My technician was very responsive and fixed my issue with my AC unit I’m so thankful since weve had two weeks of 90 degree weather. Good quality service, very polite and professional, and right on time. Thanks for your service Tech IV heating and cooling.

JUST SAY NO! My husband purchased an Ecobee4 Smart Thermostat in February 2019. He called Tech IV and proceeded to explain the type of thermostat we bought and we needed a professional to come and install it for us. Never was it explained to him that they did not sell or work with Ecobees and that they were not familiar with this brand. He was told they could come out and do the installation, which would run about $100. Two technicians came out at the agreed upon time, but looking tired and hungover. One of the men, after walking inside, went back out and just sat in their vehicle. It was quickly obvious that the other man did not know how to install the thermostat as he stood at the counter reading the installation manual. 2 hours later the thermostat was installed and a bill was presented for $250. My husband paid $260 cash, the tech didnt have change so they ended up with a small tip. There seemed to be no issues with the thermostat or furnace. Now that MI summer is here and we need to run the ac, we knew there was a problem. The fan was continuously running without the relief of cool air. After checking the ac unit and realizing it wasnt running, he gave Tech IV a call. The man who answered the phone wanted to know what the thermostat was displaying. We told him it was an Ecobee and he quickly interrupted and said they didnt know anything about those and dont sell them. We asked why they came out to do the installation and charged us $260 if they dont work with Ecobees? He yelled at us asking why did we buy an Ecobee?! He also told us he was not the one who installed it. How would he even know, when he failed to ask our name or when we had the work done? He proceeded to get aggravated and continued raising his voice. My husband said he would be calling another company to get this problem fixed all because we werent informed that your company didnt work with Ecobees.A different Heating & Cooling company came out and found that a wire was not hooked up properly by Tech IV. $137 for this quick visit.$397, in tech visits, later the thermostat is finally working probably.
I have used Bob and Tech IV heating and cooling for many years. I own an air duct cleaning company and Tech IV gets all our work. They have taken great care of me, my family, and my customers. 5 stars in my book.Thanks Tech IV!
The person in the office. I believe her name was Crystal ( forgive me if it isnt) was very knowledgable, professional and helpful. They gave me an estimate right away. The next day came to measure and 2 days later they installed a new a/c unit. The techs that came to my house were very personable and professional. They did an excellent job. I own a business and my landlord always uses tech iv for his hvac needs. They didnt disappoint.
Poor pool heater repair service. Techs are lazy (my opinion). Will just recommend you buy a new one. Been using them for years, but something has changed for the worse. Find someone who wants the work. Spoke to owner. Very arrogant and unresponsive.

Tech IV showed up in a timely manner, quickly identified the issues with my heat pump and was able to recommend a solution and a few options for me to pursue.

I have used Tech IV for a new furnace, tankless water heater, regular maintenance and will be using them for HVAC expansion. Easy, quick, painless, professional.
These guys are unbelievably bad... call them in to quote out how much top repair an A/C unit. the guy shows up, spends ten minute fixes it then writes up NO Charge on my paper work. I couldnt believe it. Bickered with him that he needed to get paid, he said issue was so minor not to worry about it. 2 months later I get billed $341.00 for a repair and get threatened with lawsuit. DO NOT USE THESE GUYS!!!!

I was told they would have my robotic pool cleaner done in 10 days. Called after 2 weeks no one knew when the manager would have time to look at it when I was told by him 10 days . Called every week with no call back for 2 months finally just picked it up he never even looked at it . Waste of time don’t use this place
Watch out! these people are scammers... sending me letters trying to collect on something i have never called out. these insane people do not have my signature on an invoice and are making all kinds of threats. They are extremely rude and aggressive people. They are making threats to slander title when they do not have a signed contract... heads up to the owner of this extortion operation... if you do that you will be served with a lawsuit for slander of title. I will be taking this to all of the proper legal channels and make sure everyone knows BEWARE!!!

2020-06-30Called another well known local HVAC company and paid a service call for the guy to take a look at my furnace and determine it too old to bother with basically. Contacted a friend who recommended Tech IV. Bob understood problem immediately. While he also acknowledged that the furnace is ancient; he still worked to fix the issue. He obviously knew what he was looking at and what he was doing. I felt confident that I was in good hands! And I appreciated that he was willing to work instead of just trying to sell a new unit.

2021-05-29CUSTOMERS BEWARE! First I was charged $377 to clean my AC with an old broom and replace my brand new thermostat which was not broken! Then they tried to schedule an appointment for next week so they could charge me another $500 to fix the cord to my AC which was installed improperly by them last year! (The cord is hanging from my basement ceiling instead of neatly secured over the beams) They actually BLAMED the previous homeowner! They said the reason my cord was installed improperly is because the crew saw 2 mice in the basement and were unable to finish their job! I was actually told by the owner that 2 grown men were afraid of 2 mice and that is why my AC cord was not installed properly!!! Even though my AC is still under warranty they tried to charge $500 to secure the cord! (The cord they installed improperly!) I am so appalled and disgusted that I forgot to mention he put the batteries in my thermostat upside down after dropping it. So I had to get the air working myself after he left because the company was too busy to send him back! DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE CROOKED AND DISHONEST. They also badmouthed the previous homeowner who had difficulty going down basement stairs because he was obese! They made fun of him because he had mice. WHAT A BUNCH OF LOSERS!

2019-01-15My furnace kept turning off and on intermittently, a quick Google search said I may need my sensor cleaned, called Tech IV and they had someone out here within an hour to have it cleaned at an affordable price! Steve was absolutely knowledgeable in his craft and pleasant, May I also add that he had shoe covers which was a pleasant surprise. I look forward to having them service/clean my air conditioning unit in late spring.
