got home to NC. The dealer in NC knew that TEC screwed something up but couldnt prove it. The only saving grace in the whole situation was it was covered under warranty. AVOID IF POSSIBLE

Comment: The dealership tried to find ways to charge us for stuff covered under the warranty and when we complained about it and did not want to do the repair with them, they charged an overinflated price for the diagnosis. Please avoid this place. While there, there were numerous people complaining of the same problem. We have dealt with a lot of different dealerships and repair shops, but this is by far our worst experience.

After 2 weeks of misdiagnosis and loss revenue and unnessary repairs turns out it was a cracked 7th fuel injector. Their area service manager fixed the injector free of charge??? Im no mechanic but shouldnt that have been fixed 1st...

Comment: Weve dropped off quite a few tractors here for regular maintenance and repairs. We do this on our drivers off time (a week or more) and every time we come to pick up the tractor we get the we have not finished yet and often they have not started. This is even after multiple reminder calls that the tractor must be ready by a specific date and time. We never receive calls that they are behind or delayed. Its always after we arrive or call the day of to make payment when we find out were just starting.

Comment: Dropped it off for inspection, said a power steering reservoir was leaking(just a worn hose ), steering shaft was worn, air brake protection was bad (easy fix), Took my truck to my normal shop, fixed the issues, installed new parts.They asked how much I paid for the labor and parts, told them about $300.00 for parts, $50 for labor . Called me two days later, all of the sudden my rear diff is leaking, my power steering pump is leaking, bad air compressor, dip stick o-ring is bad. Oh and that the repairs that were made were not up to the specs.And they also tried to charge another fellow trucker half hours work to tighten one bolt on one shock of his truck, and I guess another 3 hours to tighten one clamp in the exhaust system. TEC charges $160 per hour. All in all wanted to charge the man over $600 to fix a clamp and tighten a bolt. You must be kidding.

Comment: Dropped tractor off to have A/C repaired & annual inspection done. They said tractor required $2500 in work to pass inspection. Which is strange since tractor had passed a level 1 D.O.T. just 3 days prior. Asked them to just repair A/C. Picked tractor up late Thursday night. Friday morning, no A/C. Call and ask to bring it in so they can fix it and was told It was working when they finished it on Wednesday afternoon. Like its not our problem. You can bring it back in, but we wont look at it until Monday Tech walked around in my tractor with oily/greasy boots on as well. So I have some floor scrubbing to look forward to.
