The staff, from the estimate to the paint crew, were professional and courteous. The estimate included references and proof of insurance before work began. Mike was available to answer all our questions.The crew painted the house in two days and left no mess afterward. They successfully executed everything that was needed. The Exterior Painters did an exceptional job painting the trim on my house. From start to finish, the entire staff were very polite and professional. Both the power wash, and painting were completed in one day each, along with extra wood that needed to be replaced. We were very impressed with the workmanship, and would not hesitate to recommend The Exterior Painters to others.
Very disappointed in their customer service. We were awakened by the sound of ladders being tossed against our house. No notification and the crew was unable to say more than call the office. When finished we asked them about painting the front door which was part of our contract but they seemed confused. I received a bill promptly Monday morning but no one had verified that the job was complete. The door was not painted and garage door weather stripping was not installed. I had to call to let them know that these items were not done. I would expect as a business you would verify work has been done before you send an invoice.
The entire experience from start to finish was outstanding. The Exterior Painters team did an excellent job in communication on the status of my project. Lori was very responsive to our requests in picking out the perfect colors. Any change in the timing of my project or the cost was communicated to me in advance and my project was done ahead of schedule.All of the work was exceptional and I would highly recommend this team for your exterior painting needs and this is coming from a son of a painter.
Patrick was awesome with helping us get our project started! Lori was great and super helpful with color consulting. Power washing and painting were done in 2 days with virtually no disruption to our schedule as well, which was fabulous. Our house is a single level, older 1969 home with cement tile siding and it now looks modern and brand new! We are so so happy with the results! Thank you guys so much!

In 2021 my wife and I tried to get our house painted and got an estimate from the exterior painters. We were very pleased with the service from our salesperson at the time. Unfortunately, we were not able to do the work because there was a product that was unavailable in the market. After a miscommunication was resolved and everybody was satisfied, we decided to pause the work until this year. Not only did they do a great job painting but they did a great job cleaning up and been really bent over backwards to put in the gutters and do it on the same day resolving a challenge that had come up during the painting. I totally recommend these guys. Theyre a top-notch organization and very fair. Our salesman Mike really took care of us.

We hired The Exterior Painters to paint the exterior of our home as well as replace our porch beams for some updated wooden ones. Rob was our estimator and from start to finish he was professional, responsive, and easy to work with. The painting crew was also incredible. They were clean, thorough, and very talented with the work they bring forth. After two days of work we had a brand new looking home! After the job was done Rob even came out to make sure we were happy with everything and found some quick touch ups that he took the time to do right on the spot by himself. We’re so thankful we choose this company!

Dealing with contractors can be frustrating to say the least, but this crew and company, Pat, Laurie, Sarah and work crew could not have been better. There were some scheduling issue but this team was on it and resolved it quickly. I have and will continue to recommend Exterior Painters. They did a good job and customer communication was timely This was a large job painting an entire house. The work crew never once took out there cell phones like you see with other contractor crews and text and goof off. This team was determined to tackle this job and complete it timely and properly.

I called today to get an estimate on a an outside spiral staircase that leads up to my second floor patio. It has a couple of rust spots and the whole thing needs to be painted. I spoke with Melissa and she told me that they only paint whole houses and this was too small of a job! I was shocked!
From start to end a top notch company. Very good communication from sales, scheduling the free paint color consultation, pre-paint cleaning, the actual painting and follow-up after the job. There was a small issue and it was taken care of promptly. The paint crew was outstanding. On time, hard working, cleaned up and most importantly did a great job!!!
Im extremely happy with the work these guys did. For starters, its been nearly impossible to even get any business to return your calls, but they answered right away. We made an appointment with the next few days. They showed up right on time. Then we met with their color consultant a few days afteracceptingtheir quote, again right on schedule. Our job was scheduled within a week after that. The guy came out and powerwashed everything a few days before the painting crew got to work. The painting crew was fantastic. 2 guys, super nice, and very efficient! They had some wood to replace due to rotting, they called everything, and they were already starting to paint by 11am. They would have easily finished in one day, but they had to stop a little early because of a storm moving in. They were back the next morning, and not only finished everything from the day before, but touched up all the spots that needed it before I even had point them out. By the time they left, there was not even the tiniest scrap of masking tape anywhere to be found. The only sign they ever here is that house was beautifully painted!
We used The Exterior Painters to paint our outside trim and doors. They also replaced some soffit boards without issue. The overall process was pretty straight forward, a rep came to our house to give an initial quote, we then agreed and were put on the books. Within a few weeks a color specialist called us to setup a date/time to come to our house and help pick out the 3 colors we get to use (quite happy with this service, she was very good). After that, a few more week go by until a crew comes out to pressure wash the exterior in prep for paint, which led to the actual work being performed about two weeks later. The paint crew was two gentlemen, they were courteous and professional. They did a good job and picked up when they were done.Overall I guess the most important part is I would likely use The Exterior Painters again in the future, when that time comes back around again.

Rob, Ronaldo, and the Exterior Painters team were great to work with and the result was very good. When Rob walked around the house for the original quote, he was thoughtful and thorough. We went through the entire house and he gave us recommendations and suggestions regarding how the exterior can be repaired. We appreciated his insight and he was eager to share his knowledge. Exterior Painters also kept us up to date regarding the timing of the project and any delays if there were any. The execution of the project was also very pleasant. The painting team was very receptive to get the job done in the best way. Ronaldo and his team were in constant communication with us, setting expectations, asking for feedback. The painting team were neat and tidy, they left no trace behind. Asking for touch ups here in there upon the final walk through was also easy. Overall, we are very happy with the outcome!

A neighbor just had their house painted by The Exterior Painters crew. We were not only impressed with the results, we noticed how diligent and efficient the team worked. Their protective taping job around windows, doors and trim was part of the process that specially caught our eye.The neighbors are very happy and highly recommended The Exterior Painters. After 10 years since our last painting and 21-year-old gutters that were leaking more than they were diverting, we needed paint and significant wood repairs along with new gutters. We performed our due diligence and received several quotes, The Exterior Painters were the only ones that gave an immediate quote that clearly stated the wood repair, paint, and gutters as independent line items. They even provided a color design consultant as a part of their service. We had to guess with other painters as to what our total wood repair would ultimately cost. Another painter did not offer wood repair service at all; we would have to contract for that separately.The Exterior Painters team spent an entire day just on wood repair and caulking and did an amazing job. There were soffits, critter entries, and a south-facing bay window/sliding door that had been hammered by the sun and inconveniently covered by part of the deck; they fixed it all. The team completely cleaned up the workplace both days.We are extremely happy with the results. The house looks great. Attention to detail is evident in all steps of the process. We highly recommend The Exterior Painters team.

We received an emailed price quote before Patrick even left the driveway, Sarah answered all our questions very quickly and thoroughly before work began, and color consultant Lori was knowledgeable and very helpful.The team moves quickly from quote to finish, so you don’t feel like your project is lost in the backlog somewhere. Our project was done in less than a day (they had to return for touch ups the next day which took about an hour), and they did their best to minimize moving through the landscaping by the house - they were very careful with a plant on a trellis leaning on the side of the house!Patrick joined the team for a final walk through inspection and ensured we were satisfied with the work before leaving.Professional staff, good prices, great work! We had the wood trim on our house and doors painted by Exterior Painters. They provide a color consultant to help choose the colors, power wash, fix nail pops and replaced the rotted wood and painted. It was very efficient and the painting was done in one day and they did an amazing job. We had 3 neighbors ask for their info. We had an issue with the paint on the garage door sticking to the rubber seal which ended up causing the door to dent in one panel. We called them and they immediately had a garage door company contact us for replacement. I highly recommend them!

This contractor was recommended on Nextdoor Neighbor. I also checked out 2 other exterior paint contractors that were recommended. I am happy that I chose The Exterior Painters.Their customer service was superb. They responded quickly to phone calls, emails and texts and they were extremely accommodating. Loved the fact that they offered a color consultant as we were looking for a change. Also, unlike so many other contractors that we have dealt with in the past, this crew was quiet (no yelling and loud music, etc.). The crew worked long hours to get the job done. We were very happy with the end result.The only reason I did not give them 5 stars is because they did not sand the areas where they scraped peeling paint so that it would blend in with the new paint job - you can see those areas. Having said that, I dont know if another company would have done that?I would use this company again.

I cannot say enough good things about The Exterior Painters. I have dealt with so many construction companies, contractors, or handymen and nobody has ever come close to this company. From the bidding process, flexibility with the schedule, and then the actual work. Patrick was the easiest and nicest guy I’ve ever dealt with in regards to my home. I have never seen anyone work as well and as hard as Jimmy and his crew. Everyone was always on time. There was communication every single day. There was actual passion and pride in the work they were doing. I can honestly say that they have made a customer for life as there is no need to get multiple quotes anymore for the jobs they perform.
The BEST! Super professional. Did an amazing job on our house. Came a week before painting to do the prep - repaired a bunch of rotted wood and did an amazing job on that. Took just 2 days to do all the painting. Super nice crew. We have a lot of shrubs around the house - not only did they not paint them too, the didnt damage a single one - that shocked me. Not the cheapest but very competitive pricing. Rob, the guy who did the estimate was on time, stopped by a couple of times during the job to make sure everything was done properly. Weve had so many neighbors stop by and compliment us. Heres one of the best things I can say about them. Along the driveway side of our house the self leveling filler had deteriorated. I had them replace that as part of the price. They didnt have the right material the day of the job but said they would come back for that. Most companies would have forgotten or not bothered until the customer squawked. But they came back a week later on a day I wasnt home and took care of it. Thats what I call great service. I would recommend them to everybody without hesitation.
We spent a few months looking for the right company to paint our house. We finally landed on the Exterior Painters and couldn’t be happier. They were very professional and responsive. Most painting companies just answer their cell phone mid job to talk to you. Exterior Painters have people answering the phones and making appointments which is unheard of. The job included a color consultation. Color samples were brought to the house so choices could be discussed. Lots of time was spent by the crew prepping the house before painting. Workmen replaced a good deal of wood siding and trim. All seams between woodwork was neatly caulked and all surfaces scraped. Windows were covered prior to painting to avoid overspray. Crew worked long days to keep to schedule with only a short stoppage due to rain and did a good job with clean up. Extra paint was left for us to use if needed. Workmen did a very thorough job and I am pleased with the result. House is greatly improved in appearance.

I am so impressed with the wonderful job this company did on the house! They painted all of my trim in just one day, too! Some of the wood was chipping on the house, but they fixed it up very well. We had a great experience with The Exterior Painters. Patrick came by to look over our home & gave us an estimate for exterior painting. There was wood rot that needed to be replaced with new wood too, which was our main concern (& not listed in the column that asked what services did they perform). He gave us an estimated date as to when they could do the job, all depended on weather & how long the previous job took but he was pretty much in the ballpark. The paint designer came a week or so prior to painting & we decided on the colors together. She put in the order & it was a great turn out! The crew of 3 that came out were awesome! Joel, Arendia & Raphael, were quick, efficient & did an awesome job! Cleaned up after themselves & did a great job on the carpentry needed to replace the rotted wood. Our front doors & garage doors were hand washed carefully before applying the fresh paint, since I did not want those power washed & everything was done very neatly. It took them less than 3 days (1/2 day, full day & another 3/4 day) but their full day was a long day, & I dont know how they did it. They were here from 830a to about 630p with a very short lunch break. Very hard workers. I think this company has painted about 4 houses on our street & thats how we got their number off their sign after seeing what a beautiful job they did on everyone elses home. I wouldnt be surprised if they get more business after doing ours as we had a couple neighbors stop by to tell us what a great job they did on our home! Very professional & great customer service! I would use them again if needed! We highly recommend them to anyone looking to have a beautiful, professional job done with communication from the company! We recently moved into a new house that had original wood siding from the 90’s. After interviewing companies for Hardy board, LP siding and Foam backed vinyl, we decided to go with the LP siding. He would ask questions to clarify if he was unsure of what we wanted and his crew was on time and professional. We had a great experience with this company. They showed up on time, finished replacing all our rotted wood and painted our entire house in 2 days! The crew that was here was very professional and put everything back around our house for us and made sure everything was cleaned up so there was nothing left for us to do. It looks like we have a brand new house. The color is exactly what we wanted and they were even able to match the color of our front door perfectly for our shutter.

I had damaged wood trim and faded, peeling paint on the exterior of my house. The Exterior Painters were professional to work with and provided a cost-effective quote within a few days of my inquiry. Following the quote, the color specialist came out to my house to help me pick out the best color, and then they power-washed the areas they were going to paint. I liked the fact that they were able to complete the entire job, including replacing and repairing the wood trim, in addition to painting. I would recommend them!
Absolutely awesome !!!! On-time, professional, GREAT job. They were fairly priced - no overages except for the cost of extra wood needed to complete the job. The crew cleaned up after themselves, left the extra siding and paint, were there early morning and left late at night. I was so impressed that I bought them lunch on their last day.Seriously, Patrick quoted out the job and timeframe and they made it on both points. Do not get raked in by a fly by night contractor -- stay with the pros. Scheduling was a breeze, we went from Fall of 2020 to Spring of 2021 because of delays of ME getting the siding I wanted from a different supplier.
Had mother-in-laws condo exterior painted. The company replaced and bad wood, scraped and caulked anywhere it needed. My salesman (Rob) was professional and very responsive. Estimate was not the lowest but you get what you pay for. Crews were professional, on time and did an outstanding job in a short amount of time. Company will be my go to company in the future.

My experience with Patrick and Exterior Painters has been wonderful. From the time Patrick gave us an estimate in 2019, he explained in detail what made working with them a superior experience and it held true. He provided proof of insurance and customer references without having to ask for them. In 2020 when we were ready to have the job done, it went very smoothly. The crew came, they were friendly and accommodating. The crew had me walk the house before they left, at the time everything looked great. The next day, I noticed some items that I thought would be addressed (boarding/caulking) that werent, causing slight disappointment. I was not disappointed enough to call. A couple days later Patrick did a follow up call, which I wasnt expecting. We talked through my concerns and he made it a priority to come check the job personally. He was truly concerned that I wasnt completely satisfied. He personally came back to our home with the crew and addressed all my concerns and then some. I dont feel these items where at the fault of the crew, I feel there was some miscommunication somewhere that was addressed immediately. These guys did an amazing job with our house! They were freaky fast :)And not only did our trimwork, garage and chicken coop, but also redid much of our deck with new wood and deck stain. Patrick did a great job with communications and Rolando was the head of a very hard working crew. There was one area of trim work that didnt come out just right and when I pointed it out to Rolando there was absolutely no problem and it was redone perfectly within an hour or two. All in all it was an excellent experience and I was quite impressed!
I hired the exterior painters to paint my parents home. They did an outstanding job! From start to finish they handled every detail. They showed up on time, answered all our questions, were courteous and did an amazing job! I loved having my own Color Conultant to assist me in picking the perfect color, she took all the stress away! I would highly recommend this company, they even replaced the rotted wood on the home, they didn’t just paint over it like one of the other painting companies we initially called to give us an estimate wanted to do.
Most professional, responsive contractor Ive ever dealt with. From the initial quote to the paint crew, everyone involved exceeded expectations. Will likely not ever consider using another paint service on future projects.
Overall, a professional experience. Their communication from estimate to completion was excellent. Team members (estimator, color coordinator, power washer, painter, touch up person, project manager) came on time as scheduled. Pricing was about $1,000 less than the estimate I received from a competitor. They use Benjamin Moore paints, which was important to me. There were some items that a second person had to come out to perform because the first paint team missed them. I think the prep work (eg scraping, hole filling, replacement of wood) and painting could have been better -- but Im also a perfectionist so perhaps my expectations were too high.

This was a good company to work with. We had our home painted in May 2017. The quote was thorough and competitive. The color specialist was very helpful. They followed through on the timeline they said would occur. The person who painted our home was a hard worker. He worked long days mostly alone. We had some areas that needed to be fixed/retouched but the person who painted the house came out and did those areas to our satisfaction. Be aware that the discount for the cash payment is indeed for cash and a check does not suffice so had to drive it to their office. I expected to hear from the company to check on our satisfaction with the work done afterward and did not. Overall I would recommend and use the company again.

Outstanding work! We had at least 7 other painters/painting companies come to assess the necessary work to paint our home. Although our home is primarily brick, we needed a lot of repair done to the wood and around our chimney. We were told that we needed our gutters painted, the wood repaired or replaced, and our Pella windows painted.Then!! Patrick from The Exterior Painters arrived to look at our home and give us an estimate - yes, the man knows his work!! He told us that our gutters were COPPER (!) and to please not paint them. The wood on our home was cedar, and not to put certain types of wood in the areas we needed repair. And, our Pella windows were vinyl, requiring a specific type of paint. Thank goodness we did not pick the wrong company to do this job for us.We got reminders to notify us when they were arriving to steam clean the wood, and text/email notifications when the painters would arrive. They did meticulous work and we are extremely happy with the outcome.

The company can give you a low quote for painting because their customers are expected to repair the damage caused from paint overspray all over your patio, patio furniture, deck, deck furniture, doors, doorwalls, windows,…. Therefore, the actual cost to the customer will be double what they quote.
The Exterior Painters is a premium service provider. They are likely not the lowest cost but they use the highest grade materials, they provide excellent service, and the workmanship is top quality. If I ever needed a similar service again I would not hesitate to use The Exterior Painters.

OMG!! I love my home! When I originally bought my home I knew I would have to change the exterior. After doing much research, I found that siding replacement was very costly. After seeing a neighbor get there exterior painted, I called Exterior Painters in Rochester Hills. For a fraction of the price of siding, I got a completely new look! The salesperson was very consultative in helping me pick out my colors and the crew was friendly, meticulous, and fast! If I could give them more than five stars, I would!

I wish that I could post the photos of the unbelievable terrible work this company has done. Paint drips, painted door handles, damage to the wood by power washing it on too high of a setting, new hired employees that were not supervised to do the job correctly. They painted when it just finished raining...even though I called Patti and asked them not to paint. I also asked that the two men who did this damage to our house not be sent out again. They ignored my plead. These men even power washed our new ring video doorbell. With water left inside of this electronic it never worked after that. We are still waiting for them to replace this doorbell the proper way so that it will work. My husband had to actually supervise them the 4th time coming out! This is not what I call Professional painters!!

2022-07-07After being put off for nearly a year by the first company I contacted, I got an estimate from The Exterior Painters and I was amazed by how quickly the process went. Every time they gave me an estimate of how long something would take, it actually took LESS time than what they told me. Their workers were here every day from early in the morning to 7:00 or so, until the work was done. They replaced our rotting wood trim and all of the siding on the front of the house, repaired our gutters, and then painted everything, all within 5 days of when they started. Very professional and responsive, and their website makes it easy to look at your estimates and invoice. Highly recommended!!

He outlined the whole process and was very informative and responsive to our questions and requests. The whole process and work was seamless and was completed in 30 days --- from the initial quote to completion of the work.Three weeks after receipt/approval of the quote the steam cleaning of our home was completed. Their equipment was top notch and the personnel were very professional.Two days after the steam cleaning was completed the crew arrived to complete prep and repairs on out house including painting. Their crew was very professional and the workers were craftsmen in work quality. In two days they replaced 140 linear feet of rotted wood, completed all prep work and painting of our home ---- the quality of the work, materials and painting far exceeded our expectations.The next day after our home was painted the crew showed up to install our new gutters with leaf guards --- color keyed to our paint color. Materials and workmanship were excellent and they finished all work the same day.The prices for the work were very competitive and everyone we dealt with from project management to work crews and office/support staff were outstanding!

2022-04-13We are delighted with the repairs and paint job The Exterior Painters completed on our home. I found the firm by seeing one of their brightly painted and trimmed trucks in our neighborhood. Rob, the sales person, came to our home and walked with me around the house to see all the items needing repairs in order to prepare a detailed quote. Their quote was fully competitive with several other firms. They quoted in January of 2022 with an agreement to begin the job as soon as weather permitted. Sarah, from the home office phoned on March 31 to let us know they planned to power wash the house on April 6. The fellow that did the power wash did an excellent job using a washer machine operated safely from the ground that sprayed to the top of our three-story house. Sarah phoned to let us know Antonio would begin making repairs on April 9. He and his crew arrived at 8 AM on April 9 and began making the repairs prior to beginning painting. Brian Scott, the owner of the firm, personally delivered materials to make the repairs. Antonio and his team worked diligently and smoothly completing the repairs. Then they masked everything to prepare to apply the paint. The actual painting began on April 10 and was completed on April 11. They removed all of the masking materials and thoroughly cleaned and removed all debris. All in all it was a pleasant, stress free experience. We highly recommend The Exterior Painters.

2022-07-12The Exterior Painters Team was fast, efficient, and very professional throughout the process. I never seen such a hard working paint crew that also paid attention to detail! Rob lead my project and guided me through the whole process, very clear, well communicated, excellent job!. The color selection process was very helpful with Lori, highly recommend her consultation. Next came high temp power washing, then prep and caulk, followed by painting. I am very happy with the quality of paint and its high build for durability. It additionally brings out the features in the wood. The work and service The Exterior Painters provides has excellent value; I see it each time I look at my house, very very happy!

2022-07-26We hired the exterior painters based a rec from our window repair company and were very pleased with their work. I was able to reach the sales team when I had questions before and during the job and also communicate with Alex, the lead guy on site during the project who was very kind and helpful. They also assisted with a lot of wood rot replacement on our home prior to painting. My house now looks brand new!

2022-06-30We had our brick painted by The Exterior Painters. Their pricing is competitive, workmanship excellent and the painting crew were awesome. I wanted a very dark color to contrast existing light siding and the color consultant was helpful in showing us options. Everyone we worked with was very professional and knowledgeable of the products from the sales consultant to the painters. Highly recommend them.

2022-06-16The key to any good paint job is the prep work, and The Exterior Painters did an exceptional job. They power washed the house, carefully replaced the many boards showing signs of age or rot, thoroughly caulked and then did a beautiful job painting. The house looks great! Mike Plesz, who managed our job, was available and responsive as the job progressed, and his team showed up on time and worked incredibly hard. This was, by far, the best experience weve had with a painting contractor and we highly recommend The Exterior Painters.

2022-05-255 stars to Rob and his entire team. Our house looks transformed from a tired 60s traditional look to now a revived skin! Everyone was so very responsive, courteous, and professional. From the office staff (Patty, Sarah, Marissa) to the managers, the color consultant (Lori) and crew members (Antonio and his team). The best part is that we weren’t satisfied with our color choice for the siding/brick and needed that changed asap (poor choice on our part! Looked so much different on paper!). Exterior Painters accommodated our request to change course and repaint what had already been done without any problem (and without charging us the full amount!!). One very basic piece of advice: try different colors on different walls and see how it looks in different lighting conditions and at different times of the day. This will save you headaches and money!
