Comment: We took our truck for some repairs and to make a long story short, after an over 24k bill repair ( which we agreed) Im finding missing bolts, loose parts in our truck. Radiator has 2 main bolts holding it in place one was missing and the other was loose. Brackets holding the air conditioning lines were placed backwards, windshield wipers were working perfectly fine and now they are not, they removed some of the interior plastic panels for repairs and were placed back wrong . Totally unprofessional and lazy workmanship for the money they charge and to be a Volvo dealer . I changed the radiator once before on this truck myself and did a better job, and Im not a mechanic. Also 80% of the time they dont have the parts needed. I would expect such a poor work quality from non professional mechanic, not from a manufacturer dealer. Go somewhere elseJan 2024 edit. Hard to believe but still finding issues with the repairs made by Tec of California Oakland.1# They replaced the 4 batteries on truck AND LEFT THEM LOOSE! Truck died while on the road, when I opened the battery compartment, the bracket holding batteries in place screws were loose and as a consequence batteries shifted and got loose.2# They replaced the steering pump and forgot to fill it with oil!! Noticed a humming sound when turning at low speeds, checked the oil reservoir and it was dry. Im surprised pump didnt burned out. It was so ridiculous that I took time out of my work day to stop by and talked with the service manager to make sure he was aware of these issues.Neve seen such a level of ineptitude.

Comment: DO NOT GO HERE. Complete scam .I was quoted 8K for a job that was no more than 3,500. I ended up paying over $500 for a diagnosis that should have been $150 max !! They charged me $450 for an oil change that should have been around $300. Absolutely ridiculous prices !! Do not spend your time or money here, not worth it, drive 5 mins for quarter of the price !!!!

I had a problem with speedometer, they took my truck hold it for 4 hours and gave me an estimate $1200 just for diagnostic, electrical problem they said, I rejected this and paid $400 for the time that they hold the truck, went to shop in Sacramento and they fixed in one hour for $135, how are you explain this TEC?

Comment: Be aware of this place in 2019 I went to this place to do first tuneup and they charged me $1080 for tuneup,after 300 miles I did second tuneup in other shop and the mechanic asked if I did first tuneup?he told me nobody tuned up your engine,now I have problem with my engine!!!one more thing after the guy who did tuneup, I checked after him and one bolt from valves head cover wasn’t tight at all and the houses wich was disconnected he didn’t connect them properly.I’m very disappointed

Comment: Being a regular customer to this office since a few years now, 2 visits to the oakland location 04/13/19 & 04/15/19 has been very dis-satisfying and dismaying because of rash/humiliating behaviour of the sales department employ.Brought over 3 unused Batteries to return and the guy at the counter was like i think you did something to the batteries so i cant take them backi was like what do you think i would have have done to it? He was like i am not sure and my manager is not in so come back monday and speak to my manager I asked him his name and hos answer was the guy with the raiders capI mean, this is how professional you guys are? Please explain what kind of response is this? I lest a voice message with the manager and am still waiting for the response. Comment: I would rate this place a zero if I could. My husband had a clutch repair fail twice from their Portland location. He broke down in Oakland with the same clutch issue. The managers at the Oakland store won’t even honor the warranty from what the Portland guys did. Don’t waste your time or money here, you’ll just break down again. Now my husband has been down three weeks, and he has to find a new repair shop that will hopefully fix the the problem correctly.

Comment: I dont appreciate erroneous fees and bogus charges. Especially after we towed in our unit with the driver for a quick repair and ended up with a four day delay in service. For lack of better words, this location utilizes nickel & dime with a splash of bait & switch approach. I dont typically write reviews, however occasions like this prompt me to do so. After repairs were finally completed, we received the invoice where I noticed two items wrongly billed. The only reason for two stars is they made an attempt to make it right and removed one erroneous fee.Complaints in this review:1. Downtime.2. Erroneous charges.3. Kept truck unlocked with drivers valuables inside cab and sleeping berth (un-attendant) .
