Comment: Just got back from buying a Christmas tree from this home depot and had the worst customer experience in 25 years of buying trees here. There was only one employee assigned to the lot and there was nobody available to trim and place a net around the trees for an inordinate amount of time. When an employee finally came to spot the missing employee, they refused to prepare the trees to our dismay. I think their exact words were, I dont paid enough to do that. Very disappointed with this attitude, but took our tree and figured it out on our own. Shame on you Home depot. Bringing my purchases to Lowes.

While watching 8 employees by the self check out socialize. 4 rmployees walked by I asked for assistance and was told that is not their department but will call someone. Not one person out of the 12 people asked me if I needed help. The staff right now Fathers day at 1030-11 by the self checkout and wood area would rather socialize with each other or walk around doing nothing at all. Laugh about it while tellingvhis coworkers. Comment: In my opinion this is the best Home Depot location in the area for 2 reasons. First: Easy to access from the freeway. I can get in and out quickly. Second: Never too crowded.I live right in the middle of 3 Home Depot locations. Madison is always a zoo. Parking is terrible, there are too many people and you can barely get a cart through because there is always merchandise parked in the isles. Its ridiculous.The McKinley Home Depot is located in the back of a shopping center that only has two entrance/exits and you have to pass several big box stores. Acceasing this Home Depot is a joke. I prefer to drive a little more to go to South Corona.

On both occasions I worked with Lee Barnes and he was great on working with me and explaining the different features and the best values. He redirected us to a Samsung washer and we love it. The refrigerator we had a little bit better of an idea of what we were looking for but was a pleasure with working with both him and his boss, Victor. Unfortunately we went on vacation the day after our Refrigerator purchase and I wasnt able to the Home Depot survey filled out before the expiration but wanted to make sure I recognized him and thanked him again and will return here for future appliance purchases.

Comment: I visited 3 separate Home Depot’s that all claim to have the ubolt I was looking for in stock. I get to the Home Depot can only find two ubolts when I need 16 and they show 32 in stock. I ask an associate for help they can’t find the extra stock. That happen at 3 separate Home Depot’s. After visiting two Home Depot’s and them not having stock I asked an associate to check to see which Home Depot’s would have them in stock was told this one had 32 and to go there. Drove there and they can’t find their stock. This unacceptable wasted 2 hours going to Home Depot’s that supposedly has this ubolt stock. You guys need to learn how to organize your shelves properly so items can be found or don’t bother listing items as in stock that isn’t on the store floor if you can’t find them when are stocked in the shelves.

Comment: I drove to corona from Riverside because a good friend of mine told me about the sale going on today at this Home Depot. I stood online while these guys are trying to figure it out why the scanner is not taking the stacks which were posted on the Cans for the amount of $43 when they usually sell for $165 or something like that anyhow they tell me they cannot sell them to me, the system is not letting them sell it to me and Im sorry. There should be a policy that if you have repeat clients or any clients that paid their time to come to your establishment because there is a cell, you should honor that which is disclosed and displayed on your floors. This is false advertisement and Im going to let people know about these because hes just not right the Home Depot me so much money out of everyone and then this? Shame on you!

Comment: I have been shopping from hardware stores for a long time, mostly homeowner shopping due to small-medium remodels, repairs of all kinds. I normally avoid Home Depot (since I first visited them in 2005). Sometimes,I ended up finding myself in their store, it just happens despite my avoidance. First, expensive pricing for almost anything, once you enter the store you know there is a rip off and all items (except HD brands) are sold %10-20 above the market price. Their we match any price motto is a scheme that makes customers think that their prices are the cheapest illusion. Third (yes 3rd), their selection is poor, there are not many variations of goods. I came to this conclusion when I was shopping from Menards in the Midwest. You put two stores side by side, and, say a special faucet part is absent in Home Depot, and there are even more selections in Menards at a much lower price. Home Depot has not been changed on this over the years. Second, their customer service is literally bad. Maybe this is taken from a company training, those guys always act on the rude side. Not happy to take questions, if you can find one, since they do not like being visible to customers in the aisles. All the way from Midwest, East and here in the West Coast, the associates are very arrogant with a handful of exceptions. When I asked about an item which turned out to be not carried at all, I commented on Lowes have it in stock, the associate by the kitchen aisles responded then go and buy it from Lowes was a prompt confirmation of my thoughts on Home Depot. I took his kind words and did the business with Lowes just to make that guys day. Yet another instance, shopping for some wood planks, the damaged stack came to my attention and asked about the discount, then the employee said there was none, the price was the same. When I questioned on this very meaningful pricing policy, he said go ask the manager. After finding the skinny bearded manager, he seemed even more upset and ignored me with some rumble words in this very Corona store. I understand they would not be as motivated to do business as Craig Menear but, at least, being good to customers always pays back in many ways...As a result, when you put rip-off prices combined with limited selection plus bad customer service, I really keep on avoiding Home Depot and whenever I go inside, I look at the people shopping there and say myself what could have brought all those folks here.

Lots and lots of leftovers from spring/summer seeds lol. Its ok, I can get those online.Store is clean and well organized. I love that the garden area has clearance on plants that need TLC.And this may sound corny, but I LOVE when they have hand-written sale signs, I simply must buy any of those because I feel like they are a STEAL! Comment: Walk from one end of store to get what you need then walk to the opposite end of the store to get in line to slowly walk to the other end of the store to check out then walk all the way back to the other end of the store to get back to your truck. Check out is supper slow and if your a contractor its really time consuming to get what you need and get out as we dont make money waiting in long lines we make money getting the job done. She asked me if I had a card, which I did and she proceeded to advise me that my husband had to be present to use the card. I asked when this started. She indicated it was a new policy. I advised her that my husband was DEAD. He was memorialized four days ago and this just brought back memories and sorrow. My daughter went on the website and advised DORIS, that nowhere did it way the vet had to be present. She did not budge but indicated this was the store’s policy. I was upset and just left. Prior calling Corporate today; I called the store and spoke with another manager, Clarissa. She advised me that DORIS was wrong and I should return to the store for the military discount that I was entitled to. Someone needs to tell Doris.

Comment: We arrived to look at color samples. As we walked by the summer department we saw some lanters that were on clearance, they were sealed 2 lanterns together in the box. The price said $29.98 I took them to pay them. The cashier and manager don’t know about customer service. They need to be retrained. The price of $29 was for each latern not 2. The manager just said they still had the tape and foam around because they can fall, to keep them together. She didn’t even ask if I wanted to purchase 1 or both. Or even offer to cut the wrapping and tape from the package. Like if I’m going to be carrying around scissors to open up packages from the stores or (“knives or weapons”). I advise this manager to teach their employees how to treat customers better and with a smile.

She was so very helpful and unlike the other employees actually helped me find what we were looking for. Went back into the store to grab a couple more things before they closed, which they made sure everyone was aware of over the loudspeakers every five minutes and requesting all clear from departments at exactly closing time. Of course the departments were not all clear because there were numerous customers, including us, left wandering around looking for items that the employees did not know but worst couldnt be bothered to actually assist with. Comment: I wanted to inform you of a very sleazy and devious practice this store is doing to customers.I came in on 2/21/2019 to get a measurement, select carpet and get an estimate. The estimate process was fine and they used the measurement numbers I recommended. The quote was for 1008 sqft of carpet @ 2.29 p/sq ft and .89 for nike padding. This amounted to 3205.44. Fine.When the measurements were completed and the flooring quote was sent out to me I got this:1) All details on the measurement email were in yards and not feet. This was purposeful and intended to cause confusion.2) The quote details contained none of the math, cost of materials or any other calculations.3) The store rep for the estimate dealt in feet initially and the one that called me dealt in yards. This was purposeful and to cause confusion.4) The math simply did not add up on the quote. There is an extra 400.00 that is not justified anywhere on the quote. 3650.00. Since proper details are NOT LISTED ON the quote I cannot find out where these are from.5) My estimate did not include tax. This was purposeful and causes confusion. Clearly if you are giving someone an estimate it should include tax and match up fairly mathematically with the final quote.* This is a classic bait and switch !!! *I do not do business with people that play tricks like this with measurements using different units, leaving out fees or taxes and do not properly add up the cost of materials. I think this is downright wrong and will be reporting it to the better business bureau and taking the time to comment on yelp, google places and anywhere else I can post.I think you are preying on people and taking advantage of them and it is sinister.What’s more, I’m sure the store, management and corporate care nothing that this is going on and just want to squeeze every customer financially in any devious way they can. Comment: I know people love to talk s*** about Home Depot but Im lucky the one I got in Corona on Ontario they have a lot of really nice people that are smart and theres a lot of them been in the trade doing a lot of different things definitely ask their advice they could keep you from doing something really stupid, especially if youre like a homeowner or hobbyist you should definitely ask for suggestions and advice my next project is going to be a sliding glass door and theyve already helped me not screw up.

Comment: I work for a nationwide contractor and I use pro services everyday all across Southern California and this location is the worst customer service. Expect to sit in line at the pro desk for 30 minutes and get an attitude when you ask if there is another associate to help. Very annoying.

Comment: Home Depot is one of the best place to go for everyday hardware and home improvement needs. The only thing I would say is to get familiar with the Home Depot app to search anything you may be looking for. Anyone under the age of 30 there is usually clueless, and is easily replaceable by the Home Depot app. The grey haired folks there usually can help you out, but may at times still refer to the same app for gaps in their knowledge. Also beware of the walking pop-ups in store trying to make a buck off you. Good luck

Comment: I gave one star not because of Home Depots products, services, or Personnel but because when I return to my truck from a normal day at Home Depot buying tools and miscellaneous items, I find that my right, rear view mirror has been pulled away from the body of my work truck. Apparently the person who was parked next to me ripped it off intentionally because it was pulled out to the side. it damaged the steel on my truck and it damage the mirror. when I called Home Depot they said they would not be able to give me video of license plate they would only be able to give that to the police so I will need to file a police report. I was parked in the Pro parking directly in front of the doors

Comment: I’m a regular customer at this HD location and have bought mostly plants and garden products.In June of this year I bought a sugar pumpkin plant (there were 3 in the pot) and planted it with my 4 yr old grandson in the hope of having a mini backyard pumpkin patch. However the plants have grown into something other than pumpkins. How do I know : from the shape / pattern of the leaves . I googled to get info/put pictures on garden forums but no success. The point is that a 4 yr’ old ‘s hope was taken away by careless name tagging for plants.Previously I was given wrong information also on control of tomato caterpillars.The garden section needs people who know about plants and gardening.I spoke to a manager of the day who apologized.Too late now to PLANT REAL PUMPKINS NOW!!!!

That is unacceptable for a big company who cant staff or train others to learn how to place door orders. Some of us get home from work at 6 pm. This place lacks friendly customer service. A male worker passing by told a female worker that the person who is covering for both the lumber and doors should be able to help us out that they have been trained. Well she goes to talk to the lumber guy and comes back to tell us that he does not know how to order doors. Apparently no one knows what they are doing and clearly have incompetent employees. I will just take my business elsewhere.

However, I had a specific need one day and found myself in this particular Home Depot. Wow! Not all Home Depots are created equal. This business had a welcoming presence. The sluggish worker in the paint department let me stand there for 15 minutes before he told me that he could not shake the pail because the seal was broken. I worked at Home Depot for 10 years in the paint department and never had any problems shaking pails that were already opened unless I was too stupid to check the cap on the bucket and make sure that was tight .Needless to say I will be going to a real paint store to have this color matched and have them shake my bucket of paint that has already been opened ..What a joke.

When I went to check out she realized that she had to rescan all the items, a total of 9 items she was clearly perturbed. She seemed bothered that another customer slowed her down by conversing with me. Finally she seemed upset again that I asked what the balance on the gift card was. So amongst my last trip to HD I was unfortunate to have had the worst customer service in the county, thanks to a cashier named Joanne,jeane something Im that range (short hair, heavy set,late 40s woman ) Monday evening .I needed to EXCHAGE a set of nails and return some hooks my wife purchased for our decorations. When I entered the store I immediately ask return section .they tell me to the left and all the way down. once I arrived I say hi hows your day going Johanna replies we cant take a return that because, no one seen u walk in with it I reply to theres 5-6 employees that seen me she still tries to call and verify .(KEEP IM MIND SHE NEVER ASKED FOR RECIEPT) WHICH I HAVE NOW.She tells me they got denied and to call a number .It truly make me feel like differing everyone I know to Lowes .just so they can avoid that problem .
