Comment: Really not satisfied with their services. They did a good job with the lighting part for my daughters sweet 16th. But they dropped the ball on giving us enough time to upload our music to their website. The account was never opened up to do so until a week before the party. Which we told Jay, a more than a month before the party we didnt have access. So they didnt play the songs we wanted. The speakers were not loud enough when we did the speeches no one could hear us. Especially toward halfway back of the room. The music was not loud either. I had to ask the dj to put it louder twice. And still, my people were complaining about putting the volume up. When we did the father-daughter dance we were supposed to get fog when we danced. They released the fog for my wife and daughter dance. Plus the fog didnt even reach far enough on the dance floor it was sad to see the special moments didnt come out they way it was to look like or be. For the money, we spent it was disappointing. Not only the money but this was once in a lifetime moment.right now.This is a reply. To Jays replyJay, I did address these issues about not being able to login. A month before the event. The day we went into your office to sign the contract for this event. And I was trying to deal with it right then and there. This was a big problem for my daughter she wanted the music she wanted to hear. So thats why that day I tried to login in front of you. All you said that I couldnt do it from a phone it had to be from a desktop. Anyways you guys drop the ball. None of my guest could hear the speeches that were giving that day. Even after I had to tell the dj to put up the volume up so people could hear. I shouldnt have to tell someone who supposedly does this for a living. Anyways there is nothing you or your company will compensate for my daughter special day. All I have to say to the next double check everything before you sign a contract. Once your day comes and its over. You dont get another shot at your special day.

A friend of mine recommended The DJay Company, specifically mentioning someone named Jay who had provided excellent service in the past.I decided to give them a call and Jay answered on the second ring. I explained my situation and he immediately reassured me that everything would be taken care of. He promptly set up a Zoom meeting and began working on the arrangements.To my surprise and delight, Jay himself showed up on the day of the event instead of sending one of his DJs. He introduced himself and then proceeded to rock the party.Everything was flawless. Jay had not only prepared a playlist, but he had also created a master playlist to ensure every detail was covered. With the help of Jay and his team, along with some additional assistance, my grandsons first birthday turned out to be the best!I cannot recommend The DJay Company enough. They are more than just a DJ company; they genuinely care about their clients and go above and beyond to make sure everything goes smoothly. As a bonus, Jay even arranged for some ponies for the little kids to ride on.Jay and his team truly are the best!

He played the wrong song for my wifes walkout song, disregarded our schedule and guided people into the dining room through a completely different door so they dodged our seating chart and guest book, and worst of all he tried to skip the father daughter dance and tried to blame us because he couldnt find our song. His system for uploading songs is archaic and instead of him asking for clarification if he doesnt understand what song you want or if he cant find it he will just skip it. He was certainly affordabe though.

Comment: This DJ company was a disaster on many different levels. We hired him and paid an extra $300 for generators to run the setup and then paid an extra $500 for a sparkler send off. He did not bring the generators required for what we paid him for despite having communicated to him directly and through our wedding planner what our needs were so we were not able to have the sparkler send off that we were really looking forward to. On top of being robbed that experience at our wedding, he also decided to keep our $500. He refused to refund us the money even when he explained that he has other weddings booked and he can use our unused sparklers for them.In terms of the music, he had us fill out our wedding song requests, but didnt use them at all. I went up to him 4 times during our ceremony because he was playing terrible music and people were not dancing. Each time I gave him specific instructions such as please dont play EDM music and he did not listen. After speaking to him 4 different times he responded in an annoyed tone Ill just stick to your list of songs since he knew he had been completely ignoring them up until that point. He also played multiple songs multiple times at our wedding which was really lazy, ridiculous, and completely obvious to even our drunk guests. Having good dancing/music at the wedding was one of our biggest priorities and hardly anyone danced at our wedding until he finally started listening to our requests. I would say this company is completely unprofessional and did not come close to delivering any kind of service worth $2,000. Hiring this company was the only regret of our wedding.

Comment: So before I start, I WILL say overall people danced and they were affordable! Additionally, I was always able to get in communication with them. I am not sure if I just have high standards as someone who loves music and loves to dance but I wasn’t completely happy for my wedding day (most important day of my life). They utilize a website tool where you choose music to “guide” them. Well, our DJ was way OFF at the START of the night, he confused old school reggae with hip hop, as well as kicked off our wedding with a song on my “ DO NOT PLAY” list, at which once I spoke to him- he quickly corrected. However; he did not seem prepared for the music I wanted. He did play mostly Latin music which is what we wanted but we ALSO wanted country and a hint of pop and disco. I hired this company about a year in advanced and continued to stress that the music was the MOST important aspect for me and I will admit there were times I told my groom- I didn’t want to dance. Also- I wanted RAGGAE music for my dinner hour and yes he played it AFTER I told him but he co to yes to play covers…. That is not old SCHOOL RAGGAE (I.e. bob Marley).Again, they were affordable, had an awesome Photo Booth….but overall wasn’t on the same page I was day of the wedding which is not professional to me. I would recommend if you are a very hands off type of Bride and looking for an affordable DJ. They got the Job done but I was not impressed and pretty annoyed when they played songs I specifically asked not to. Again, appreciate their service but would have appreciated a digger deep into their website tool.

He Worked with my budget worked with any additions to the packet and gave me even a second DJ so the transition would be smooth from the outside reception to the indoor club due to a noise ordinance.But when it came down to the most important part, the actual wedding, I was utterly disappointed. He played good music while we were outside and the Sparklers were awesome but once we went into the club, for one, we didn’t get that 2nd DJ (who was suppose to be more of a club dj) and two, it seemed to us he played certain music so that everyone wanted to leave so he could go home…We asked him to play numerous songs of bad bunny, j balvin etc. and he deliberately played the worst songs he could find of them. As a big DJ company that claimed they knew how to throw a party, they definitely knew how to kill a party.It’s sad I had to leave this review but it also makes me sad that one of the most important things about throwing a wedding is music and they ruined that for us.

Comment: We booked their all inclusive package on our wedding last St. Pattys day (DJ, MC & Lighting). They have a wedding planning website where I chose the Spotify playlist or song to play on the reception (Intro, Dinner, Cake Cutting, Bouquet Toss music etc.) I also provided the Timeline and Bridal Party info on the portal. It was easy and convenient. All the guests had fun especially with the open dancing.Gobo was provided with the initial of our surname. It will be an additional fee if its customized. Uplighting and Pinspotting for the cake were provided as well. However, uplighting was dark pink but not soft blush as I have discussed.We requested for their Audio Visual services for our slideshow which is not part of the package (projector and screen). They were not able to play as the HDMI converter that we brought did not work. We brought our own Macbook. It would be nice if we had just send them a link/copy of the video and played it using their own equipment.There should have been at least a backup plan in situations like this. We still paid for the full price for the setup.Overall, the wedding package is reasonable and everybody had a great time minus the slideshow.

I loved that I could personalize anything as much as I wanted, or be as general as I wanted and still have everything go smoothly. 10 stars!

Comment: This is a fair review from using this company at our wedding. There were a few things done to our satisfaction, but overall the DJ was the worst part of our wedding and I would not recommend using this company.In short - The microphone sound was spotty and not acceptable during the ceremony. The DJ did not want to discuss the order of the reception beforehand which caused problems later, he was missing completely or needed to be reminded to initiate important transitions, did not bring the equipment we agreed upon, and played songs we had on the do not play list.For more specifics read on:Ceremony: Did not have the microphone set up on time for the ceremony to begin so our wedding coordinator and officiant left the wedding party to talk about it and figure it out at the last minute. Once the ceremony began the officiant was speaking and you couldn’t hear him because sound kept going in and out. There was no way for the audience to hear the bride and groom so we were awkwardly trying to talk into the officiant’s headset.To be fair - the songs we selected were played and overall I don’t think people noticed the mishaps as much as we did.Reception meal service - once the meal was underway we wanted to go around and talk with each table after finishing eating - but we wanted to check with the DJ before doing this to make sure we knew the timeline. We looked for him for about 15 minutes and he was not to be found so we started going around to tables. When we finally found him and asked what was next he did not know and we had to tell him - this is why it would have been helpful to go over things before the rehearsal began. When I tried he was condescending and said things like “Oh just enjoy your night”.. etc.Toasts - he did not have the names of those giving toasts so we had to keep telling him each one before they could be announced.First dance, B/FOB and G/MOG dance - This was ok but it went way too long. We were hoping to dance for maybe 30 seconds but it was the whole 3-4 minute song.Song to bride - As the groom I was going to play a song on guitar I wrote for the bride. Beforehand the DJ told me there would be a mic stand but he did not bring it. He also told me I could not plug in my guitar, so I went through the trouble of brining my own amp. Once the song started the sound wasnt on the guitar so I played on anyway. Eventually he got the sound on really loud so I stopped the song to fix it on my guitar. It did not go as planned and is the worst memory of the night for me.Happy birthday to MOG (surprise) - we wanted to have a cake for the MOG because it was her birthday but we had to keep reminding and brining it up to make sure it happened.Open dancing / cake cutting - overall this was fine. He did a good job telling people we were cutting the cake. The only problem with open dancing was that there were songs played that we had on the “do not play” list.

He was a very upbeat and motivational DJ who stirred the dance floor and was able to play a wide array of music to cater to all age groups. The DJ was complemented extremely well with the photobooth, which was very easy to run.

I see a bunch of fake negative reviews all at the same time from reviewers with little or no other review activity to show for.Check them out for yourself before believing anonymous reviews online. We had nothing but good things to say for this company and their production value. I only wish I would have done a review a year ago!

Comment: We hired The D’Jay company for our Cinco De Mayo party. They were fantastic!! He showed up early to make sure all was set up correctly, verified the evenings agenda, which he totally had all dialed in, and packed up as the last guest was leaving. Wide selection of music, Jay kept changing it up, took requests, and knew when to change the music to fit the evening. Socializing to Dinner to dancing to wind down. The lights made my backyard look like a wedding venue, the photo booth was easy and Jay was just a really fun person!!! He looked like he was having just as much fun as the guests which is exactly what you want from a professional DJ. Jay will be my “go to” from here on out!!!!

Comment: We have used the DJay company MANY TIMES - for my nieces wedding, many charitable and school events, backyard parties, etc. They have done EVERYTHING from DJ to lighting to assisting us in getting Trio ensembles and renting furniture! You name it, they do it! They were the utmost professionals! They were extremely responsive and their online system made planning our events BEYOND easy and stress-free! They are always on time and have gotten our parties going!!! I recommend them all of the time! I dont tend to write many reviews, but felt this one deserved the time!

Comment: RUN AWAY BEFORE YOU SIGN ANY CONTRACT WITH THEM!!!!They obvisouly got connections with some coordinators. They will show their passion and fake kindness to get in touch with you. They said they are professional and experienced DJ but they are absolutely not!! They said their bad review was all about the bad customers they had! They blame on the customers! They said the customers didnt gave them the playlist on time which was a BIG LIE! They will ruin your wedding and they dont even act like they care!We wanted to know what kind of dancing lights he could provide, he said, whatever you see on the website. Hes not being reponsive but rude! And guess what? We got NO lights at all on our wedding. Thanks to The D Jay Company!Once you sign the contract and pay them, they will ignore your emails and calls. We both tried to contact them several times, they never reply. Our coordinator did tried to contact them several times and no one answered. We finally get contact with them after like 15 times of attempt, Jay sound not happy and he said hes not working on that day, why are you calling me? And it was on Tue during daytime.They said all the couples should give them the playlist 10 days before the wedding and we did. But he played his own selection of music instead. Jay said YouTube links are OK too. And guess what? He did only 2 out of 15 of them with YouTube commercials during our wedding. What a joke!They asked us to provide our customized songs by USB, and we asked them to give it back to us. But they disappeared again and never reply.They are liars and they will ruin your wedding or any special event! DO NOT believe what they are telling you. DO NOT look at the reviews on weddingwire. They can delete reviews on weddingwire and thats the reason they are having high ratings.Again, RUN AWAY from The D Jay Company unless you want a horrible DJ to ruin your event!

Comment: We cannot explain how appreciative we are for Jay! I was blessed enough to meet him during my bachelor party a week away from my wedding, still in need of a DJ. We were able to connect because of his great personality and found out he was the owner of the company! He made a way to get me a great package for DJ and Photobooth so I had to have him there! The day of my wedding he was there early, went above and beyond what we expected. My wife and I had no idea what songs to request but because of his INCREDIBLE skills he saved the wedding amd everyone had a blast! Thank you DJay company!!!! You guys are amazing!

Comment: We went with D Jay on the recommendation of our event planner. We were a little hesitant at first, since we needed a DJ with an understanding of Indian/Bollywood music - our event was an Indian wedding reception. We neednt have worried. From beginning to end, Jay and his crew were absolutely great to work with - they answered all our questions fully and very promptly. The initial process was very facile, with online info-gathering. This allowed us to narrow down the sort of music we wanted at various times. One of Jays folks - Katelin - was very helpful in making any changes we wanted. We had the lighting, AV and photo booth through them as well, and we got a very good overall deal. At the beginning of the event, we found that our AV may not work optimally, and Jay changed his plans immediately, and suggested a solution that was better than our original plan. All in all, we got a great DJ for our event, as evidenced by the great fun all our guests had. Thanks Jay - you guys helped our night become a memorable one!!!

Comment: My husband and I give 5 stars all around for the D Jay Company. We were very impressed with everything they provided. The lighting, monogram on the dance floor, photo booth, and DJ Freddy were excellent. DJ Freddy got everyone on the dance floor. I think this is the first wedding Ive seen everyone dancing. We got so many compliments on how much our guest enjoyed the DJ. Freddy was so easy going. We had a changed of song for the mother and groom dance and added a friend of the bride dance and he made those changes with no hesitation. There is no doubt that we will use the DJay Company for our entertainment needs and recommend them to anyone that needs a DJ. The whole night was perfect and we definitely are very thankful for the awesome job DJ Freddy did. Our guest also loved the photo booth. The photo booth is a must. We did the photo booth instead of wedding favors. No one can go wrong using the DJay Company!Happy Bride and Groom!
