Comment: Big selections of cars. Fair prices with salesmen who are straight forward and not pushy. It was little stress and no back and forth continuous bargaining to wear me down. Comment: There customer service skills is very lacking. Never followed up with me on the part they ordered for my car. I had to keep on calling to see it part was in yet, when I first was told it would take a couple of days. A month or so later I called back to see if the part was in and was told they had it. If I hadnt called back AGAIN, Ill still be waiting to hear back from them. I WILL NEVER BRING MY CAR BACK TO THEM.

Comment: I recently brought my 2020 F-350 Superduty to San Leandro Ford for a service engine light and two recalls. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing and frustrating. I feel compelled to share the details to help improve future customer experiences.First and foremost, the service technician assigned to my vehicle appeared to lack knowledge about the necessary repairs. Despite making an appointment, I was initially informed that the repairs would take 1 to 2 days. However, my truck ended up being in the shop for a total of 14 days. During this time, there was no offer of transportation assistance when dropping off or picking up my vehicle, even though all the repairs were covered under warranty.The most frustrating part was the repeated promises that my truck would be ready the next day, which continued for an entire week. Each time I called to check on the status, I received the same vague responses and runaround from the service tech. Additionally, despite my requests for a rental vehicle, none was provided. The lack of communication and accountability from the service department was unacceptable.This experience has left me extremely dissatisfied with San Leandro Ford.

Comment: I highly DO NOT recommend shopping for any car at San Leandro Ford dealership. Don’t waste your time! My dad visited the San Leandro branch to look at a particular truck on the lot. Once there, he was able to look at the truck and schedule a test drive. Everything went well. They went inside to do paperwork, they exchanged information ran his credit score. It turned out he did not have a crucial document needed to proceed… The Salesman’s said bring back the papers tomorrow and we’ll get you going with the truck tomorrow. We will reserve it for you. Dont worry!The following day. My dad went back to complete paperwork with the proper documents and was told the vehicle was already SOLD. The prior sales man was not present and nor did anyone know what was going on. All in all my dad was filled with false hopes. Nothing but wasted time, very unprofessional with zero communication between the office staff. General manager did not call once to follow up or apologize!

Comment: We found our car online through Bank of America’s search engine of dealerships that would take our pre-approved loan. Everything seemed ok at first. They asked my husband for all of his information again “for the DMV etc.” My husband arrived to sign paperwork and pick up the car. The person who provided the paperwork said that they add a device to locate your car if stolen and that they put it on every car for free and if you want to continue you can pay for additional years of coverage once the first 3 years expires. My husband said “as long as it’s no cost to us, because we don’t need that”. The salesperson reiterated that it was free. Fast forward to the following week. It turns out they re-ran our credit approval and acted as a third party between us and BofA and opened a different loan I’m assuming to get some sort of kickback. They also charged us over $700 for the supposed “free” service they put on every car. We were also told how lucky we were to have 2 sets of keys for a used vehicle only to find the second set wasn’t even for our car! We have had the car a month and the brakes have already triggered an indicator light. Now I know why they pushed their extended warranty so hard. An unfortunate and shady experience we could have had in Sacramento.

Brought it in for service on a Monday early morning, I told them I needed it before Wednesday morning, my service guy said “No problem” and I went on with my day, no problems at this point.It’s midday on Tuesday, getting a little worried because no one has contacted me, but I give them a chance. It’s now close to closing, no one has contacted me, I’ve called the service department several times and they kept telling me my service technician was busy and would return my call - again, no call. I need my car so I have my mom physically drive me down there and I have to ask for my car back.Update: 3 Stars now, my experience this time was much better. It really depends which service advisor you get. This time it was Billy, I wish all the advisors were like Billy - great communication, and gets stuff done.

Comment: I am not sure if they really care about their customers because that is not how I was treated.I brought in my car for a scheduled warranty repair on 2/26, they fixed it and I picked on 2/29. (During the time, no one called me to follow up with me and telling me when it would be ready. I had to make calls daily to find out myself.)When I was driving home the freeway on the same day I picked it up, there were more than 4 warnings popped up. I was going to used my car for the weekend, but I couldn’t drive it when so many warnings showed up.I scheduled another service on 3/4 to find out what’s wrong. On 3/5-3/6, I called them more than 10 times and left messages during this period, but yet no one called me back to follow up the status, just like the last time.Until 3/7 after I called both services department and the consultant more than 6 times and left voice messages during the business hours, finally I got the call back from the consultant and I was told my car would be ready on 3/11. (Sounds like my car was sitting there for two days for nothing being done)Guess what? Same story again, no one calls me to follow up with me on 3/11.After I tried to call them more than 5-6 times and finally got the call back from the consultant on 3/12. And again, I was told more parts were damaged and they needed more time to fix and it would be done by 3/14.Today is 3/14, the consultant never call me to follow up with me, instead I called his desk and service department more than 5 times, just like the other days. Finally a lady at service department told me the consultant already left for the day and my car was not ready!I don’t know why they are treating their customers like this? And the car is still sitting there without ETA.This is far beyond acceptable customer services.

Comment: I took the car around 3 maybr 4 times for a wobble and side to side movement but they cant figure why plus i asked owen if he can ask the mechanic to go on drive the car with me .the mechanic didnt want to then he try to say its has a wobble and side to side movement because the air was low. Then they try to say its the tires when not to long ago owen gave me a paper saying the tires are good. So how can they go bad so fast . Asked owen to tell another mechanic he went and brought back the same one . This time i kept telling him to drive he finally said yes but only went around the corner. Kept it for 4 days told me the same. they think it needs new tires but how can new tires solve the wobble side to side movement qnd the loose steering wheel. P.s owen told me if i can take it to a different shop to see if they can find the problem im not paying for it when i have profolio . No point in me taking it to a non ford shop and pay full when I have warranty

Upon completion, it took another 20 minutes to find someone to give me my keys back, because my service advisor went off on lunch break. I had to go ask around for my keys back. Whole process from appointment time, to when I left, was two hours. For a simple oil change. And they had the gall to ask if I was planning on picking up the vehicle same day- again, its an oil change. It shouldnt take overnight to complete, for a mid-day appointment.

This last visit was horrible, my car was in their shop over 4 months for the same problem they already serviced and repaired over 4 times. Now my car is back in the shop at different ford dealership for the same exact problem! Also a leak that was already there that they didn’t catch or repair. After 5 horrible exhausting months I was called to pick up my car. When I arrived my car had not been pulled out, and guess what it wouldn’t even start! Battery was completely dead which meant it had not been test driven before my arrival. Test drive my car and noticed it wasn’t driving appropriately and left it there! Mind you this is after 5 months of patiently waiting for my vehicle to be repaired. So about a week later I got a call my car was officially ready! Went to dealership to pick up my car test drove everything seems yo be fine but it wasn’t. Leave car again! Get a call about a week later to pick up my car. Oh no, drive away get on freeway and now my is smoking. Exit the highway to a safe location, turn car off now it doesn’t turn back on. Tow truck driver arrives to find that the caps were not on under hood and that was the reason for my car smoking. So now I’m back at the dealership after 5 agonizing months and less then 1hr of picking up my vehicle. Received a call about 3 days later to pick up my vehicle once again! Go to pick up my vehicle everything seems to be fine. No! Less than 2 months later my car is currently back in the shop with the same exact issue plus a leak that should have been caught by service technicians! But wait! Adding to all this the customer service here is beyond horrible. Paul the service manager was no help to me! Extremely rude and eventually I had to involve Ford corporate office. I have two warranties on my vehicle, I never received updates through out the duration of my vehicle being serviced I had to call to get updates. I was told by Paul (service manager) that he wasn’t paying for my rental car! He couldn’t find anyone to pay for my rental car ( exact words) once corporate offices got involved they covered my rental and was extremely understanding of the situation. Also there was another customer there when I went to get my car and she was towing her car out of there sho because it had been there over 3 months and hadn’t been touched. This location is a hostile environment, and need to be looked into immediately. I was happy when I bought my car from ford initially but this has been hell. My car has been in the shop more than I’ve driven it. This experience has made me rethink being a ford customer!

Comment: San Leandro Ford service plan and service are a complete rip off!I purchased a service plan with my new truck from San Leandro Ford and took my vehicle in twice a year for maintenance using my plan. On several occasions items that were checked off their checklist of items serviced were not actually done. The very first item on the checklist is “filled windshield wiper fluid”. Each and every time the fluid was not filled. The last time it was bone dry which I knew before hand and wanted to see if they noticed and of course they did not even though it was the very first item in the checklist. You can only imagine what else was not completed from their list of maintenance items that I paid for were not serviced such as oil change and filter, other fluids, etc. Rotation of tires, I marked my tire knowing which side it came from and as expected when I picked up my vehicle that tire was in the exact same position. I prepaid for my maintenance so it wasn’t like these were free. Also, the entire time over the years of service I am told that I have X amount of services left in my plan. I was assured multiple times I “will get what I paid for”. I recently went in for scheduled service with the expectation that I had 2 services remaining just to show up in the morning to be told that I did have 2 left but my plan had expired! How does something you paid for expire??? I have low mileage in my vehicle and of course it was due for 50,000 service and I was also told at my last service that they will be doing my brakes at my next service as part of my plan. Now I am left without 2 major maintenance items that I was assured were covered. I was told I can still have my truck worked on but is going to cost me so I took back my keys and drove off and away from this scam of a dealership. I am not the only one that has had these same issues! Do not buy or service your vehicle at San Leandro Ford.

We went for a ride and set appointment for Friday 13th...noon...he was ready, Truck was ready and I drove out around 3:30 PM...wow...all went extremely well despite strikes and life trying to get in the way.Thanks Sam Noble!

When I asked for help to turn off the engine light, the service dept mgr. told me they couldnt help me, I have to return after the next week.I havent gone back yet; Im afraid of how long I will have to wait to get help.I even feel as if it was done on purpose because my car was there for so long:First, S.L. Ford sent the car to a body shop. When the body shop finished a month later, S.L. Ford didnt give my car a tune up & rotate the tires as I asked, even though I told several service dept employees; therefore, they had to keep it a couple of weeks longer.The insurance check was stolen & cashed by a thief, so it took another 2 or 3 weeks for me to pick up the car.Now my CAR has the CHECK ENGINE LIGHT on & EXTRA SCRATCHES, and Im planning to sell it tomorrow. I would rather and have chosen to travel 30+ miles away rather than take my vehicle to them again (they are 2 miles from me). I took my car there for a couple of issues. They diagnosed them gave me a quote, and gave me a tentative date when either the work would be done or I should know something more. Well it took 6 weeks just to give me some definitive information on what will be done. Then a week to do the work and order the part. Mind you this was only for 1 of them items I brought the car in for. I was pretty patient during all of this. They said they couldnt provide a loaner car. The communication was shotty and dates were consistently missed on when I should hear something. The gentleman that was helping me was helpful, but I got the feeling he was being put in a bad spot because he was only reporting what the service folks were or were not telling him.

Comment: I brought my car for diagnostic due to some display signs (catalytic convertor and camera vision) in my dashboard. I got in the call and was told that that they have to order the parts but I can pick up my car and drive it whilst waiting for the parts. When I picked up my car, it was not running the way it used to be. It was not revving and I was driving it on a freeway and it was running soooo slow not even a 5 mile/hr. I turned around and asked what happened to my car as they only run a diagnostic and when I brought it, it was running normal. I was told that something must have happened due to the catalytic convertor. But I didnt have any warning signs that it was the catalytic convertor. I didnt have any choice but to leave it again. They offered a rental car and also I was covered by warrantee so didnt have to pay. I am still doubting that something was done to my car that made it run like a snail.. Anyway, I finally picked up my car and now it is running normal but I will drive it to the other Ford dealer to have it checked again.

Through the long process of waiting, Gus was incredibly responsive, helpful, and considerate to my many questions without fail. I moved out of state in that time and he helped me set up a courtesy delivery for my truck as well as ensured I received all the appropriate rebates through the receiving dealership. Even after handing off responsibility to the other dealership, Gus and the Ford Store San Leandro supported me and ensured I had a successful delivery of my Maverick. Comment: My Ford Focus is having a rough idle issue. I read about this issue on the internet and learned that it a fairly common and hard to diagnose. Thats why I decided to take it to Ford dealership. Who better to work on Ford products than Ford trained mechanics?I took it in hoping the mechanics would perform some diagnosis (run some vacuum tests, etc.) and tell me what the issue was. Instead, I was reminded how old my car is, and was given a probable cause recommendation to change the fuel filter, spark plugs, plug coils and the serpentine belt. I responded that as long as you believe this will fix the problem go ahead. The response was we will test it again after the work.Anyway, $1200 and change later, the rough idle problem persists.I was also told that the labor was only going to be a couple hundred dollars. Turns out it was nearly half the cost.Either the car wasnt tested after the work, or no one cared that it wasnt fixed. Either way the service left me less than satisfied.

I was there for tire rotation and 2 recalls and the service advisor was horrible. I went shopping from 9:30 til 1 and when I got back they had only did my tire rotation. The service advisor was out to lunch so I waited for him to come back. When I saw him he was with someone else and I waited til he was done. He told me that my car was just sitting and and they had not did the 2 recalls yet so I sat there another 3 hours. I would have liked the service advisor to keep me updated on my car or something but no he mush have walked by me at least 5 times and wouldn’t even look at me. Finally some one else helped me, he was very nice and made my check in vehicle with no problems. Comment: I have not purchased a car here, however I have used their parts department and had those parts installed/replaced with the service team.My experiences with the parts counter had been perfect and exactly the reason I will return here. The prices were fair, the tech behind the counter was knowledgeable and even gave me a few on the parts I needed, without me even asking. We shared some stories about focuses past and present.Service experience was a typical dealership service department. The service writer was straight forward with the pricing(even offered to take some cost off of the service if I did all three mounts), the pricing was higher than I wanted to pay and I even decided to swap some of the parts myself and have them just do the inconvenient installs. They were of course behind schedule and preemptively asked if I could leave the car overnight for a 1.5 hour job. There was even “that one guy” who jumped into our conversations and for whatever reason insisted on disagreeing with a known fact about the car. You know the guy.Overall this is a Ford dealership (don’t use the bathroom). It gets five stars for the parts department and service. Parts for the great service and friendliness and Service for having my car done on time. I can’t take stars away for service pricing because, well, it’s a dealership, that’s the way it works and I can just decided to add or remove costs.I’ll be back at some point I’m sure. At least for my parts.If you’re listening Ford execs…please bring the focus back.

Comment: I took my car in to be serviced and checked for a recall. I had my appointment and came in 10 minutes before, and I was kept waiting 30 minutes after my appointment to be seen by an agent. I let them know that if I was not going to be done by the end of the work day that I would need a rental because I had work the next morning. They told me it would be done before the end of the work day (4pm). The complementary shuttle took me home, but was told it would not be able to bring me back at the end of the day as their shuttle ends at 3pm (an hour before they closed). I told them it should be fine if my car would be ready since I could have a friend drop me off before 4pm. My car was not done by 4pm, and I had to call them several times to get an answer and an update on the status of my car. Since my car was not ready, they let me know they would partially cover a rental and that I would need to cover the $10 difference myself. This also did not include the cost of my Lyft to the rental office nor my time they wasted in the back and forth interactions regarding my car and rental status. I’ve been to other Ford locations but this was the only negative experience I’ve had. I do not see myself returning to this location for any further servicing.

The first time, the technician took my keys home with him on accident. Luckily, had my spare key on me, just by luck. They had to send their shuttle person to drop the keys off to me the next day. The second time, they didnt fill my def/exhaust fluid but the technician says they did ... unless my digital gage is broken, thats simply not possible. This is unacceptable as I told the service manager that this is my husband’s truck he uses for work. I called to see when the truck was going to be ready I was told there were four recalls that needed to be repaired and that it would not be done today and would in fact not be ready until 4/27. When I told him that was unacceptable he said well you can find another dealership and to come get your truck. Beyond unprofessional! They apparently think people can sit around for days without a vehicle and not work. Do NOT do business with this dealership because eventually you’ll be treated the same way!

I called several times trying to get in contact with someone named Billy so I could contact my insurance. Not only did he lack information about my vehicle he changed the price on me several times. The truck has been in four times now to address delivery quality issues that should have been fixed on the first trip back.On the most recent trip today, I noticed that the paint was damaged in several places, almost like the truck has been vandalized. Theyre going to pay for it but its not cool to have to repaint a brand new $70,000 truck. And its not cool that they didnt notice it and I had to find the damage myself.

Upon completing their diagnosis I was informed of the issue causing my car alarm to malfunction. Unfortunately the part and labor estimate was for too expensive so I had to decline their offer to repair as I already paid $230.00 for the diagnosis initially.

Comment: Great service once you can schedule it. Had an extremely difficult time trying to schedule a recall service. I had received two (2) emails stating the parts are in and I needed to schedule an appointment. After the second email I called San Leandro Ford Service Department. The call went to voicemail but didn’t allow you to leave a message. Then I called and asked the lady who answered if she could help me. She said yes until I said it was a recall. Again, went to voicemail even though I had told her I tried this earlier. Then went online to schedule the appointment. Was told by the person I was chatting with at San Leandro Ford, that someone would contact me within an hour; never happened. Then called the Ford corporate offices. A very nice lady helped me and stayed on the phone until I received an appointment. After that all went great. Went to the appointment and the service was very good….

Comment: I had a terrible experience. I got my car towed in last Monday since it wouldnt start. I informed Mat (I believe hes a mechanic manager) that my car would occasionally not start. He informed me he would have an answer by noon on Tuesday. I had to call him at 12:30 to get an answer, and he informed me it would cost extra to see what was wrong with my car since they couldnt figure out the problem. Initially, it was $230.00. He bump the price to $460 with confirmation of the problem by 4:30. I drove by and saw my car unattended. I asked why and he said theyre busy, but by Wednesday at noon, hell definitely have an answer. I felt he was lying and I drove by Wednesday to see my car still unattended. Mat went out his way to not talk to me until there was no other option. At this point I got my car towed to another location. Mat said they were busy. The mechanic checked my wires and that came back positive.That Thursday the mechanic I took it to informed me I needed a new starter. This was a simple fix that didnt have to take a whole week to falsely attempt to figure out. I took this car to Ford and the workers of Ford couldnt figure out it was a simple starter.I honestly deserve my money back for them wasting my time and being lied to.

Comment: They are con artist. They only want your money. Please don’t trust them. They prey on the weak and vulnerable. In my case, they had me there for 6 hours for 2 flat tires and this was after I spoke with the Director Rich. He had promised me 2 hours because he understood my dire situation. I had 2 flats working graveyard in a town 50 miles away from home. After 6 hours of waiting they charged me for a wheel alignment that was done completely wrong and when I went back to tell them they didn’t even care or fix it. They wanted to charge me another $120 to fix it. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!!!!!

Comment: This one-star rating is mostly due to the service team not returning my attempts to contact them. Despite several attempts to get in touch with them via phone (unable to get a live person) and using their websites live chat feature (see attached pics), I have not yet received a response in over a month.I brought my 2009 Ford Escape Hybrid (which I purchased at the San Leandro Ford Store) for its 120 K service on 10/09/20 and worked out the plan for this service with Matthew, who elected to go a 90 K Value Service, with several a la carte features, rather than use the stores pricing which he said was glitching and way too expensive. I appreciated this gesture, despite being annoyed and concerned about the exorbitant rates in the system (Mathew showed me a screen shot), as paying $1500 for a service visit seems like way too much. I will further discuss this pricing issue in another review, but thats not the main issue here.During this initial conversation I explained that one issue we were having was an orange check engine style alert light on our dash for our a failure of a tire pressure gauge sensor (see attached pic), that had been going on pretty continuously for over a year, but that our tires were never flat (because we were constantly checking), and so I asked Mathew and the service techs to look into that.When I returned to pick up the Escape at the end of the day, it was just before closing and felt rushed, so we were not able to go over the full a la carte paperwork, and due to COVID, I was OK with that and just wanted to get out of the interior office space, and figured if I had any questions, we could discuss later, but as soon as I got into the Escape I noticed the SAME ORANGE ALERT LIGHT was still lit up. Which means the technician would have also seen the light when turning on the engine as well.I considered going back in to find out why this hadnt been addressed, but as it was closing time on a Friday (the technicians had left for the day), I just wanted to get home and discuss it later over the phone. I called on Monday 10/12/20, but did not get a live person, and then used the websites chat feature on 10/15/20 (which I HAD gotten a response from the service manager on a pricing issue before I paid and picked up the vehicle, so figured it was the best method). After not hearing back from anyone for a few days, I tried the chat feature again (see attached pics), on 10/22/20 (and mentioned I had not yet gotten a response), but still to this day, more than a month later, have not heard any response from anyone at the San Leandro Ford Store.Im not sure if Mathew forgot to include my request or the technicians forgot to check it. The quote portion of the paperwork states that the final Job 7 of the a la carte service tasks listed as Perform Mandatory Tire Inflation System Check, Check all operating vehicle tires for correct air pressure and adjust if necessary and Recall Check Acknowledgement, which I thought might be the task of determining why the sensor is failing, causing the alert light to go on. (see pics) There have been other factory recall updates that the Escape has needed to undergo. However, the receipt doesnt have a Job 7, and instead has this language around the tire inflation system check as Job 6 and it states Tires were inspected for proper inflation as per tire industry standards, and OEM standards. New Tire Pressure Readings are: LF, RF, LR RR. However, there are no readings here, so Im not sure if this last job was ever done, or if the technicians understood my request about the alert light.Im hoping to get a call soon from San Leandro Ford Store to figure out how we can get this alert light issue resolved.

Comment: I was not satisfied. I spent $1000.00 and my suv was not washed, I didnt get the rebate info for my tires. Everything was supposed to be finished on the same day, and I did not get a call until 545pm saying that it wasnt going to be ready until Saturday, and that is only after I left a message inquiring. Then when I picked it up on Saturday I had to look for someone to help me as no one was in the service department. Definitely not a good experience.Also I had 100,000 mile service and no one told me I had a reverse light out. I had to take it to wheel works to get an alignment immediately after leaving your lot and they told me on their inspection

Found the service center email, and after a little telephone tag (I kept missing the calls while I was at work) the next day, I was able to easily set up an appointment.I may have missed the option, but it would be nice to set up appointments via email, that way I dont have to worry about missing phone calls.Overall service was great though!

Comment: Billy changed my perception of bringing a car for service a dealer store. I came in to get an oil change for my 2018 Fusion. Im new to the area and I walked in and wandering around looking for someone and he greeted me and asked if I need help? I been in the service industry for a long time myself so when he greeted me, I know that Billy understand customer service! However, I really just wanted an oil change because I was pressing time but he showed me the options and price difference and made a lot sense and he did not pressure me in buying it. He explained it very well and thats what I want from a service advisor who can convince me. I hate going to a dealership and talking to someone who doesnt know what their talking about to sell and then their attitude change when you wont go their plan. Billy is excellent service advisor and hes good of what he does. If I have mechanic shop I would lure him to come and work for me. :-) Thank you, Billy and hope you enjoyed that lunch meal!

Comment: The only reason I decided to give a 2 star if because there is no such thing as a 0 star. I dropped of my vehicle on a Monday morning for a change of brakes. In the afternoon I received a call from a gentleman named Geraldo and was told my vehicle wasn’t ready, and to wait for the next morning. The next day I receive a call around 11am from the same gentleman saying the vehicle was still not ready. I then Explain that I needed my vehicle back because I was going to take it elsewhere and that my employees rely on this transportation. He said he would call me back and let me know what would happen. I immediately explain that if the job was thinking to be done by the end of the day I needed my vehicle. Around 5pm I asked to speak to the manager who also said he couldn’t help until the next day. I didn’t get my vehicle back until 2 days later. It’s been the worst experience I’ve ever had. Very unprofessional and such a lack of communication. I will not be servicing my vehicle there again : (

Comment: I did not have a good experience with the service portion of this dealership. It took a whole hour past my scheduled appointment to be spoken to about what my car needed which made me late for work. The two issues with my car had to do with my AC and my radio, and they inspected it and told me they couldnt reproduce the problems, but charged a thing or two and told me it was ready for pick up. They charged me over $400 for this inspection, and right as I drove away my speakers blew out just like they have been before I took it in. Also, since the Bay area had another hot week with temperatures reaching the high 80s, I tried using my cars AC and sure enough it wasnt working properly. I just spent over $400 for nothing to change and now I have to take my car in somewhere else and spend more money for things to actually get fixed. I am very disappointed and frustrated with this experience.

Comment: I went for 60K miles service and because there’s squeaking when going in reverse. Matt was very friendly, courteous, prompt and informative. Gave all options available. Took the free shuttle to Bart. I got a phone call early afternoon with status. My car was ready at the time specified and even a car wash. Overall service was excellent and brakes were ok although they couldn’t tell me why it squeaks when backing out. Costs are a little high.

Comment: I knew which car I wanted when I went in. I had been pre-approved by my bank before going in with a pretty good interest rate and they were able to beat the interest rate. I was in and out in about 2 1/2 hours with my trade in valued, paperwork signed, and my newly washed car. They were up front with costs and very friendly. There was no pressure. I did call ahead to make an appointment and to talk about the car I wanted. They were willing to put everything we talked about on the phone in writing, so when I showed up for my appointment, they handed me the keys and I took it for a test drive with my family only. I came back, handed them the offer we discussed on the phone and they already had that information on the paperwork. Overall, an upfront agency and after a week, I’m still happy with my purchase!

Comment: I am still dissatisfied with the sound of my car. My car is running loud especially with the air conditioner on. You can hear the noise when the fan is switching. Every since my broken shroud was replaced I have had issues. The dealership has been good in trying to resolve the issue. But basically I was told this is good as the car will run and they are not hearing what I am hearing. The last young lady that helped me was attentive and did everything she said she would do. I appreciate the effort but my issue is still not resolved. I’ve been a faithful Ford customer for over 37 plus years. I think it’s time to break the relationship. Especially when your told well your car is not going to run like me it did when it was brand new. I know a car with a 130 thousand miles will not run like a brand new car but I do expect it to run smoothly and not so loud.

Comment: This is the first and the last I would take my van here. I went in for an oil change. My appointment was at 9 but didn’t get help until 9:46. I was told by the advisor that I needed service for other stuff because I have reached certain mileage. Called my husband he said that I should have not gone there at all. The advisor said they will be done in 4 hours and 7 hours later they called. I came pick up my van and found out they didn’t do the other service but change my oil. I had to come back for another half a day. I was so frustrated and ask the advisor why the hell they have my van for 7 hours and it didn’t finish and his response was the mechanic has gone home and he has no answer but he will take it for another half a day and detail it. The hell would I wanna leave my van here and miss my appointments. They are overbooked and they are not doing a good job. I am not recommending this place to any of my friends and family. If there was a half a star that’s what I will give them. Bad customer service!!

The rep., on the phone was very courteous and professional, she made me feel understood in regards to the issue with my car. She scheduled the appointment the very next day.The next day I was five minutes late and I didnt know where to meet the rep., and as I was walking I saw a rep., helping another customer, I let him know I had a appointment however, I didnt know who I was scheduled to meet. I said I thought the person name might be Allen, he said he would help me next. Then he said something like Billy, Willie. He seemed to be pretty busy with the couple he was serving, so I Left and went to the cashiers, gave her my information and she said the reps., was Billy. It was the same person I had just left. I went back to him and told him I would be waiting in the showroom lounge. After a while he called me in and said he needed to do something else with another car and he would be back shortly. While I was waiting for him another customer came in for an appointment. A rep., of the company came and asked if Id been helped and where the rep., assisting me was. She left and came back to let me know he would be with me shortly. My car was kept overnight.The next day when I picked up my car. I received paperwork from the cashier. They bought the car to me. No one explained to me, the work that was done on the car. I had to figure out how to reset my radio/sirrius. I would if have appreciated it more, had the notice on the dash been reset to the way it was when I dropped it off.

Comment: My Ford Fusion had a recall repair notice. I called it in at San Leandro Ford Store and they quickly identified the car and informed me that there were actually 3 recall repairs needed on my vehicle. They scheduled me in for the repairs within a week. I brought my car in to the service section and was able to quickly drop it off. Had all repairs done for free and was back in my car within a day. Easy and smooth drop off and pick up.

Comment: As I only dealt with one salesperson and a finance person, I am basing my experience on that. I bought a new car; it was an easy and smooth transaction!! I had a third party price quote and The Ford Store - San Leandro actually beat that price!! Sam Noble, my salesperson, was great and very professional. He worked with me to get me exactly what I wanted. I contacted him late afternoon on Friday and I was out of there with the car of choice on Saturday afternoon!! I highly recommend!!

Comment: I visited the Ford Store in late January for recall service. The day after the service, my car was sluggish in starting. I did not have this problem prior to the recall service. I called my service adviser to tell him about the problem. He never called back. I found out later that he no longer worked there. I finally got in touch with someone else in service to let them know my car was not starting correctly as a result of the recall service. I was advised to come in and was told I did not need an appointment. I show up and the service person I saw told me I actually did need an appointment because they were 3 days behind. More time wasted! I made an appointment for the next week, came in and explained my problem to the service person. After keeping my car for 2 days, I was advised that there was nothing wrong with my car and I was charged a $200 diagnostic fee for something they screwed up in the first placed while performing a FREE recall service. Do not bring your car here for service unless you dont mind being ripped off!!!

They main reason why I drove my car to Ford is because of it is Fords car And I believe Ford know their car better than any other Shop, but this time not real. I PAID $195 for Check up and after I call I stop by and ask for Diagnosis report been told Tie rod replacement needed (price labor & material) plus $149 for alignment, but I havent received a report, I walk out of store and call next morning to advisory ( he real looks a nice guy).after service done I drove my car for two day still I am experiencing the same noise - Really they dont know their cars and could fix their own car problem.I paid over $700 and still I have the problemThey charge extra for alignment dont do alignment at Ford just cross the street Wheels Work are right there they will serve you better with a one year or life time alignment warranty
